It's a beautiful day here
in Central Pennsylvania.... I don't know how much action we had on the
river as we ran out of propane gas yesterday so for the first time in awhile
that we haven't barbequed chicken on the deck with the grill.
So instead we decided to go out to eat. While we were out, we picked up
another bottle of Propane, so we are all ready for next week.
***********************************************
I was surprised to see the gasoline prices at the gas stations.. None
have went up anymore but then again, none have come down any either. Doesn't
make sense.
Crude oil has fallen to $106.00 from a high of $147.00 a barrel just a short
time ago. I sure haven't seen the gasoline come down that much though. Let's
see.... That's down about 1/3... If gas would be down 1/3 it would
be $2.64 and that's taken from a high of $4.00 a gallon. Actually gas was
higher than that figure... But that will give you an idea of just how we're
still getting screwed.... The next time when the large Oil companies
post their quarterly earnings, they can even post a larger profit than the
record profits they've already been posting...
I see when OPEC is having a talk this Tuesday about cutting their
production.... GOOD! I'll be glad when they have to hold another one, to
cut their production even more...That will suit me just fine...
I'm seeing more and more motor cycles on the roads around where I live lately
and I'm sure it's that way all over the country...
The big auto makers are just about giving the farm away to unload their big
pick-ups because people just cannot afford the gas for them any more... Who
knows, maybe they have finally pushed the American public just a bit too
far... We ARE a Hard-headed group. Once we "wrap" our brains around
something, we can get pretty obstinate about it. (Thank Goodness)
If gasoline is dropping better in your area please let me know...

I'm sure not looking forward to this week... Every time I turn around this
entire month I have a doctor's or hospital appointment.... Geez.... I really
don't like these times... Some of them are yearly tests that I must get
done every year, but a few of them are new ones... I'm just hoping I get
done this month before next month as October is my birthday month and I want
to try and keep it a bit clean of doing things that I hate to do like "stress
tests", CAT scans, and the like..... I know, I'm not the only one.....
But when it's happening to you, that's the way you feel sometimes..
It makes it rough getting all the work done in the office, but on the fright
side, I do get caught up on my reading... (You know, witting around in the
doctor's offices.
***************************************************
Alaska is the place to live when the oil prices are high......
Every eligible Alaskan man, woman and child will receive $2,069, thanks to
this year's annual payment from the state's oil royalty program. Each will
receive and additional $1,200 from the state treasury to help offset soaring
fuel prices, a proposal by Gov. Sarah Palin that the Legislature passed in
May.
Also, approved was Palin's proposal to suspend the State's 8-cents-a-gallon
gasoline tax for a year.
(Now, while the rest of us are literally 'collapsing' under the load of this
gasoline situation, it looks like the people in Alaska are profiting from it!
Here in Pennsylvania is where they discovered oil and actually how to get it
out of the ground, up here in Oil City, PA, but we don't make a nickel on it.
Last Summer, our governor talked for about 2 minutes on dropping the state's
gasoline tax to help the prices for folks but that went no where as well...
I know they've got GIANT "skeeters" up there in Alaska, but if I received some
of that help for our gasoline costs, plus other things, I could put up with
them... Can you believe, even little babies get the money. Boy THAT sure would
help with property taxes or income taxes or lots of things.... Maybe it
wouldn't be so bad to have this Palin woman running for president rather than
vice president!!! --- Chuck)
*************************************************
Michael Moore, the dude that brought out the film "Sicko," is coming
out with a new film, "Slacker Uprising. Sometimes I think this guy Moore is
"half baked" and then again, a lot of times, he does make some sense... Well,
like him or not, the new film will be available for three weeks as a FREE
download to North American residents, beginning Sept. 23. "Slacker Uprising"
theatrically as "Michael Moore's big election year movie" as he did with
1004's "Fahrenheit 9/11," which was highly critical of President Bush.
Instead, Moore opted for a symbol of gratitude to his fans as the 20th
anniversary of his first film, 1989's "Roger & Me" nears. He said he thought
it would be a nice way to celebrate his 20th year of doing this. "And also
help get out the vote for November. He said he was thinking about what he
could do to help with the election this year.
The 97 minute long "Slacker Uprising" will be the first major film to be
released in such a way. Last December, "Jackass 2.5" was streamed on-line and
for free, but that was only a collection of leftover material from "Jackass
2."
This film, if history is any measure, could have made a decent sum in
theaters. His last two films, "Sicko" ($24 million) and "Fahrenheit 9/11"
($119 million), are two of the three highest grossing documentaries ever!
Moore said it cost about $2 million to make and that he will end up paying
about $1 million out of his pocket.
Moore hopes "slacker Uprising" will help spur young people to vote this
November. After more than 20 million 18 - 29 year-olds cast ballots in 2004
(an 11-percent increase from 2000), he's hoping even greater numbers of
"slackers" vote this year. He admits the film is for Democrats....
(Duh.... This IS a Michael Moore film.)
I hope he gets the young people out to vote, but I just hope the young people
investigate who they think would be best for the job, and not just vote
Democratic because Michael Moore made the film! --- nuff said... --

Here's another Good word for our Wonderful Legal System:
A Missouri man has spent two years in jail, confined to his cell for 23 hours
a day, because the legal system forgot he was there. Court documents show that
Joseph Shepard, 53, could have been released on bail in 2006 to await trial on
drug and gun charges, but his lawyer never filed the proper paperwork, and
prosecutors moved on to other cases. This week a new bail hearing was
scheduled, and Shepard reacted to the good news by saying, "That's what I've
been hoping for. Something like that."
(Not only another 'black eye' for the legal system, but let's not forget that
wonderful lawyer that forgot to file the proper paperwork for his client!.
Geez.... I wonder just how many awards this guy won in his community over the
last couple of years while this poor shit was stuck in a little cell 23 hours
a day? ----- I just can't say enough about lawyers! -- Chuck)
(Yes, I know the guy deserves to be punished, if found guilty of whatever he
was supposed to do, but geez.... at least give the guy a hearing before
locking him up.)
*****************************************************
Triple Whammy For Schools:
Public schools reopening around the country are facing a one-two punch from
high gas prices and the economic downturn. With thousands of families losing
their homes to foreclosure, many districts report record numbers of homeless
students. At the same time, higher fuel costs are forcing some districts to
curtail bus routes, shorten school hours, or fire staff. Detroit has laid off
700 teachers; Los Angeles has furloughed 500 administrators. (Those that
remember, I said at the very beginning of this asinine gas price rise, that it
was only the beginning of bad things to come... Shipping would be at the
top of the list, like anything that's shipped would go up in cost, which is
actually EVERYTHING! Above just reminds me of like dominoes falling....
Not mentioned, but should have been, would be the folks that did manage to
keep their homes through this mess, but wait until the property taxes comes
for their homes to support the schools, and then see how many will not be able
to pay them, and the schools will immediately have much more to worry about!

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today...
In the constellation Cygnus, there is a double star, one of whose components
has such a high surface gravity that light cannot escape from it. It is Cygnus

detected!!!

It's another extremely
beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania... it's supposed to go up to 85
degrees this afternoon but the humidity is almost non existent. The dew point
is only 57, VERY comfortable!
There's a lot of action out on the river today.. Lot's of fishermen and a lot
of them are slipping out of their boats and wading through the water fishing,
as the river is very, very low... Even though we had 3 to 4 days of rain this
past week, by golly, the soil was so dry that it soaked most of it up and not
that much drained off, into the river... If it comes up, it will only be a
minute rise.
That's just fine with me as my tomatoes are coming in full blast now and I'm
getting a good, big, bowlful each day.. I don't need high waters
"wiping" out my tomato patch, that's for sure..
They are talking about the latest hurricane, Hanna, hitting Florida, and then
traveling north, and I have my fingers crossed that that will NOT happen.
That's how, when I do lose my tomato patch, it always happens... A
hurricane comes up from Florida, and by the time it reaches here, almost all
of it is gone, except the RAIN. It always dumps a huge amount of rain on us
and upstate, the river rises pretty high, and there goes my tomato patch!!!
Of course we've had worse floods from them that the river has come up and
surrounded the house but that's not too often...
No, I don't have the option to move the tomato patch as that's the only place
on our property that gets enough sunlight for it.
I've got my fingers crossed though.
*****************************************
Over the past week, gas prices, if anything have gone up a few cents around
here.
Crude oil prices have been hanging around $115 a barrel over the last couple
of weeks... Gas was going down some... Not a whole lot but a few cents here
and there... It dropped from about $4.05 a gallon down to around $3.39 and now
it's back up to about $3.45 to $3.49.
However, crude oil has dropped about $30 or 25% from record trading levels...
Now, let's see.... simple mathematics will tell us that $4.05 minus 25% OFF
means gasoline should be selling at $3.04 a gallon!
I know the raise is NOT all due to the oil prices, but when they were shooting
up 10 to 20 cents a day, all the oil companies were screaming that it was
because the cost of crude oil was skyrocketing. Now that the crude oil is
coming down, where the heck is our decrease in prices? I'll tell you
where, it's still going into the darn big oil companies pockets, that's where
and it's just plain HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
At the rate it's going, until the cost of gasoline gets down to where the heck
it should be before all this madness started back when the hurricane knocked
out the levees down south, the cost of crude oil will have to be selling for
$10 a barrel and I'm not even quite sure it will be down then!
I doubt we will ever know for sure who is getting their pockets lined down
there in Washington, but you can't tell me they are doing nothing about these
rip off prices because they actually think they are fair.. because if
that's the truth, then they should have NEVER even graduated high school, let
alone college and became lawyers... Apparently they can't even do simple math.
Heck nowadays you can buy a half decent calculator for a lousy buck... Maybe
we should buy some and send them to our representatives and Senators and tell
them to do their own figuring...
Boy, you can bet your life, if Bill Gates, charged more that what they thought
was fair for his computer operating systems, they'd have a lawsuit against him
as quick as you could blink your eye. Why then is nothing being done at all
about this blatant rip off of the American People for gasoline and fuel oil,
and diesel prices?
Who is getting the kick backs and what will it take to get them off the kick
backs and get their asses in jail where they surely belong?
What's being done? Where is it being done? And is ANYONE even mentioning it
lately... Seems awfully darn suspicious to me, how about you?
The government controls all the utilities like the electric companies, etc.,
as we know without it, it would shut down the country... Well, what about the
oil industry? With out gasoline, heating fuel and diesel fuels, everything
would also come to a complete stop... Why then are they allowed to rape us all
and nothing is said about it?
Geez..... I've got the craps of how we need change, we have to do this, and we
have to do that, from both the presidential candidates... Maybe they
should STOP campaigning and get their butts back to Washington and DO some
changing and DO something of what needs done... They are both Senators..
They have both been out on the road for over 2 years campaigning.... Who does
their jobs when they are gone from the Senate? Aren't they needed there? Isn't
that their jobs to be there, and to help decide on bills and laws and things
that could bring NEEDED changes to help out the American people?
Well, if they've been out on the road for over two years, who is doing their
job in Washington. They are both Senators... Apparently, if the Senate gets
along just as well without them, maybe we don't need them to start with...
Maybe we could make do with just 1 Senator from each state instead of two.
Maybe we should fire 50 of them.... Do you realize the money that would
be saved from such a move? Not just for the States who sent them but for
the American people supporting them for the rest of their lives in luxury and
with the best perks, insurances, and whatever, that money can buy... They
"work" for 4 years, and then they lay on their butts for the rest of their
lives..
Yes, it looks to me that we can get along with just 50 Senators.... Get rid of
the other 50 and the ones that are left, if they miss roll call more that 4
times in a year, unless they have a darn good excuse, fire them, and fire them
without their retirement, along with all of their perks!! I'm pretty
sure if handled this way, we'd get a lot more for our money's worth.
But, come to think of it, that's a bad phrase down there, "money's worth." I
don't even think they know what the heck that phrase means, especially when
its applied to them!
I'm also including Hillary in this talk... She's also been on the road for a
couple of years... Who's doing her job? Geez, even with the huge population
that New York has, apparently the one Senator that's left when Hillary is not
there has been getting along just fine without her. Fire her butt
then. Why not... What job do you have that you could take over 2 years off,
and get full pay for it, let alone even having you job waiting on you when you
got back? I know I've NEVER had a job like that!
**********************************************
Actually, I started to write this post yesterday but it got way too late and
oozed over into today. It is another beautiful day and the river is full of
folks out having a good time on their day off, Labor Day. I can't blame them,
that's for sure....
I cooked out on the deck like yesterday, on the grill, only thing is, when the
spuds were done, and the chicken was almost done, I ran out of Propane.
Crap.... I thought sure that I had an extra bottle on hand but alas, I must
have used it this Spring when I had shut down our stoker furnace, for the
Propane heater...
Oh well, I tossed the two chicken breast into Betty's new toaster and broiled
them for another 15 minutes, (it took about a quarter of that time just to
heat up the thing,) and they were done very well... Betty broiled a
couple of small "corn on the cobs" and we were ready to eat. And eat I did,
right now I kinda feel like I'm stuffed, that's for sure...
Ah, the temps went up to about 85 but the humidity was VERY low and the dew
point was only 53, VERY COMFORTABLE. We couldn't have ordered a better day for,
I guess, is what is considered the end of Summer.. However, the temps for the
next 3 days is supposed to reach a respectable 90 degrees each and every day,
so I can honestly say that Summer is far from over. At least here, at the Blue
Bird Cottage, in Central Pennsylvania.
I kind of feel a bit guilty as the folks down in Louisiana are getting
clobbered with that darn hurricane, Gustav. I'll bet they'll be glad when they
can all head back home and start putting their poor lives back together. I
know I've been in floods, and it's no fun, no fun at all... At the time,
you wonder if you'll EVER get things back to the way they were before all hell
cut loose, but each time, for us anyway, we did finally get our lives back to
"business as usual." The main thing is, that none of us got hurt.
Properly can always be rebuilt and/or replaced, but lives are far, far
different.
Some things I've been pondering over:
John McCain has finally chosen his running mate.... the
governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, yep, a woman... This could prove to be
the poorest decision ever made and may be responsible for his death rattle as
far as his chance at the presidency. OR, it could be the best decision he's
EVER made and could insure his run at the presidency! He just may get a lot of
the women that were going to vote for Hillary, just because she is a woman. In
that case, it will pull some votes from Barak Mohammed Hussein Obama into his
coffers. If it will be enough, that's another story... Obama has a lot of
support from a ton of the Hollywood stars and there are a lot of people who
will vote for him just because their favorite star is going to. There was a
woman on the boob tube the other day that was being interviewed by a TV lady I
think from MSNBC, and was asked who she was voting for. She said Barak of
course as that's who Oprah is supporting, besides, she said he's the only
black candidate running! Geez.... why didn't I think of that? That would seem
like the intelligent thing to do, right?
Oh there is a lot of bias in this election.... the only thing is, which side
has the most?
For me it's pretty simple.... Would you sooner have an English American, an
Australian American, a Spanish American, a Mexican American, a French
American, an African American, or a just plain, AMERICAN, as your president?
I already know which one I want as MY president!
Which bank in the World is the most profitable?
I know a lot of our American banks are going under or in really bad trouble
with all of the dog gone mortgages they've screwed up on, but just which bank
IS making money in the entire world... Well, we know already it can't be an
American Bank, as the government is bailing just about all of them out so they
can just stay in business.
You're going to be surprised, or maybe you won't.... I know that I was, as I
always considered them as a very poor country..
Industrial % Commercial Bank of China Ltd. earned $9.42 billion in the first
half of the year, a 57 percent rise in profit, becoming the world's most
profitable bank!!! Remember 1 Billion dollars = 1,000 million dollars,
and this was just for the first half of this year! Wow! Now that's what I call
a well managed bank who has people working for it that obviously know just
what the heck they are doing! (Maybe our government should get a few of
those guys to come over and show our banks how they are supposed to work.
Mainly, make a profit that is!
More American women than ever are choosing NOT to
have children.
Personally, I really find nothing wrong with this when I see the many, many
single mothers, that first of all use government funds to go to the doctor for
the 9 months of gestation, and then for all the expenses it takes to have the
young one. (It took me 5 years to pay back bills to my doctor for his
pre-natal, plus care for our 4 children.) Now, it just takes a trip to the
Welfare Department, and in some cases just a phone call will bring the Welfare
folks to the pregnant woman's home, to work out how much money they are
entitled to "suck" from honest hard working men and women taxpayers for them
to have children that they don't want anyway! I have personally heard
people bragging how many "kids" they've had out of wedlock and how much of a
check they get each month for it. (These were guys, bragging how they were
going from woman to woman each month getting their "cut" of the bonanza.) I
know this is fact, as I've heard it myself.
I've read, I can't even count, over the last year, articles where "mom" have
left small children at home by themselves with no supervision to go out on
dates that usually lasted all night. One just a couple of months ago the
woman's 5 children were left with the oldest daughter of six years old, to
care for them in a "pigs sty" of an apartment and the only way the police
found out was the neighbor's complained of all the children crying and
screaming into the night. They found mom after they traced her from a
bar to her boyfriend's home, (probably doing what got her the first 5 children
to start with!)
Yes, personally, I'm all for women choosing NOT to have children.
Twenty percent of women ages 40 to 44 have no children, double the level of 30
years ago!
Hallmark has rolled out a line of wedding cards for
same sex marriages, illustrated with intertwined flowers, overlapping hearts,
or twin tuxedos. The cards omit the words "bride" and "groom", and bear
neutral messages such as "Two hearts, One promise," making them suitable for
commitment ceremonies as well as weddings....
Personally I see nothing wrong with this. People are going to do what they
want to do anyway and the card companies have make cards for just about ANY
occasion for years... Why not gay unions.... As long as people do what
they want in the privacy of their own homes, I have nothing against them...
If they parade down the street dressed weird or other offensive things, then
just as I would complain about heterosexuals, I'd have to say something
then... I think everyone should have the right to whatever they believe
in when it comes to sex as long as no one is hurt. I think that's one of the
freedoms that our fighting men and women have fought for for years in all the
wars. Yes, and probably a lot of homosexuals fought in those same wars for the
same reasons, should it be known!
*******************************************
Well, as usual, it's getting pretty darn late here, and I'm still working on
my monthly "stuff" for my Once A Month Association, like the monthly
newsletter, monthly Member Benefit Directory, Downline Reports, Checks, and
all the rest, so I'd better get back to work on that stuff as it's now over
due. Heck tomorrow is the 2nd already!!! For me now, I'm outta here, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!
(I'll see you right back here just as soon as I can!
Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today...
Betsy, a chimpanzee at the Baltimore zoo, has had sixty-five of her paintings
sold---one of them going for $75. Congo, a chimp at the London zoo, is not so
"commercial" an artist as Betsy but has made over 400 paintings. If anyone
tries to urge Congo to go on with a painting after he considers it finished,
the chimp draws lines in all directions that, in effect, cross out and destroy
the painting!

It was another beautiful,
sunny day, here in Central Pennsylvania, but a bit on the humid side. Here on
the back deck, under the huge Maple tree, though, it's always pretty cool.
Well, maybe not cool, but far from hot. If it wouldn't be for the humidity, it
would be extremely nice. I enjoy it anyway, as there is always something going
on here, in our back yard and of course the river.
My tomatoes are FINALLY starting to ripen and mature. The few I've gotten so
far have been really tasty. I have two kinds planted, tree tomatoes, they are
all pretty small, about an 1 and a half to 2 and a half inches across. Small,
but very tasty. Then I have "Texas Reliable," and they are pretty large with
some weighing well over a pound. They are also pretty darn tasty, but then
again, most home grown tomatoes taste good.
******************************************
I figured I'd better get some of my thoughts down here in my blog as tomorrow
I've got to make a trip to the hospital for some tests, they can get pretty
darn hairy, and I'm sure not looking forward to the whole mess.
You know the hospital, they can tell you that it may take a couple of hours
and you could end up there all darn day. I hope not but I'm not sure, it all
depends how much trouble they have with the tests... I'll know more
about them when they are done as I've never had anything like this done
before.... Like I said, I'm sure NOT looking forward to any of it. I've
been in and out of hospitals all my life, the longest being when I was a small
boy of 5 and 6 years old, I was in for about a year and a half.
Believe me when I tell you that no one there knows what the heck the other one
is doing!
When you have an operation, you are supposed to get a enema before you go to
the operating room. When I was a child at the Crippled Children's Hospital,
they used to use enemas on us for punishment.
I swore that when I grew up, I'd NEVER get another one!
Well, I had a total of 5 operations in my adult years and NEVER had an enema
before the operations. When the nurse would come into the room and start to
pull the drapes closed I'd ask her, what are you going to do? She'd say, I
must give you an enema Mr. Rollason, I'd say, heck they just did that about 20
minutes ago, how many times are you going to do it? They would always
apologize and say, Oh, I'm sorry that's okay then. The would be the last I'd
hear about it... That worked for me 5 times... No one EVER double checked or
looked at the chart to see if it was done, and if they did, they must have
just figured that whom ever did it screwed up, and forgot to put it on the
chart!
One hand, doesn't know what the other one does.. At least NOT in any hospital
I've been in..
The hospital is a GREAT place to be, if you are on your death bed and have no
other choice, other wise, stay the heck out of there as they WILL kill you in
there.
I have a lot of stories, but one clearly stands out as one of my best friends
in this mail order business, Tom Sult, from Baltimore Maryland.
Tom said his heart doctor told him that he definitely needed an operation as
he had bad heart valves, a leaking blood vessel at his heart and a couple of
other things wrong with him...
I asked him how he felt.......? He said that he felt GREAT like there
was nothing wrong with him... A few days later he called to tell me that he
had a stress test and that he didn't even "break a sweat." As I've had a
bad heart since 1991 I told him that in that case, he'd be better off if he
got a "second opinion!" No, he said, I don't need one, as this heart doctor of
mine, a lady, and I forget what her name is now, but he said she was supposed
to be the best heart surgeon in the state.
Well, about a month later, Tom was headed into the hospital for what he
thought was major surgery but "common" surgery.
His "doctor" even told him that he may need a "triple" bypass, or at the very
least, a pig valve installed in his heart. Wow, it sounded like poor old
Tom was on his last legs.........
Tom called me several hours after his surgery... Wow, I thought when he first
said hello to me, it must not have been too bad for him to call me this early
as I did not expect him to call until the next day...
He was elated and went on to tell me that they found nothing more than one of
his valves leaking a little bit, and they were going to let it go, but they
figured while they were "in there" to go ahead and put in just 2 sutures to
repair it...
Geez.... you could have "knocked me over" with a feather. I told him, Tom, in
that case, get the heck out of that hospital just as soon as you can... All
kinds of bad things can happen to you while you are in there....
I could tell he was about half pissed at me as he said, "Chuck, I'm NOT going
anywhere until the doctor says it's okay." I don't want to mess anything up.
They said that I can probably leave here on Saturday... (It was Wednesday when
we were having this discussion." Okay, I said, but it wouldn't hurt to ask....
He just would have no more of that talk. We discussed a couple of other
things for a few minutes and he said he was tired and had to lie down.
That was the last time that I EVER spoke with Tom. He had to be taken back
into the operating room a few hours later and "opened" back up as they had
detected trouble. It seems that he had got a staph infection and it was bad in
just that short period of time... They "cleaned" out what they thought was all
of it and sewed him back up... Two days later he was back in the operating
room and by now was in a coma.
It was so bad that this time when they cleaned him out they just left his
incisions open and didn't even bother to close them. His son was calling me
about every other day to keep me "up to date" on what was going on with Tom...
This all went on for exactly 30 days from the day he came in... That day, Tom,
passed away, it was on his birthday. He and I were the same age. Oh, not to
the day, but just a few months apart..
Yes, when Tom went in for this "necessary" surgery, he had complete trust in
his doctor and his hospital...
What excuse did the doctor have for such a MASSIVE, STUPID, IDIOTIC, mistake?
I don't know as after Tom passed away, his family quit contacting me. The last
I heard from them, his wife told me, Chuck, they, (the hospital), killed my
Tom...
Yes, I agree..... Only difference is, I think she should have included the
doctor, because if it wasn't for her, he would NEVER have went into the
hospital to start with....
What would have happened had Tom NOT went into the hospital for surgery? Well,
according to what they found, I would say the odds are that Tom would still be
with us today.
Now, like I said when I started this small article.... If you don't HAVE to go
to the hospital, and I mean half dead, bleeding to death, or something like
that, chances are that you are better off if you don't go!
Tomorrow, I do not have a choice, believe me, I tried other methods, but in
this case, I just can't get out of it... But you can bet your last cent,
that if things go well, I'll be out of there the minute I can!!! I won't
even take the time to look back over my shoulder!!!
***********************************
Heck, gasoline has been going back up a few cents over the last week...
Geez... what the heck happened... I was hoping that it would at least drop
below the $3 a gallon mark that none of us thought we could live with a little
over a year ago, but apparently not. On August the 25th, today, oil prices
edged up a hair over $115 a barrel... Big deal... before all these crazy
prices started, at $115 a barrel, if I remember right, gasoline was around
$2.50 to $2.75 a gallon! Now the crude oil prices edge up a lousy 11
cents a barrel and gasoline starts to go back up????? Bull crap!
Geez.... apparently even at $3.50 a gallon, it's STILL not enough MASSIVE
profits for this quarter for the large oil companies.....
I want to know who the heck they are paying kick backs in Washington to, and
why they are so dog gone effective....
I won't buy all that other garbage for excuses anymore... You can't tell me
that someone down there are not lining their pockets from the Oil Companies,
or their re-election funds are not bulging from contributions from the large
oil companies! Someone is on the take, actually a lot of someone's and
darn it, I want to know who!
These lousy so and sos have got to be prosecuted!
If others, someone that can actually do something about it, can't see that by
now, then even the media must be "on the take!"
Pretty soon crude oil prices will be back down below a hundred bucks a barrel
and we'll still be paying over $3.00 a gallon!
How can the average person do ANYTHING if the people in charge of our country
aren't doing anything.... (Take notice I didn't say that they couldn't do
anything...... I said they AREN'T DOING ANYTHING!)
Anyone have any ideas????? I'd like to know what you're feeling about
the cost of gas and what we should be doing about it.... Write me.....

It's getting late now and I've GOT to get to bed early... No, I'm sure NOT
looking forward to it as I hate getting up early, but in this case, it can't
be helped, so for me, I'm outta here and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!
(I'll see you right back here just as soon as I can!
Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today...
Henry Ford was convinced that the soybean was a promising raw material. He was
sure it could be converted into products with commercial value. Ford once
appeared at a convention with his entire attire, except for his shoes, having
been produced from soybeans!!! (A bit too far ahead of his times! -
