Aren't holidays fun? Well, I guess it depends on what you are doing at any given time to get ready for them. If you're standing in line waiting to pay for a cart full of gifts and the line is moving as slow as molasses in January, I guess that can be a little irksome. Or if your out on the roads in the holiday traffic, that can also be very trying. However, certain things I really enjoy about the holidays. Like tomorrow, Thanksgiving. A visit to the kids house, a wonderful meal, and a leisurely visit. Now what can be better than that? Besides, I didn't even mention that I'll be taking most of the day off! Can't beat it with a stick. I also enjoy putting up the Christmas tree and looking at all the neighbors decorations. The spirit of the holiday, the singing, and the music. The exchanging of gifts. Watching the younger children when they open their gifts. Now that's what I call a good time! Yes, there are a lot of good things to enjoy around the holidays....
The weather folks were calling for 3 to 6 inches over last night to hit the Central Pennsylvania region but alas, we got a small dusting. Apparently the "storm" missed us and went up into New York state before it dropped any appreciable amount of snow. What it did leave here though was COLD weather! It's super cold out there for our area and it's not expected to get out of the mid thirties today! We got the cold but not the snow..  Oh well, maybe next time.
With the latest visit to the hospital and being on the mend, etc., the computer and I have decided to not only take Thanksgiving Day off but Friday as well witch will make it a nice long weekend. I have a lot to get done before the end of the month, as usual, but hopefully I will get some rest time in there as well. So I'm going to get back to work now, and the Computer and I will see you back here at our Daily post on Monday morning, December 2. YOU have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving, and a safe holiday weekend!!! See ya Monday morning!!!

Thanksgiving is almost here. Just today and tomorrow and it's here. Are you ready? That's one of the good things about aging. We always get invited out to one of the kid's houses to eat our Thanksgiving meal. This year we're going to John's, (Betty's son), house. His wife Debbie is a terrific cook and I've never been disappointed with any meal we've eaten there. She always cooks a big meal and does a bang up job of it. Maybe I should stop eating now so I have plenty of room 'til Thursday. I've got to get off this subject as my mouth is starting to water and I don't want to short out my keyboard!
The weatherman is calling for up to 4 inches of snow before tomorrow morning. Wow! I can hardly believe that we'll have snow this early. Most of the time for the last several years, here in Central Pennsylvania, we haven't received snow until after Christmas. Oh well, the weather is fickle lately. Maybe we'll get a chance to use the 4-wheel drive in the Jeep this year. I bought it new in 1997 and have only had it in the 4 wheel drive mode for about 10 minutes since we bought the darn thing.
Mark Smith and my Pre-Launch for International Coin Liquidators is really exploding and I've got to get back to work and get out 5 more welcome packages so It's back to work for me and YOU have a GREAT day!

A new week and a beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania to start it with! I bought Spam killer software over the weekend and I installed it last night so I'm still learning how to use it. I just got so darn tired of getting unsolicited pornography emails. The emails advertising their sites are bad enough but lately they include explicit graphics. I'm no prude by a long shot but I just don't want those things jumping out at me when I least expect it. Besides that if someone is in my office when I download my mail it looks like I'm a porn freak. Now, with this software, I have a fighting chance to get rid of these suckers! (no pun intended) I'll let you know, in the future, how it works.
My cell phone contract runs out the end of next month so I've been looking around for a better plan than I have. Over the years the plans have been getting better and cheaper as cell phones become more popular, but not this year. Most of the plans have little or nothing more than I'm already getting and the prices start out $10 more a month than I'm already paying! Well, maybe they'll come out with some Christmas specials or something. If you hear of any good deals here in Central Pennsylvania please let me know about them.
We haven't seen our "wild" bunny rabbit around here in the last 3 days, today's the 4th and I'm beginning to think that he has "bought the farm".  It may be that he has died from old age as we're not sure how old he was. I'm not sure what the life span of a cottontail rabbit is. I'd better look that up.
We finished assembling the bulk mail over the weekend. Now all I have to do is print the mailing labels, get the checking copies ready, do the paperwork, and box them up, and we'll be reading to drop 'em off at the post office. With that in mind, I'd better get back to work and YOU have a GREAT day!

T.G.I.F. It's here already! Friday, the end of the week and almost the beginning of a wonderful weekend! At least it will be at this household! I'm feeling better each day and I'll enjoy this weekend more than the last few since my trip to the hospital. That's the great thing about time. It not only takes time to heal things but to heal things mentally also. Like a close friend passing or a family member. The same thing goes for a break off of a boy friend or girl friend, as far as that goes any kind of mate. Of course with the last example its better if you find a new one after awhile. It makes the break up feel much, much better! Yes, time helps with just about everything except aging. Getting old has its ups but I personally think that it consists mostly of downs. Everything falling down or drooping. You get tired faster, move slower, everything that happened to your body back in your younger days comes back to haunt you when you get older. Ever had a broken bone. Well you'll feel it again when you become old enough. All the cuts, bruises, broken bones, dislocations, operations, all of them will come back to haunt you with aches and pains in your old age. Of course it's not all that bad. There are some good things to getting old. I'm not even going to go into the family benefits about seeing your grandchildren grow and your children get older etc., but you get to see the constantly changing technology which I really love. The improvements in computers, electronics, automobiles and just about everything else. And of course the movies are better on the whole. Yes there are plenty advantages to reaching a ripe old age too. Of course I don't know all the benefits just yet. I am getting older, (59) but there are a lot of folks older than that I'm sure would have plenty to add to my above ramblings.
Now though, I'd better concentrate on what I must get done before my weekend starts and get my butt back to work. YOU have a WONDERFUL, safe weekend!!!

Looks like we're in for about three days of rain here in Central Pennsylvania. That's okay though as I have plenty to do right here in the office and around the house over the next few days. We had a GREAT time yesterday with Betty's son and his wife Cherry, even joined us at the Chinese restaurant for lunch buffet yesterday afternoon. Diz, then followed us home and we had a great evening giving him gifts and just plain shooting the breeze. The mighty Susquehanna river, (that runs in our back yard), is on the rise and now they are calling for 3 more days of rain. So far we are in good shape but we'll have to wait over the next week to see just how much rain we get here and to the north of us. I sure don't feel like evacuating again here. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see. We may see some early snow around here too on Saturday. Wow what odd weather. We used to get all kinds of snow here. Of course that was before 1997 when I bought our 4 wheel drive Jeep. As our little country lane access road back to our place used to get quite impassable I thought after all the years of getting stuck back here we'd get a 4 wheel drive vehicle and then when the snow came we could feel confident that we would not get trapped and need something. Well, since 1997 when we bought the new Jeep I haven't had it in the 4 wheel drive mode for I'll bet over 10 minutes! I'm not complaining as I like a little snow for the Christmas season just for the effect, but after that's over, you can keep the snow as it's nothing but trouble.
Lots to get done around here today. We're also assembling another bulk mail too so I'd better get back to work and YOU have a GREAT day! (Do your "non-computer" friends a good turn today and print out today's joke sheet and let them pass it around. It will definitely brighten their day! Just click right below on the "Joke Page". )

We're in for a nice sunny day here, in Central Pennsylvania. A little nippy but nice. It's going to be a great day for our plans. This morning I'll be working in my office as usual however early afternoon will find us taking Betty's son, John Desmond, out for a nice lunch and spend some time with him as his birthday is this week. So we should have a very nice afternoon.
Seems like the Christmas ads are coming out early this year. Not just the newspapers but also the Internet ads. Every day my Email box has lots and lots of ads for things that are always on special, just for me of course, to buy for my family and friends for Christmas. Only 35 days shopping days left until Christmas. Well, I guess that's not really that many. Actually we start buying Christmas presents months before Christmas. If I see a good special that will make a good Christmas gift I buy it and stick it back 'til Christmas. There are lots of stuff offered at www.christmas.com this year. For lots of Christmas sites just type "Christmas" into your favorite search engine. It sure costs nothing to look. That's my favorite thing. It's a lot cheaper than buying!
So far it looks like our "wild" bunny rabbit is doing well in this cold weather. I do take notice that he's not eating as well. We used to sit outdoors and feed him. Now that it's so darn cold, most of the time we just sit out a plate of carrots and dried wheat bread for him. He doesn't seem to eat as much. I think he misses us feeding him by hand. He has a much better coat for this weather than we do, that's fer sure!
Well, I do have some things that I must get done 'til Diz, (John) arrives, so I'll get back to work, and YOU have a GREAT day!

It's hard to believe that winter does not arrive, "officially" here, in Central Pennsylvania for over a month from now. At least not after getting up to nearly freezing temperatures this morning. Brrrrr, it was really cold out this morning. Thank goodness for furnaces. I was just watching 3 squirrels play in a tree right outside my office in a tree. Running each other and jumping from branch to branch and just basically having a ball. They're not a bit cold. Actually they seem to enjoy this nippy weather. It reminds me just how fragile we humans are. We are of course in the animal family but by golly as far as being made hearty and able to get off to a fast start, we got the short end of the stick. Just about any animal you can name when they are born within minutes they are on their feet and looking for mama and for food. On the other hand there we are minutes after we're born bawling and crying and waiting for our parents to "tend" to us and take care of us. Wow! We can't even walk for a year or so. Compared to the rest of the animal kingdom we are made quite puny. Take a cat and drop it off a one story house. It's able to maintain it's balance, land on it's feet and walk away as if nothing bad had happened. Now, you take the same plunge. You've got a good chance of breaking something and or even death! We may eventually, as we grow, develop more brains than the average animal, however that's about the only thing that we're superior over them with. We can't see as good, run as good, climb as good, and we sure can't smell as good as they can.  (Hey! there are the squirrels again, they ARE having a ball...) They may have a short life span and are food for other animals but they don't have to earn a living and go to work everyday. Hmmmmm... did I say we have more brains???
Got the bulk mail out yesterday and we're going to start another one today. Also, I've left some things go to get the magazine/newsletter written that now needs to be finished, so with that in mind, it's back to work for me. YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania to start a new week! It's going to be a Jim dandy too as Betty and I assembled the bulk mail yesterday and it's just about ready to go to the post office. I just have to do the paperwork on it and load it into the Jeep. As this mailing is running late because of my short trip to the hospital we'll be doing another mailing this week almost right away.
I think the government is just looking for ways to take some of our Internet rights away and if these stupid porno dealers keep it up they'll give them some good reasons. Even though the law says that unsolicited Email must have some way of contacting the sender so you can request to be removed from their mailing list I continue to get loads of smut every day with no way of contacting them to tell them to stop. Some come right with smut pictures right in the email itself! I can see why parents of small children are concerned. Getting this crap is bad enough but getting it with explicit pictures is really going overboard. You'd would think these idiots would realize that if someone is interested they will go to their advertised site if they were interested without pictures. Most if not all I've received lately I can't stop. If you hit reply and send an email telling them you are not interested the darn thing just bounces back with a note that it could not be delivered and the few that do come though with a removal procedure either to email them or to click to a removal site does NOT work. I wish someone would invent a program that could find these *.*%$$#'s and stop them before the Government decides that they'll have to protect us from the smut peddlers and then you can bet your bippies that we'll lose a lot of other rights along with anything they pass.  Oh well, if you've ever heard of any kind of software to get to these dudes please let me know about it and I'll pass it along. I don't want to use the type of software, "protect the kids" kind of stuff as that also may shut down sites that I DO want to view...
Well, looks like we're in for a very productive day here at my home office so it's back to work for me and YOU have a GREAT day!!! (Do a favor for a friend and print out the following joke pages and give to them to pick their day up!)

T.G.I.F. It's another beautiful morning here in Central Pennsylvania! We'd better enjoy today around here as they are calling for a nasty, cold, rainy weekend. That's just fine for me though as I have plenty to get done right here in the office over the weekend. I have finished writing and pasting up the latest "Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities", finally, and we will have an issue out in the mail by tomorrow. It's been a struggle and we will be doing two mailings a week until we are caught up!
While I was looking at the news online this morning I ran into this tidbit that may interest you. You can now take a virtual tour of the White House! I only started it as I didn't have time to do the entire thing right now but when you get a little time you may want to have a look for yourself. Just click here, "The White House Tour", and have a 'look see' for yourself.
I've been seeing lots of wooly bear bugs lately and they all have a black quarter inch coloring on each end with a long light brown middle. According to my mommy that means we will have a rough beginning of winter and a rough ending of winter with a mild winter all through the middle. The wooly bear bugs don't lie! That's a 'fer sure'!
Now that I have the magazine/newsletter written and pasted up I only have 4 more pages to print and it's ready for assembly. Sooooo..... It's back to work for me and YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania. Very chilly but a beautiful day! Whoa, wait a minute, our "Wild" Bunny is looking through the sliding glass door in my office right to my left. Looks like he's hungry. I just called Betty to bring some "grub" for him. Geez... he almost pulled the plate out of Betty's hand. Boy he must be hungry!
I'm feeling much better as each day passes. Getting back to my old miserable self. Pretty soon I'll be just as miserable as I always was. Well at least I got out of fixing the coal stoker every day as I'm not allowed to lift over 7 to 10 lbs for at least a week. Betty's been doing that job with not one complaint. To be honest I'll be glad to get back to it. I kind of miss doing just that small chore. Oh well, it won't be long.
I'm still hustling to get caught up here, in the office. My good friend and partner, Mark Smith and I have started our pre-launch program for The International Coin Liquidators and I worked late last evening setting up the data base we'll need to keep track of the folks who join it. Just a few finishing touches and I'll start putting in names and addresses. I'll have to send each a promotional circular etc. so that will be some more work for me. That's okay though as once the data base is set up, I have already designed the circular and it won't take too much time addressing each etc. So we're off and running....
With that in mind plus all the other things that are awaiting my attention, I'll be getting my butt back to work. YOU have a GREAT day!!!

The middle of the week already and all is proceeding as planed. In a pig's eye it is! Nothing seems to be going on schedule this week. Some things have gone quite well but all is late and will probably remain that way longer than I had thought they would. I thought I'd be able to get caught up by working a little overtime however, by the time evening gets here I'm just about shot. What's that Old, Old song when I was a kid? Oh yeah now I remember it was called the Pop Corn Song. To give you an idea of how the words went here's a little of it. "Too pooped to pop and I ain't lyin', too pooped to pop just a layin' here fryin', salt and butters ready and the fire, it's hot, but I guess I'm just too pooped to pop!" Yep that's it.... I guess "I'm just too pooped to pop", here lately. Hopefully that will pass in the near future. I least I hope it does. That aside, everything is going pretty good. A few more pills to take, and I had to cancel my dental appointments for 3 months, (because of the heart stents), but other than that things are going pretty well.
My good friend & partner Mark Smith and I are finally ready to begin our pre-launch of the International Coin Liquidators now! It's only two bucks to get in and receive your placement ID number and promotional materials. Then go for it! AT this time you will surely get plenty of spill over into your downline. When it's time to join the ICL company, in about 3 months you will get $25 bonus for each and every personal signup you get that joins ICL at that time. For all the information click on the above link or at the bottom of the column on the left of this page and check it out. You won't be sorry!
Well, with all this work to catch up on I'd better get my butt into it. YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Tuesday, November 12, 2002

This may be your first day back to work since last week. If so that's great as that means you're in for a short week. I'm sorry for running so late getting up this post today but it seems here lately, that I'm late getting everything done. I'm really looking forward to getting caught up with a lot of "stuff"... that's a fer sure! If you're in good health don't forget to get your yearly physicals and take your daily vitamins etc. Believe me in the long run it will be worth it because once you've lost your health it's a never ending battle just to stay feeling good enough to get some things done. And on top of that it's seems like you're always on your way to different doctors constantly. To me sometimes it seems like every other day.
Today should be a GIANT day for mail as not only the weekend but a holiday has passed without any. I'd better take along my duffle bag to the post office. I do love tons of mail, (and orders mostly), however when you must go through so many letters, it's less enjoyable when you have so much to get done. Around my small office, if I must take off a few days, I swear it takes me over a month to get caught up. Now to top that off, I can't even work that late as I get pooped too easily. It's a darned if you do and a darned if you don't situation. Thank goodness with any kind of luck that will pass as I'm feeling much better as each day passes. I still have a lot of stuff to get done, but I'm going to wait a while until the rest of the heart deal heals up some..  Then I'll worry about other health issues.
As far as today goes, I can't even tell you what I'm going to do as there is so much of it I'm going to get done what must be done first, pay some bills, get out some orders, and answer some correspondence. After that, hopefully, I'll get some real work done. Soooooooooooo... I'd better get started, YOU have a GREAT day!!!
(Oh I forgot to mention that I had the Jokes link screwed up yesterday. I've fixed that and today's also works fine... So sorry about that!)

Yes! I made it and I'm back! I had 3 stents installed in my heart and All is well with that part. I feel pretty good. Sore as heck and must take it easy for a couple or three weeks but other than that not bad at all. I found I had some other problems while in the hospital but nothing life threatening at the moment. They were going to keep me in over the weekend for more tests but thanks but no thanks. I think I'll let my heart heal a bit before we do anything else.
It's been nice but rainy around here in central Pennsylvania for the last couple of months. That sounds dreary but not really as our drought is almost over..  That's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say.
While away the work has piled up almost to the ceiling, here in my home office. A ton of things to get done this week. I've already started some today but alas, I have to stop every once in a while to sleep. I don't think I've ever slept this much in my entire life! I'm not complaining as I do feel pretty good considering....  At any rate with all this stuff to get done it's back to work with me. You may have today off, I HOPE, as it's a national holiday, however if you don't have a look at today's joke sheet as it will raise your spirits! YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Next Post Here should be either Friday the 8th or Monday the 11th as soon as I get back from the hospital!  Take care 'til then!  --- Chuck

Tuesday, November 5, 2002

Looks like we're in for another good day here, in Central Pennsylvania. Been working long and hard here in the office and still don't have done what I was hoping to get done before my trip to the hospital tomorrow. Oh well I guess it sure isn't going any where and will be here when I get back home. As I mentioned yesterday, I probably won't be getting out until Friday sometime so this may be the last time I post here to the daily this week. If so YOU have a GREAT week. Don't work too hard until I get back, okay? There is so much going on in my mail order business I don't know how it will survive until I get back but I guess those things kind of take care of themselves. I know I'll probably have a ton of mail waiting on me.
We now have two deer living in our area. Going for my walk the other day I came within 20 feet of one, it stood still and gave me the eye for a full couple of minutes, 'til it finally ran into the woods. Then, I saw them again yesterday afternoon across the road right out of our front door. They seem pretty tame. I hope they get a little wilder as deer season is just around the corner. Well, I've got a lot to do today to get ready for tomorrow so it's back to work for me. Don't forget to check back here for my next post either this Friday or next Monday!

The beginning of a brand new week! It's going to be a short one for me. My heart doctor called over the weekend and now instead of entering the hospital on Thursday it looks like I must go in a day earlier on Wednesday. I probably won't be out until Friday sometime so I'll post here tomorrow and that may be the last post until next week! If I feel up to it, I'll put up a post on Friday if I get home to let you know what's happening and fill you in on what's happening around here. I'm working overtime here as I am trying to get a bulk mail out before I go in on Wednesday. I'm still not done writing and pasting up the Newsletter/Magazine "Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities" but I'll be working on that today and then I'll be able to print it. Then all I must do is get all the insert circulars folded and it will be ready for Betty to assemble. I'm going to try to finish it today and that will give me a day's break before I must leave for a few days.
The trees are about half colored here, in Central Pennsylvania. I'll try to get a few pictures today so I can put 'em up for you to see too. The mountain right across the river from us is beautiful! A really nice Fall setting! It's the time of the year around here for fresh squeezed cider. I'm looking forward to getting some real soon. Well, I'd better get back to work, take a look at today's jokes some real good ones today. And YOU have a GREAT day!

T.G.I.F. The end of the week and just a few hours before our weekend starts. It's going to be a GREAT one. Hopefully I'll get a lot done in the office as I've lost a lot of time this week running to doctor's and for tests etc., getting prepared to go to the hospital next week. Matter of fact I must go to the hematologist this morning for more blood tests. As it's at 11 AM I'll have to leave here pretty soon as it's over on the west shore and will take some time to get there.
Halloween was a blast, as always, yesterday! We had some trick-or-treaters and there was a lot of GREAT stuff on the TV. I worked pretty late last night but still had time for celebrating Halloween. Oh well, I'll have to take down and put away my decorations over the weekend 'til next year.
There's going to be some good football over the weekend and those of you who like racing won't be disappointed either. Another GREAT FALL weekend! Still working to get my Once a Month Association mailings ready and in the mail today so I'm going to get back to work. YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!
