T.G.I.F. The sun is out and
in here this morning in central Pennsylvania. The river is receding though and
that makes me feel pretty good. I just walked down to check out my
tomatoes to see how
bad off they are as the water had covered the bottom of the stalks. Seems like
the bottom vines are curled up and black but so far most of the plants look
good. The river is supposed to keep going down until Sunday when we're
scheduled for a lot more rain here and north of us..... I've got my
fingers crossed that it will never happen but it looks like we may be in for
another river rise the early part of next week.
I'm glad the weekend is just about here but I doubt I'll get much time for fun
this weekend as I still have a lot to get done by the end of the month which
is tomorrow so that means I'll be working tomorrow for sure and maybe Sunday
as well.
I'm still working on the
Once A Month Association stuff that needs to be done before the end of the month as well,
the newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory, the statements and the
checks done and mailed.
That is one of the largest time consumers that I have to get done at this time
of each month. We are also falling behind with our promotional mailings and I
need to get 2 - 200 piece mailings done by the end of the first week of next
month.
We, Betty and I were working over at the shed yesterday afternoon getting
aluminum cans re-bagged and ready for the recyclers that came this morning and
by gosh if I didn't find another huge groundhog, (woodchuck) hole under the
cans. Geez..... I'm starting to have "flash backs" of my growing up on the
farm when I was a kid! I REALLY do NOT like groundhogs!
There's a story behind this feeling and the story was written up here on March
12th of this year. If you're interested enough to want to read it, (it's
actually pretty funny, now I guess), just click here and scroll down to March
12th:

I'm glad the Democratic
Convention is over, WHEW! I've listened to enough speeches to last me the rest
of the year..... but.... I guess we have it to go through all over again when
the Republication Convention starts again.... More speeches and more "mud
slinging" Are we trying for figure out which one is the best for President, or
which one is the worst NOT to be President? It kind of makes you wonder
sometimes, right?
Well, with a glance around my desk and knowing what's in store for me today
it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Weekend!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania with no rain in the forecast. (At least for
today!)
As I mentioned in yesterday's post The mighty Susquehenna river that runs
through our back yard is on the rise again. I just checked the Penn State
Weather and River Bureau and the river is now at 10.2 feet. (It is usually
between 3.5 and 4.5 feet.)
Last night I pulled the boat up from the river some and I also took the time
to tie up all the vines on my tomato plants. I'm late getting this post up as
I wanted to get pictures and post them up here to give you an idea of just how
scary a river on the rise can look. Just click here for the pictures
that I took this morning,
Photo Gallery 15.
Penn State is calling for a tentative crest tonight at 8PM of around 10 and a
half feet but they are also calling for heavy rains north of us and here over
the weekend. The soil is so saturated with water now, the rain is all running
off into the streams and eventually into the river.
I am now officially on a "tomato watch!"
I'll let you know tomorrow where we stand here at the cottage.... I really
should feel lucky as with all the bad weather we've been having here lately in
Central Pennsylvania some folks have lost their entire homes and ALL of their
possessions! Yes, a heck of a lot more than a few tomato plants and some
inconvenience.
I picked up two more folks for my new program yesterday that called me to find
out more about the program and join. I'm talking about the American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). That means I made an extra $100 yesterday and will make another
$100 in commission each month on these two sales.. I can't wait to see
if I get some more phone calls today about the program! You can click above to
find out all the information and join right on the Internet or you can call
and join or you can Email me for more information and/or my phone number. If
you want me to send you an information packet for the
American Bill Money program, please don't forget to include your name,
address and phone number.. The way this darn thing is growing you may
not want to wait long enough for a mailing package though. It may be best for
you to get started with it immediately! This program is really developing some
nice monthly commission checks for people, what are you waiting for?
As I fiddled around this morning getting pictures and posting them up here,
the day is slipping by so for me, I'd better get back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

There's a big yellow ball
up in the sky! Is it a bird, a plane, no it's the SUN!!! It's been raining so
much here in central Pennsylvania lately that I just didn't recognize it right
off the bat. Well it sure is nice to see it again.
The river that runs through our back yard is rising again.. It's up to
4.7 feet at the moment and supposed to go to 5 feet by tomorrow and 9 feet on
Friday! If it gets to 9 feet I just may lose my tomato plants planted down in
the "lower 40" along the river. I was just down at the river and am
pumping out our boat at this very moment. Some of the wooden skids I had at
the river to walk into it and to our boat are buried under the water. 2 of
them were well weighted and are under there somewhere and hopefully in place,
but one of them that wasn't weighted has already been lost to the river. It
probably floated down the river over night. As soon as I get the boat pumped
out I'll be pulling it up the bank further. I must go down and finish the job
this afternoon.. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble. Also I must
tie up the tomatoes and hope that the water doesn't reach them in the next few
days. Trouble is that they are calling for more rain tonight and tomorrow and
at the moment a 40% chance of rain on Friday. I'll just have to wait and see
and keep my fingers crossed.
This is not a good time for all this trouble as I must get done a mess of
stuff done be the end of this month. (See yesterday's post.) But come to think
of it, when is a good time for trouble?
I did get the rest of our yard mowed yesterday but now the "lower 40" down
along the river needs mowed again. It's hard to keep up with the grass because
of all this rain we're having. Sometimes it's hard to keep our little piece of
heaven carved out of the greenery along the river........ I swear if we
went just one summer without cutting the brush, weeds and grass, it would look
the same as the rest of the scenery and would be lost back into the natural
setting.
I have plenty to keep me busy here in my home office today plus the work I
must do down at the river so for me I guess it's back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's going to be a good day
here in Central Pennsylvania but not for our weather. It's raining cats and
dogs at the moment and has been most of the morning, off and on. Of course the
Penn State weather bureau already has issued small stream flood warnings.. It
seems to be the common thing here lately. We had a wet summer last year and it
looks like a repeat performance for this year!
The month of July is cranking down and I have a ton of stuff to get done by
the end of the month which is this Saturday.
I need to get the
Once A Month Association stuff done before the end of the month as well,
the newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory, the statements and the
checks done and mailed. We're also due for a new issue of our quarterly Dealer
Directory this month so that will have to be written and printed.. Lot's
to get done here.
Also, our Downline builder Phase IV of
$2=SUCCESS for the
Tape of the Month business program ends this month, (we begin Phase V next
month!) So I'll be doing joining packages for that pretty soon, (within the
first week or so of August.)
Yes, this month is going out and the last full month of summer is almost here
already. We must get a new stoker stove purchased and installed before Fall
arrives this year. Our old one is still working fine, but the new ones produce
more heat than ours and we need it here. When it gets really cold our stove
will not keep up with it and we have to burn kerosene heaters to keep the
house warm. Plus, we live right beside the mighty Susquehenna River that's
about a half mile wide where we live and the wind in the winter whips across
that and helps keep our place nice and cold..... So we do need some extra
heat. Actually, when we first bought the stove we have now, about 10 years
ago, it was the biggest one they made. Now, we'll be able to get one that will
be smaller in size and throw off more heat. "That's a good thing", as Martha
would say. Yeah, Martha's still running around but I don't think for too
long...... Betty's grandson, Mike and his family can use our old one so
hopefully Mike will come done and pick it up soon. Mike is the grandson that's
a policeman from upstate Pennsylvania..... Check out his pictures
here.
I'm still playing "catch up" around the office from taking the weekend off and
when I look at my desks..... with the piles.... I think for me it's back
to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a cloudy day here in
Central Pennsylvania for the start of our work week.
Boy! What a weekend! Betty's birthday was Saturday..... or should I say
Betty's birthweek as it usually takes a week to celebrate her birthday!
Her kids had a surprise birthday party for her at her son John's house and
what a party it was. Chicken and steak barbeque with all the fixin's
plus there's nothing better than a family get-together for great conversation
and remembering old times.... Of course, as usual, I'm ahead of
myself..... As some of her kids had to work on Saturday the party wasn't
scheduled until Saturday evening. With this in mind I took her out to the new
Chinese Grand Buffet for lunch. Definitely our favorite place. All of our
Chinese friends knew it was Betty's birthday and were prepared. Jason, the
manager, brought her a beautiful, well written birthday card. Two of the girls
who are waitresses there, Emily and Winnie, came out to sing "Happy Birthday"
to her. Winnie then left for a few minutes to bring Betty a "cake" she had
made in a few minutes with one candle in the middle. VERY nice.... I
went out to the car, got my camera and took pictures of Betty with all the
"kids", manager and owner of the restaurant. Needless to say she had a GREAT
time! We then came home for a few hours before heading to John's house.....
All and all a wonderful day. To quote Betty, "One of the best she's ever had!"
As Betty's sister, Ginny's birthday is today, we went out to her house
yesterday for to exchange gifts and visit...
So we had a great weekend but I got absolutely nothing done around our house
or in my office... Today I'll be playing catch up most of the day. I did
get a good amount of mail on Saturday so I'll also be going through that and
catching up as well.
We don't take any vacations so I guess taking a weekend off won't damage us so
bad that we won't get caught up from taking a weekend off. (I hope!)
I forgot to mention that on Friday I did get out the downline reports for my
2 Bucks for Success downline builder for the
Coin Savers Club. So if you did some recruiting between the 15th of June
and the 15th of July for the
2 Bucks for Success program that comes back to me, (not the one that goes
directly to the company), you will be receiving a downline report from me
today or with in the next couple of days....
As I look at the work on my desks I feel that for me I'd better get to work
now, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. Yes, Friday has
arrived! Here, at our house, in addition to the weekend almost here, Betty's
Birthday is tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a great evening down at her son
John's house. Incidentally, tomorrow also is John's birthday! Both on the same
day! Every year it's John & mom's birthday at John's house..... I'm
looking forward to what John and his wife, Deb have planned for this year..
It's now in the morning here and already we have flash flooding in our area...
It's raining cats and dogs outside and I just heard on the news some streets
that are temporally closed in Harrisburg.
I thought I'd better listen to the news about the roads as Betty and I will be
heading off shortly to the doctor's office. We both have appointments for this
morning. Hers is a follow up from the last appointment about 6 weeks ago and
mine is also but they'll be taking more blood from me for more tests....
I'm not looking forward to that as there are about 3 different nurses take
blood at this offices but there is only one that really does it on the first
stab. The other two sometimes takes several stabs and two different arms until
they finally hit "pay dirt" or in this case "blood"!
I'll be working this afternoon on some mailings and also designing some new
smaller ads for my programs. I love designing ads and I usually have a great
time... but it does take a lot of time.... I use Microsoft's Publisher
to do all of my ads, flyers and newsletters as I think it's the easiest
designing program to use. At least for me it is as I've been using it for
years. There are others out there that are just as good and a lot cheaper but
I hate learning a new program when I don't have to. Just laziness I guess. But
I don't have the extra time to learn one either... You know how that is....
Well, I'm afraid I'll have to cut this post short today as it's almost time to
leave. I do have a couple of things I must do, like get a bank deposit ready,
so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
weekend!!!

Another beautiful morning
here in Central Pennsylvania with temps supposed to be in the 80s, very humid
by this afternoon and thundershowers by this evening. All in all a typical day
for this time of the year.
I arose pretty early this morning, about 5:30 AM as I had trouble sleeping
most of the night. When I was younger I used to get up every morning at that
time and be at work by 6:30 AM. Well, apparently those days are over as I can
feel it already and it's only 7:30... I know my butt will be dragging by
this afternoon. It seems like lately unless I get at least 7 hours of sleep
I'm in a miserable condition. Thank goodness I work at home as if I get too
darn tired, I can always take a nap.
I'm running a bit late getting out the downline reports for my
2 Bucks for Success downline builder but as it looks they should be done
this morning and going out in the mail this afternoon. If you have "recruited"
anyone into your $2 downline between June 15th and July 15th that the
paperwork came to me for processing, you will receive a downline report in a
few days. I hope you have signed a slew of them as the more you get into your
$2 downline, the more will be signed into the main program under you.
Last week I mailed out over 400 postcards for the new program I joined,
American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). I've still been trying to mail out at least 20 to 50 a day by
first class mail. Hopefully my efforts will soon show some action.
In The News........
I see the 911 commission has finally finished their report on what really
happened to allow that fateful day to even happen and it's actually shocking!
They, the commission, concludes that a "failure of imagination," not
governmental neglect allowed 19 hijackers to carry out the deadliest terrorist
attack in U.S. history. The panel calls for an intelligence overhaul to
confront an al-Qaida organization intent on striking again. A "failure of
imagination".... looks to me like it took quite an "imagination" to
come up with such a stupid excuse!!!
Did you EVER hear more of a pile of CRAP in your life!
ALL of the hijackers who crashed the plane into the Pentagon, or I
should say 4 of them set off the alarms at the Dulles airport before they
boarded the plane and where STILL allowed to board and carry out their
horrendous deed!
In April of the same year of the 911 incident a man went to the FBI offices
and told them that the terrorists where planning to crash planes into
buildings and even named names! The FBI blew him off even though he did pass a
lie detector test! Talk about incompetence! Has these people been fired? No,
to the best of my knowledge, not one person has been fired that was supposed
to be responsible for "protecting" us and our country... Not one......
Even when the FBI found out 2 of the terrorists that were on their "list" as
dangerous knew that they were entering our country before the attacks and did
absolutely nothing, but allow them in!
It took 20 months to assemble the 575-page report and what good is it? No one
is being punished or going to be punished or even a "wrist slap" or two should
be in order.
In my humble opinion, another complete waste of tax payers money!
Now, after all this, the government is talking about setting up yet another
government agency to control the agencies that now have security control over
the airports. Does that sound like BIG government or what? Another agency to
control an agency that ALREADY exists! Yep more red tape for people to go
through, that sure should take care of the situation, right?
If you'd like to check out more of this massive report of incompetence the 911
commission even has it's own website and you can check it out here:
www.9-11commission.gov/
When I think back that our ancestors rebelled from England that really began
over a tax on tea for gosh sakes. Now we're taxed on just about everything and
on a lot of items we're taxed by the Federal AND the State
governments! I find it hard to believe that we Americans are letting a
bunch of incompetents run our country and our lives!
Hey, if you agree or disagree with me drop me an email.... I love to hear what
other regular folks like me think about what's happening around us!
I have a lot to get done today... I'm still working to get caught up before
the weekend gets here and Betty's birthday on Saturday so for me it's back to
work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's a beautiful
morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania! It is supposed
to get very hot and humid this afternoon so I think we WILL need our air
conditioners on this afternoon.
I just received my latest copy of the
Biz-ness Gazette a
home business opportunity tabloid style magazine. This issue is chock full of
helpful home business articles plus many, many advertised opportunities. The
latest issue is 40 pages of great opportunities and articles. If you'd like to
have a look at a real good business opportunity magazine you can get a 3 month
FREE subscription by just clicking here:
Biz-ness Gazette.
The publication is published by Danny Meehan. Danny is one of the great guys
in home business. When sending for your FREE 3 month subscription don't
forget to mention to Danny that you heard about his publication from me,
Chuck.....
I received another bad check back from my bank yesterday. Considering how many
checks I take in, I really don't get that many back but every time I get one
it still irks me. This particular check was for $2 yeah, just 2 bucks and it
bounced. The bank charged me an extra $6 for paperwork because it bounced and
now the $2 check has become an $8 debt. I did reach the person who gave it to
me on the phone and they promised to send me the $8. I told them I'd mail back
their bad check when I received it. I can see why stores put up signs with
notices on that they charge $25 or more dollars for bounced checks as it does
take up time contacting the party involved, sometimes more than once, and then
the extra time and trouble with the books and the whole mess. In my case, I
must fix the books, my check book, take the time to find their telephone
number, (and if I can't I must write them a letter), sometimes call two or
more times to reach them, then when if and when I do get the money back to
cover the original check and bank charge, address an envelope and place
postage on it and mail it to the bouncer. All this for $2 bucks that I really
wasn't making that much on to start with. Yep, I've had more real small checks
bounce than I've had larger ones. The thing I really hate is listening to the
excuses. One guy went on and on about exactly how much he made a month and how
much he paid out and how hard it was to pay his bills... (Like he's the only
one who's had to scrape to do that!) I finally said to him, "If money is that
tight for you, you should have never sent the 2 bucks to me to start with. You
can't afford any information about starting a home business." What you really
need is a part time job! He didn't like my suggestion and hung up on me...
Oh well..... and time goes on..
Speaking of time.... I do have a pile of stuff that's backing up on my desks
to get done so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful day here
in Central Pennsylvania! Looks like we're finally in for a dry one! That's
just fine with me as we've had enough rain here lately to last us for awhile
into the summer....
I'm looking forward to taking my laptop out on the deck this morning and
working from out there for a few hours. It's just so nice out I'd like
to take advantage of it before it heats up too much this afternoon. I have a
100 foot networking line to come into the office and plug into my networking
hub so I'll be connected to my other 2 computers and all the printers so it
will be no problem working from there.
I also want to mention that if you need any kind of software, books or
whatever, before you run to your local store check out
Ebay. I know... there are some scams
running on Ebay I'm sure... You get
several million people selling things and some scum bags will turn up, but all
and all, most of the deals are honest... About 99% or more I'd say. At
any rate for the past couple of weeks I've been getting a warning that my
Norton Anti-Virus yearly update subscription is running out on August the 2nd.
I could renew my subscription by downloading the renewal number for $20 +
tax..... However, I'd then have version 2003 Norton Anti-Virus with
another year's subscription. I usually try to buy the next year's version, in
this case it would be Norton Anti-Virus 2004. I'll then get another year of
up-dates, plus all the new "bells and whistles!" The last couple of years I've
been getting my new edition at Sam's Club. Almost always the cost is about $40
and they offer a $20 rebate so it ends up costing about the same as the
updates... This year, however, no such deal... No rebate... so if I want
the new model it would cost me the full $39.95 plus tax... So off to
Ebay I go.. Last week I made a bid on
one and listed my top bid. Unfortunately the auction ran out in the middle of
the night and I lost it.
This week I went to Ebay again and ran a
search and found a company that had quite a few and were selling them for a
flat $14.95 + insurance + shipping. The insurance was $1.50 the shipping was
about $4.00 so the whole thing cost me a little over $20.00 bucks! My point is
that if you want anything don't forget to check out
Ebay first unless you need the item
immediately, then you'll have to pay the going rate at your local store..
It's easy to set up an account on Ebay and
it's all confidential... So If you haven't shopped there yet.... give it a
try, you'll like it... Oh, I almost forgot to mention, you'll get your
order shipped right to your door! In this day and age with the price of
gasoline, that alone could amount to several dollars....
I received a nice commission check from my
Six Figure Income program
yesterday. This company now has millions of men and women in 190 countries all
over the world in it. It's a company that is growing each and every moment and
does truly have people making you money and buying your products while you are
sleeping. You can join for FREE and take a FREE Internet Income
Course and sign up for a FREE newsletter. If you decide that you want
to become more involved and carve out your own niche in the company, you'll

here are a few of mine,

Distance Telephone Service,

How to Get
Customers to Call, Buy and Beg for More,

company web sites... Every time someone buys from one of these sites I
get a commission and sometimes I receive an on-going commission each month
after the original purchase! This program is GREAT! It also has more company
help than most and has neat tools to contact your downlines etc....
Something you can run on the side and won't conflict with any of your other
programs....
Well, I been rambling along here for awhile and I have a ton of stuff that
needs to be done before I go on my daily trip to the Post Office so for me
it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's looks like it may warm
up a little more than it has in the last few days here in Central Pennsylvania
this morning. I think we set a record yesterday of a temperature lower than 74
in Harrisburg. I don't think we even reached 70 here in Dauphin along the
river. They claim it was the coldest day since 1903, a little over 100 hundred
years ago! Wow! We just hung mostly in the house yesterday and me mostly in my
office.
There wasn't even that much action on the river yesterday. It seems like the
cooler weather really surprised everyone.. There were a few canoe trips
that passed by going down the river. Not that many fisherman out though.
In The News.............
Well, Martha Stewart got 5 months hard time and 30 thousand dollars
fine. Whew! Boy, do I feel better now that they're going to lock up Martha
Stewart. I can now sleep in peace. I won't have to be afraid of Martha
breaking into my house and hurting someone or attacking someone on the street.
The judge said that she must be punished. Yes, I agree, but as I've said
before lets reserve our jail space for people who are an actual threat to
society. I think a much stiffer fine and perhaps confinement to her home would
be more in order as punishment.
I've read and seen on TV many times how states are forced to let hardened
criminals out of jail early as they are out of space to house them. I think
I'd personally feel safer with those folks in prison rather than Martha
Stewart! Yes, we can ALL sleep better now......
Now, to some mail order business.... I was under the impression that
George McGuire was out of the mail order business. He used to publish the
"huge" Word Of Mouth Newsletter. Apparently he's not out of business
completely. He has just cut way back on his activities... I received a
complimentary copy of his latest mailing. He still publishes a newsletter but
now it's only 2 pages... Front and back... however it is still a great read
and a look at what's happening in the mail order field of small dealers. Still
well worth the read.. I'm not sure just what he deals in anymore as
there were a few other circulars and ad sheets in the mailing but no ads from
George himself. He did mention the subscription rates for his publication
though, $10 per year for at least 12 issues. You can however order a sample
copy for only a buck though. Send your request and a buck to: George McGuire,
759 Rt. 25, Stuyvesant, NY 12173.
We did get off two large mailings at the end of last week and I'm already
working on the next one... I have to keep those direct mailings going
out to sign up new affiliates into my programs. I guess with that and the rest
of the work on my desks, I'd better get back to work and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. It's nice and cool
here this morning in Central Pennsylvania with a temperature of only 68
degrees. We have a chance for rain this afternoon but all and all it looks
like we're in for a very nice day!
Looks like we're in for a great weekend weather wise here in our area also. At
least until Sunday when they're calling for lots of rain... Maybe
Summer's over and we're reverting back to Spring? I hope the rain slacks off a
bit and let's the folks in
Campbelltown Pennsylvania have some time to clean up from the tornado day
before yesterday. That would be a nice gesture from Mother Nature.
I just checked my SFI
status on my company websites and it looks like I'll be receiving another nice
commission check from SFI
in a day or so. I think I get more from this program than just about any other
MLM business I'm involved in. Maybe not more money than the
Coin Savers Club,
which is one of my top earners, but more help, products and just plain
enjoyment.
I'll be working today on mailing out at least another 50 first class
promotional mailings for the new program I just joined Saturday before last,
the American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). I'm pushing the heck out of this one to get it to a paying
situation and to also have it develop into a nice monthly check fast. This is
actually one of the simplest programs that I promote. It's not multi-level but
a straight commission program. What makes it unique is the fact that you sell
it one time, but then collect $50 a month commissions there after. I'm going
to like this one as I've already nicknamed it my "Gasoline to hell with the
price" program. I want to make so much with this program I won't care what
they raise the darn cost of gas to. I just won't let it worry me any more. I
know that sounds stupid.... but this up and down gas prices, (most up), just
bugs the heck out of me. It's just so darn expensive to drive anywhere. I just
want to stop worrying about it, period.
I hope you're about ready for your weekend, I know I have a good bit to get
done here in the office before mine starts and on that note for me it's back
to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

Finally, a beautiful sunny
day here in Central Pennsylvania. The humidity is low and it's about 72 at the
moment.. Just gorgeous!
Last night we had some real bad storms here in Central Pennsylvania.. It was
bad here but nothing compared to a town about 20 miles from us where a tornado
touched down and completely destroyed an entire housing development. The only
good thing about the catastrophe was that it came through early enough to
strike before most of the people had returned home from work. Quite a few were
hurt but thank goodness no one was killed! Headlines:
(Storm Slams Mid-State) An exciting day to say the least!
Be careful of any programs that you download especially if they are FREE
programs. Many have spy ware in them and will cause havoc with your computer.
I downloaded one last week and boy it was a nightmare. Every time I went from
one site to another I received at least one pop up ad and sometimes up to four
of them! It completely "overrode" my pop up blocker. So I went to my control
panel to "dump" this plague and discovered that it was not even mentioned in
my program removal utility. I ran a search and deleted most of the files that
I could find. My computer than began to get slower and slower. Trying to open
up any program started to take a long time.... It was really getting to
me.. Then I remembered the "System Restore" feature on Windows XP. I opened
that and chose a restore day 2 days before I did my stupid download. I then
ran the System Restore for that day. My computer came back to where it used to
be and is running like a top. (Knock on wood) However, this was after spending
almost 2 days messing with it off and on.. What a mess. Check out Kim
Komando's site for links to Spy ware free software at:
www.komando.com
For a Wednesday I received a nice bag of mail yesterday. So much in fact that
I still have not finished sorting it all, let along doing anything with it. So
with that in mind... for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have

It's another cloudy, rainy
day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Looks like it's
going to be that way most of the day so I'll be in my office working most of
the day.
I received an email from one of my mail order friends this morning, Colleen
Kennedy, (CHA SERVICES) in Oregon, inquiring about the Inter Circle
organization and the lady who runs it, Sheila Yeomans. It seems that Colleen
has had some mail returned from Sheila marked, undeliverable. Come to think of
it I haven't received my bi-monthly newsletter in a while. If any of you have
heard anything or know what the hold up is I'd appreciate it if you'd drop me
an email. chuck@homebucks.com I know
Sheila was having some medical problems there for awhile but I didn't think
they were that serious.
I am sending Sheila an email at the home of Inter Circle and also at her
personal address and maybe I'll be able to contact her that way.
In The News.........
MAN JAILED AFTER SHOOTING SELF IN GROIN....
SHEFFIELD, England - A man who shot himself in the groin after drinking 15
pints of beer and stuffing a sawed-off shotgun down his trousers was jailed
for five years Tuesday for illegal possession of a firearm.
David Walker, 28, underwent surgery after the March 6th incident in Dinnington,
northern England. Tests were continuing to learn if Walker would be left
infertile, his lawyer Gulzar Syed said.
"He still feels quite severe pain," Syed told Sheffield Crown Court, adding
that some pellets still were lodged in Walker's groin area.
Walker had admitted on charge of possession of a prohibited firearm at a
previous hearing. Prosecuting lawyer Andrew Hatton told the court Walker had
gone home to get the shotgun after arguing in the pub with lifelong friend
Stuart Simpson about whose turn it was to buy a beer. As he was returning to
the pub, which had closed by then, he accidentally fired the weapon. "He had
it shoved down his trousers," Hatton said. "After the shotgun had discharged
he placed it in a rubbish bin and crawled back to his home." Walker told
officers he was so drunk he had no idea how he managed to shoot himself and
why he had gone home for the gun.
Judge Robert Moore said recent legislation regarding banned weapons meant he
had to impose the statutory five-year minimum sentence. "The shooting of
yourself is plainly an exceptional circumstance which is capable of reducing
the sentence," Moore said. "But in this case, I am quite certain, it does not
justify reducing it below the statutory minimum."
------------- I thought you'd get a kick out of this story.... Remember,
England is another country that has stripped it's citizenry of firearms. The
guy's doing 5 years for having the gun... not for being so stupid!
I do have a lot to get caught up on, here in the office today, so for me it's
back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!

It's a cloudy day here in
Central Pennsylvania and we're looking for rain off and on all day. Even with
all the rain we received yesterday plus what we're supposed to get today the
weather bureau in State College is only calling for a few inches rise in the
mighty Susquehenna River that runs through our back yard. That makes me feel
much better...
I did receive a large amount of mail yesterday and am still sifting through
it.. Lot's to work on today and as it looks like I won't be getting thing done
out doors today so I'll have plenty of time to work on these things in the
office today.
I also want to get out at least 50 first class mailings today for the new
program I've just joined, American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). I want to "push" this program into a good profit situation by the
end of this month. I'll let you know how it's working out as we go along
throughout the month.
Betty and I went out to the Chinese Grand Buffet in Harrisburg and had a great
lunch yesterday. After that I went shopping for a new "Weed Wacker" as mine
has finally bit the dust after about 10 years of use. It's a shame to toss it
as the engine does run good but it needs and new gas tank and a valve and some
new gas lines. At today's prices for everything it's hardly worth fixing up.
This time I bought an electric job instead of a gasoline powered one. I can
reach just about anywhere in our yard with an extra long electric cord so I
thought it would be best. It's a lot lighter to work with, I don't have to
worry about mixing gas and oil for it and filling it up and keeping the engine
tuned up. With an electric one you just hang it up in the garage and when you
need it, pull it down and plug it in and bingo, you're ready to go to work! A
lot easier and simpler. They did carry one that was re-chargeable and it was
pretty cool. However, now were getting back into the weight as it's almost
double the weight as the one I bought, plus every couple of years I imagine
you would have to buy a new battery for the darn thing. No, I'd just as soon
take the time to plug an electric cord in, un wind it and I'm ready to go. ---
Anyway, I'll have to wait until it stops raining around here to try it.
After yesterday I do have a small back load of $2 entries for both of my
downline builders,
$2=SUCCESS and
2 Bucks for Success, so for me I'd better get back to work and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

Whoa, we're off to a brand
new work week and it's literally pouring rain outside! It has been now for
almost an hour. They, the weather bureau, already has put up warnings of
flooding and flash flooding so it looks like we're in for an exciting day. We
won't have to worry about flooding right here, along the mighty Susquehenna
River that flows through our back yard, right away. This river is so big it
usually takes a couple of days before it begins to flood even after a
hurricane goes through the area. I'm not saying that we're getting enough rain
for that, (all depends how much rain they are getting up river), but I will be
keeping my eye on the river reports for the next couple of days, and I'll also
be dragging my "skids" in from the river some. I lay skids down at the river
to walk on to get to our boat when I have it in and was just preparing for the
boat over the week end by getting the skids in. Now, I'll have to pull them
back up the river bank some.. Oh well, you never know.
Betty and I did get a lot done over the weekend. I finished all the printing
for several of our mailings and Betty got three large ones assembled and they
just about ready to go to the post office. I must weigh them, do the paper
work and write the checks and THEN they are ready to load into the Jeep.
We did a mailing of 200 pieces for Betty's position in the
Tape of the Month program's
$2=SUCCESS
downline builder, plus, her position in the
Coin Savers Club program's
2 Bucks for Success downline builder. We also did one each of the same for
my positions in the same, plus we prepared a 400 piece mailing for the new
program I joined Saturday a week ago,
American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). Wow! did I say we were very busy over the weekend. All that
"stuff" will be in today's mail.
I should get a pretty good size mail box full of mail today as it's Monday. I
do have pretty much to do with the other mailings before I head to the post
office so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
day!!!

T.G.I.F. - Friday
already.... I love these short work weeks. It's a gorgeous morning here
in Central Pennsylvania with low humidity and in the lower 70s at the moment.
We're going to eat breakfast out on the deck. That's just fine with me as the
view out there of the river is fantastic.
I'm looking forward to a good weekend. I think tomorrow we're going to try and
get to some yard sales. Actually we should be holding our own yard sale as I
keep buying and dragging treasures home only to fine out later that I don't
really need them. I do have a lot of computer books and software and also
movies VHS and DVD that I don't really look at any more. I guess I'll sell
them on Ebay. I've never sold anything on Ebay, but everyone keeps telling me
how easy it is. I wouldn't mind getting rid of some of this stuff and maybe
getting a few bucks for it as well. Maybe over the weekend I'll take some time
to check it out.
I received my Welcome Kit which includes my names and addresses plus postcards
for the new company I joined last Friday, American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766). A very impressive package and really nice, full color post cards..
I'm already working on a big mailing for it but right away I'm getting out
some first class mailings to some friends that don't have computers that want
to see what it's all about. Hopefully by next Friday I'll have some
commissions coming. They pay commissions out every Friday so it doesn't take
long to find out how the mailings are doing! My sponsor, the school teacher
from New York is in his words, "Already making well over $5,000 a month!" I'll
be satisfied if I can hustle $500 the first month. If I can get there, I'll
work then to set my goals for the 5 grand a month. That may just take a bit
longer... I like this program as it pays very quickly and you can invest
your earnings right back into mailings to build the business. It saves from
financing the entire campaign out of your own pocket.
The mail was on the light side yesterday but I have a lot of printing to get
done for all of my programs before my weekend begins so for me it's back to
work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's nice and sunny outside
right now and looks like we're in for another very warm day here in Central
Pennsylvania.
It turned out to be a pretty good day here yesterday as I stayed in the office
just about the entire day catching up on things.. The mail volume didn't
amount to much yesterday at all. This should be a good indication to you folks
out there that have a full or part time business in the mail order field that
Summer is NOT the time of the year to slack off with your mailings. Looks like
people will have more time to open and study your offers if you send them now
rather than send them when everyone else is mailing.. I know today Betty
and I will be working on getting some mailings ready. I have three that I'd
like to get out before this week is over.. I can't wait to see my results.
They should be pretty good as I won't have that much competition! Should you
"do" the mail order business in the Summer time? Check out an article I wrote
on the subject a few years ago.
DOES IT PAY TO OPERATE A
MAIL ORDER BUSINESS IN THE SUMMER? At times I get more business this time
of the year than I do in January!
I don't want to count my "chickens" before they're hatched but I do think I'm
in the clear with the pesky
groundhog that
decided to take up residence under my office last month. I filled in his
entrance hole last week and sure enough it is STILL filled in. Hopefully I've
seen the last of him, at least right here at my office. There is still one
living under my shed in the yard though and he's pretty active. He has now
burrowed through the wooden floor of the shed and each time I go in it more
earth is covering everything. I went to get the lawnmower the other day and he
even had soil all over that. Boy, these ground hogs ARE a "Pain in the Ass"
aren't they?
In The News......
I was reading the morning paper and it looks like now that my state of
Pennsylvania has passed their budget, (joke, joke), they have to decide what
to do with all of the money they have "created".... Isn't that
ridiculous? Should the spend $14.9 million for a National Center for Civil War
Studies at the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg? (Now that to me sounds
like top priority, right?) The civil war has been over for almost 150 years
and we must fund a study of it..... What???? There has been so many "studies"
of what happened at each and every battle of the civil war seems to me if they
want to know about it all they have to do is buy a book! Heck, I'll kick in
the cost of the book and they can save the $14.9 million!
Oh they also are taking $20 million of the new "budget" for a new museum and
visitors center at Gettysburg National Military Park. Here we go with the
civil war again.. For gosh's sake, give it a break! Or there is the $12
million they want to use to renovate Gettysburg's Majestic Theatre. Boy that
has to be another top priority!!! Or $7.5 million to develop a
Pennsylvania State Police Historical Education & Memorial Center in Derry
Twp.. I'll bet our state cops would sooner want a raise!
And it goes on and on...... Our legislators just don't have enough to
keep themselves busy passing laws... after all just how many laws can you pass
after years of abusing that privilege? Maybe that's why they have so much time
on their hands to decide how to waste more of our tax dollars.... I'm sure
that Pennsylvania is not an isolated case as far as government waste at the
state level is prevalent.
Well, that's either my news for today or my rant for today.... take your
choice....
For me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Thursday!!!

It's another sunny day here
in Central Pennsylvania with some "thunder boomers" predicted by the end of
the day.
It's hard to believe that it's the middle of the week already but these kind
of weeks really fly by when we celebrate a holiday on Mondays.
The nice part about it is that yesterday brought a large pile of mail at the
post office and I'm still sifting through it. Lots of sorting and filling
orders to get done.
I also have a ton of names to key into my mailing list that is quickly getting
"out of hand". I'm starting to fill a box. If I let them go any longer I'll
never get them caught up.. I will be working on a mailing campaign today for
the American Bill Money program,
(ID #3766), that I just joined on Saturday and also must get a mailing
together for the
$2=SUCCESS and
2 Bucks for Success programs so my day will really be full!
Not much happening on the River today however, I still may take my laptop out
to the deck to do some work as I just love working in the outdoors.
With all that in mind, I'm afraid this will be a short post today so I can get
back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

A brand new beginning for
the work week. A short one but a work week nonetheless. It's really beautiful
here in Central Pennsylvania and the weather is the best today. Although our
weekend holiday was extremely hot and humid it seems that overnight a cold
front has moved in, the warm front moved out and has taken a lot of the
humidity with it. Yep, we're in for a Beautiful day!
I hope you had a GREAT holiday weekend and you and yours are safe and sound.
We didn't go anywhere as we kind of figured there was enough traffic on the
highways without us. Besides that there was plenty of action on the river to
entertain us and plenty to get done around here. We could work outdoors in the
morning and late evenings but through the day was just too darn hot and humid
for us. Sunday was very windy most of the day but I did cook out on the deck
yesterday and we watched the action on the river... Plenty of canoe trips,
boats with fisherman and people tubing down the river. Everyone looked like
they were have a wonderful time.
I keep forgetting but I did want to mention that the
groundhog that
had dug a huge hole at the corner of my office for his home has not re-dug it
back up since I filled it in about a week ago. Hopefully he has found a new
place to live. At least I hope so... I have my fingers crossed.
Over the last year I have been so successful promoting my 2 downline builders,
$2=SUCCESS and
2 Bucks for Success that I have not even thought of joining or becoming a
distributor for another program, UNTIL I received a call from a friend of mine
on Saturday morning. This friend is the same fellow that I had joined the
Tape of the Month program under. Believe it or not he's a school teacher
in the state of New York... He became a distributor for this program at
the end of January of this year. He is now making
over $5,000 dollars a month or to quote him exactly, "Way over $5,000
dollars a month!"
Normally I'd just tell him like I always say, right now I don't have the time
or money to promote another program but when I think that in only a half of a
year he is making that kind of money I just had to find out more about the
program. Surprisingly it is NOT an MLM program but more of a straight
commission program that is paid monthly on each of your "customers" buying the
product each and every month! You make a monthly commission of $50 each on
your personal customers! No wonder this dude is making that kind of money!
He patched me in (by a three way), to the Testimonial 800 number and I
listened to what other folks are saying about their experience with the
program. I recognized some of the names and voices. Apparently this is quite
an opportunity. Needless to say before we ended our conversation he patched me
in to the signup number and I joined the company immediately. Although I'm
still working my other two programs and WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, I don't think
it's going to take a whole lot more of my time to do this one as well..... If
you'd like to get all the scoop of what I'm talking about, you can get a
complete overview of the program by calling a toll free number,
1-800-238-7702. This won't take much of
your time as it's only a 3 minute call but the program is so simple that's all
that's needed. Also if you'd like to hear what others are saying about this
opportunity dial another toll free number,
1-800-632-0739. This call only lasts about 3 and a half minutes as
well. If you'd like to read the entire story go to the company web site here:
www.americanbillmoney.com If
you get excited about this opportunity as I did and would like to join it
online at the site don't forget to use my sponsor number # 3766.
The phone number to call and join is: (757) 455-3551 - This is only a
number to join and they cannot answer any questions about the company. This is the first I've mentioned this program
to anyone! You may want to get in right away with me get busy on this one! If
you want to contact me personally, my contact information is on the front page
of my website at: www.homebucks.com or
you can email me at: chuck@homebucks.com

It's going to be another
sunny summer day here in Central Pennsylvania!
T.G.I.F. Yes, Friday has arrived and for most of us we're in for a long
weekend. Although Independence Day is on Sunday most folks will have Monday
off as well. I was going to work, (and I probably will get some things done),
but my Computer wants the day off. Thank goodness I have a couple of more
computers to back that one up so I guess this one will have it's wish... (Do
you think I may have tipped over the edge a bit?)
I'm still working to get my
boat in the river
as I want to do a little fishing over the weekend and now I'm hung up as I
need a couple of clips, fasteners, that no one seems to carry. I guess I'll
have to improvise and use bolts... I have the boat license but just
realized that I don't have a fishing license as of yet... so I'll pick that up
tomorrow.... It used to be that all you needed to go fishing was some
gear and the time.... Now, it seems that until your done getting out your
wallet, you're better off to stay home! At any rate that's some of my plans
for the holiday weekend.
Betty and I pretty much plan on staying around the house and the river over
the weekend as the roads will be full of drinking idiots... If you must
travel at all please drive defensively. You'll have to be at full alert this
weekend on the highways.. I want to see you back here on Tuesday.
I have quite a bit to get done today before my holiday weekend starts.....
I hope you're about ready as well.. Take care this weekend, drive safely
and have a GREAT Independence Day!!!!!!!

Another absolutely gorgeous
day here in Central Pennsylvania.
The beginning of a brand new month. This is going to be a great month for
business and pleasure as I can feel it in my bones! Come to think of it I feel
everything in my bones lately. If we're going to have rainy weather, I feel it
in my bones. When I get out of bed, I feel it in my bones.... Yeah, I'm more
aware than I've ever been in my life that I have bones....
We did finish the
Once A Month Association stuff yesterday and all will be going out in this
morning's mail. So... if you're expecting a commission check from the OAMA you
should be receiving it in the next couple of days.
Wow, that's a job I glad that's done for the month.
As I was working on the OAMA
stuff all day yesterday, I didn't even get my mail opened at all let alone
sorted etc. so I'm in for a lot of work this morning before my daily trip to
the post office. I hate letting the mail get back at all as once it does it
can be very hard to get caught up with it. As most of my business comes
through the mail it's usually my number one priority as I want to keep my
customers and colleagues pleased. So after I post this daily I'll get started
on the mail.
Betty and I worked so late last night that we decided to watch a video movie
that I had rented from our local library. The title was S.W.A.T. with Samuel
Jackson and Colin Farrell. It's a pretty good movie with lots of action and I
was really getting into it when I glanced over at Betty and she was sound
asleep.. Just too late for the movie so I shut it down. This morning we
both got up a little early so we decided to finish the movie.. (Had to
back it up some to get what Betty missed but it turned out to be a good
movie.) Our local library in Harrisburg at the beginning of last month
upped their prices on a lot of things including movie rentals. They used to
run $1.50 each and you can keep them for a week.... they are now $2.00 with
the same terms.. Still not a bad price......
I guess I better get back to work as I want to get a lot wrapped up before the
weekend gets here tomorrow and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Thursday.
