It's a bit on the cloudy side here in Central Pennsylvania this morning.  The river has crested and is now on it's way down...  Thank goodness..  I'm not going to rest easy as of yet because the weather man is calling for more rain!
The river crested yesterday afternoon at about 18 feet, 1 foot above flood level and now is only down to about 14 and a half feet and it's supposed to start raining this afternoon and all day tomorrow.... off and on tomorrow night and into and including Saturday... I guess it all depends how much we really get as to the condition of the river after all this rain... I'm hoping that it continues to go down for awhile before coming back up! We'll see...
Lot's of trees, garbage and other junk has been "barreling" by on the river the last couple of days. I did get out in the yard yesterday afternoon and evening and got all the limbs, and a lot of junk from the flood back in September picked up and cleared away. Thank goodness the garbage man comes tomorrow morning. After awhile Betty even came out and helped gather up all the stuff.
We have been having a lot of river problems here, the last several months and I guess you would wonder why we live here. Well, most of the time it's a wonderful place to live and relax. We have our swimming and boating right in the back yard and oops, I almost forgot fishing... We also have a back deck that we can barbeque and eat on and just watch and enjoy the river and all the activity on it.
Usually we go several years in between floods.... This last 12 months have been really unusual....  Last summer we hardly went for 2 full days without rain...  It was the first year that I can remember that I had to mow the yard all summer long. Usually around July it slacks off and then the yard mowing practically stops.... Maybe one time before Fall sets in... But last year it was all Summer long. The soil has been waterlogged almost constantly for a long time... We need a good drying out time.. No, I'm not hoping for a drought but by golly something very close to that.
Today is the last day of the month and I always have a ton of stuff to get done before the new month begins...  The one that takes the most time, however, is
our "end of the month" Once A Month Association stuff like the newsletter, Member Benefit Directory, statements, and checks etc. Everything must be done no later than today so it's going to be a very busy day, here at my home office.
With all of that in mind, plus some "stuff" left over from yesterday that needs to get done before my trip to the post office.... for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

We're in for a beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania..... HOWEVER..... the weather bureau was a bit off yesterday with their prediction of the mighty Susquehanna River that flows through our back yard, cresting at less than 17 feet, (17 feet is flood stage), this afternoon. Now the forecast is a crest of 18 feet or more this afternoon.
Right now the river is at 17 feet! We're still safe here at our cottage, but some folks along the river this morning are waking up to flooded yards and basements.
As you can see by the picture on the left our entire back yard is now under water! Out on the river that dark thing is a huge tree floating by at a very fast clip. the small bush at the right of the picture is normally down at the very end of our back yard.
I'm really looking forward to a high water crest this afternoon.
The bad news is by Friday we are supposed to get more heavy rains...  I'm hoping after the crest this afternoon that the river subsides very quickly. I've never seen it go down fast after high water.... but I'm hoping it does as I don't think we can stand much more water in the mid-state or up-state....  We'll just have to wait and see and I'll keep you posted......  We want to make sure we're around for next week to do our posting here. We certainly don't want to be swept down the river!
That's the big news that's happening around our house..
The big news around my home office today is of course my new Pre-Launch for Elements program. It is REALLY growing daily.... I'm VERY pleased with the reaction and acceptance of the program. It's GREAT! Now, after I have the program going, I can see that I could really improve on the circulars I've designed for it.  I should have made room somewhere for a phone number and an Email address, (if available). Oh well I guess you can always look back in retrospect and see a lot of things that could have been done a bit different for any project. Also, on the order sheet for supplies, I could have added one more item..  If you are in the program and would like your custom circular with your name and ID number on it, posted up on the web, with a unique address that you can send traffic to, I can create it, upload and maintain it for the entire time the promotion is under way for only $5.00. That should be on the promotional materials order form.. I may add that and upload a copy of the order form to the WEB and give an address for that for folks who may need a new copy of the form after they order something...  I probably, at the moment, will add a small 3" X 8" flier in the custom packages I mail out offering that service as well..  As far as changing the order form immediately and sending them out, unfortunately I've already printed 500 of them so I should use up those first... At the rate the sign-ups are coming in, hopefully it won't take that long....
Of course the advantage of having your custom circular up on the WEB are several, the main one being that you can refer folks to it through your Email....  (Much cheaper than mailing)... and also you can advertise it in small, cheap, classifieds and refer folks right to your WEB page for full details!  Lot's of advantages... I sign up folks each day with my own circular on the WEB, here: Pre-Launch
Well, I'll be outdoors some this afternoon trying clean up the yard some, anyway.....  In the meantime I'd better get some work done, here in my office..... so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

It's a cloudy morning here in Central Pennsylvania and the rain is supposed to be over. However the mighty Susquehanna River, that flows through our back yard, is on the rise and is supposed to get near flood stage of 17 feet before it crests tomorrow.. That could change however, as all they can do at the moment is estimate.....  and an estimate is just that..... It's sure not "set in stone."
Of course Betty and I have our fingers crossed! We don't want another repeat of last September, that's for sure...  (Pictures click here, and here!)
It's supposed to warm up some today but won't be much good for me, as most of the yard I wanted to do "spring cleanup" on is now under water!
I just checked the weather bureau and River forecast from Penn State University and they are now predicting for the river to crest tomorrow at about 16.6 feet. That's about 4 tenths of a foot below flood stage. That's cutting pretty close for a lot of folks in Harrisburg, but for us here, we're okay up to about 18 feet..  so we should be fine....  Our entire back yard will be covered with water, but it shouldn't reach our cottage.....  Thank goodness... That's of course assuming that the weather bureau is not off by too much on their estimate.
I can't believe how fast my new Pre-Launch for Elements program is growing. I knew it would take off but it's going faster than I expected and I think it's all due to my "Main Man" Ralph Fulton down in Georgia. Ralph has a pretty good data base of folks who follow him in to various programs and Ralph took hold of this program and is really responsible for it's immediate growth... Thanks Ralph, and keep up the GREAT work!!!
I have some other folks, besides Ralph and myself that will be putting tons of folks into the program as well and they are just getting started.... I know we're in for a GREAT month!!!
You can still be at the beginning of this thing if you go here, Pre-Launch and print it, fill it out, and mail it back to me with proper remittance. I'll get you into the data base immediately and get your custom, camera/ready promotional kit out to you within 24 hours.... and you'll be well on your way to a great monthly income at the end of this Summer..... Do it while you're thinking about it....
Well, as I look around at the piles of work on my desks it reminds me that it's time for me to get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

The beginning of a brand new week!
It's raining "cats & dogs" here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania! The mighty Susquehanna River, that runs through our back yard, was a little over 4 feet high yesterday and by tomorrow it's supposed to go to 11 feet just to give you an idea of just how much water we're getting dumped on us here.
Flash food warnings are already up for small streams over most of Pennsylvania..  Looks like it's all coming from our Southern neighbors! They could have sent this storm out into the Atlantic... It would not have made me angry... At any rate looks like we're in for a lot of wet weather for the next few days.... "The good news".... "It can't last forever!" At least I don't think it can....
It didn't start raining around here until yesterday afternoon so Easter Morning was cloudy but pretty nice. Betty's two sons of course stopped in with their annual Easter flowers for Mom and a short visit.  As each had a lot to do themselves they didn't visit for too long but it was sure nice to see them and Betty was "Happy as a clam."
You know, there's another adage, "Happy as a clam." I just wander who the heck came up with that one and WHY? Is a clam really happy, all the time? How the heck would you know if they were. Living your entire life in a shell don't sound like happiness to me....
I would love to find a good site on the Internet that tell us where these old sayings originated, when, and how.  Now that would be very interesting to me. If you know if such a site, please email the URL... My email address is at the end of this post.....
Looks like the laser toner cartridge on my laser printer is just about out. The last thing I printed had some light spots..  I took it out and shook it and re-installed it. That should give me at least 10 to 20 more good prints..  I like to squeeze the last drop of toner out of it. I'll have to check and see if I have a spare and if not it's a trip to to the new toner re-fill place in Harrisburg..  I'm going to give them a try..  They are a couple bucks more than a regular new refill but they claim they can fill it with extra toner and make it an X model to produce many more copies for about the same price as a regular refill would run me at Sam's Club...  I'm going to try them and see....  At least, that's the plan.....
At the price of gasoline I couldn't make a trip down there just to get my toner cartridge re-filled. I'd have to combine it with other chores to make it worth while.
Wouldn't it be great if we could all stop buying fuel for a week or so... I think we could darn near bring the oil industry to it's knees and show them that we won't put up with them doubling prices in just a year...  I know, that will never happen..  I know some folks that can't afford it but don't slack down at all on their traveling...  They said they need it and even if they have to put it on their credit cards they are still buying it....  So much for the "not buying" for awhile idea.....
It should be a wonderful mail day here at my home business office as I'm getting more and more custom promotional kits out for our new Pre-Launch for Elements program and that means that more and more are being mailed....
I'm really looking forward to a great week...  I sure hope your week gets off to a great start as well..
Well, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

T.G.I.F.
It's cloudy here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and it looks like we're in for rain today... (What's new?) I think Mother Nature got March mixed up with April this year for the rains...
Every thing is pretty much back to normal here on our back deck as Hither & Dither and their new friend, (the squirrels that frequent our back deck), are back this morning eating their daily meal on the deck. I guess the neighbor's dog being up on our deck yesterday scared the "be Jesus" out of them! At any rate I guess they feel pretty safe again.
Some people are really weird:
It's hard to believe how some folks think. I received a poorly hand written letter from a fellow in Indiana yesterday. He started by telling my how much his social security check was and how much his mother's was as well. Then he started to list all of the bills they owed... After telling me how poorly they existed, he said he was thinking about going into a home business! He said that if I financed him, after he started to make good money, he would pay me back....  Well, that was nice of him...
First of all I don't think he's "businessman material", as I have no colleagues that would beg me for anything no matter how bad they were doing. Also, he must have gotten me mixed up with the "First National Bank of Dauphin" as I don't have money to loan out and if I did, I'd have it invested or invest it in a business project to make more money...
Oh, I almost forgot.... He said if I didn't help help he and his mother may die or at the very least his mother would...  I guess another words, he wants me to be responsible for that if I refuse or ignore his wishes.....  It's like I tell Betty all the time..... "There's a bunch of weirdoes out there, that's for sure!"
What am I going to do with this letter... Well, to be honest with you, the handwriting is so poor that I cannot read the return address. So, obviously it goes in the "round file" as I couldn't do anything with it if I wanted to.
However, having explained that, I don't think I would even bother writing back anyway. What would I say?
"What do I look like, a bank?" -- "Thanks for letting me know your personal financial history but I'm not a bank." -- "Wake up and die right..... you need a part time job to start you own home business!" -- "There are always ways to earn money and get extra jobs, etc."
"Don't even think about going into any business, at home or otherwise, without some kind of 'seed money' as you are destined for failure."
I really don't think any of the above would have helped anyway as it sounds like he only has one thing on his mind.... He must go into a home business to make big money. Never mind that he knows absolutely nothing about it, has no intention of studying just what he'll need as far as money, knowledge or advertising costs to make it succeed, and could care less. Nope, with his attitude he needs more than my help...  He needs to completely "re-think" his situation and take steps to rectify it and "going into business" is NOT one of them.
I wonder if he thinks that the local franchise owner of McDonalds just went to the bank and said, "I want to me a McDonalds fast food owner and make big bucks. If you give me the $500,000 to set it up, I'll pay you back if and when I make money with it". Yeah sure he did, and Pigs do fly you know!
Applications are starting to come in as a steady flow now for our new Pre-Launch for Elements program and I must keep up with my promise to get all the custom promotional packages back into the mail within twenty-four hours.
It's a hard order to fill, but I feel that promptness in filling orders as one of our biggest assets to make sure this program succeeds to it's fullest.  That's my job and I intend to fulfill it to the best of my ability and with that in mind..... It's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!!!  (Take it easy and rest up!)

We're on the cloudy side here in Central Pennsylvania, but thank goodness they are not calling for any more rain, today at least. It's supposed to go into the mid 40s so it looks like we're in for a GREAT day here at the Blue Bird Cottage....
I really feel old this morning. On one of my news "pop ups" that arrive on my computers when they boot up this morning, it had a reminder that today is the anniversary of when Elvis Presley was drafted into the Army way back in 1958. Now, way back then I was only 14 but I remember that day...  All the girls at school were going crazy as they were afraid that Elvis was going to get hurt in the Army.
They weren't aware that when you're rich and famous like Elvis they don't usually put you in "the line of fire." The Army more or less just used Elvis to get other young American boys to sign up into the the Army and they released him in 1960. They have Elvis listed as dying with a "heart attack" in 1977 but we all know it was from drug overdoses.. Yes, I know that I made "overdose" plural...  They poor guy was on a LOT of drugs which I'm sure many had a part in his demise. What a waste.
I fed our 2 squirrels, Hither & Dither, that frequent our back deck this morning. I looked out right after "I called them" and there were 3 squirrels..  The new one is a good bit smaller than the other two and really has a hard time sneaking in to get some of the food. They are REALLY funny to watch. After I came in to my office to begin the day Betty called and told me to look on the back porch. The neighbors huge dog was out there smelling around all over the place and of course, no squirrels..  They've had the dog for over a year with no problem but I took notice the dad was not home and the son had left the dog out and did not take the time to watch him. I tried to get the dog to go home, but to no avail so I called over and told the "kid" to call his dog home, which worked....  Now, here it is a half an hour later and still no squirrels...  The dog must have scared the heck out of them...  I'll have to start "taming" them again from square one!
Well, as of this minute up to yesterday all the entries for our new Pre-Launch for Elements program are up to date and in the mail! Thank goodness. The program is all set up and as soon as I get the data base working properly all will be fine.
I wish all of my work would be "up to date" as well, but unfortunately, that is not the case..  As I look at all the piles of work on my desks, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

What's new? It's raining here, again, in central Pennsylvania! It's supposed to chill off enough by tonight for snow... No, not that much, but snow at any rate....
It was beautiful all day yesterday but I didn't get any time to go out doors to work or anything else. I did get out long enough to take Betty to the laundry and to visit the post office. Other than that I was in the office all day working on the new materials and entries for our new Pre-Launch for Elements. Lot's of new entries will go out in this morning's mail. I did get a bit of a plug from the president and owner of Elements last night on the company's conference call and had a few inquiries this morning in my Email box..  This Pre-launch is taking off and I just announced it this week. Mostly by word-of-mouth but that's just fine with me. I'll be sending out lots of advertisements today for placement in mail order ad-sheets and tabloids. Most of them won't be hitting the streets for a few weeks so I'll be starting my mailing campaign tomorrow...  First Class at first and then I'll be assembling some bulk mailings as well. As I'm running the pre-launch for a full 4 months I expect that we will get quite a few people in the main program, Elements. Those of course that get in the Pre-Launch early WILL get a lot of spill over into their downlines. All they'll have to get is get a few personal sign-ups themselves and they could be earning a nice check from the "get-go". Getting a few personals in should be not problem with the Pre-Launch program.....  Yes, it's going to be quite a summer and I'm really looking forward to it. Lot's of folks are going to start this FALL with nice, monthly, commission checks. AS you can tell, I'm REALLY excited, and the few folks that have joined the Pre-Launch are excited as well.... Lot's to do!
Looks like our two squirrels, Hither & Dither, who frequent our back deck, are holed up today as I haven't seen them. I've got to get some food out to them and try to keep it out of the rain and dry...  Of course the birds are really hiding. I wonder where they all go when it rains or snows? Some place, there's a bunch of birds holed up waiting on it to stop raining!
I should have known it was going to rain all day today as I washed the Jeep again yesterday......  It never fails...  I can even break up a dry spell with a car wash.. Amazing!
Well, I have tons of "stuff" to get done before I head to the post office today so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!

It's a beautiful sunny day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Finally! Yesterday it was supposed to clear up some and I think it did last evening around 5:30 as I did see the sun for about 5 minutes and that was about it. It's supposed to stay nice all day today and reach a temperature of around 50 degrees! Now that's good news! It is however supposed to rain all day tomorrow, again, but we'll worry about that when tomorrow comes.
Betty and I did get out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. I didn't know it yesterday morning but we had to do some grocery shopping. We stopped on the way home at the library and rented a couple of more movies. That will probably soon come to a halt though as it gets warmer and the days become longer, we will be spending most of our FREE time outdoors doing yard work and repairs to the cottage. Although our back deck is only a few years old, the porch that some of it, (the deck), surrounds is pretty old and I haven't put a floor on it for about 20 years.. Well, apparently the porch will need a new floor this year. That's going to be one of my major projects. It will probably take a while to complete as I can only work on physical projects for a couple of hours a day  because of my health, but get done it will..... I've been keeping up with the yard work and mowing etc., the last few years, but I haven't done much in the way of any major repairs to the house in that time..  I'm kind of looking forward to it....
Our lane, out to the highway, is about a half of a mile long and this Winter has sure been hard on it..  It's developing a lot of pot holes and has finally slowed some of the traffic down back our way. There isn't much traffic on our lane to begin with but I think most of the wear comes from the huge garbage trucks and UPS trucks etc....  They always seem to be in a hurry and even from house to house speed up and then slam on the brakes..  It's not good for our lane, at all. Actually there are 4 cottages on our lane, 4 pretty big houses and 1 small apartment house that has maybe 6 families living there. So as you can see we don't really have that much traffic back our way but apparently enough to have our lane needing almost constant repairs. Fortunately we have a contractor living above us that also owns the apartment building and he does a lot of work to the road when he gets the time and we also have a landscaper, who has his place of business, below us and he works on the lane as well...  They probably won't do anything though until the freezes are completely done for the year.  We'll just have to put up with it....
Things are going crazy around here at my home office as the applications are starting to "pour" in for the new Pre-Launch for Elements. I knew it would take off but I was prepared for this! I'm going to be burning some mid-night oil for awhile until I get this thing running smoothly.
Keeping that in mind and glancing at the piles of work on my desks I think it's time for me to get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's cloudy here in Central Pennsylvania this morning but it's supposed to go into the 40s and the sun is supposed to peek through from time to time...  A lot better than yesterday was!!!
We spent most of Friday and Saturday afternoons cleaning up the Jeep inside and out, and checking everything over and getting it ready for the trip up state on Sunday... I guess I could have skipped the wash job......
After yesterday, Sunday, everything is running late around here this morning. We we up to the funeral, I mentioned about in Friday's post. It was all the way up the mid-state to right along the New York State boarder. What a miserable drive it was. I rained all day and literally poured from time to time. Other times it just drizzled but it was always raining... Just a plain miserable day...  The funeral was of course about the saddest one we had ever attended as the child was only 6 years old. We didn't get back home until 8:45 last night and were literally exhausted. I think last night was one of the VERY few times that I didn't turn on my computers...  We got cleaned up, ate something and went to the living room to watch some TV and immediately fell asleep on our recliner chairs! So much for yesterday. I sure hope the mother and father of the child gets some rest today as they have been thorough a harrowing weekend.....
I'm still working setting up databases, writing ads, and getting our personal - sign up packages ready for our brand new Pre-Launch for Elements and the packages should begin to go out this evening! I would have finished yesterday but as I explained I could not get to them...  Lives can change in a "blink of an eye" and all plans can be shot to smithereens.
Nothing is guaranteed in life.... I guess that's what makes it so interesting as all changes are NOT bad.... many are good as well... The trick is to learn to enjoy the good parts and "weather" the bad ones....  and for goodness sakes...  stay optimistic!!!!
Well, as usual my office looks like a hurricane hit it with stacks of work all over the desks and notes pasted on my monitors and everywhere else.... Whew! So for me, I'd better get back to work here on this Monday morning and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

T.G.I.F.
And yet another beautiful, sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania to end out week with. Sunday is the first day of Spring, Hot Dog!
I've been going on walks just about every day this week and although it's quite chilly, it still feels good to get out to the house and office and get some fresh air. Nothing picks you up like a brisk walk on a chilly day. They actually have a site on the WEB devoted entirely to walking called, you guessed it, "The Walking Site." There's some great stuff there but personally I just enjoy walking. Of course I also walk for my heart disease, diabetes, and for my general health, or should I say, "What's left of it!"
It's the only exercise program that I can really participate in anymore mostly because of my heart. I'm convinced that exercise IS the secret to good health. What's that old adage, "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself."  Boy, is that EVER true....  No matter what age you are, you should have an exercise program. Even if it's like mine, just walking.... That's enough to keep you a step ahead of disease, etc. Take it seriously. I always used to say, "I get enough exercise just doing my job." Most of the time I had physical jobs so I really thought that was true....   It wasn't. There is different kinds of exercise that are beneficial for different parts of your body...  Walking is a GREAT exercise for your heart and a lot of other things.  I figure no matter what else happens to you, you'll need a good heart to see yourself through it. Believe me, I'm talking from experience.... so if nothing else develop a program for your heart, even if it's just a walking program each day and make it as important as eating and sleeping...  Believe me, you'll thank yourself in the future.
I hope you're about ready for your weekend as it's a madhouse around here... We must go to a funeral, probably over this weekend.. Not that all funerals are not sad but this one will be the just about the saddest for us both. Betty's great grandson, (6 years) old, got off his school bus, at school, on Wednesday morning, and for some odd reason the bus driver dropped the kids off on the far side of the street in front of the school. Nicky was one of the last to get off and when crossing the street in front of the bus to get to school, the bus driver started her bus and ran over him....  He lived for a couple of hours while emergency personal frantically worked to save him, but to no avail. Little Nicholas will be laid to rest this weekend near his home in the upper part of Pennsylvania...  So Betty and I will be making a very sad trip over our weekend........
Well the brand new Pre-Launch is already producing members and I'm not quite done with the custom package that goes out with the application orders. I must finish that today.....  Don't be afraid to join as the completion of the packets are only hours away, and as with most of these types of programs, the sooner you join the better to you advantage it will be..... All will go out immediately as soon as the package is put together...
As I look at the piles of work on my desks it doesn't look like they will disappear by just me watching them so I guess for me, its' back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!  Oh, if you get a chance, check today's joke sheet.... some real good ones in there today!!!

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!!!!
I'm sure you're aware that St. Patrick banished all the snakes from Ireland. He was famous for other things as well. You can learn a lot more about St. Patrick here: St. Patrick and here: St. Patrick's Day
I just wish that he was still around these days.... maybe he could banish all the snakes from Iraq! Now, that would be an accomplishment, wouldn't it?
If you'd like some FREE computer wall paper and other things click here: St. Pat's Stuff
It's another beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to get even warmer with temps rising to almost 50 degrees! Spring is almost here!!! Hot Dog! Do you feel the Spring Fever yet?  If not, it won't be long!
I remember growing up on the dairy farm Spring time was not rated that high on my "happy list." I know you'd think that it would be, but you've got to remember that each day, twice a day, I milked lots and lots of cows.. After an entire Winter of the cows eating dried hay, we'd turn them out into the green pastures that was sprouting all kinds of new grasses.... Now the switch from dry hay to succulent green fodder would really upset their digestive systems and what do you think would happen? Yep, you're right, and that condition would cause a lot of messes.... On the cow, the cow's behind, rear legs, udders, and ME! Yep, we had to wash them before each milking and it was a mess, believe me. This usually lasted up to two weeks.... After that it went back to normal and the job took on a bit better "tone".... oh well.... ODOR on.... I'd say.... I know, like you really needed that story on a nice Thursday morning....
Talk about the old days and the farm.... I remember what it was like to be discriminated against. Yep, me, discriminated against, go figure.....  It was easy and only lasted, thank goodness, for one day. I had overslept one morning... Yeah, even back then it happened....  I was running around like I was "nicked in the head" trying to get the cows fed, milked, cleaned and bedded down and get ready for school. Remember, I had a mile long lane to walk to get on the school bus and if I missed that, I had to walk to school which was about 12 miles away...... so you can bet your "bippies" that I didn't want to miss that bus. Well, I DID make the bus in time..... However I wasn't on it for 3 minutes until I noticed that everyone was moving away from me...  Yep, you guessed it, I completely forgot to take off my "barn boots" and put on my school shoes as when I got my school clothes on, I remembered that I had forgotten to do something in the barn and I slipped my boots back on..  When I was done in the barn, I grabbed my books and took off to catch the bus......  Wow, what a day! In most of my classes my teachers let me take off my boots and let them in the hall and I was allowed to sit in class with just my socks on.....  Guess that was better than everyone having to put up with those barn boots!!!
Two "dirty" stories in one morning! How do I do it??????  I guess it's just one of the days...... Thank goodness they don't show up too often, right?
Yesterday was a pretty good mail day here, at my home office and I still have not had a chance to sort through the entire pile and get the inquires and orders done, so for me, with that in mind, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!!
PS.... OH! I almost forgot for those of you who want to join the brand new Pre-launch click here, or here, print the circular, fill it out and mail it back to me with proper payment and I'll get you into the database as quickly as possible...  Remember in this type of situation, the sooner you get in the better, and the sooner you get in the bigger your downline!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania! We're supposed to have temps in the high 40s today. Looks like Spring IS on the way!
You know, talking about Spring reminds me of the old days here in Pennsylvania when we used to have "Spring Houses."
Spring houses were small, enclosed one room buildings used before the days of refrigeration to keep food cool. Under the best of circumstances it was built over a spring where the water was coldest as it bubbled up to the surface. Otherwise a small stream was diverted from a nearby creek which ran through the building. The cool water running though the spring house kept the interior of the enclosed building cool. Some of the small building were really elaborate but - a little four walled building built out of wood would do just fine. I know such places were prevalent here in Pennsylvania but I don't know about other states.....
We had one when we fist moved to our dairy farm but we never used it. I really wasn't happy when dad decided it should be torn down as it was a pretty cool place to go to cool off in the heat of Summer......
It sure is a lot more "handier" now days when I can just go to the "fridge" and get the milk or butter... Of course everything is a lot more "handier" now days.
I got up a bit early today, well, early for me about 7 AM....  I put on the coffee fed the tropical fish, "witch by the way lately have been multiplying at an increasing fast rate", and then went out on the back deck and put out a tray of food for the squirrels and birds. They, the squirrels, must sit out there, (out of sight), and wait for me to "serve" breakfast as no sooner than I came in and walked out to the kitchen, I looked out the window and a squirrel was already sitting in the tray! Of course with the two squirrels around, Hither & Dither, the birds will just have to wait their turn.
You never know what's coming when you have a home operated business, especially the business I'm in....  Up to yesterday I didn't receive a Names orders for almost a week and a half and yesterday I got three of them in the mail! Now this morning I'm scrambling to get them printed and ready to mail..... You never know how many orders you'll get from day to day or how much money you'll make as well, but I guess that's what makes my whole business exciting to me....
Talk about names, I have over 100 I need to get "keyed" into my data base sometime today.  Wow, just seems like Chuck's work is never done..... Ha......
With all of that in mind, I guess for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's another beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania.....  It's supposed to go up into the mid 40s, a little below average but still not bad, not bad at all!
The first trees around these parts to start to turn green are usually the Weeping Willows...  Over the weekend when I went for a heart walk I didn't see a peep of green on them...  Spring is only 5 days away! Unbelievable! Across our lane in front of our house is part of the old "Erie" canal and believe it or not it still has a sheet of ice on it!
The gasoline prices around here have finally gone over the $2.00 a gallon range. Boy my dad would turn over in his grave at this news...  I remember he used to say that gas would NEVER reach a buck a gallon in the U. S. as there was just too much of it....  Dad passed away back in the early 70s. Of course he never took it to account unscrupulous fuel companies that I'm starting to think spend most of their time thinking about how they're going to gouge the public even more than they are! Check here for the cheapest prices in your area: Gas Search...
Still the cheapest place to buy gasoline with-in a 20 mile radius of where I live is Costco. I joined Costco just last month just so I could buy gasoline there. As of yesterday, it was 9˘ a gallon cheaper than the cheapest, other station I could find. That's a heck of a savings in my book! Did you know that Costco even sells caskets and urns! Sounds like Sears & Roebuck back in the old days. Now days I think they just call themselves Sears.  I guess Roebuck got dropped along the way..  Their old catalogs were GREAT! And yes, when I was a kid, when we first moved to the dairy farm, we kept one the old ones in the "outhouse" (just in case!) Yep, you can still build them, (out houses), in parts of this country... Need instructions? Click here for the lowdown on how to build one....  Outhouses  (I know a lot of folks are going to need this information! Ha!)
My family ordered a lot of "stuff" from Sears & Roebuck over the years and when I got married and had kids we carried on the tradition. When our kids needed school clothing, the clothes were ordered from Sears & Roebuck Catalog. When I wanted a pool in our back yard, I ordered it from Sears... Even when I bought stuff locally, I would use their catalog as a price reference! Back then they usually had the cheapest prices as well!  Also back then, Sears & Roebuck DID carry just about anything you needed or wanted.... From saddles, fencing, nails, barns, sheds, to clothing, shoes, furniture, appliances to tractors and at one time, I think they even sold cars! If you could think of it, Sears & Roebuck probably carried it!
I really loved those catalogs, but alas, over the years they were dropped as too high of an expense, according the the folks who run Sears. I suppose it was fated that way. Let's face it we now have the WEB but Sears doesn't carry the amount of different products as they used to. I don't think we'll ever see one company that will carry that many products again. Now, folks can find just about any product that they have an interest in, on the WEB. There is no need for a Sears Catalog anymore.....
There are lot's of FREE catalogs that are still available though. Auto Sport Catalog, Camping World, Sears Home Center, Tool King, even the famous J. C. Whitney Auto Catalog!  All are for FREE..  Just click here and pick what you want...  Catalogs
I DID get the two brand new promotional circulars for my new Pre Launch promotion for my favorite and best program, Elements, for my brand new 3rd leg in the matrix done, and got them approved by the company. Click here to see them. You can also print them out and join if you like..  I don't have all of the "kit" stuff finished but should have it done by the time any orders reach my office..  Circular #1 - Your Ticket To Success. And here's Circular #2 - Your Ticket To Success. If you get a chance, email me and let me know which one you like best....
Well, as I look at the piles on my desk that must be done before my daily trip to the Post office, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful, sunny, chilly morning here in Central Pennsylvania....  We had some snow flurries over the weekend but nothing that stuck around.
First of all a belated Birthday wish for my oldest son, Chuck Jr. who's birthday was yesterday March 13th! Little Chuckie..... Come to think of it I guess he's not that little anymore... just figured it out and he was 43 yesterday! Holy cats.... he's catching up to me!!! Happy birthday Chuck and many, many more!!!
We, Betty & I, went out Saturday for lunch and did a little shopping. Also, we stopped at the library and rented a couple of movies... Other than that I didn't get outside too much over the weekend as it was too darn cold. I did get a "heart walk" in yesterday but was glad to get back home into the warm house.
The coldness doesn't seem to be affecting the animals who live around us here along the river. I took notice yesterday there were 3 different pairs of geese who stopped in our back yard to feed. Up until lately they all hung around in gaggles but of course as soon as Spring approaches, they pair off. It won't be long until we see little babies with them. Every year I take pictures of the geese and their babies..  I don't know why as they all look the same but it seems when I first see them they are just soooo cute that I must get some snaps of them...
We are still supposed to have below seasonal temperatures at least for another week around here but it won't be long until spring clean up time is here and it's time to get the boat ready for launching..
Yesterday there were about 3 boats that we saw go up and down the river. Each had 2 people in them and they were really "bundled" up. Can't blame them as it must have been brutally cold out on the river. I really didn't see any of them actually fishing so they may have just been "scoping" things out to see how "Mother Nature" has changed the shores over the winter....
Over the weekend I finished two brand new promotional circulars for my new Pre Launch promotion for my favorite and best program, Elements for my brand new 3rd leg in the matrix.
I've made PDF copies and emailed them to the owner of the company, Jeff Charlton, for his approval before I begin to use them. Hopefully I get the "go ahead" or the recommended changes before the day is up and I'll be able to "post" them up on the web for you to see....  I'll let you know tomorrow morning. I don't know why but as I get older it seems harder to come up with new ideas to design circulars..  It might be because I haven't done much of that lately. We'll see what Jeff thinks of them. I'm sure he'll be more interested in the wording than the actual design however.
Well, Spring will be here in just 6 more days and Daylight Savings Time begins in just 20 days. Even though Mother Nature won't admit it and bring us some warm weather here in the east, the calendar say's that Spring is almost here! That's okay with me as I've had my fill of cold weather and am ready for a break. I don't think I'd like living in Florida or California where it's warm all year long. I'm pretty sure that I'd miss the seasons. After a while I get tired of the heat and long for the Fall and Winter and other times, like now, I get tired of the cold and long for the warmth of Spring and Summer....  There is no pleasing me, is there? It's probably because I'm used to it as I was born here and lived here all of my life.... Heck as the crow flies.....  I was born only about 6 to 7 miles from here. At home I might add. Yes, back in the "golden oldie" days when I was born, lot's of us were born at home. I never came right out and asked Mom how she felt about it... but by hearing here talk to her friends about it, apparently she had no problem with it.
I was born the "baby" of the family. I had a sister and brother but alas, both are gone now and it just me, "the baby" left.....  I remember when I was very small I hated being "the baby" as everyone was allowed to "push me around." Not just Mom & Dad, but my brother and especially Sis as she was 8 years older. Of course I also remember, if it weren't for Sis, we, my brother and I, would have probably not been able to go anywhere because as soon as she got her driver's license she took us with her just about everywhere.
She even took us along on dates when she went to like Hershey Park or swimming. She also had a job as an Usherette at a big movie house in Harrisburg and George, my Brother and I, would get in FREE, sit in the balcony, and Sis would bring us FREE popcorn, sodas etc.  Yep, we pretty much had it made! Oh I almost forgot when she dropped that job, she was still in school, she took another that Summer working in the concession stand at a brand new drive in theater that opened in our neighborhood. Yep, we would go along to work with her and she would bring us food.... and we'd get to watch all the shows....  Of course this was BEFORE R rated and X rated movies.. They were all good for the whole family! This as also before dad and mom bought the dairy farm because after that, we went absolutely nowhere!!!  It was all work...... (That's another story,)
Well, as I look at the piles on my desk that DIDN'T get done over the weekend, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F.
It's a beautiful but very cold sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania....
I sure hope you're ready for the weekend as I have a TON of stuff I must finish before my weekend begins....
It's still not fit to go on walks around here yet as apparently mother nature has forgotten how to raise the temperature above the freezing mark. Ice is all over the place... That's not too bad. The lane is pretty much clear but I'm not supposed to be out doors that long if the temperature is below freezing. So as far as my "heart" walks go, I'm kind of trapped in the house..... Well, mostly in the office here. They are calling for it to warm up a bit tomorrow... I sure hope so...  I'm sure that I have "spring fever" as I just can't wait to get out of doors and start working on all the "crap" down at the river and out in the yard...  Each year I bitch and moan about all the lawn mowing and working in the yard and now I'm bitching because I can't do it...  "Go figure...."   I guess as a typical human being, I can never be satisfied....  For some reason that doesn't surprise me at all.
If we all became placated..... nothing would ever be invented or improved on again. We would all become satisfied and just be happy with what we are and have. That would be a pretty boring situation, wouldn't it?
Talk about boring.......   I remember when I was a kid growing up on our dairy farm... I'd be out mowing hay... Up and down the field cutting about a 6 foot swatch with the hay mower blade. Unfortunately that was long before MP3s or such that you could put on and listen to music or maybe even a good audio book. After several hours I think anyone would become bored. About every hour or two I'd stop and take a break just walking around the field or pull up to the woods and have a look. I'd try to identify bugs, trees, wild flowers, anything to at least get my mind doing something.
The only extreme problem with hay mowing was that you had to stay very focused about 2 to 6 feet in front of the mower blade as it would take you about 6 feet to stop in an emergency. I know, you wouldn't think you'd have that many emergencies but there were a few.. The worst was running into a rabbit's nest. If you didn't see it and believe me, I didn't see them all, a lot of bunnies didn't make it. Many had to be euphemized with a large wrench or hammer or whatever you had along.. That was a part of that job that I really hated.. But it couldn't be helped.  It did give me a good feeling when I could see them BEFORE I got to them with the mower blade though.
If you get bored like me then you'll want to visit this site: Utterly Boring...  Lot's of stuff here to get your mind out of "grandma gear!" Go ahead, do it now, you have my permission... However if you're working and the boss is near, you'd better wait 'til later.....
I think I've rambled on enough here on this GREAT Friday.... I thought I'd be done with my new Pre Launch promotion for my favorite and best program, Elements my 3rd leg. However, I'm still working on it....  Come to think about it, I'll probably be putting the finishing touches on it over the weekend.... I should have it done VERY shortly....  I just must make sure everything is right before I officially "launch" it!
With all of that in mind, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's still a blustery day here in Central Pennsylvania but the sun is shinning and it looks like it's going to be a beautiful one!
I read this morning that the judge on the Michael Jackson trail issued a warrant for his arrest and threatened to revoke his 3 million dollar bail as he was late for his trial this morning. The judge gave him one hour... We'll see..  His lawyer said that he, Jackson, was in the hospital as the result of a back injury.
You know, for a guy that doesn't seem to do anything, (he even has a dude holding an umbrella for him when he walks), this guy always seems to have something wrong with him.....  You can read the story here: Jackson Story
You do know that if you or I would be anything close to being in trouble as what Jackson is with the law, we would have been rotting away for years in prison so far.....  We sure as heck would not be allowed out on bail even if we could raise 3 million dollars!!!  "Ain't" fame and money something else???
Those of you who have been reading this "daily post" for awhile know that I LOVE movies.... I just wanted to let you know about one that I watched last evening that I would say is one of the BEST action movies I've EVER seen! I rented it from our library a couple of days ago and just got the time last evening to view it...  It's called: "S.W.A.T.", and it stars Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, and LL Cool J.
If you want to read more about the movie or see a preview, (oops, I guess they call them trailers now days), just click here: "S.W.A.T.."
I just received the newsletter for my best program, Elements, and boy let me say that the program IS REALLY changing and changing for the best! We are going to be signing up thousands of people by the end of Summer this year! You might say it's almost like a brand new company all over again. I'll be doing a Pre-Launch for it and my new top 3rd position just as soon as I finish the promotional circular now. Everything else is done... I'm hoping that I get enough time today to finish it..  As soon as I do, I'll put a camera/ready copy in PDF form up on the WEB for you to see.
I'm getting really excited and eager to get the program off and running!
By the looks of the piles on my desks, I have a lot to finish before I can get started on the circular so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

The good news is that it has stopped snowing... the bad news....  it's only supposed to go up to 28 degrees today! Yep we really fell back into a cold snap here in Central Pennsylvania... It's hard to believe that Spring is only 11 days away!
Well, when I went to the post office here in Dauphin yesterday, the gas station in Dauphin had their new prices listed...  $1.98.9 Reg. Gas & $2.25.9 for Diesel Fuel. Wow! They went up 4˘ over night on the gasoline...  I pity the poor folks that have cars and trucks that operate on Diesel Fuel..  That's another thing I don't understand.... Why diesel fuel is higher priced than gasoline? It always was up until a few years ago, much cheaper because it takes a heck of a lot less refining than gasoline does....  There's something hiding in the woodpile there somewhere!
Of course that is about as stupid as the fuel costs when unleaded gasoline first started becoming necessary at the pumps.. The new cars back then had a smaller hole to put the gas pump in so you were forced to buy unleaded...  and it was about 6 to 8 cents more per gallon! Another rip off of the American public by our gasoline companies... Why do I say that? Did you know that gasoline doesn't come with lead in it..... NO.... it must be added!!!!  Now don't you think that if something had to be added to a particular mix of fuel it would cost more than unleaded gasoline where the lead was already absent?  Of course it would! Not in this case because the fuel companies knew that the public were being forced to buy the unleaded gas, because of the emission systems on the cars, and eventually all the vehicles would be required to purchase the "unleaded fuel."  I guess they figured, "May as well get the American Public to thinking that it cost more to refine unleaded fuel than fuel with lead in it."
You know it's coming don't you?
Yep, here's just another example how the fuel companies have been "raping" the American Public for years!!!  (Check on one of the below posts to read about back in the seventies the fuel companies actually made up a story that we had a fuel shortage!)
Where does it stop? When we we get pissed off enough to "dump the tea into the bay?" I guess maybe when there are more people going bankrupt than people that are not.....
Something's got to give, that's a "fer sure!"
Now that it's so cold here at the Blue Bird Cottage your ear lobes freeze when you go outdoors, the birds and squirrels on our back deck are really taking advantage of the "food" we put out of them... Seems like the crowd is getting bigger and bigger each day... Especially the birds...
My home business is running at it's peak this time of the year and I'm enjoying every day of it..  My box at the post office is getting stuffed each day as is our box in front of the cottage and it's just what I need to keep that cash flow going... That and answering the inquiries and filling the orders in a timely fashion..... With that in mind, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

Tuesday, March 8, 2005

It's a beautiful snowy morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania as you can see by this picture. This is some of the view from my office sliding glass door.
We're not supposed to get that much only and 1" or 2". But the amazing thing is that the temperatures were up in the 60s here yesterday! A beautiful warm day. I even saw one girl in shorts yesterday. (Pushing it a bit, I'd say, but them I'm a "geezer" so what do I know.")
I wonder if this is the "onion snow" my mom used to talk about. I remember, when Spring would approach and it would start to snow, mom would always say, "This must be the onion snow!"
I remember when I was very small, I would wonder what she was talking about as the snow flakes didn't look like onions to me. I checked it out in the American Heritage Dictionary and here's what it says, "noun. Chiefly Pennsylvania - A light snow in late spring, after the onions have been planted." Now that makes a bit more sense! But apparently there is no sure way to tell. I'm still looking for Spring. Let's face it, by the calendar, it's only 12 days away! Not even two weeks....  I think someone better remind "Mother Nature" however, as apparently she is not thinking Spring, at least not as far as I can see.
It's blowing and snowing but Hither and Dither, (the two squirrels that frequent our back deck), apparently don't give a darn as they are on the back porch raising cane so we'll go out and give them some feed.....  Oh well, I guess the snow and wind doesn't stop them from getting hungry... Better take a break here and do that right now.
That's that..... Although they ran off when I went out to feed them, I no sooner got back in the house when I looked out and there was a small bird sitting on the tray eating.. If the squirrels see that bird they will run him off for sure!
I received some of my monthly commission checks yesterday in the mail and I'm sure glad as I can use the cash flow. Most of my larger commission checks come in the first two weeks of the month. However, the bills come in all the time..  I guess it's that way for just about everybody though...  I'm glad for the small programs and services I offer as they bring in a constant supply of cash flow.
Of course if you're like my school teacher friend up in New York State, you don't have to worry too much about when the commission check comes, as long as it gets there, as he makes over $12,000 a month with the
American Bill Money (ID #3766). Yes, I'm in this one and working it, but I have a long way to go to reach 12 grand a month! Right now I'd settle for an extra grand a month from it..  I'll see how long it take's me to get that far...

Well, I had a REAL good mail day yesterday and am still working on it..  I'm also still working on my brand new promotional program for my best program Elements and I'd like to finish that today or tomorrow at the latest! I'm anxious to get started putting hundreds maybe even thousands of more folks into my downlines...  This will produce a LOT of "spillover" for the folks under me..  I'm excited already and that's why I must take time to finish the promotional materials!
With all of that in mind and a glance at the piles of work on my desks, it's time for me to get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania to start off the week with! Not only beautiful, but it's supposed to go up to 60 degrees today! I'm not going to mention tomorrow when it's only supposed to go up to 37 and calling for snow flurries! We got to enjoy the "good times!"
We had a great weekend here and I really got a lot done. It was even warm enough for a couple of "heart walks."
We did go out Saturday to do some shopping and stopped at our favorite Chinese Grand Buffet to eat. The food was great and we always enjoy talking with our Chinese friend, Jason, (Tian Lan)....
I also filled up the gas tank on the Jeep as around here gasoline is going up again, daily! Here we go again... It will never come back down to what it was a year ago I'm afraid. No, not because of OPEC or any of the Arab countries but because of our own gasoline companies! I read in the paper at the end of last week that the gas companies suspect that this summer will bring low supplies of crude oil so they figure they'll put up the gas prices now....  Wow, they're not even trying to hide their price gouging any more! They used to deny price gouging and try and cover it up, but now days I guess folks are so used to getting "screwed" by them they don't even bother to hide what ass wipes they are!
It kind of reminds me of back in the 70s.... We were "supposed" to have a gas shortage. It was so bad the lines were always very deep at all the stations....  It even went as far as if you had an "odd" or "even" car license plate, what day of the week you could by gasoline!  Yes, everyone was worried sick... Apparently the gas companies thought that our situation was GREAT fun as they "readily" admitted, (3 YEARS LATER), that it was all a FARCE!!! Yep, that's right, after all that worry and misery, the gas companies admitted that they made the "gasoline shortage" up....  (Oh so fast how everyone forgets.....) They also admitted that they "created" the gas shortage to "drive" up the gasoline prices!  Did they say they were sorry? Heck no!  Did the gasoline prices come back down? Heck no!!! Did the government penalize them for their blatant lies? Heck no!!! They didn't even get a "slap on the wrist!" (Hmmmmm..... here comes that question again........ WHY??? I'm sure you are intelligent enough to draw your own conclusions.... (..and they sent Martha Stewart to jail!)
We can't live without gasoline here in the U.S. Just like electricity we must have it to support our everyday lives...  If the electric companies did things like this..... you can bet the Public Utility Commission would "jump" down their throats!
Why is the government letting the gasoline companies get away with this crap? Is it because they are supporting a lot of Senators and Representatives election funds? Or maybe the companies are paying for Mr. and Mrs. Senator to take a few Junket trips each year?
Boy, there is something wrong here somewhere! When the companies come right out and say publicly that they are "jamming" the public and everyone ignores it.
I bought a subscription to CostCo just so I could buy their discounted gasoline. When I stopped Saturday to "fill up" the lines were extremely long so you can't tell me that the people just don't care. I pity folks that have to commute to work each and every day. At least my office is on the end of our house. I just don't know how the heck they can afford it! Better yet, how about the retired folks who live on their long awaited, VERY earned, social security retirement checks? Geez.... the government gives them a few percentage points raise, "to compensate for inflation", and then nails them even more than that for a Medicare rise. How in the world are they supposed to even begin to make up for the rises in heating, and gasoline with a Cost Of Living increase of $12 or $20 bucks????  It's ridiculous!
Something's got to give that's for sure... Of course we can always go back to my standing plan of action and "FIRE" them all out there in Washington and re-elect all new ones! I'll bet the new ones would watch their Ps and Qs at lot closer!!!
You can go here to find out what the prices are in your area at any given moment: http://www.gaspricewatch.com  l try and keep the gas station, here in Dauphin, up to date there. You can help by posting one near your house as well...
I still have not completely caught up with work from last week, here at my home office so as I look at the "piles" on my desks, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F
Hot dog it's Friday! I hope you're ready for a great weekend as it looks like around here, in Central Pennsylvania, we're in for a pretty good one. It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage but it's supposed to remain pretty cold here most of the day. We're still running way below our normal temps for this time of the year. Other than the lack of heat though, we're still having some very beautiful days.
Looks like the birds are "muscling" in on "Hither & Dither's", (the two squirrels that frequent our back deck), territory. As soon as the squirrels take a breather, the birds all jump in on the tray of grains we put out for the squirrels.. I don't mind but I think the squirrels do! This cardinal though, doesn't allow the small birds to eat either.... So he's about as nasty as the squirrels when it comes to sharing! I guess in this kind of weather, it's "dog eat dog" when it comes to food.
I hear in our small town of Dauphin, about a mile from where we live along the river, that they are putting their sewerage fees up to $60 a month! Wow seems like a lot of money to me...  I'm sure glad we still have our own septic system, here along the river.
I think the small town of Dauphin is "starving" for money since the new highway that bypasses the town went in a couple of years ago. They used to make most of their money with the town cop catching speeders. Yep that was pretty lucrative for the town and supplied most of the money. As a matter of fact our small town of Dauphin, PA was listed on the WEB as THE "Speed Trap" of the Nation!!!! Yep, Dauphin number one!  But what a thing to be number one at....   Don't know as I'd brag about that too much...
Now that the highway has opened the town can't even afford a town policemen and that job has been taken over by the State Police.
I had a good bit of mail here at my home office yesterday and to be honest with you I've only sorted about half of it. Everything is going great and I joined the conference call for my best home business program last night, Elements. Big changes are taking place with this company according to the owner, Jeff Charlton, and all will be in place and be in effect by April 1st. Look for this one to really be the best home business program on the market!!
I'm really looking forward to the weekend as I might even get a day off this week, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Weekend!!!
PS...  Check out today's joke page.... lot's of good one's today!

It's a sunny but VERY cold morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It's only supposed to reach about the freezing mark all day here. I hope we soon start warming up as Spring is just around the corner!
Just for the heck of it I did a search on the WEB for "Spring" to see if Spring was actually breaking through anywhere else in the good ole USA..  Almost the first thing that came up on the search was an ad for "Spring Break Travel" for college kids.  The destinations were, Bahamas, Cancun, Jamaica, Florida, Nassau, Acapulco, and a 5 day Spring Break Cruise!
Geez, when I see stuff like this it makes me feel poorer than a church mouse! It already costs an arm and a leg to put a kid through college now days, but to send them to other tourist countries for Spring Break? I'm starting to think that all college kids must have rich parents. Can you imagine little, Jimmy or Susie calling home and telling mom that they just must go to Nassau on their Spring Break because "all the other kids" are going?
No wonder the younger generations seem like they have no grasp on reality and/or common sense. They surely must have no idea what-so-ever about the value of a buck!
Are our college kids that shallow that they think every one goes on a cruise for a spring break or do we have to send them to college to find out how the other half lives?
I know our neighbor kid goes to high school each day and after he gets home he heads off to his part time job at a local grocery store. Also, my son, George, who just turned 40 not too long ago, works full time at the post office at night, supports a family, and in the morning drives for about 2 hrs. to the Penn State Campus, takes his classes and then drives 2 more hrs. home to get some rest before he must go to work again......
I remember a couple of years ago, Jay Leno, on one of his "Jay Walks" was interviewing kids at the graduating ceremonies at a college in California. (Now remember, these are kids who just got their diplomas where still were dressed in their caps and gowns.)
He asked each one of them how many continents there where in the world. A Pretty simple question I would say. NONE of them knew, so he asked each one how many they could name. Some got 2 correct. The last girl he interviewed said she wasn't sure of what any of them were so he said, "Which one do you live on?" "You know the one you're standing on right now?" This one, "She said"..... "Which one", Jay said, "This one" she said, "The one we're standing on." She didn't even know that she lived in North America.....  These kids just graduated from College... Can you believe it???? Scary, isn't it???
Looks like I'll be getting a good bit of work done today and hopefully on the design of new circulars that I'm working on for a brand new promotion of my best program, Elements. Yep, I'm working on a promotion that I suspect will bring in hopefully, at the very least, a thousand new distributors...  If you are interested in being one of the first to get in on the new promotion....  Email me with your name, address, Email and maybe your phone number, but that's optional, and as soon as I get it all together, hopefully by the end of this weekend, I'll let you know what to do next.... My Email: chuck@homebucks.com
Well, it looks like I'd better get back to work as I have plenty to work on.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania. It's windy and cold but we should have NO snow here today! Wow, we're taking a breather.... at least for a couple of days accordding to the weather people.
Apparentl
y no kind weather quells the appetite of our resident squirrels here, at the Blue Bird Cottage.
Here's a picture of one of the two squirrels that frequent our back deck for food every day. This was right before the snow storm started on Monday. He's sitting on the deck railing eating something that he just retrieved from a tray of mixed grains we set out on the floor of the deck each day.
Doesn't he look great, not a care in the world? He's got everything he needs... a nice breeze blowing from the river in the background, a nice warm nest in a tree in our yard, and right now he's filling his belly... What more could he ask for? Look at the misery we go through each week for just a short time on the weekends, just to capture some of his ecstasy! Yep, looks like this little fellow got it made...  We call the two squirrels Hither and Dither but we have no idea what sex they are....  Oh well, I don't think they mind as long as we keep putting out the food for them.
Everything went out in the mail yesterday for the end of the month stuff and all the applications that we received for the 2=SUCCESS downline builder, Phase VI that ended January 31st went into the main company by overnight mail, the Tape of the Month company. Hot dog, we did get a bunch of folks in the program so all should be happy. We just started the new Phase VII 2=SUCCESS downline builder on February 1st so we have 2 more months to promote that before we put another batch into the main program. This is certainly the easiest way to promote the program. Build your downline BEFORE you join the main program!
Although we did get the "end of the month" stuff out and gone yesterday, most of the inquiries and orders that came in Monday's & Tuesday's mail are still piled high on my desks waiting for attention and with that in mind, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!
