Looks like we're in for another beautiful, sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania....
Everything went well at the doctor's yesterday. This doctor is an Gastroenterologist. Wow, what a mouthful. All this means is that he deals with people's "inners"... you know, like stomach, intestinal, liver, and the rest of the goodies that keep us all alive. At any rate, he is the guy that operated on my esophagus a few months ago. He said I was doing fine and that I didn't have to see him for another 6 months.. Sounds good to me!
Betty and I then went out to eat at the Grand Buffet Chinese restaurant. I think I can safely say that the restaurant is now our favorite. We then picked up a few things at the store and headed for home. It was so nice last evening I decided to finish mowing the yard which I did and then with Betty's help I staked up my tomato plants. 'Til I got back in my office the day was about shot so most of my
Once A Month Association stuff that must be done by the end of the month will have to get done today. So I'm in for a VERY long day here in my home office. This week so far has been a very productive week and I'm sure happy for that.
July will be the last month of the present Phase IV of our latest
$2=SUCCESS downline building program... so if you are in that one there is still plenty of time to get out some promotional mailings....  Your efforts now will sure as heck pay off later.....
Well, I have tons of things left over from yesterday that I must get done before I even get started on the
Once A Month Association stuff so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a sunny, cool morning here in Central Pennsylvania. Looks like we're in for a wonderful day.
I did end up getting a pile of mail yesterday and still haven't gotten it all sorted and all the inquiries, orders, etc., done yet. I'll be spending most of today, as I forgot I have a doctor's appointment this morning, away from the office. As a result I'm afraid this is going to be a very short post today.
This month, June, only has 30 days so I must get started on the "end of the month" chores this afternoon. Mainly the
Once A Month Association stuff that must be done by the end of the month. I must redo and print the OAMA Monthly, Member Benefit Directory, run statements, write checks, and of course write the monthly Newsletter and get it all printed and mailed. Quite a job each month. Hopefully I'll be working on that when I get home and finishing it all up tomorrow.
I have a sore index finger on my right hand this morning and it's driving me nuts typing with it. I have no idea why. It looks okay but hurts so much you'd swear I had a splinter or something in it. I even got out my magnifying glass and looked and can see absolutely nothing. Oh well just have to put up with it 'til the pain goes away....
Oops... I just looked at the clock and it's time for us to head for the "big city" so for me I'm off, (in more ways than one), and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a beautiful day to start our new week here in Central Pennsylvania. It's supposed to go up into the mid 70's here today with some showers this afternoon. But all and all a very nice day.
I had a very productive weekend here along the river..... The river was full of canoes on trips down the river, sprinkled with kayaks and tubers. I also got my bass boat cleaned up and it's almost ready to go into the river...  I need to repair one of the seats and also of course get the motor on it... but I did get some pictures of the boat and also of the action on the river. To have a look... click here: Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 14 Lot's of work on my boat and I'm feeling it this morning... But it will be worth it when I get it in the river....
As you can see by the photos I didn't get much done in the office yesterday... in addition to working on the boat I barbequed chicken with the grill on the deck for supper and Betty and I watched the canoers, boaters, and tubers go down the river.  It sure beats watching television! Besides that, is was nice and cool out on the deck with a nice breeze coming across the river. Wow! Talk about a great time!.... We filled up on chicken and then did a crossword...  We just love doing crosswords...  If we can't get something in the puzzle we can't use the WEB to look it up... we must look it up the "old fashioned way", in books! Besides the fun, it sure helps build the old vocabulary and helps keep the mind sharp. I get daily puzzles from USA Today site just click here: http://puzzles.usatoday.com/ that will take you right to the puzzle page. Also, if we need more than one here's another good place to get one: http://www.uclick.com/client/tre/fcx/ just pick a date and click the "click" sign and bingo there's a new crossword! You can print either one of these and do them and if necessary you can also look up the answer.
I should get a pretty good batch of mail today as it's Monday. I do have several things that I must get done before I head for the post office so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. It's a nice, sunny morning to start out Friday but we're supposed to develop very destructive thunder storms before the end of today. The good news is that the rest of the weekend is really supposed to be beautiful weather! That's a "good thing" as Martha Stewart says.......
I sure hope you're feeling better than me. I did mow the "lower 40", (the back yard down at the river), yesterday and then decided to do more brush cleaning and cutting down at the river. I worked on that for about an hour and a half until it was almost dark and I figured I was pretty tired.
After I got my bath and sat down on my recliner in the living room I felt that I really did get something done. Then I went to get up to do something about a half hour later.... Ouch! I could hardly get up! I think I overdid it a bit. I guess I'm not used to doing that much physical work all at once anymore. I felt miserable all night trying to get to sleep and get some rest and this morning I'm not that much better off. No "heart walk" this morning. I think I'll be working, here in my office, most of the day and on sit down jobs mostly if I can find them. Ouch!
As I worked out doors most all of yesterday afternoon and evening I didn't even finish opening all of my mail let alone sort it and fill filing inquiries and orders so that's my first order of business today. Yes, lots to do before my weekend starts...  I hope you're about ready for your weekend as it is only hours away.......
On that note..... it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!!!!!!

Another gorgeous morning here in Central Pennsylvania. It's supposed to go into the mid 80s today and is starting out warm already with a temperature of 73 outdoors at this very moment. (That's in the shade on our back porch.)
I didn't go on a "heart walk" this morning as I must get some lawn mowing done today and I should get plenty of "walking" exercise with the mower. At my age, that should be enough.
I received quite a few applications in the mail yesterday for the $2=SUCCESS downline building program, and the 2 Bucks for Success downline building program that I got opened and sorted but that's about it. I must get them into the data base and print out the custom circulars and get them all into the mail before I go on my regular trip to the post office.
I've also been receiving more promotional mail than usual. In the Summertime the mail order business is supposed to slow up but instead, at least for me, it seems to be picking up! I've written an article about running a mail order business in the Summer you can check it out here if you want: Does It Pay?
Well, looks like I'm in for a long day here in my home office so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Betty and I just got back from a "heart" walk out our lane and back. (Both ways add up to about a mile). The wild life is out this morning as we ran into many rabbits and even a baby groundhog, "woodchuck", baby rabbit and believe it or not a baby toad!. I had my camera along so you can see some of the wildlife from our morning walk. Just click here on Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 13 to check them out.
Betty's and I went to see Dick, my brother-in-law, yesterday at the Harrisburg Hospital, (check yesterday's post), and he's doing fine. Much better than I suspected he would. So that makes me breathe a little easier. I think he's getting much better each day. I least that's what I get from my nephew, Ken.
Today I will be concentrating on getting as much work done as I can here in my office as I now have a bunch of orders and inquiries to catch up on and I'm running behind in getting my new promotion campaign going for my Coin Savers Club program. I've also promised to design more material for my $2=SUCCESS downline building system for the Tape of the Month business, and must get to that as well.  Busy, busy, busy......  that's today's word for here.
Oh...... update on the groundhog problem at the outside corner of my office..... I filled the hole to his burrow in and so far it's staying filled in...  (Note to Kathy..... I hope you're wrong Kathy and mine decides to find another home unlike yours that refuses to live anywhere except under your "above ground" swimming pool!) Only time will tell on this one.
I still must get my bass boat cleaned up and in the river but I'm afraid I won't have any time to mess with it today as I'll be in the office most of the day. I may take some time later this evening to do some mowing. With all the rain lately it's just like in the Spring and I'm still having a tough time keeping up with the grass. It's growing faster than I can keep it mowed. I get a kick out of these folks that like their yards being just so in the Summer and when it dries out a bit they'll have their lawn sprinklers on. Heck I can't wait til then as the growth slows up and I get a break from mowing!
Well, with everything that must be done in mind, for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

This morning brings us cloudy skies here in Central Pennsylvania. Overcast but warm at a nice 70 degrees. We're supposed to have rain off and on today.
So far the Groundhog has not re-dug his hole at the corner of my office as of yet. Hopefully he won't but it's early yet so I'm not counting my chickens as of yet!
This past week has been a real doozy. Betty's sister AND my brother-in-law both had strokes. We've have visited her sister a couple of times in the hospital but have not been to see my brother-in-law yet. (They're in different hospitals.) I'm going to take some time this afternoon and make a trip down to the big city, Harrisburg, to visit him and see how he's doing. Apparently neither one has lost any of their physical faculties as Betty's sister has eyesight and memory problems and my brother-in-law has, at least for now, has lost his ability to speak. What a mess...
As yesterday was Monday I received a ton of mail and am still sorting and opening it so for me, right now, it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a beautiful morning here in Central Pennsylvania to begin a brand new week. It's sunny but for the first day of Summer it's unusually chilly at a temperature on our back porch of only 61 degrees...... I'll say it's unusual!
I didn't get anything done over the weekend that I had planned to do. I especially wanted to scrub out our bass boat, drag it to the river, and install the boat motor, but it was so chilly yesterday I didn't want to "play" in the water. I still hope to get it in the river this week.
Every year the state of PA pays to have the Susquehenna sprayed for black flies.... you know "gnats". Pesky little buggers especially when they are VERY plentiful!
They were really getting bad this year but Friday the helicopter was out back flying over the river and spraying.. I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures....  Take a look at them here, Spraying. If you look close you can see the spray hitting the water... They usually spray 2 or 3 times over a period of a few weeks. After that the black flies are a bit more tolerable, much more tolerable. It sure doesn't "wipe" them out completely.... but it DOES put a "hurt" on them.
I just covered up the groundhog hole here at the corner of my office. Now I'll just have to wait and see if the darn thing re-digs it again. Check below, in last week's posts, for more about our "resident" groundhog. (woodchuck)
I finished the statements for the 2 Bucks for Success downline building program over the weekend as well, and they will be in this morning's mail. Those of you who are in the downline builder and/or in the Coin Savers Club that used the 2 Bucks for Success circulars to promote the program and have signed any $2 buck members into the downline builder between the dates of May 15th to June 15th should get your statement within the next couple of days. If you also promoted with the company circulars that were returned to them, (the company), you will receive a statement from them as well. I don't send their statements out so I'm not sure when you'll get them, but you will. Use them to contact your downline prospects and encourage them to join the main Coin Savers Club program if they have not already. When they do join they will be placed directly into your personal downline and you will receive a $25 one time sign up bonus for each!
Well, looks like I do have some things that I must get done before my regular, daily trip to the post office, so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. It's another beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania. It's predicted to get quite warm and humid today.
Father's Day will be here Sunday. Did you get something for your Dad? Even if it's just a card, believe me he'll appreciate it. Don't forget!
Also, if you get time, get outdoors in the evenings as these are the longest daylight days of the year. THE longest will be here Monday the 21st. It's called Summer Solstice and will be the day with the longest daylight of the year. So get out, if you can, and enjoy them as after Monday it's downhill all the way for lengths of the days until next year at this time.
I'm going to be setting up my 800 toll free number today to promote my Coin Savers Club business over the WEB. Those of you who missed the last couple of conference calls can get all the information on where to go and how to set it up here, www.CoinSaversClub.com and then click on the Marketing Tools and then click on the "FREE MONEY Campaign" button.  It's actually pretty cheap at only $6.95 a month! These are special rates that Jeff Charlton, the owner of the club, has set up for us. You actually get 6 different 800 mail boxes so you can set up one or more for other promotions you are doing. Can't beat the cost with a stick!
We're supposed to have a nice weekend here in Central Pennsylvania so over this weekend I hope to get our Bass boat cleaned up, in the water, and the motor operating properly. That's the plan at any rate...... If I do I'll try and get some pics of it up on this site for Monday.
The saga of our "live in" groundhog continues and I'll have an update on him up here on Monday as well.
In the meantime it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!
Don't forget to check today's Jokes and their are some "Jim Dandies" in there!

It's a clear, warm, absolutely beautiful morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and seems like it will stay that way most of the day, until the thunder boomers come later this afternoon.
I had a great day yesterday and did get pretty much done, here in the office, after taking into account that we did go out yesterday afternoon for lunch and did a little shopping.
If you're in the Coin Savers Club and missed last night's conference call you missed a "Jim Dandy"! The company kicked off a brand new advertising campaign that should really boost membership even more than it has been over the last several months! Everything is not final as of yet but you can check out most of the campaign on line. Just go to : www.CoinSaversClub.com and then click on the "FREE MONEY Campaign" button. The whole story is here and at the bottom you can click on an ordering form to order materials. Check it out. Those of you who haven't joined the Coin Savers Club as of yet can join the downline builder, to get started, for only $2 bucks. Just click here, 2 Bucks for Success, print the application, fill it out and send it along with 2 bucks and I'll place you in the downline builder and send you an information packet. Or you can join the main company now for the introductory cost of only $9.95 just click here, Coin Savers Club, and then click the button on the right that says, "Try CSC now for only $9.95". You'll be glad you did, should you like it and decide to make it your home business. I'm already pushing over a grand a month and that's growing like wild fire! If you need help with anything, Email or call me......
I haven't gotten a chance to cover the ground hog hole at the corner of my office, hopefully I'll get it done today to see if I can "run out" the varmint that has decided to live under my office. See Groundhog pictures. This guy is a big one. I remember back on the farm, (I grew up on a dairy farm), dad's buddies from work used to come to our place to hunt ground hogs, (woodchucks). They would butcher and eat them. Claimed the meat was very good. Well, on the farm I used to shoot them as well as they were very destructive but I never ate any. I don't see that there would be any thing wrong with that though. Let's face it, rabbits and squirrels are in the same "family" and we think nothing of eating them. Anyway, this afternoon I will launch my, "get rid of the groundhog" campaign. I'll keep you informed.... (As if you're really interested!)
Well, I do have a bunch of stuff to get done here in the office before my daily trip to the post office so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!!

It's a bit overcast here in Central Pennsylvania this Wednesday morning but it's supposed to go into the 80s and be very humid... Looks like Summer is here this time.. A bit uncomfortable for us humans but my tomato plants just love it!
I was just beginning to write this post for today when I saw something, out of the corner of my left eye, outside the sliding glass door where I sit in my office. I turned my head and right outside the door was this huge groundhog! (woodchuck)....  Until I got out my camera for a couple of pictures he had moved out toward our lane but I did manage to capture a couple of shots.  Click here to view the Groundhog pictures. I was wondering why this guy was so close to the house until Betty walked outdoors and called to me to come out. Holy cats at the corner of my office out side the building, where last year I had our "pet wild rabbit" living under my office, the groundhog had dug a large hole under the bricks where I filled it in after the bunny incident. Now I have a groundhog living under the office! I can't win for losing! I'm going to just take a shovel and fill the hole back in and see if he moves or re-digs the darn thing..  I'll let you know....
I have plenty to get done here in the office today but I think Betty and I will "sneak" off early this afternoon and eat a nice lunch. Probably at the new Chinese restaurant as we REALLY like the food there. We like the folks there as well as they are all congenial and very friendly. Most of them are pretty much not much more than kids. We know just about all of their names and most at least wave and welcome us when we walk in. We do go there a lot and Betty's son, John is always kidding me and asking if the Chinese Restaurant has put up our picture as of yet. (You know, because we go there so often). At any rate it will give us both a break.
We just assembled another mailing of 200 pieces to go out for my promotion of the Coin Savers Club and the Tape of the Month program. We sent out two hundred for Betty last Saturday. I just have to do the paperwork and write the check for this batch so we'll mailed them on our way out this afternoon. I hope to get another mailing together for one of use by the end of this week. The more mailing pieces we get out the faster we build our businesses and the faster our checks get bigger..  This business is GREAT!
Those of you who are in the Coin Savers Club don't forget the conference call tonight. It's going to be a special one and a new marketing concept for the program will be discussed as well! (If you need the number and code just email me.)
Lots to get done today so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

We had thunder storms and heavy rains most of the night but this morning it's bright and sunny here, in Central Pennsylvania. Looks like we're in for a GREAT day!
I did get a little outside work done yesterday afternoon. I mowed the "lower forty", (back yard), down along the river. Boy what a job that is and I'm glad that's done for at least another week. It continues to rain here nearly every other day just like spring and the grass continues to grow at amazing speeds and it makes it hard to keep after.
The longest day of the year, (daylight), and the first day of Summer is about here, called Summer Solstice in only 6 days, June 21st. I really look forward to that day each year and then I'm sad after it's here. It DOES mean that Summer has finally arrived here in the Susquehenna Valley but it also means that it's all down hill after that until next year. By that I mean the days will continue to get shorter and shorter. I think it's great that it's daylight now up until and after 9PM in the evenings. I really enjoy sitting on the deck over looking the river and reading and just plain enjoying the end of the day.
If you're in the Coin Savers Club don't forget there is a conference call for tomorrow night that will be announcing a great, new, exciting marketing system for the Coin Savers Club. It's at 10 AM CST and 9 PM CST. Email me if you need the number and access code.
As yesterday was a Monday I received a lot of mail and still have some to sort and take care of so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

The start of a brand new week and the sun is trying to peek though the clouds here in Central Pennsylvania this morning. It rained most all day Saturday and Sunday was cold and gloomy all day so today looks pretty good.
I find myself lately getting more and more interested in NASCAR racing. No so long ago the only race I can remember that they televised was the Indy 500. Now days though all of that has changed as racing is becoming more and more popular. Betty's kids have been "into" it for several years. To me it's been kind of like watching a golf game on TV although it is a bit more exciting. Actually Betty is "into" it more than I am and when she first started a year or two ago I remember going to the NASCAR web site and they had a lot of stuff there well worth the visit. You could even listen to the race if it was on and hear the drivers talking to their pit crews etc. Yeah it was great fun visiting that site. But visit that same NASCAR site today and what a disappointment it is. Oh sure they still have up the stats on the drivers and the races and also have up plenty of advertisements that if you would like to here the race and watch what's going on you can, for a monthly fee! Yep, you don't get to see anything unless you want to pay some extra money and join their "club". It's getting to be BIG business cashing in on every small aspect of every "sporting" event to milk as much cash from it as they possibly can. Don't get me wrong, you can still watch the races on TV or most of them if you happen to have that channel. Even the cable now has a "club" you can join, (with a monthly fee of course), that allows you to "ride" in the car with your favorite driver. Wow! What will they think of next?
NASCAR racing can be fun if you like it, but if you really want to get "into" them you don't have to go directly to the track, you can stay at home and spend your money just as well! How long will it take them to devise how to sell you beer and hot dogs over your TV set? You can already buy those coffee & beer mugs at your local mall. So if you like NASCAR racing, get out your wallet and enjoy!
Last Friday Betty and I worked most of the day getting a 200 piece mailing together for her to promote her businesses in the Tape of the Month program and of course the Coin Savers Club. We finally got it finished and I ran down to the post office to mail it... you guessed it, the Post Office was closed for the burial of former President Reagan! I just don't understand that with Cable Television and my constant Internet connection I did not hear that they were closing the post office down! When did you hear about it? Boy I must have been sleeping when that took place! At any rate it wasn't that big of a deal as we sent out the bulk mailing on Saturday. Those of us who depend on the post office a good bit for our business and way to make a living are definitely at the mercy of someone's whim..... I'll actually be glad when another form of communication takes over and replaces the post office. NO, I don't want to see people lose their jobs but when was the last you saw a postal worker that actually liked their job and cared that it was done properly? It sure is a rarity that's for sure!
On that note I'd better get my butt back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

It's going to be a nice, beautiful, sunny day, here in Central Pennsylvania.
Betty and I both have doctor's appointments this morning with our regular GP. Actually it's mostly for blood tests so hopefully it shouldn't take that long. It is for this morning and time is marching on so this post will be pretty short this morning. I do have some things that I must get done before my weekend starts and I should be home in time this afternoon to rap them up.
I'd like to do some yard saleing tomorrow morning as it rained last Saturday and dampened our efforts to get to any.... Not that I really need anything but I'm always on the look out for office supplies and electronic stuff. I have saved a good bit of money finding "stuff" for my office, from copy paper to printers.
If you missed last night's conference call with the Coin Savers Club, you missed a Jim Dandy! I was one of the guest speakers but Jeff Charlton the owner of the company really shined last night throughout the entire conference call. If you'd like to hear Jeff yourself and find out more just click here Coin Savers Club and then click the "Audio Training" button on the left side of the site. You may really like yourself for it later or you may just dismiss it right off the bat... either way you have nothing to lose!
Well, as I mentioned above, we have to leave now for our Doctor's visit so for now I'll sign off and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

The sun is trying to peek through here on a cloudy Thursday morning in Central Pennsylvania. It is a beautiful day out though and should be all day.
It seems like all week around here and on our local TV stations was hard to get any local news as every day has a constant running of former president Ronald Regan's burial undertakings. I'm so glad he's getting such respect as well he deserves it, however don't the networks think that hours and hours of watching folks pass by his casket just might me a bit boring for TV watchers? No disrespect but don't you think enough is enough?
I read this morning that so far Reagan's burial has cost the District of Colombia 3.2 million dollars, ($3,200,000.00) and that just up to yesterday. The costs are rising and the District of Colombia is hoping that the Federal Government is going to reimburse them. I know that it's important for the American people to lay such a man properly in his grave but when I think of each month when I'm contributing to feed hungry children that that money could sure as heck be put to better use.
Here's another conundrum for me as I DO support our boys and girls overseas in the war etc., however it makes me wince when I hear the cost to our country to "free" these folks and help put their country back in order. Especially when the country is "oil rich" and should be able to not only afford the cost of rebuilding their country but also the "cost" to set them "free." It also makes me feel bad to pass this debt down to more generations of Americans to pay for this war when you consider that most of the folks over there believe their religion and think we are all infidels and don't deserve to breathe the same air as them.
So much for that "stuff"....
It's going to be busy around here in my home office today as I still have some more mail to go through and sort from yesterday...  I'm really looking forward to a productive day.
Tomorrow Betty and I both have appointments with our family doctor so we'll lose most of the morning and early afternoon as far as work goes.
On that note it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

A nice day again here in Central Pennsylvania. Temperatures are supposed to go up into the 90's today and be very hot and humid. Maybe not officially, but I think that Summer has arrived!
I worked most of yesterday afternoon out on the deck toward the river. I took that laptop out there and ran a networking cable out and I was in business. There was a nice cool breeze coming in off the river and I really enjoyed it. I even got caught up with some with my mailing lists. No, I don't have wireless networking with my computers as of yet. Heck I just finally got them all networked about a year and a half ago. I usually have 3 of them running at all times. My main one that I do about 70 percent of my work on, (although so of the databases are housed on my back up computer on the other side of my office), and of course my laptop. My newest laptop is actually a pleasure to work on as it also has a 17" screen and is plenty big for even designing circulars. Actually, at the moment, the laptop is the fastest computer that I own!) My main computer has the new 19" monitor I just bought month before last and my back up has a 17" monitor. I also have 3 printers on, and hooked up at all times. My laser jet HP is beside my main computer, the HP PhotoSmart ink jet printer and the old dot matrix printer are near the back up computer. Although of course, they can be accessed by any of the computers on the network. I only use the "hammer" printer, (the old dot matrix), for printing mailing labels. I do print a lot of mailing labels and I print a lot of them with bar codes. This printer makes it ideal to print bar codes on and the labels for it are really cheap compared to the larger laser labels I'd have to buy if I wanted to print bar codes with my laser.
So when I sell mail lists, most go out on dot matrix labels. Actually the dot matrix printer, an old Epson LX-800 was the first printer that I ever owned and I bought that used back in 1991. (It came as an extra to my first computer.... an old PC clone that didn't even have a hard drive and operated from 2 large 5Ľ" floppy disks! I used it to operate my entire business at the time.. and thought it was the best thing since mashed potatoes! It was well worn when I got it and I've used it almost every day since then and it has never let me down. (Knock on wood.) Actually it's also cheaper to run as it takes ink ribbons similar to the old typewriters and they are cheap compared to the ink jet and laser refills. Apparently the old "drivers" that are built into the operating systems of just about all the new computers still work with the old Epson as two of my networked computers have Windows XP and the backup has Windows 2000 on it and they all work with the Epson LX-800. I often have seen the old dot matrix printers at yard sales for almost nothing. I've always got my eye out for an LX-800 for a back up for the one I have but have not run into one as of yet. I've already seen about 8 or 10 printers on a flea market table for as little as $5 bucks to $25 each! These are printers that once cost hundreds of dollars each to buy and some over $1000.00! You may think, if you have room, about hooking up an old "hammer" printer to your system to save on your ink costs. If you do a lot of text printing of various sites you visit it would be ideal for you. Although some WILL print graphics to some extent they do their best job with text. However now days you can highlight the text that you want to print on a page and tell your printer just to print that (minus the graphics.) I do it all the time... Takes a little longer but does save on the expensive ink jets and laser supplies....
I must get to re-vamping and updating some of my promotional circulars hopefully this week. It's a job that been long over due. I have come up with a great idea to really pick up the sign up rate for my 2 Bucks for Success downline building system and hopefully this week I'll be concentrating on that one. I'll announce the change here in my daily post first so you'll be able to decide if you want to join me.
Time marches on and today is already under way, so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's another beautiful sunny day here in central Pennsylvania. The morning before yesterday I had to turn the heater on to take the chill off the house as it didn't even get up to 70 degrees and today they are calling for it to get to 88 degrees and hot and humid! What a radical change in our weather.
I'm almost afraid to mention it but gasoline prices have actually come down around here in the last few days. The gas station in Dauphin, the only one, has just lowered is prices to $1.89 for regular gas and $1.75 for diesel. I know it's still awful high but it's better than 2 bucks a gallon! Some news sources say that prices are coming down because of the coming election. It's a known fact that the Saudi's called Clinton and offered to him to bring oil prices down for his election, maybe they are doing the same for Bush.....  Politics... ain't it a blast?
Talking about the Saudi's, last evening on one of the news specials like 60 minutes they said that the Saudi's are on a good basis with the U. S. however they still teach their children in school to hate us as we are all infidels, (it means unholy, unclean and wicked!) Aren't these the people we sent our troops over to in "Papa Bush's" administration to "save" as Saddam was invading their country to take it over? Why are we trying to help folks who literally hate us? They actually teach their children to hate us as well.....  Why are our boys over there dying and getting maimed to "set them free?" Did I miss something or have I been sleeping for a few years?  I guess we're unholy enough to save their asses!
I did take some time last evening to get a little mowing done. The way it's been raining around here the grass is growing faster than I can keep it cut. I'll probably do a little more today if it doesn't get too awful hot. I was down checking my tomato plants at the river in our back yard yesterday and I had two real nice plants about twice the size of the others and one was broken off at ground level. The geese come into our yard, (with their little ones), all the time and I think they may have stepped on it. Maybe I should have a nice goose to eat instead of fresh tomatoes?  hmmmmmmmm......
As yesterday was Monday, I did get a nice pile of mail to go through. I haven't quite gotten through the entire pile yet so that's my first job this morning and with that in mind it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

The beginning of a brand new week here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and a really nice one at that. The sun is shinning and it's supposed to go up to 80 degrees today. Quite a contrast from over the weekend. It rained Saturday and Sunday and didn't even reach 70 degrees here yesterday. I got absolutely nothing done outdoors over the week end and will have to get my mowing, etc. done through this week when I can grab some time from work here, in the office.
Well it was quite a weekend what with celebrating the 60th anniversary of the D-Day and the passing of Ronald Regan. There's a great site that I found where you can listen to actual voice accounts of men who lived through the D-Day assault. Some GREAT stuff! Check it out by clicking here: WW2 People's War. This site could also be handy for your kids or grand kids homework for history. You can find the biography of Ronald Regan plus plenty of links for his famous speeches plus many, many more items at: The White House I would book mark this site also under your history folder for you and the kids and/or grandkids.... You never know.....
You would have thought that not being able to go outside to get anything done that I would really have got caught up here in the office. NOT....  I did get some work done but I just felt lazy over the weekend... I don't know if it was the weather or not, (I'm blaming on the weather), but I just moped around and did a lot of reading. I also did a lot of "surfing" the web..  I have all this great computer equipment and high speed Internet connection and I usually only use it for work. Well I did have a good time just surfing around. Trouble with me is that I'm interested in EVERYTHING and where ever I click, I'm usually there for awhile. So even if I spend a few hours screwing around on the WEB I really don't see that many spots...  Boy a lot of our older folks, who are retired, wondering what to do with their time, really don't know what they are missing do they? It's a shame as they are the folks who have the time to really have a ball on the WEB.  Oh well, I've tried to tell some of my friends and they won't budge. I have a brother-in-law who actually retired early from his job as his company, (a few years ago), was converting to computers. He was so afraid he actually got physically sick just thinking about it. To this day he won't have anything to do with computers.  His grandson lives with him, (about 29 years old), and he is computer equipped but my brother-in-law will have nothing to do even with his.
Well, I still have some things that need caught up before my trip to the post office so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. It's a beautiful sunny day to start the weekend here in Central Pennsylvania. I know I have a few things to get done before I begin my weekend but then I'm going to enjoy it. I'll probably be working here in the office some over the weekend but I enjoy that anyway so it will still be a fun weekend.
The river is beautiful right now and I'm just itching to get our small bass hound boat in and do some fishing. I picked up the registration for it last week but I still must pick up a fishing license. We still have to scrub out the boat and clean it up, haul out the motor from the garage, tune it up as necessary and then we'll be ready for our "maiden" trip for the summer.. They are calling for VERY cool rainy weather tomorrow but I think Sunday may be a good day to do our "boat project." If I get it done I'll take a couple of pics and get them up here for you to see by Monday.
Our downlines in the
Coin Savers Club are taking off and a lot of it is the result of a new fellow joining the company, Graham Barry. Graham is from England and has only been in the states about 2 years. His last MLM business venture was with a nutrition company where in 12 years he grossed 2.6 million dollars! Not huge for MLM but definitely a nice earnings. He eventually sold his MLM business 2 years ago for 500 thousand dollars.
Graham is an excellent speaker and teacher and has been sharing his stories and strategies on our latest conference calls. If you are in the
Coin Savers Club or just in my $2 downline builder, 2 Bucks for Success, it will pay you to get on one of the weekly conference calls and just listen....  You will be inspired believe me.... I'm an old pro and I was. If you need conference call phone number and information just drop me an email and I'll shoot it right back to you.
Remember, even though I preach about home businesses a lot here in this daily post, a home business is NOT for everyone. If you just need extra money and have no interest in a business of your own or a residual income check, it may pay you to just get a extra part time job.
Well, as I look around my desks I still see small piles of "stuff" that should be finished before my weekend begins so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!! My joke page is pretty short today but has some good "Jim Dandy" jokes in it so if you get time click on it, below.

It's another beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania and by the looks of our back yard we received no thunder storms over night. That's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say as I just got done cleaning up the debris from the last one night before last.
We got all the applications done and in the overnight Fed Ex system in time yesterday for the Tape of the Month program that we generated from our $2=SUCCESS downline building system so the main company should be receiving them by 3 PM this afternoon. Now that's done, I have a few other "orders" to take care of that I've put off for the last 2 days. I hope to get all caught up by the end of today. I'll stay home and keep my nose to the "grind stone" today, that's for sure. I wonder where that old saying came from. If you know of a good internet site that defines old sayings, "adages" and how they first got started I'd appreciate if you'd email me the URL of the site.
I received another "bad" check yesterday for a lousy 2 bucks. Can you believe that? Yep only $2 but then my bank has their charge on it of 6 bucks so now the $2 check bad check debt has become an $8 bad debt. Although I've tried twice with no luck to catch someone in, or return of my phone call so far, I'm hoping it was just an accounting error. For as many very small checks as I receive I really don't get too many bad ones but one the last ones I received, the people closed the account and moved away. No forwarding address and of course the phone number is not worth a hoot so I'm stuck with a $2 check and a $6 bank charge on that one. Of course that does not include the long distance phone calls or the postage and time to write letters etc....  No wonder some businesses charge a flat rate as high as $30 for any bad checks passed on to them. It can be very time consuming......
The weekend is coming fast and I've got plenty to get caught up with here at my home office so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

We had some thunder storms overnight but this morning it's nice and sunny here in Central Pennsylvania.
I must get to work this morning on all the applications we received for entry into the Tape of the Month program as they must be into the home office in Texas by tomorrow. I'll get them all ready to go this morning and then run them down to the UPS store in Harrisburg, PA and send them "overnight" delivery. That should have them in their offices by tomorrow afternoon. We had a pretty good sign up rate this time and hopefully a lot will spill over into our downlines... Don't forget we've started another new $2=SUCCESS downline building program at the beginning of May. If you'd like to get in, click on $2=SUCCESS and print the page, fill it out and send it along to me and I'll get out your "kit" within 24 hours.
In The News
One of the great things about having this daily post is that I get to mention some things of interest to me that people around me don't want to hear. You know, they get the craps of me bitching and moaning about different things..
One of my latest has been this whole Martha Stewart fiasco. Now I know Martha did wrong, but lets face it, I'm not going to feel any safer in my home with Martha locked up somewhere in jail. Why not slap her on the wrist and give her a severe fine? Heck from what I hear taking some of her money will hurt her more than anything. I just think sometime we get our priorities screwed up when it comes time to decide who the heck to slap in jail. In a lot of states they are letting out hardened criminals to replace them with more but in some cases those that are replacing them are white collar crimesters! Yes, I know that crimesters is NOT a real word but you have to admit that it DOES sound cool...... At any rate I read in yesterday's paper that Martha will seek to lighten her jail term by spending up to 20 hours a week teaching poor women how to start their own businesses. Martha and her ex-stockbroker Peter Bacanovic were convicted in March of lying about why she sold shares of ImClone Systems stock just before the price plunged. She is to be sentenced on June 17 and could face 10 to 16 months in prison.
Yep, by tossing her butt in jail for year will really teach her a lesson and make us all feel much better that she will not be out doing that thing again.... (whatever she did... hmmmmmmm.....) I'm sure if she does it again it will really hurt me or my family, won't it? Isn't that why we must lock her up? I think????  At any rate good luck Martha, apparently you're going to need it..  (How do you teach poor any person, woman or other wise how to start their own businesses?) Wow, right there, that's going to be a trick!
That's enough ranting and raving for me for today..... I must get these applications finished so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania to start our new work week and a brand new month. Quite a different story than yesterday as yesterday was rainy and cold all day. Yep, this is going to be a GREAT week!
Betty and I finished the end of the month
Once A Month Association stuff and all will be in this morning's mail. This month's newsletter has a GREAT idea for promoting the OAMA opportunity business. If you're in OAMA you should be receiving your monthly mailing package in a few days.... don't toss your package and just take out your commission check before reading this month's newsletter....  Also, keep your Monthly Member Benefit Directory on your desk for lots of savings over the month.
Those of you who do work from your own home office or are just in your own home business may find these links to be a little more than beneficial.
First is the Home Business Magazine Online Edition site that is crammed packed with FREE reports, articles, books etc. about saving and making money for home business operators...  Give it a click and see for yourself.
Second, the IAHBE or The International Association of Home Business Entrepreneurs is an organization that champions the home-business lifestyle and provides it's members with a multitude of resources designed to achieve maximum home-business success. This resource can actually be promoted as a business itself! Be sure and check this one out as well. Just click on the above links.
There's lots of money to be made out there just working on your own home computer and that's a fact!
Looks like today will be very busy here in my home office as Monday is usually a large mail day for me but with the holiday weekend it should be a "Jim Dandy".... so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!
