T.G.I.F.
It's not only a beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania but it's supposed to go all the way up to the mid 70s... Yep, Spring time is here for sure.... We're in for some falling weather tomorrow buy Sunday looks pretty good... I'll be inside here in my office most of this weekend as I have tons and tons of work to get done...  Some stuff is past due, getting done that is, since last weekend.. So you know I'll not be going anywhere over the weekend...
************************************
Not only is it the end of the week today, but it's the end of the month as well. It's hard to believe as it seems that March has passed by pretty darn fast...
Just seems like we just started the month and it's over already... The good thing is that means Summer is well on it's way... Looks like on Sunday were going to turn the clocks ahead here in Pennsylvania.. I know not all of our states do this but we do. Come to think of it, I think it's only 2 states that don't observe daylight saving time, Hawaii and Arizona. I kind of look forward to it as the days seem much, much longer in the evening.. I like the daylight in the evening more than in the morning, that's for sure...
************************************
Don't forget as today is the last day of the month that means tomorrow is April Fools Day! Don't get caught with your "pants down."
The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Prior to that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25. The celebration culminated on April 1. With the reform of the calendar under Charles IX, the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved to January 1.
However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.
This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fool's Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.
There are many more interesting facts about April Fools Day and you can find them here: April Fools Day
Just make sure you're not made the "Butt of the Joke" tomorrow and keep alert, especially when you first get out of bed as that's when you're most vulnerable.
************************************
Today we, Betty and I, are not only getting the bulk mail ready to go to the post office but we are also working on the end of the month "stuff" that must be done for the
Once A Month Association, the Newsletter and the Monthly Member Benefit Directory, including the commission checks must be done by the end of the last day of the month. I'm hoping we get it done in time before the post office closes or like it or not, it will be going out in the mail Monday.. Betty keeps telling me that I worry too much and that you can only get so much done in a days time.. I know in my own heart that she's absolutely right but for some reason I just can't stop worrying about getting things done... Maybe that's why I have "heart disease".... It sure could be at least one of the reasons... At any rate, until I'm caught up with some things... I don't think "worry time" will be stopping anytime soon for me...
*************************************
Today my monthly commission check from the Tape of the Month program business that I belong to is due and it couldn't come at a better time as Income tax is due in a couple of weeks and I'll be needing it, that's for sure... Our downline builder for the program is REALLY doing well with our latest Phase XI as a day doesn't go by that I don't put at least 3 or 4 people into it..  It's growing and it's growing big... Want to get in the downline builder for on $3 bucks and join the main program later... just click here: Phase XI
************************************
I'm really not going to "piddle" around here too much this morning as I have a ton of "stuff" to get done before MY weekend begins and as I look around at the piles of work on my desks and all over the dining room table for me I must get back to work, and YOU, YOU, have a GREAT weekend!!!
Oh, if you have time, check out today's jokes as there are some "Jim Dandy's" in there! (I'll see you right back here on Monday! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
A young man named Steve Brodie began telling friends around New York's Bowery in 1886 that he was going to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge as a stunt. For several months he talked about it, and on July 23, the day of the event, he spent a long time in a tavern getting ready. A friend drove him in a wagon to the center of the bridge and left him there. A policeman saw an object fall in the dark to the East River below and a rowboat picked Brodie out of the water. Brodie became famous and opened a saloon where people listened to him describe his deed. There is no proof that he did jump or that he did not. Another young fellow, named Larry Donovan, later made the leap before witnesses. He survived, and was fined $10 for obstructing traffic!

Spring has definitely sprung around here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania as it's not only sunny out side but supposed to go up into the high 60s again this afternoon!!!  It's just beautiful here!
************************************
You know it really roasts my goat when I get a letter in the mail along with a bill and it reads "Last Notice", and tells me to remit such and such amount of money to them for something that I KNOW that I've never received. What really gets me is they know exactly what they're doing as by golly some older folks will send them the requested money as they will think that they just forgot to do so for something they ordered and they sure don't want to admit that they can't even remember what it was they ordered...
These devils pray on older folks all the time..  Another thing that roast me are companies that make their stationery look like they, the company, are official representatives of some branch of the government.
The Department of Labor has a law that if you have employees you must post certain charts to make them aware of just what their rights are... That's fine and I'm glad that there is such a law.... but I have been plagued with a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th notices so far from this company, that coincidently has an "official" looking seal on the upper left corner of their letter, down in Harrisburg that I still haven't ordered the "official" signs to post at my business. Number one is I only have one part time employee, I am NOT required to post the signs but that's not what bothers me....  Number 2 is as long as the signs read exactly what they are supposed to read and are the proper size you can make them yourself... Also, this company that keeps sending me all the notices are charging close to 100 bucks for them!
Some people, such as secretaries etc., will fall for this scam as they'll not want their employers getting into trouble because THEY forgot to order the signs..
These rotten "so and sos" should be put out of business!
Back to the senior citizens getting ripped off...  That's where a lot of these lottery "rip-offs" get their money... They send out letters telling folks that they won thousands of dollars and all they have to do is send in 20 bucks for insurance and handling fees so they can "release" these winnings.... Yeah, and you can bet they'll send out these winnings, "When Pigs Fly."
People 60 and older make up 15 percent of the country’s population but account for an estimated 30 percent of fraud victims. With baby boomers swelling the ranks of retirees, regulators expect an increase in financial scammers preying on them.
“People will stop at nothing ... to defraud,” said by a fellow that spent time in jail for conning seniors. His advice for seniors: “Don’t invest out of fear or greed.”
Click here for a GREAT article on this subject. Seniors are favored targets of investment scams.
*************************************
It's hard to believe that this month is almost over already... That means that I'm up in another day to get my end of the month "stuff" done
for the Once A Month Association, the Newsletter and the Monthly Member Benefit Directory, including the commission checks must be done by the end of the last day of the month.
That coupled with a lot of other work that's been getting behind looks like I'm in for a lot of work over the next day and over this weekend for sure...  Oh well.....  who said life was easy?
*************************************
This was on our local Television Station yesterday morning:
If your gas tank is running low you might want to head to the pump quickly . As of last night, the price for regular gas at one station in Susquehanna Township was $2.47/gallon.
Industry experts say later today, prices will be even higher. That's because refineries have to re-tool,
(yeah, bull crap - Chuck), meaning they're shifting from making heating oil to more gasoline.
One local gas delivery man says a higher price means fewer people fill up and that gives refineries a break to make the switch.
Some industry experts predict prices could hit $3.00/gallon by summer.

Now, there was nothing at all encouraging with that announcement.
Yesterday afternoon we had to go out and the only good, encouraging thing at all was all the gas stations that I usually notice were all the same price as they were the other day except for one, Sheetz, and that was 2 cents lower!
I sure hope the newscast was WRONG. It wouldn't make me a bit mad, not at all!
***************************************
Well, as I look around my office and see the piles of work to be done it only reminds me that it's time that I get my butt back to work..... Soooooooooooo for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..

Sally Hemings, the black slave who is thought to have been Thomas Jefferson's mistress for twenty-five years, was a blood relative of Jefferson's wife. She was Martha Jefferson's half sister. Martha's father, John Wayles, had taken Betty Hemings, Sally's mother, as a concubine after the death of this third wife. Betty bore him six children of whom Sally was one!

It's cloudy here in Central Pennsylvania at the moment, but the temps are still supposed to climb into the mid 50s so I'm not complaining at all... All in all it looks like we're in for a wonderful day here at the Blue Bird Cottage.
*************************************
I finally got the new web site for my customer set up and completed yesterday. Boy that was a job and a half.. Everything just kept going wrong and I spent twice the time it should have taken to do the job... I didn't get any printing jobs started until about 4 in the afternoon.  I printed up until about 7:30 and then quit on that until today as I had another pile of entries to put in the Phase XI of my downline builder for the Tape of the Month MLM company that I also promote ..  I had to put them in the data base and then "do" a custom kit for each one of them and get them ready to mail for today's mail.  Those I finished up about 8:15 and then worked on some other web sites until the conference call of my best and most profitable, business company that I'm involved with, Elements. I had a couple of prospects on the call so the whole thing turned out pretty darn good...  I should have some more business from it.. It IS the best way to learn about the company and products. Just get your prospects on that call and if they have any questions or concerns at all, they can ask the owner of the company, Jeff Charlton. If Jeff doesn't know the answer, no one will! But he is very good in explaining things and we couldn't have a better moderator for the weekly call.

ANNIVERSARY OF HIGH GAS PRICES?
"March 24, 2006
Albany -- The average price around here is $2.43 per gallon of unleaded. It was this week last year when south Georgian's started paying more than $2.00 for a gallon of gas.
That was considered a big price to pay back then, but after highs and lows of prices this past year many say that's pretty cheap.
"Now days if you can find gas for $2.09 or $2.10, you've found yourself a deal," said driver Michael McCalla.
"I'd be satisfied with that right now, $2.00," said Jimmy Payne.
Jimmy Payne isn't exactly pumped when it comes to watching his truck fill up, especially when he remembers gas prices a few years ago.
"$1.57 I think it was, two years ago," remembered Payne.
It's been one year now this week since South Georgians have been paying more than $2.00 for a gallon of gas, and many can't wait to see the price trickle back down.
"I would love for it to go back down to when I first started driving and it was $1.45," said Joanna Neel.
That was just three years ago for Joanna Neel, and after watching prices fluctuate this year...
"I don't think that will ever happen again," said Neel.
Some are so used to paying the price it would just leave them wondering what to do if gas prices went down.
"I don't know. I really don't know what my reaction would be," said Nicole Hughes.
For Nicole Hughes a smaller car has eased some of her gas price pain, but for others if the price goes up again...
"Paying $3, $4, $5 a gallon is just out of our budget. We'll have to resort to riding bicycles,"
said Vincent Raven.
Vincent Raven hopes prices remain at bay so his ride will be on four wheels, not two."

No, I don't think we'll ever see the prices back down below $1.50 a gallon again as the big oil companies are too used to making such huge profits and as there is no one to stop them from doing so, I see no reason for them not to charge as much as they can get away with and that's exactly what they've been doing for the last year, at least!
Yes, around here in Central Pennsylvania it's about the same story... as it's not been really that long ago that the price per gallon was near a buck and a half. Geez... I remember, I thought the prices were a bit high then.... now it's a buck more a gallon...  But does things and opinions EVER change in a short period of time....
**************************************
Did you take notice that it seems like everyone is "sue" crazy now days..  Everyone is suing companies and other people for just about every imaginable reason.
A jury in Los Angeles awarded $28 billion to a woman who has lung cancer and says it's because the Philip Morris tobacco company talked her into smoking with its advertising. No, that wasn't a misprint... Not $28 million but $28 Billion! (A billion is 1,000 million!)
We all hate tobacco companies but smoking, wasn't that even a little bit the woman's own fault?
That's the trouble. Nothing is anyone's own fault anymore. You probably don't remember the name Stella Liebeck, but she was the woman who spilled coffee in her lap in a car and got big bucks when she sued McDonald's because the coffee was too hot.
Every big company gets sued. Kellogg's and Black and Decker got sued by a New Jersey couple who put one of Kellogg's Pop-Tarts in the toaster and then left the house. The Pop-Tart caught fire and did some damage to their kitchen.
Some companies that make different things have practically been sued out of business. Try and buy a diving board for your in-ground swimming pool....  Some companies like ladder manufacturers pay almost as much for insurance as it costs them to make the ladders!
Doctors are actually leaving my home state of Pennsylvania because they have been sued so often.
A man named Caesar Barber sued McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and Wendy's because he weighed 270 pounds and claimed he got fat eating their food. He had a couple of heart attacks and said they never told him their food was bad for him.
If someone is killed when his car turns over going around a curve at ninety miles an hour, his family sues the car manufacturer or the company that made the tires. If he hits a telephone pole, they sue the telephone company!
The wife of a man who was murdered sued the company that made the gun. The tobacco companies, the gun manufacturers and the tire companies may have it coming but the amount of some of these awards don't make sense.
So what's next????  Who will get sued today? And who do you think we'll be paying for all these millions of dollars that are awarded to these idiots???  Yep, you've got that right.... We will all pay with higher prices for the products and services that are offered by these companies and professionals!  Get your wallet out.... I feel like suing someone this week!!! (Like I've said many, many time..... Common Sense is definitely DEAD!)
***************************************
Time is really moving on at a fast clip here today, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!  ( I'll see you right back here tomorrow! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
The most disastrous crash in the first seventy-five years of aviation history occurred when two jumbo jets collided on the ground, in Tenerife, the Canary Islands, on March 27, 1977. One plane accelerating on a runway during takeoff ran into another that was taxiing between holding areas, waiting it's turn to fly. Five hundred seventy-nine people were killed!

It's sunny so far here in Central Pennsylvania in the Susquehanna Valley but we're supposed to be in for a bit of rain here today. However with the temps going back up near 60 degrees again, I've still got to "tag" this another GREAT day!
************************************
I got another ton of stuff done here in my home office yesterday. I finished printing all of the copies of the new print edition of my Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities magazine/newsletter for my mail order business. Betty will be assembling 200 copies of that today while I finish all the printing of the circulars that will be going into it as an insert for our print & mail services, plus a few of my own. Hopefully all of that will get done today and we'll be able to "cart" the mailing to the post office tomorrow for mailing.
That in addition to a bunch of other things that need to be done as well.. I picked up a postcard design job and a printing and mailing for a local business man yesterday and he also wants me to design and set up a web site for him... I'll probably be starting on the post card design this week sometime as soon as I take some pictures of his business and products that he carries... That's more to get done but I can only say one thing... I can't bitch about running out of work around here, at least not for awhile...
That's what happening around here since yesterday morning anyway..  I also have some really sad news to report that I find practically unbelievable....
*************************************
Dauphin has a VERY small with a population of 773 people, (last census year 2000). But apparently that doesn't stop a crime wave! Well, I don't know about a "Crime Wave" but it's hard to believe what's happened over the last few days..
Here's the story reported in the local Harrisburg Patriot Newspaper;
Gunman wears 'Scream' mask to rob store!
A man wearing a Halloween mask robbed a Dauphin convenience store, (the only small store in Dauphin), at gunpoint late Friday night, state police said.
The robbery occurred at Mike & Penny's Market along the 300 block of High Street just before 10 p.m.
The robber wore a "scream" mask similar to the one used in the movie with the same name, but this mask had black hair and a red tongue, police said.
Police said the robber walked into the store and displayed the gun. He ordered the store's clerk, a 34-year-old woman, to give him the store's money bag and the cash from the register and then ordered her to the floor.
The clerk was not injured in the robbery. The robber ran from the store and was last seen traveling north on Claster Boulevard.
The robber is described as being about 5 foot 8 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt with a zipper.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 671-7541!

Do you believe this guy? Talk about seeing too many movies...  I swear I just can't believe people in this day and age robbing anything. Especially with all of the electronic surveillance equipment that the banks and stores have... They really got to be half nuts!
I'm sure anyone with this GREAT amount of brains and lack of common sense will surely be caught before too awful long...
Apparently it doesn't matter where you live these days.... There are people who just can't follow the rules of living with each other....
*************************************
I have a plan to attack today's work.... I'm going to dive into the pile of work on my desks that's nearest to me and go from there...
Oh, those of you who are in my favorite, and most profitable, business company, Elements, I just want to remind you that the weekly conference call is for tonight... Even if you're not in the program, you can join us and get an idea of what a good home business consists of and how it works... The call is at 10 p.m. eastern and 9 p.m. central... Just dial 212-461-5860 and then the access code, 2636#. When Jeff asks to identify yourself at the beginning, just say Chuck invited me... I'll be listening...  At least I'll know that you're there or you don't have to say anything if your too shy...
Right now, I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow morning! Okay?)
**************************************
Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
Talk about a dumb bird!
A newborn turkey chick has to be taught to eat, or it will starve. Breeders spread feed underfoot, hoping the little ones will peck at it and get the idea. Turkeys tend to look up with their months open during rainstorms. Lots of them drown as a result!!!

Monday, March 27, 2006

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania. It's supposed to shoot up to almost 60 degrees so it will be pretty warm out... Not a bad day, not a bad day at all!
*************************************
Monday, the first day of the work week. Are you ready to plow right into work? Yep, I think I am.... It's not really that long since I've been here in the office as I worked late again last night to almost 11 PM..  I have had a lot of WEB work lately and it kind of eats up a lot of time working on it... I received an order last week to set up a web site with a new domain name and up load an advertisement circular for my customer. He also wants me to upload his site to several hundred search engines as well.. I really thought I'd have it done by now but it's taking longer than I thought to get the new site set up by the Internet hosting company. Hopefully, they'll have it done by early afternoon and I can finish this job as my customer is anxious to have his new site "up and running."
It's awfully hard to give a customer an estimate of when their job will be done when you must depend on another company to do "their" job. It just seems like no matter how much time you give them on YOUR estimate, it always takes them longer to get "their end" done. Oh well, such is life.
I also finished writing all the articles and pasting up a new print edition of my Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities magazine/newsletter for my mail order business. Hopefully by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest, Betty and I will have the first batch of bulk mail put together with the new magazine and ready for it to go to the post office..  I've got my fingers crossed at any rate.
**************************************
Not a day goes by, and that includes the weekend, that I don't get a few entries by email and "snail mail" for Phase XI of my downline builder for the Tape of the Month MLM company that I also promote ..  Just when I think I'm "caught up" another 3 or 4 will come in by email... No, I'm not complaining as we are going to have a GREAT Phase this time and we'll have a lot of folks joining the Tape of the Month program from all of our entries for the Phase XI program. I'm REALLY looking forward to mailing out all of the downline reports and joining packages in May! Boy and I ever... If you're thinking of joining the $3 Bucks for Success Phase XI downline builder, now just might be the time to do it as you won't get a better time than with all of these entries that will be going into the main program and you still have plenty of time to do some of your own promoting and build your own personal downline...  You will receive all of the materials to get you going, even 30 or more names and addresses on peel and stick labels! Just print the circular by clicking here, $3 Bucks for Success, fill out the mail in coupon and send to me for your "starter package" today!
**************************************
If you haven't done your Income Taxes as of yet, we still have 21 days left. For the last several years I've been getting mine done at H & R Block.. As soon as you say small business, they don't care if you're small or what, all they hear is "business" and it costs about $240.00 to get the taxes done and takes about 15 to 20 minutes.... Sooooooo..... this year I decided to give 'em a try myself, again as I used to, so I bought the TurboTax Premier edition of Intuit's tax preparing software. Oh well, I keep telling myself that I've got to take some time to get it installed and study it.... I'd hate to pay for this software and "still" have to make a trip to H & R Block! That would really get me upset! I don't mind spending money, but like anyone else, I hate to toss it away on something I can't use.....
I been hoping for years that the government would "wise up" and make a simple flat income tax law...
I guess it would knock too many people out of work. I don't think now that I will see it in my life time...  Hopefully maybe down the road a generation or so they will get lucky... Heck lets face it with a "flat income tax" it would take you about 10 minutes and a cheap calculator to do your yearly taxes! Yep, I guess it WOULD knock too many people out of work!
Oh well, I'll probably STILL be hoping for a flat tax when they "Plant" me!
Of course you know as a Flat Rate Income Tax makes good, common sense, the government will probably continue to ignore the possibly with a vengeance!

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
A highway fifty-five feet wide and six feet thick that's built entirely of grain and stretches around the world at the equator --- that's how much the world's annual consumption of grain comes to: 1.2 billion metric tons!

T.G.I.F.
It's a bit on the cloudy side here this morning at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and will probably remain that way most of the day. It is supposed to go up near 50 degrees so it shouldn't be too bad of a day. Heck, it's always a nice day around here!
**************************************
I read today that crude oil prices are on the rise and that's another "reason" that gasoline prices are going up.. Of course I don't know why they went up last week as the crude oil didn't start to go up until this week.  Oh, yeah they said that Summer is on the way and that will put more demand for crude oil as well..  Whoa, want just a darn minute here...  It was only a month or so ago that they said that gasoline prices were going up because of the demand for heating oil for Winter and cold weather...
Oh, sorry, I see now, they just twist the excuses to whatever time of the year it happens to be! Of course as we all know when Summer comes everyone shuts off their furnaces and oil heaters etc... Don't you think that just that alone would create an overage of crude oil reserves for the large oil companies, heck the small oil companies as well...
Oh, geez.... I forgot that's too much "common sense" for them to absorb right off the bat.... They can't see the "common sense" for the stacks of money in front of them from the huge profits that they been enjoying..... Oh well, we may as well get used to it because unless the lazy ass crew down in Washington do something about it... the oil industry will NEVER bring the costs back down where they belong...  Why would they as they are making money "hand over fist" and no one apparently can do a darn thing about it! Why would they ever bring the prices back down where they belong unless they were "forced" to do so?
I just hope everyone stays home this Summer and no one goes on vacation... All the States will then be up in arms when their tourist industry fall's "flat on it's face." Maybe that will be a kick in the butt for them to do something about this situation!
***************************************
The more I think about the oil industry and the ripple effect that it is having on all of the other businesses I'm afraid this year will be one of the biggest years on record for inflation. Heck lets face it, no matter what is manufactured it must be shipped around the country in trucks to get to it's destination and if the fuel prices, including the diesel costs stay up there sky high, the shippers will have to transfer the cost to their customers and they will in turn have to transfer the extra cost to their consumers and Bingo, more inflation than we've EVER seen! Talk about a "ripple" effect... It will show up everywhere as higher prices for Everything....  Probably a little less effect will be noticed on imported stuff which will stab the good ole' American manufactures again in the side....  How much can they take before THEY move to another country for the cheaper labor so they can ship back to the U.S. and make a decent profit? And so the saga goes.... In the meantime, Congressman Arlen Specter is having committee meetings on what to do about the situation...  hmmmmm.....  Will his meetings do any good or do we need something more radical like ACTION?????
*****************************************
I placed an order on the WEB day before yesterday for my Chinese Friend and manager of the Chinese restaurant that Betty and I frequent, Larry, for a Motorcycle Jacket and Leather Pants. These are gifts for Larry's brother-in-law who lives in China. Larry lives in Brooklyn, New York, but works down the road here in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Larry's friend out where he lives is going to visit China and he's leaving the early part of next week. He agreed to take these garments along with him on the plane to China and deliver them to Larry's brother-in-law over there.
So far it sounded like a good plan. So Larry said to have the order sent to where he works down here in Harrisburg at the Grand Buffet and of course his credit card billing address is in Brooklyn New York... That way the order should have been delivered to where Larry works by Saturday and on Monday evening when he heads back to New York City on the bus he was going to take the package home with him...
Yep that's a plan alright...
So I ordered the goods day before yesterday and yesterday morning I got an email that explained the company has mailed a letter to the billing address by snail mail for the order in Brooklyn and when the letter is received the instructions are to call the company with the order number that's in the letter and then the order will be released to be shipped to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Do you see how a GREAT plan can be crushed with just one medium sized "monkey wrench" tossed into the middle of it? So I called the company and asked if I change the shipping address to the credit card address in New York would they ship the order now... No problem the lady says...  We do that because of Credit Card Fraud...  Don't ask me how that would make any difference as not only did I need the card number but I had to give them the verification number on the back of the card, and the usual expiry date etc...  If it's fraud how would I have all of that information? Well, now I had no time to argue that point...  She said if I changed the shipping address to match the billing address they would ship it within 24 hours...
Now all I had to do was call Larry and tell him how his plan got shot all to heck and what we had to do...  After going over it a couple of times... Larry agreed to have them ship it to Brooklyn.  Now, it's supposed to go out sometime today and it's only coming from North Carolina so I would think it should be in New York my Monday and be there in enough time to catch Larry's buddy before he boards the plane to China! Whew! (The plans of mice and men!)... ... and we wander why we die early from heart attacks!

I received a couple more emails about a half hour ago that I just had 2 more people placed into my downline for my  fairly new program, Dac Leads, the business program that you can join for FREE, get your own FREE web site and back office and take it from there. If later you decide that it's not "your cup of tea" just NEVER upgrade and it won't cost you a cent...
My Emails and my snail mails must be paying off...  As I mention above, you can join this program for FREE by clicking here,Dac Leads, and you'll get your web site immediately.
I use the leads for 3 of my programs.. not just for the company program.. I use them also for my for my main MLM company, and the one I make the most money with, Elements. I don't mail out directly to promote Elements though, I use the leads to promote our promotional new $5 test drive where someone can actually join Elements, get a FREE web site, with a back office to watch their growth in the company, a position in the company matrix, have free people placed into their downline by the company AND me, and even promote the company BEFORE they join the program. They can get this all for 90 days for only $5 bucks!
And the last but not least company I'll be using the Dac Leads for is my Phase XI of my downline builder for the Tape of the Month MLM company that I also promote .. I've been with this one for about 3 years and have a good downline as well with a nice monthly commission check coming... Not as big as my Elements check but not bad for a low $25 a month program...  Yep all these programs are doing well for me and growing on a daily basis... The more they grow, the more money my colleagues that are in them with me make, and of course the more I make as well... I'm always looking for new folks who are looking to earn some money from home...
*******************************************
Well, time is moving as fast as ever and my weekend also begins pretty soon. I do have a lot of "stuff" that needs to be done BEFORE my weekend begins so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Weekend! (I'll see you right back here on Monday morning, Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
According to Herodotus, the Babylonians had few doctors because they left illness to the wisdom of the public. A sick individual was placed in the city square, where passersby who had suffered from the same ailment, or had seen it treated, gave him advice on how to be cured. Pedestrians were forbidden to pass such an individual without inquiring about the complaint and "prescribing" for it if they could!

It's sunny right now here this morning in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to get just a hair warmer to and go all the way up to 49 degrees... Sounds good to me...  I'll be here in the office just about all day anyway so it really doesn't matter, however, I do enjoy looking out on a beautiful sunny day!
***************************************
I've been emailing to 100 leads a day for my fairly new program, Dac Leads, the business program that you can join for FREE, get your own FREE web site and back office and take it from there. if later you decide that it's not "your cup of tea" just NEVER upgrade and it won't cost you a cent... At any rate a few days ago I bought 1,000 leads of what they call Surveyed Leads. That means that each individual on the list was asked 6 questions which would be something like are your interested in having your own home business? How much can you afford to invest? How much time can you spend each day or week working your home business? How much money do you think you'd like to make with your own home business? And so on.....
These leads come with names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.
I first Email each one to check and make sure it's a good address and see if they are interested in my offer. Then if they respond with any questions or inquiries, I take the time to make sure they completely under stand the opportunity. I can do all of this by email but in my initial contact email I do give my phone number..  They VERY RARELY call but it give your email a lot more credibility.
It's fun to send out a block of emails to folks who actually want them and see what you get back from it... It's kind of like fishing... You never really know what's going to bite at the other end of your line...
You never know when that next "star" in your downline will be the one who joins... Now that's what I call fun!  Either way whatever I'm doing WILL increase the size of my downline and that means increasing the size of my monthly commission check.
Would YOU like to check it out and join for FREE? Just click here, Dac Leads and fill out a few questions... Right off the "bat" you'll get a FREE personal WEB site that you can use to promote the program which has a "Back Office" where you can check each day to see how your own downline is growing...  It's fun... give it a try...  It doesn't cost you a cent unless you decide to upgrade to the paid status, (the only way that you can receive a commission check), and then you'll only be doing that if you are 100% satisfied with the program... Or you can just stay in it awhile and maybe do a little promoting of your own and see what kind of downline you can build for yourself...  I'll be helping you too as every one I get now is "overspill" for someone in my downline!
*****************************************
When Betty and I first moved here into the Blue Bird Cottage, oh, about 23 years ago our water from our personal well tasted just fine and dandy but over the years it has really deteriorated as far as taste and smell goes.. I don't really know why as no one else is allowed to build along the river anymore...  But there is a small apartment house up the road from us, that might be some of the cause...
At any rate, every time we get "high water" we wait a week or so and then have our water tested to make sure it is safe. However we do not drink it anymore and have not done so for the last 6 years.. Even though it tests that it's safe to drink it sure doesn't smell like it's safe..  It now has a terrible odor to it.
Now we buy drinking water and what we buy is "distilled" water. That's water that has absolutely nothing in it other the H20. No minerals or anything...  I like it because when you mix concentrated orange juice with it, it tastes GREAT as the only thing you can taste is the orange juice. It's the same when we brew coffee. When you make coffee with distilled water it REALLY tastes GREAT!
Because we buy a lot of it, and it comes in one gallon plastic jugs, every week we have quite a few empty plastic containers to put out for the trash man.
It's a darn shame as it seems like such a waste.. I'm just glad that they at least can be re-cycled. However, every week it just reminds me of how we are a "throw away" society. We are so wasteful it's pitiful. I wish there was another way to buy the water but so far it's the only way we've found to buy it.  We used to have our own distiller and distill our own water but there were some draw backs of doing it yourself. Number one is that it takes so long to distill water the machine was running almost 24 hours a day to keep up with our needs.  As you need heat for the process it did use quite a bit of electricity. After a couple of years the machine just wore out and we went to buying it as we found it was a lot cheaper to buy it than it was to "brew" it ourselves...
That doesn't help the trash problem though... No one seems to care anymore... On trash day when I look up and down the lane and see all of the "stuff" that our neighbors toss it's just unbelievable that a few people have that much to throw away each and every week..
It reminds me of when I had my automobile repair shop and an auto parts store across the street. My warehouse for my auto parts store was a huge building that was built over a hundred years ago. One time an older customer stopped in and it was late in the day and I was mostly waiting on customer's to pick up their finished cars, when he began to tell me about when he was a small boy my auto parts warehouse back then was a huge "General Store" that sold bread, grains, salt, flour and just about anything else that was needed in the area.
He related to me that once a month his mother used to send him to the General Store to pick up her monthly shopping list. Yep, unbelievable but true that they only shopped once a month. To top that off the list was so small that he as a small boy could pull it home in his wagon.
Each month the list was just about the same, sugar, salt, flour, pickles, chocolate, spices, and a few more necessities. That was it.... Everything else his mom made at home from "scratch".....
They threw away next to nothing as anything they didn't eat that was left over, they fed to their small menagerie of animals.
Back then of course there was no trash men as they would "starve" to death waiting on folks to pay them to haul anything away!
The folks back then were so much more efficient and  conservative than we are now. They didn't "Waste" anything. Everything was used and that which wore out was re-used as something else...  Even the flour sacks were made into clothing by his mom with her treadle sewing machine. No wonder they took so much more pride in themselves back then. They had so much more to be proud of...
I know we could never go back to those times when Bob, oh, that was the old man's name, come to think about it, would bring his own containers to pick up salt and spices, pickles and whatever else was needed as everything back then came in bulk. Even peanut butter came in bulk and was sold by the pound on waxed paper!
No, we could never go that far, but I'm sure if we just gave a little try, we could do a whole lot more of conserving than we do now which is just about nothing... Something to think about right?
***********************************
Time is pushing on and I've got tons of "stuff" that must be done today so I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a WONDERFUL Day!!! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
Genius is often linked with misery. Galileo lived in exile, wandered from city to city, and ended up in prison. Descartes also lived in exile, had to serve as a soldier, and died in a foreign land. The French anatomist Andreas Vesalius lived a vagabond's life, was accused of heresy, body-snatching, and dissection, and was on the threshold of execution; he was forced to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, and he died in a shipwreck. Copernicus did not dare to publish his discoveries. Kepler never received the pension promised by the emperor! All considered geniuses and all actually lived in misery!

It's another beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania and it's even supposed to warm up a little more today. That's good as it was really cold yesterday... We can stand a bit more heat here in the east.
***********************************
Wow yesterday was really a good day to get some work done here in my office. I only had a couple of phone calls so it was good to be able to concentrate. I even got some WEB work done...  I'm looking forward to getting more of it done today.... I got so busy yesterday that I didn't even get a chance to get to the post office... That's the first that happened in many, many moons......
***********************************
Is is me or is United Parcel Service getting better and faster? I received another package yesterday and was VERY surprised how fast that it got here. You know it's a shame but the better that UPS is getting the reverse is happening with our post office. The more the post office charges, it seems, the worse they get. Last month it took 17 days for them to deliver a 9 X 12" envelope from Missouri to here in Central Pennsylvania! 2 envelopes were sent to me from the same place at the same time, (the date was on stamped on them.) The one got here in 4 days and the other took 17 days! I have no idea what route the one took that the other apparently didn't but there should be no excuse for that.
It looks like they are getting slower and slower... They care more about their image and do a lot of advertising to try and bring that up than they do trying to make themselves more efficient and faster. But it looks like whomever runs the joint don't realize that service will give them more recognition and more business than anything else EVER will.
I know that there is no where else to get your mail delivered and it's good that there isn't as the post office I'm sure would go under, "over night"!
I've met just one person in our post office that seems to care about her job and if things are done properly. She was there about a half a year and they transferred her. That figures, that's usually my luck.
Everyone else just seems to care how much money they are making and when is it time to go home? Yes, they're concerned all right... Concerned about everything but how they are doing their job..  I guess that I should say our carrier takes his job seriously and does give a hoot...  But that's about it.
A lot of their problem is waste... Waste runs rampant in the post office system.. Just a few years ago some "genius" in the post office decided that they needed an new image that required all of their trucks to be repainted, all of their signs and stationery reprinted, etc.  Did that make the mail go any faster or more efficient? Heck no... it didn't do anything but waste millions of dollars for the post office... It wasn't long after that they decided that another postal increase was needed.. (Hmmmmm.... gee, I wonder why?)
When I say anything to this one particular person at our post office he always retaliates, "Well Chuck, don't forget, we now must survive on our own, we don't have the government to save us anymore..." Yes, that may be, but if that's completely true, then they are running illegal as they are actually a monopoly and will remain a monopoly until someone else is allowed to complete with them to deliver mail...
Some people will always defend the post office by quoting how many pieces of mail they deliver every day and how they deliver all over the United States, and blah, blah, blah.... Well in my opinion I guess they should know what and how they are to do it by now, after all these years....
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is an "independent establishment of the executive branch" of the United States government responsible for providing postal service in the United States; it is generally referred to within the United States as "the post office."
The postal service was created under Benjamin Franklin on July 26, 1775 by decree of the Second Continental Congress. Based on a clause in the United States Constitution empowering Congress "To establish Post Offices and post Roads," it became the Post Office Department in 1792. In 1971, the department was reorganized as a quasi-independent agency of the federal government and acquired its present name.
The USPS is the third-largest employer in the United States (after the United States Department of Defense and Wal-Mart) and operates the largest civilian vehicle fleet in the world, with an estimated 170,000 vehicles, the majority of which are the easily identified "mail trucks." Some mail carriers use personal vehicles. Standard postal service vehicles do not have license plates; instead, a truck is identified by black numbers on its back.
I guess with all of the employees and the GIANT cash flow they enjoy, they SHOULD be able to deliver a lot of mail in a day!
Incidentally, with last increase it wasn't just a few cents on a first class envelope... Priority mail and all of their services went up including a lowly money order. My bulk mail costs rose and even the yearly bulk mail license went up $25 bucks. With price increases like that they REALLY should be glad that they DO have a monopoly! I sure know that if I could save money on postage, (which IS my largest expense), I would do it in a "heart beat!"
***********************************
Betty is really "into" The American Idol TV program as she has been since it first came on the idiot box.  I really didn't pay much attention to it until last year when I took a bit more interest in it and this year I'm getting "into" it as well.. Boy, they sure do have a lot of REAL talent on it this year! It's hard to believe that they found that much at one time this year.. Mostly the people in the contest are good but not THAT good, but this year it's going to be tough to pick a real American Idol from a bunch that most should be the winner!
If you haven't seen it for awhile..... check it out... It was on last night with the entertainment and tonight they'll be tossing someone off.
Take a look and you'll be really surprised and really enjoy it this year... You can check out all of the young people who are still in the contest right here. The American Idol
*************************************
Well it kind of looks like I "ate up" most of my time for this blog today on the post office but it's a good subject and I'm glad that I addressed some of the problems that I have with it... But, alas, as it IS a monopoly, there will be no immediate changes in the system, that's for sure....
Now for me, it's time I get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
Americans spend more time at shopping malls than anywhere outside their homes and jobs. Shoppers can buy anything from diamonds to yogurt there, go to church or college, resister to vote, give blood, bet, work, and meditate. In some malls, one can move into a motel room, apartment, or condominium. The Chicago Symphony can be heard at the Woodfield Mall near Schaumberg, Illinois; the Dallas Symphony was on the verge of expiring before a series of successful concerts at North Park Shopping Center revived it. Approximately $60 billion is tied up in American shopping centers, which do about half ($300 billion in 1977) of all retail business. Women meet prospective lovers in shopping malls far more than they do in singles bars!!!   (There's still hope for a lot of guys who don't like bars! - Chuck)

Actually it's sunny here this morning at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania which surprises me as we were supposed to get an inch or two of snow overnight and didn't get a drop! Or I guess I should say a flake.   So much for  the "Onion Snow" that my mom used to talk about every year... Yep, the last snow of the year and she usually called it "right on the button!" I thought sure this would be just that, the "Onion Snow."
***********************************
Did you ever notice that when you go into a store and have plenty of time, actually time to kill, so you figured you'd just browse around a little and maybe see what the heck is new, like computers etc... and while you're there 50 employees are continually asking you if they can help you..? But, when you go in a store, any store and you don't have ANY time to waste and you are DEFINITELY in a hurry and can't find what the heck you're looking for, no one is there to be found! You're still looking and waiting for someone to help you until you finally actually abandon what it was you were looking for and start looking for someone who works there. You finally find someone who's at the other end of the store and talking to other customers...  You must wait until they are done helping the other people... and ....... the other customers are ALWAYS buying something big that needs a lot of explaining how to operate it etc....  IT JUST NEVER FAILS!
I know in my case this ALWAYS happens... Does this just happen to me? Does it happen to other folks as well or am I the only one the happenstance picks for these trials?
This happened to me yesterday afternoon when I was in a store looking for a piece of software...
It's enough to make you think that the world is picking on you for just getting out of bed, after all you didn't do ANYTHING to deserve this so why is it happening to you? God only knows and he isn't telling!
Well, on the bright side, this kind of "stuff" doesn't happen everyday. (Only because I don't go shopping every day!) Ha!
***************************************
I had a reader write me and wanted to know where I live..  So here it is...  I live right outside of a small town in Central Pennsylvania with the name of Dauphin. The town of Dauphin is VERY small with a population of 773 people, (last census year 2000). Might be a couple of more or less as people die and children are born and let's face it that's 6 years ago.
As you can see by the sign on the left we have a GIANT shopping center on the south side of town and that contains the post office that I mention just about every day in this blog. That's also where Betty goes to do our laundry. Yep, it pretty much has just about everything we need. (NOT!)
At the other end of town, the north side, we have a gas station, pharmacy, doctor's office, and even a Hardees's fast food outlet.
Yep, that's not bad for an entire population of only 773 don't you think?
We're also about 10 minutes from uptown Harrisburg, which I'm sure you know from your high school days as the Capitol of Pennsylvania. Dauphin is also situated right along the mighty Susquehanna River that runs all the way down through Central Pennsylvania and doesn't stop until it empties into the Chesapeake Bay.
The Susquehanna River is the nation's sixteenth largest river and is the largest river lying entirely in the United States that flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The Susquehanna and its hundreds of tributaries drain 27,510 square miles, an area nearly the size of South Carolina, spread over parts of the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
The river meanders 444 miles from its origin at Otsego Lake near Cooperstown, N.Y., until it empties into the Chesapeake Bay at Havre de Grace, Md. The Susquehanna contributes one-half of the freshwater flow to the Bay.
Oh, one more thing, the river runs right through our back yard here at the Blue Bird Cottage and if you've read this blog for any length of time you know that sometimes it ends up surrounding our Cottage!
You can check out one of those times here, Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 16-A and here, Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 16-B.
That should pretty much answer that question.....
*************************************
Don't forget tonight is the conference call for for my main MLM company, and the one I make the most money with, Elements. *************************************
Looks like there is a lot to try, and get done today, and hopefully I'll be able to as I'll be in the office all day and all evening by the looks of it. That's okay as I'll feel much better after I get some of this work rapped up. I sure do have some piles on my desks when I look around my office to tend to so with all that in mind, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow, OKAY?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
Andrew Carnegie, one of the richest Americans ever, practically became allergic to money as he grew richer and older. He was offended, he said, just by the sight and touch of it, and never carried any. Because he had no money with him with which to pay the fare, Carnegie was once put off a London tram!

 Spring has Sprung!
At least according to the calendar but it sure doesn't seem like it by the feel of the weather. It's nice and sunny here in Central Pennsylvania but it's really cold and only supposed to barely reach 40 degrees here today. Also, the weather folks are calling for maybe a snow accumulation tomorrow!
************************************
Well the weather may not be yelling "springtime is here" but it looks like the wild life around us here at the Blue Bird Cottage think spring is in the air... On Saturday morning Betty and I watched a pair of chimney swifts out on our porch looking for a place to build their nest.
The pair of ducks and the pair of deer in today's pictures also think that Spring is here. I took these pictures on Saturday and they kind of looked like they had a thing for each other. That can only mean one thing.... It won't be too long before we see some very small ducklings coming in from the river into our back yard.
The deer picture was taken from the front door of my office. They were across the lane, (the old "tow path" of the Erie canal that's right out in front also), in the small field on the other side of the canal. Looked like they were kind of "hitting" it off pretty good as well....
Yep, the weather may NOT be acting like Spring weather, but it's not fooling the wildlife at all!
It's just about enough to give anyone "Spring Fever.)
I imagine over the next several weeks we'll be seeing a lot more of this kind of activity...  That is one of the GREAT things about Spring...  Life starts to "spring" up all over the place. If you look on the picture directly above on the right side you'll see the green just starting to show up on the branches of the bush and also the one on the left is starting to show some green...  Yep, Spring has DEFINITELY sprung!

Well, Gasoline prices have finally hit the "Nut-so" level here in Pennsylvania and all over the United States as far as that goes...  Around here right now the average cost of a gallon of regular gas is about $2.50 a gallon!
I ran a short search on "why" high gas prices and ran into this great little editorial from the The City Paper Online in Nashville:
"Getting our fill of high gas prices --
March 17, 2006 We are not sure what’s more surprising — that gasoline prices are now roughly 17 percent higher than pre-Hurricane Katrina levels or that Republicans are openly criticizing U.S. oil companies.
But as Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pennsylvania)
filled a Senate hearing room this week with top oil industry executives in an effort to build public support for his plan to strengthen antitrust legislation and curtail mergers, the excuse tank was full and support was running on empty.
Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips chairmen rejected Specter’s claim that oil company mergers or the practice of withholding supply — which would be illegal under Specter’s legislation — creates higher prices, but had trouble explaining why consumers were being hit by soaring energy costs at a time when their companies were netting record profits.
(Exxon Mobil’s was $36.1 billion last year, a record for any U.S. company.) This alone should push lawmakers to act.
And whether or not conflict in the Middle East, a spike in the cost of crude, or hurricane-damaged pipelines are bigger factors, it’s clear the industry’s long-standing Republican support is slipping away. Consumer outrage as election campaigns ramp up has the GOP, which traditionally holds back criticism of the oil industry, joining the slam fest.
It’s about time. We can agree that $3-a-gallon post-Katrina prices were rare, but 11 straight months of more than $2 a gallon is wrong.
In the public eye, energy legislation appears to do little to mitigate soaring costs. But since optimism flows from us more cheaply than gasoline, we’re hoping this time will be different."
You didn't miss that first high-light I did on the article did you? That's a real Gem! (The excuse tank was full and the support was running on empty.)
I've been saying for months that the cost of gasoline should be around $1.65 a gallon but the large oil companies are getting used to those extra profits and I'm afraid it's going to take an act of government to get them down below 2 bucks a gallon where it should be...
I just hope that whatever it's going to take, comes soon!

Saturday and Sunday were good work days here in my office and I need a few more like them.. By the looks of our weather, I just might get them as our weather may turn bad tomorrow with the prediction of perhaps some accumulative snow. I'm getting caught up some but all of a sudden in the last week work and sales are coming in right and left... No, I'm not complaining it's just sometimes I wish I could even it out more... I guess this week will see me burning some mid night oil to keep up with it...
On that note, I think I'll keep today's post a bit short and get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday! (I'll see you right back here tomorrow. Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
The leaves of the mallow weed, as those of many other plants, follow the movement of the sun's light, turning with it as it moves across the sky. More unusual is the mallow weed's reaction at sundown. As soon as the sun sets, all the mallow weed's leaves turn around and face the east, where the sun will rise in the morning!

T.G.I.F.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
And for the last day of this work week yet another beautiful sunny day but alas, another cold one as well...  It's only supposed to get to about the mid 40s by this afternoon...  Well, at least I don't have to worry about the "broken" air conditioner in the Jeep... (Sorry, private joke) well, not really as I wrote about that fiasco a couple of days ago...
************************************
As I get older, I tend to think a lot more, than I used to, about age... I read this piece in a mail order Tabloid called "National HOBBY NEWS." This tabloid is published by a man whose name is Woody Russell. I can't even remember how long he's been publishing this paper but it's been a VERY long time...
Woody loves taking pictures and he takes I'd say about 99% of the pictures featured in his paper.. At his age, 86, he must be in pretty good health as I never read him complaining about any thing... Mostly, he writes about his constant travels all over the place doing stories and photos on hobby stuff and also historical stuff...  It's his passion...
At any rate, I don't know if Woody wrote this or he just found it somewhere as there is nothing at the article that gives credit to anyone in particular...
At any rate it's sure worth the read:
Age is a funny Thing
Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions. How old are you? ..... "I'm four and a half? .... You're never 36 and a half.... you're four and a half going on five!
That's the key. You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number. How old are you? "I'm gonna be 16." You could be 12, but you're gonna be 16.
And then the greatest day of your life happens... you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony... you BECOME 21 .... YES!!!
But then you turn 30.... ooohhh what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk.... He TURNED, we had to throw him out. There's no fun now.
What's wrong?? What changed?? You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, you're pushing 40, you REACH 50... and your dreams are gone...
Then you MAKE IT to 60 ... you didn't think you'd make it!!!
So you BECOME 21, you TURN 30, you're PUSHING 40, you REACH 50, you MAKE IT to 60.... then you build up so much speed you HIT 70!
After that, it's a day by day thing. After that, you HIT Wednesday... you Get into your 80's, you HIT lunch. My grandmother won't even buy green bananas... it's an investment you know, and maybe a bad one.
And it doesn't end there... into the 90's you start going backwards... I was JUST 92...
Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again.... "I'm 100 and a half!!!!!

The National HOBBY NEWS is published 4 times a year, and you can subscribe to it by ordering any amount from 1 issue on up...  Want to read something VERY interesting written and published by a REAL person, Order your issue or issues at $1.00 each from, RUSSELL ADVERTISING PO BOX 612, NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH 44663-0612
Also, if you have a product, program or MLM, to promote through direct mail, it's a reasonable paper to advertise in as well... Ad rates are in each issue...
***********************************
If you've read this blog more than once or twice you know I'm always ranting about the outrageously high cost of gasoline... I found a pretty good article titled: WHY HIGH GAS PRICES.... Take a look here for this very interesting review of one man's opinion. WHY HIGH GAS PRICES?
Incidentally, they're still going up... (Gas prices that is.) On a drive yesterday some stations had gone up 11¢ more than the day before!!!  Looks like we're on another roller coaster ride...  And why? Did you hear any excuses that I missed other than the lame one that Summer weather is approaching and people will be going on vacation trips? Duh..... Don't people do that every year? If so why was the fuel 50¢ a gallon cheaper last year at this time?
Just another excuse so that companies like Exxon can release their profit reports for the first quarter of this year showing more billions of dollars in extra profit from their price gouging activities... When are those worthless bodies in Washington called the Senate and House of Representatives going to do something about it? Now that I would like to know...
Oh that's right, the last I heard, they're going to form a committee to investigate the problem and possibility of "price gouging. Duh, what does it take for them? A ball peen hammer up the side of their head?... As usual 'til they get around to doing ANYTHING, the public will be in Credit Card debt up to their ears just buying gas to get to work and back!!! Same old, same old...  The fastest I ever see that bunch in Washington move is when their terms run out and they're pushing to get reelected so they can sit back on their butts for the next term of "service".... Yeah "service".... what a JOKE!

I kind of hope we're in for some bad weather over the weekend, (but I really don't think so), am I nuts? Well, not really as I need some more office time to start catching up with various projects including another mailing for my main MLM company, and the one I make the most money with, Elements. I'll be mailing out circular information about our new $5 test drive where someone can actually join Elements, get a FREE web site, with a back office to watch their growth in the company, a position in the company matrix, have free people placed into their downline by the company AND me, and even promote the company BEFORE they join the program. They can get this all for 90 days for only $5 bucks!
I also want to take some time to promote another program that is really making me some fast cash flow, Dac Leads, join for FREE, get your own FREE web site and back office and take it from there. if later you decide that it's not "your cup of tea" just NEVER upgrade and it won't cost you a cent...
**************************************
Well, my weekend and yours, is only a few hours away which tells me that I'd better get back to work here in my office, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend! (I'll see you right back here on Monday! Okay?)

Here's The Cool, Unusual Fact For Today..
To protect woolens from months, people for generations have stored them in cedar chests or have built closets lined with cedar. There is no evidence that a cedar chest or closet repels moths!

It's another beautiful but very cold sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania and the weather folks are calling for a nice, fair day. It's only supposed to go up into the low 40s this afternoon..
It's a great day to stay in my home office and get lots of work done..
************************************
I've got plenty of article writing to get done for the printed edition of my magazine/newsletter Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities as well as orders and inquires that I'm still opening up from yesterday's mail as I had a real good mail day yesterday. I'll get right back on that job as soon as I post this blog today. I really won't know where I stand until I finish the mail but I do know it's going to be another hectic day here in my home office..
I did my monthly charges for the folks that are in my Once A Month Association that have their credit cards on file for auto charge yesterday, so I'll be sending out their receipts and advertising coupons as well... Hopefully that will be one of the first jobs and then I can mark that off my list...
If you're into the mail order and or MLM business and work out of your home the Once A Month Association is a great organization to belong to as you'll get ongoing advertising discounts of all kinds as well as other discounts that are only available to OAMA members...  Typesetting, books, supplies are just a few of the others listed in our monthly Member Benefit Directory...  You'll also be able to make money with the organization as you get paid 66% commission, every month on anyone that you recommend to the association. OAMA is not an MLM organization but pays an ongoing monthly commission on monthly dues paid by members... The monthly membership dues are only $15 and out of that $15 - $10 are paid out in commission to the sponsor of that member... Example, you refer 5 people to OAMA who stay active and you receive a $50 a month commission check! That's only for 5 people...  Play with the figures... Only 10 folks and you get $100 commission! Just 2 referrals place you in profit! I've been in MLM's where I have to put in 50 people to make $100 a month in commission.... Plus, you'll receive coupons each month for FREE advertising... There's a lot more benefits that are too numerous to list here...  Check out the promotional circular by clicking here, OAMA Promotional Circular and Application, and that will explain all of the facts and just how it works.... Check it all out if you have time...
*************************************
I received another "Fast Start Bonus" check from my best and most profitable, business company, Elements. This program IS one of the best on the market.... Every time someone joins the main company as a paid member we get a 42% Fast Start Commission Bonus! You can beat it with a stick!
**************************************
I messed up last week and said the gasoline prices were tapering off... Well, that was a "Jim Dandy" mistake as they are continually climbing again this week and are around $2.35 at most gas stations in our area... (Up 12¢ from just a few days ago!) I did buy gas yesterday at "Sam's Club" for $2.24 a little bit of a savings...  What a rip off... that's all I can say.... as I'm just too darn angry for any other comments right now!
**************************************
It's about time to plant tomato seeds again and I'm out of my favorite seeds! I like the "Tree Tomatoes or better known as "Container Tomatoes" as they are the best tasting and producing tomatoes that I've EVER seen.. I don't grown them in containers though... I just plant the seeds and then transfer them to my garden... The tomatoes don't really get that big, maybe about the size of Italian tomatoes only they are round. But each plant produces well over 100 tomatoes and I swear that I've had some produce over 200 tomatoes.... and are they EVER tasty!
If you know where to get any seeds I'd really appreciate it if you could Email me and let me know... I don't mind ordering them by mail order if necessary...
I did find some on the web, (I didn't spend a whole lot of time hunting as of yet), but the ones I found are only sold wholesale and you have to buy about 200 to 1,000 packets of seeds....  I like 'em but I can't handle that many seeds... The last package lasted me for 3 years... I only plant about 12 to 14 plants a year.... Heck at 100 tomatoes per plant, I don't have to plant any more of them plus my back yard isn't THAT big!
Let me know if you find any, PLEASE!

I swear that a lot of people having their own children these days don't know what to do with them when they
