HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

T.G.I.F. It's a magnificent day here, at the Blue Bird Cottage, in Central Pennsylvania! It's sunny out and it's supposed to go up to 70 degrees!!!!
I had a GREAT mail day yesterday and am still working on that. The weekend is almost here and it looks like we'll be working around here through the weekend again. Today I must get out the Once A Month Association stuff, and also get all the applications together for Coin Savers Club. It's going to be a very FULL day!
Jeff Charlton came up with a brand new promotion for the Coin Savers Club. A new person will be able to "try out" the club for a month for only $9.95! (A $64.50 value!) For this they will receive a large box of stuff including a lot of company material, 200 promotional circulars, 200 leads, and 200 envelopes to put them in! Also, they'll receive a "Silver Eagle" US coin! This coin is about an ounce of pure silver and very beautiful. All this for $9.95. Interested? Check it out at: Coin Savers Club $9.95 deal.
Don't forget to stock up on some wild bird seed and some feed for the other animals that will be out this winter in your area..  I find that a lot of places now have this stuff on sale at this time of the year..
Well, it looks like we're going to be very busy around here today so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!
Check out today’s “Joke Page”. (CAUTION! Some Jokes are “R” rated! Use your good judgment!!!)

It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania and supposed to go up into the 60s!!!!
Boy was I wrong yesterday about my trip to the gastroenterologist doctor. It took quite a bit more time than the 5 minutes I figured it would. First the doctor was running about an hour late and after I finally got to see him it was another hour and a half 'til I got out of there less a lot of blood, (about 8 vials full!)
I now have an appointment for, are you ready for this word?, an Esophagogastroduodenoscopy or EGD. This is a test where a long, thin and flexible tube is passed through the mouth and back of the throat into the upper digestive tract. It will allow the doctor to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach, strictures, polyps, tumors, ulcers, and inflammation. It can confirm abnormalities seen on x-ray and detect others too small to be seen on the x-ray. Wow, what a mouth full!  And when does all this fun take place? Next Friday, not tomorrow, I'll be headed early to the hospital....
I also set up an appointment yesterday with him for a colonoscopy. You know what that is don't you???? Yeah that's right where they take a camera and examine the "inside" of your intestines. That shouldn't be too bad as they "knock you out". However, the 2 day preparation is a killer...  because you must, "get cleaned out" inside....  I'm not going into details for that... This fun begins week after next. I sure hope all these tests show them everything that's wrong with the inside of me or better yet, nothing! That's enough of my medical plans... and how is your day going????
Here, at my office, I sure didn't get anything done yesterday afternoon so I have a lot of "stuff" to get done from last night. It's going to be a long day, here at this office..
We're still receiving applications for the Coin Savers Club though our 2 Bucks for SUCCESS program that ended September 30th. I am going to continue to take applications until tomorrow and than I'll be getting everything together to send to the main company, the Coin Savers Club. So far we're doing pretty good but can always do better.
The mighty Susquehenna River that flows though my back yard is still on the rise. Normally the river is at 3 to 4 feet high. It's now over 8 feet and they are calling for over 9 feet at 7 AM tomorrow! I must pull off all the tomatoes on at least the row closest to the river as tomorrow it will be under water.. I guess it's about time to pull all of the tomatoes any way. I just keep putting it off knowing that I won't be tasting a REAL tomatoes until next year.
Between the tomatoes and the work left over from yesterday, it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's starting out a little rainy here in Central Pennsylvania but it's supposed to clear up and be a nice sunny, chilly day. Sounds GREAT to me!
I had a pretty good mail day yesterday and that means I have some left over to start today with some work. Always plenty of work to get done....
I have a doctor's appointment today for a different doctor. This guy is a gastroenterologist. Whew! I hope that's spelled right. I don't think I'm really going to get any thing done today except maybe an initial consultation. What's a consultation? Isn't that where they just talk to you and gather information about you and your medical programs, (and insurance information?)
Well, at least this dude is "up front" with his prices..  Initial Consultation is $140 - $200. Boy this guy must be a specialist for sure! I'll bet this will probably take all the way of 5 minutes and that's after they get my insurance information and that will probably take longer than the visit.. Sorry, guess I'm just upset when it comes to doctors lately..  When you go to as many as I.... it kind of gets to be old hat...  This visit is probably a prelude to an esophagus scope..  that's where they take a scope down your throat to have a closer look at some of your innards....  Sounds like fun doesn't it????
At any rate with the appointment, (I'll have to leave a little early), and some of the work on my desks I'd like to get done before I go, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful, sunny but cold day here in Central Pennsylvania.
I received a huge bag of mail yesterday and am still sorting through it. Our sign up date for the Coin Savers Club though our 2 Bucks for SUCCESS program ended yesterday but I talked to Jeff Charlton, owner of Coin Savers, and he has agreed to wait another 2 to 3 days to give all the members of the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder time to get their applications in. That's great as that should give us all more overspill.
Betty and I need to get some shopping done. I'm really busy here in the office so I'm not sure if we can "grab" a couple of hours to get some shopping done..
When we do get out I'd like to stop at the feed store and get something for these squirrels around our place to help them get stocked up for the winter....  They are working the furry butts off trying to get enough food themselves...
I haven't seen Verne the pet deer all this week. I'll have to check with the neighbors and see if they have seen him. I sure hope he's okay... we are in archery season.... I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.
Looks like we'll have and nice day today without rain but it's supposed to rain, again over night. After all the rain yesterday, almost 1.5 inches with in a 50 mile radius of us, the mighty Susquehenna river that runs through our back yard is on the rise. The river bureau is not yet calling for flood stage but that all depends how much we get tonight...  Oh well we'll know better by tomorrow morning.
Well, I've got plenty to get done here in my office, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's going to be a GREAT Monday here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania! However, it's pouring down rain and is supposed to rain the rest of the day. They already have small stream flooding warnings out and the huge Susquehenna River in my back yard is supposed to start rising before the end of the day. We'll just have to keep an eye on it..
I did get a lot of work done over the weekend though. On Saturday we stayed home and we got the storm windows made and up on the small attached garage and sealed. Betty also got the air conditioners, (all two of them), sealed for the winter..  Not much else to do... a few odds and ends and I guess we are about as ready as we're going to be, at least with the house.
Winter must be near as the squirrels around here are moving around at top speed gathering any thing they can get their little hands on stocking up their nests for the cold weather. There is one headed up a tree outside my office, at this moment, that has his mouth stuffed with something.
I also got a lot done in the office and all of the mail is finally caught up. At least until I pick up today's mail. Being Monday it's going to be a big one!
The deadline runs out today to join Coin Savers Club though our 2 Bucks for SUCCESS program and I'll probably be swamped with applications..  (I'm looking forward to it!)
We have also been working on the bulk mail over the weekend and should have it ready to go before the end of today....  So we've been busy as heck over the weekend....
I still have some orders from the mails to fill and some letters to write before I head to the post office to pick up today's mail.... so with that in mind.... it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!! (If you're in the east, with me, don't forget your umbrella if you must go out!)

T.G.I.F. It's a beautiful Friday here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It's still cold here, but it's supposed to get near 70 tomorrow and Sunday.
That will be great as I want to build the storm windows in our small attached garage. I did get the Plexiglas early this week but I've not had time and it's been too chilly to finish installing them. I have picked up the rest of the items I'll need to get them all up and sealed for the winter. I should get them done over the weekend. Actually I'd better get this job done now as it's getting colder and colder. Yep, we'd better get prepared for winter because ready or or not, winter is on it's way.
Today Betty's granddaughter, Jackie is taking me, (and Betty), out to lunch for my birthday present. (My birthday was October 17th.) I think we're going to eat Chinese and I'm really looking forward to it. That will be a little later. I started work, here in the office, about an hour early this morning to try and make up for some of the lost time today.
I'll be working in the office some over the weekend also. So I'm looking forward to a very productive weekend...
We're receiving applications every day from folks joining the Coin Savers Club that are developed from the Phase II downline builder segment of the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS program. If you've been though the Phase II segment and have not yet joined the company, the deadline is October 27th, Monday. You can still get your application in on time.... just pay by check or credit card and FAX me your application. Instructions are in the letter I mailed you. Don't forget if you have any extra questions about the "joining packet", click here, questions & answers page before you call me.
I am getting caught up with the mail some so hopefully unless I get flooded again today I'll be caught up by the end of today.
With all of that in mind....... it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's another beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania but a burrr.... cold one!!!  38 degrees when I got up this morning.... That's really chilly.......
I had another friend lose his hard drive on his computer a couple of days ago. Keep in mind that although hard drives, most of the time, do last a long time, they do NOT last forever. I keep telling myself to back up every couple of days but I've already put it off for over a couple of weeks. Do you realize just how long it would take to get your information back on your computer for after weeks??? How about a month???  Well, with me I work on my names data bases constantly and I could not even recover information after one day! I'm going to set up some kind of regimen to do it, at least my names data bases on a daily basis.
This friend of mine is really in bad shape as he has lost information that cannot be replaced. He sells and rents names and he actually lost his all of his data bases and virtually put him out of business for awhile...  He had backed up about a month before this happened so he did recover to some extent.
So if you haven't backed up your machine for awhile... you may want to take some time today to do just that.
I haven't seen Verne our "pet" deer in a couple of days. I sure hope he's okay...  He is pretty small so hopefully he's going to be hard to hit for the hunters. I'll let you know when he shows up again.
Well, the mailing is still heavy because of the deadline to join the Coin Savers Club, so as I look at my desks full of mail it looks as though I haven't done any work at all yesterday. With that said, it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful, but cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania. We're definitely back to cold weather though. It was only 52 when we got up and it's supposed to be a high of 52 today. Guess it's not going to get any warmer at all!
It's going down to 36 tonight so I guess I'd just better give up and take off all of my tomatoes and pull the plants...  I keep putting if off and have picked some decent maters over the last week but it's definitely going to frost here pretty soon.....
Yesterday had a lot of applications coming in to join the Coin Savers Club! We are really looking for a great signup rate this time. So if you are in the Phase II downline builder and have not joined yet, get your check, money order, or fill out the credit card information, and get it in the mail back to me or better yet, FAX it!!!
If you have received your "Join Packet" and have some questions, check here at our questions & answers page before you contact me. Chances are that your question is already addressed and answered there. It will save us both a lot of time.
The mail is overwhelming here this week so far. I didn't get a chance to even sort all the mail I received yesterday but did get Monday's done..  It has really picked up with the Coin Savers Club downline builders sending in their applications and also their yellow slips to join phase III plus the Downline builder for 2 Bucks for SUCCESS ends at the end of this month and the join rate has doubled for that one!
With all of this in mind, I guess it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!!!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go up to 72 degrees today!
I doubt we'll have too many more days like this and I should be working out doors getting things done for winter but I'm overloaded here in the office..  Yesterday being Monday was the BIG mail day of the week and mail is literally everywhere here in the office! We are definitely "overflowing" with mail.
Had another visit from our deer friend, Verne, this morning. I think he's getting to like our place. He poked around in the yard awhile and kept looking at the door. I think he wanted me to come out and play but I was busy on the phone...  Til I got off the phone, Verne was long gone! We were out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. Betty and I took our neighbor, Jane, out to eat for her birthday. She just turned 69 years old! She wanted to do a little shopping and we also stopped in at the Giant super market to get our yearly flu shots. (All 3 of us!) So we did actually get something done. Also, Jane got her Christmas shopping done for her great grandchildren, so for her, she got a bunch done yesterday. After taking Jane home last evening, I started to sort and open the mail but after an hour the pile was still immense and didn't even look like I touched it. I had to return some phone calls so I finished those and it was about 11 PM and time to wrap it up..
It felt good to get cleaned up and deposit my aching body into my recliner chair to watch Jay Leno. But instead I fell into immediate sleep. I did wake up at 3 AM and head to bed though.....
At any rate, I've got to get back on the mail pile..... It keeps staring me in the face and I'd like to get though it before I must go pick up today's mail..... so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Monday, the beginning of a brand new week, here, at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It's a nice sunny but cold one though.
We had a visit from our new wild friend, Verne the deer, yesterday afternoon. Verne's pretty small and I'm hoping the hunters around here will just ignore him as not big enough to take home as diner. However, we do have some hunters that will "shoot anything that moves." I sure hope Verne doesn't run into one of those people! At any rate so far so good, Verne is alive and kicking!
I did spend some time this weekend downloading and installing a REALLY COOL email program called, IncrediMail. It's for FREE except for a few ads but if you use it you'll see it's well worth it. It is REALLY incredible! You will really get a kick out of it and it is the easiest program I've EVER seen to set up. Just about everything is automatic even down to importing information from your other email program. It even sets up your email connection automatically! You won't have to type in any settings to get your email. Let me know how you like it... It definitely is very cool!!!
I had a GREAT time at my birthday bash at John & Debs, (Betty's son and daughter-in-law), on Saturday. Deb always does a great job cooking and it always ends up being a wonderful afternoon and evening.
I did get some work done here, over the weekend but there is still plenty of left over stuff from last week. I would like to get some of it done before I pick up the weekend mail today. So on that note, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Friday, October 17, 2003

T.G.I.F. Yep, it's Friday again. The end of the week and a very important day here in my office because it's my birthday!! Yep... I made it again to another one....  Actually a new decade for me....  I know you're anxious to know just how old I am.... Well, I officially obtained "geezer" status today! Yep I turn 60 today. Boy I remember when I was a teenager anyone over 30 seemed ancient to me! Wow, and now I'm twice that age!
I was thinking off and on this week about when we used to take the kids camping. Seems like it wasn't that long ago but I guess it must have been. It's kind of amazing the way we're built as inside I don't feel old at all. I look on younger people and find myself criticizing them for various reasons but must stop a moment and remember that I too must have went through some of the same trials and tribulations that they are going through at this moment. I do find myself thinking more about how things were so different when I was younger but maybe everyone goes through that stage.
I remember that when I was a youngster we never bothered to lock our doors when we went away. After all, someone might stop in to find us away from home and want to sit down and rest awhile.
Mom used to send us to the "Corner Store" for something she needed for supper or whatever. (That was about 3 blocks from where we lived.) Boy I used to love to go to that place. It was called "Mickey's". It had just about anything you would need, from milk, to BBs for your BB gun. to nails to build or repair something! Once in awhile mom would give us enough money to get a soda. The soda was a nickel and two cents deposit on the bottle. Boy did my brother and I keep our eyes peeled about the neighborhood for soda bottles. We would "cash" them in and buy candy, or BBs (1˘ a pack), or something important like that. Or maybe, just maybe, we would get enough together to buy a comic book! Boy if we did, we would read that copy several times just so we were sure that we didn't miss anything.
All this of course was before we moved to the Dairy Farm because after that, (I was about 12 years old), it was ALL work! Between school work and the chores, there was not much time for comic books. My brother and I did have a radio that we shared. It would even operate off batteries. Lot's of them....  Because it had the old tubes in it instead of transistors it would really take a lot of "juice" to make it work. We really loved that old set. We would listen to radio programs like "The Lone Ranger", "Lights out!", Johnny Dollar! and all kinds of neat programs. Oh well, I'd better stop reminiscing and get something done in this office today.
Yep, today I become a "geezer". I couldn't find "geezer" in my dictionary. I guess I'm going to have to look it up in one of those great big jobbies. If you search the WEB, geezer is all over the place and means different things, even a Rock Band! Course I don't feel like a geezer...   I'm glad that mother nature kind of builds you up to this age... Actually, come to think of it, the little aches and pains begin around 30 and just get slowly progressively worse over the years.... Not for everybody, but apparently that's my scenario. At any rate, after all the heart disease, heart attacks, and a myriad of other problems I'm just glad to get this far...... Anyway, happy birthday to me!!!
It's a cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania but I'm sure it's going to be a dandy! Betty is going to take me out to eat this afternoon, for my birthday and I'm really looking forward to it, but to be honest with you I have a lot of stuff I must finish first so I can drop it off at the post office. So for me, now anyway, it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a Wonderful Weekend!!!!

It's a beautiful, sunny, chilly day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Absolutely gorgeous!!
What a day yesterday. Power outage ... among other things. It just seemed like every time I turned around something went wrong.
Of course the telephone was ringing off the hook the entire day as folks are starting to receive their "sign up" packets for the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder and have questions that I never thought would arise. All kinds of questions.... If you are a member of the downline builder and are reading this and have a question about the "join package" you just received, please, before calling me, check out our Q & A page at: click here, first. You're question may already be addressed there and save us both some time.
I finally got the Plexiglas on order for the attached garage, to use as storm windows. The order is supposed to be in Monday. Hopefully I'll get them installed before the middle of the week. Looks like cold weather is approaching very fast this year. Oh well, Halloween is almost here!
As I look around my desk the piles are increasing instead of shrinking! On that note, it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful but windy day here in central Pennsylvania. Yes, I know, I'm getting this post up way late here today.
We've had high winds all last night and all day today. We lost our power several hours ago. Apparently the wind finally blew down something that was important. I had to go get extra gasoline and clean the plug, change the oil, etc. on my generator and I finally got it fired up and running a few minutes ago. That's how I'm here now, on the WEB, doing this daily post. I did wait over a half an hour to make sure the power wasn't going to come right back on. It's not that easy setting up the generator, on the deck out back, and running cables where they need to go, etc... At any rate here I am.... better late than never, right?????
Still working on the mail which is now piled high on my desks and also in between I'm keying people into our $2 data bases and getting mailing packets ready to go etc.
Now with the generator up and running I can operate this computer plus my printer etc. so I'll be able to get back to work now.. With that in mind...... I must get back to work...  I'm glad I got this post up before some of you go home from work......  YOU, YOU have a GREAT day! (What's left of it anyway.....)

Starting out a little gloomy here in Central Pennsylvania and a bit on the chilly side but it's going to be a GREAT day!
I haven't seen the deer at all since her visit over the weekend. I really pity her as right now it's only bow and arrow season but pretty soon it's going to be regular gun deer season. Heck this one comes right up to you..  It will be a real "challenge" to "bag" this deer..  Oh well I can only hope that she makes it though the season....
As it gets colder and colder my tomato plants are looking more pitiful every day.
I really hate to see them go..  It will be quite a few months before I can plant more. Oh well, that's the way nature goes.
I have one more day of mail to finish and get caught up with and that's Saturdays. About the time I get caught up with that today it will be time to go pick up the mail for today! It should be a dandy as it's not only for the weekend but for the federal holiday yesterday.
With that in mind I guess it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's another beautiful sunny day here at the Blue Bird Cottage here in Central Pennsylvania..
Betty and I finally finished all of the "join packets" for the  2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder that ended on September 30th. We finished them about 4 PM yesterday after working all afternoon Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wow! what a job! I'm taking the last down to the post office as soon as I finish this post.. I know what you're thinking, "How can he take them to the post office as today is a national holiday and the post offices are closed?" Well I know one of our post mistresses pretty well and although the post office itself is closed she will be working and all I have to do is knock on the office door and she's going to take the last 650 pieces of mail and get them posted for me! I did get over 600 in the mail on Saturday. No rest for today for me though as I had to drop everything to get out that job so I still have Friday and Saturday's mail to go through..  That will take a few hours just to go through it and sort it all....  Oh well, such is life......
Well, this is going to floor you......  Remember our pet rabbit????  For some pictures of him check out Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery. Well now it appears we have a pet deer!!!!  Yes, it's true.....  Don't believe me?????  Have a look for yourself at: Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 10.

T.G.I.F. Wow, I've been so busy I didn't even realize that Friday was here already. Hope you're just about ready for the weekend. It's foggy as heck here in Central Pennsylvania but it's supposed to clear into another beautiful day.
Betty and I were burning the midnight oil last night working on these "joining kits" for the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder that ended on September 30th. All the material has been designed and printed including the downline reports. Betty is still folding things and by mid day hopefully we'll begin assembling the "join kits" and we'll get some in the mail by mid afternoon. We have way over 1200 to do so it's not going to be a 10 minute job. I'm not mentioning this to Betty as I know she's hoping to have it all done, however we will probably run over into tomorrow before we rap up this job....
The mail continues to arrive and I haven't even sorted yesterdays yet but I am going to steal some time and go through that. The pile of mail yesterday is not as big as it has been and frankly I'm glad to get a small break from it to have more time for the other project.
I haven't got much more winterizing done here at the Blue Bird Cottage except I did get the windows in the attached garage measured. I did call the glass man twice to order some material to build storm windows but missed him twice. Hopefully I be able to get him soon as I want to finish that job before the cold weather sets in..
Well, I know my weekend will be full and I hope you're almost ready for yours. I hope yours contains some "rest" time to recharge those batteries for next week. What ever your plans are have a Wonderful weekend!!!!  For me now, it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GOOD one!!!

Another beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania but starting off with a lot of fog. It's that time of the year though and is expected.
We had a tragedy here in our neighborhood this week. Our neighbor's son-in-law was bow hunting for deer and was stationed in a tree stand. He apparently dozed off and fell out of the tree and landed on his head and crushed his skull. He was only 35 years old and left two very small children. Yes, it's a sad neighborhood here at the Blue Bird Cottage this week.....
The squirrels are still on their food hunting rampage for winter storage and are getting quite bold. As I sit here writing this, one has just come up to the sliding glass door beside my chair and is looking in. Guess he's trying to figure out a way to get in here and do some searching...  Can't blame him as we sometimes get some long cold winters in our area. I am going to pick up some squirrel feed at the feed store and put it out for them. It will be worth it just to watch them fight over it, and boy do they ever fight and argue! You'd think they were married.... heck come to think of it, they may be! Anyway that's the plan on the next trip to the big city...
I'm all caught up with the mail and applications....  I'll be spending the rest of today working on "joining packages" for the Coin Savers Club downline builder that ended on September 30th...  I have over 1200 packets to print and assemble by tomorrow night so for me it's back to work... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's supposed to be another beautiful day here, in central Pennsylvania although at the moment you can't tell it as we are surrounded by fog. It's actually supposed to go up to 75 degrees today! I'm going to have to let our stoker stove go out. Either that or roast to death! It's supposed to stay warm for a couple of days so we'll be able to get along without the stove.
We're getting prepared to send out the "joining packages" for the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder that ended on September 30th. Hopefully by the end of this week we should have all the packages in the mail..  This time we are even providing the downline names and addresses of any who have personally sponsored into the downline builder so it's going to take a little longer than usual. We had 1217 people participate in Phase II downline builder so that's a lot of packages to prepare and mail! I am looking forward to a large influx of members into the main Coin Savers Club program from the downline builder. If you are a member of the 2 Bucks for SUCCESS downline builder it's time to join the main company but wait until you receive your "join package" for your application and more information. All applications must be sent back to me for proper credit and placement. So you get all the new members that you have signed personally into your main program downline.
I'm looking forward to getting a little outside work done today as it's going to be so nice but not much as I have too much work to finish here in the office. So with all that in mind for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny but cold morning here in central Pennsylvania.
Betty's Grandson, Mike, the cop from upper Pennsylvania, tells me that they already had some snow up there and that the leaves are starting to turn on the trees..  I was really hoping that we would get a chance to drive up through the state this year to see them but I've got myself built into a corner with work. So the prospect of doing it doesn't look good at the moment....
We also still have several things to get done to prepare for cold weather. The one that will take the most time is building storm windows for our attached garage. Hopefully I'll get them measured and at least on order for this week.
Apparently we are not the only ones busy getting ready for cold weather as we have squirrels all over the place hunting for food to cart off to their nests. A month ago I thought all the squirrels had went south as I only saw one every so often.... now though it seems like they're coming out of the wood work.
I see spiny chestnut shells all over the side yard. Only thing is, the nearest chestnut trees are across the canal about 400 feet from here. They must drag them over here and then somehow get them open for the nuts inside. Darned if I know how as those spiny husks will really stick you if you fool with them. As many of the husks that are in the yard I just can't seem to observe one of the squirrels opening them. I'd sure like to get a picture of that!
As yesterday was Monday I received a large bag of mail that I haven't even finished sorting. Betty is getting ready to go to the Laundromat down here in Dauphin to wash our clothes. Hopefully I can get a lot of entries ready that she can assemble sometime later today. There is no sense in my rushing to get to the post office as I must finish what I have before I get to the next batch anyway. So with that in mind... I guess it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

Monday, the beginning of the week and a beautiful sunny one it is here in Central Pennsylvania! A bit nippy, as we're still in the cold spell but a nice day at any rate. I look forward to it.
I worked all weekend and got all the mail caught up. I still have a few orders to fill but all of the applications for the $2 downline builders, 2 Bucks for SUCCESS, and $2 = SUCCESS, are all up to date. We are processing the data base for the Coin Savers Club downline builder as we will be mailing over 1200 sign up packages this week. Boy, I'm really looking forward to that job! (Ugh!)
We did take a couple of hours yesterday to visit the Silver Springs Flea Market that is about 20 miles from where we live. I was there to look for computer parts as I'm fixing a computer for one of the kids. Boy, that thing is huge. It has two very large buildings that are jammed packed with various vendors and about 25 to 40 acres of outside vendors. I did find about 3 computer and parts vendors and did find what I needed. Now all I have to do is get the time to fix the darn thing....
I still have several orders I'd like to get done before my trip to the post office and I'm out of some stamps....  Especially for the large 9 X 12" envelope mailers so I may have to take an extra run to the post office to get stamps and then another trip to mail all the entry envelope we got done over the weekend....  I'm sure it's way over 150 of them...  I worked for 8AM Saturday morning until about 10:30 PM and most of yesterday.. Finally finished them about 9:30 PM last night!
So as I look around at the "small" piles on my desk, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!!!!

T.G.I.F Friday, already? Where did this week go? It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania. However, it's a very cold one. It was 36 degrees when I got up this morning.... way below the average of what it should be.
I covered my tomato plants last night and went down this morning to take the plastic off. Even though there was a slight coating from ice on top of the plastic it looks like they made it through the night just fine. Tonight it's only supposed to go down in the lower 40s so they should be fine. We should be getting tomatoes for another week or so.
Yesterday we cleaned our stoker stove and I replaced some stove pipes and we did get it fired up for last night. Boy, with temperatures down into the low 30s it's good we did. It sure was nice waking up to a warm house this morning! We're getting winterized here at the Blue Bird Cottage slowly but surely. We still must make some storm windows for the attached garage and get them on before really cold weather hits.
As you probably surmised I didn't get a whole lot of work done here in the office yesterday. So now I'm running about 2 days behind, that means I'll have to use the weekend to catch up again. So for me I'll be working most of the weekend. I sure hope you have better plans than I do for your weekend.
I must get caught up that's for sure as next week I'll be mailing out around 1200 joining packages for the Coin Saver's Club downline builder that ended the first of this month. I gave folks an extra 5 days to get their applications in for the builder and that will end on Sunday. So about the middle of next week the packages will start being mailed. As for now, as I look around this office..... it's definitely back to work for me.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Weekend!!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania..... but a brrrrrr.... cold one! It's only 47 degrees out side at the moment. I have a couple of heaters going but I think it's time we cleaned the furnace today and fired it up as it's supposed to go down to 35 degrees tonight.  It actually smells like hunting season outside. You hunters will be able to relate to that.
Our morning paper mentions that our Pennsylvania Sales Tax will be increasing to 6.5% from 6%. It's been 6% for years but we now have a governor that, as far as I can figure,  sits up at night thinking of what taxes can be added and raised in Pennsylvania. The guy looks like a mafia member so when he started pushing for slot machines at race tracks etc., it didn't surprise me at all. When he pushed to raise the Pennsylvania income tax that was no surprise. Now he's screwing with the sales tax. I'm not sure but he's raised almost all the taxes we have and have created a few...  Just keeps me on pins and needles wandering what's next. California has problems with their governor..... I think Pennsylvania should take California's lead and dump this dude....  Pretty soon no one will have time to even sign a petition as they'll be working 24/7 just to pay the taxes! Oh well there's my weekly gripe. Our motto on our PA plates used to read, "You've Got A Friend In Pennsylvania." I really do think it would be more appropriate to read, "PENNSYLVANIA THE LAND OF TAXES!"
So how was your day yesterday? We had "fun" most of the day running from one doctor to another.  Looks like my blood test turned out pretty good as my hemoglobin has increased some. Also, Betty's mammogram turned out good. Yep, although I didn't get much done in the office here yesterday, it did turn out to be a good day!
Talk about work..... looks like it's BACK to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!

It's a cloudy and quite cool day here in Central Pennsylvania in the middle of the week. It's supposed to stay cool all this week and weekend...
We did get the Once A Month Association stuff done yesterday. We finished up about 10:15 PM last evening. That will all be mailed this morning. I won't get much done this morning or this early afternoon as it's another trip to my GP doctor to follow up on the CAT scan and blood tests of last week. After that it's a trip to the laboratory for Betty's yearly mammogram. That means we will probably be tied up most of the day but I should be home late afternoon and all evening to get some work done here in the office.
Today not only begins a brand new month but also a brand new downline builder Phase III for the Coin Saver's Club!
Get in now, at the beginning, so you can build a nice downline before December 31th. Then when you join Coin Savers you'll be in profit immediately!!! Check 'em out...  We're making a nice commission check each month and you can have one too. We'll help you!!!
Well, it's almost time to leave for the appointments..... so for me I must get a few things done before I leave.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!
