It's another beautiful day
here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It's even better if I
wear VERY warm clothing. As I write this post it's 16 degrees above 0
outdoors. It's a beautiful sunny day but a very cold one as we're still in a
cold spell here in the east. Looks like we're going to stay in one for awhile
too. Well, this is just about the end of January and February will begin on
Sunday. Another month closer to Spring! That's okay with me as I've had enough
cold and snow, that's for sure.
With the end of the month here, that means lots of work to be done here at the
office. I must get all of the end of the month "stuff" done for the
Once A Month Association. This means the Monthly Member Benefit Directory,
the monthly Newsletter, Downline and commission statements, and of course
commission checks. This all must be done by the last day of the month. That's
tomorrow.... I'll probably be starting on everything this afternoon.
We've pretty much been hanging at home and the office here as Betty has been
recuperating from her dental work.
But either way, I'm going to have to take some time this afternoon to do some
shopping and stock up on some office supplies. I don't necessarily like going
shopping on a Friday afternoon but it seems I have no choice as we are getting
very low on everything including food. I can put some stuff off but I do like
my food so it's a definite. This afternoon will be for shopping!
My commission check is due today from The
Tape of the Month program and I'm really looking forward to see what the
amount is. This check will have our "raise" on it. The program went up to $25
a month from $20 but it doesn't matter as my first level of members still
cover my $25 a month company purchase. But now I get a 50˘ raise on each of my
other members down through 5 more levels. That's probably going to add up to a
nice raise of several hundred dollars! This is the program that I run the
$2= $SUCCE$$ program for. I've
been in it about a year and my monthly check is pretty nice. Of course I'm
still building and expect by this time next year the check to be more than
double of what it is now!
Yesterday I received over 30 applications for the
$2 Buck Downline Builder that
I run to build the
Coin Savers Club. I
must get them done this morning so I can get them in today's mail. So with
that in mind, and the weekend here, I think it's time I got back to work, and
YOU, YOU have a GREAT Weekend!!!!!

WOW! It's a beautiful sunny
day here in Central Pennsylvania. It's already 24 degrees and supposed to go
all the way to 30 above today. With the ice on the river and snow everywhere,
it is beautiful.
I didn't receive a whole lot of mail yesterday and I think it may be because
of the weather here, in the east. I know that if everyone else are having
problems on the highways so it stands to reason that the mail trucks may be
running slow as well.
I did receive my monthly
MoneyPak from SFI, (Six
Figure Income) yesterday and the booklet was missing as well as the CD ROM
disk inside was broken in half! I've been getting this
Home Business Entrepreneurs
monthly training & resources pak for the
International Association
of Home Business Entrepreneurs for almost 2 years and this is the first
time that it has come through damaged. Heck who knows, maybe the Mail Truck
that it was on was in a wreck. Thank goodness I can still download everything
on the disk from my website and I have a high speed Internet connection. I
really look forward to these disks each month. There is a ton of information
in them and I always get new ideas each time I get one.
Well, I've had my new cell phone and service for almost a month now and I can
honestly say that I just love it. I ordered it from
Veriuni's Wireless Solutions.
They are affiliated with several carriers and it all depends on what's
available in your area. I chose Cingular Wireless as I like the "roll over" of
the unused minutes each month. With the plan I chose I got a brand new phone,
(you get a choice of 5 or 6 different ones). I got a Sony Ericsson with a
color screen and tons of options including internet and email service. With my
plan I get 600 "prime time" minutes including long distance, and also 5,000
night and weekend minutes that also include long distance. If I use less than
600 minutes a month whatever is left gets "rolled over" to the next month, so
I never lose my unused minutes! I also received, when I signed up, 500 bonus
prime time minutes! (That's over 8˝ hours of FREE minutes, including long
distance! I love the little Sony Ericsson phone as I've almost went an
entire week without recharging! All this for only $39.95 a month. I've been
buying long distance phone cards from Sam's Club (about 3˘ a minute) for some
time now and I've been spending about $20 a month for 600 minutes. With my new
Veriuni's Wireless Solutions
phone access I get that long distance, (and then some, 5,000 night and
weekend), plus I get a cell phone service. If I look at it that way, I figure
that I've getting the Cell phone service for only about $19.95 a month!
I received this month's commission check from the
Coin Savers Club. It's
up around $160 from last month's check! Yep it's getting bigger all the time.
The new promotional site for the
$9.95 program is really helping sign up members!
I've been saving my coin vouchers and I just sent for a ton of coins this
week. Can't wait 'til they get here!
Woops, I'm rambling on again... By the looks of the work on my desks,
I'd better wrap up today's post and get back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's going to be a good day
to get things done, here at my home office, as we did get more snow last night
and looks like we're here until we get plowed out.. (Probably this afternoon.)
Not too bad though, as it could have been worse. We are getting some
sun today although it's only supposed to reach around 25 above today. Actually
that's better than it has been so I guess I should be happy. Come to think of
it, I AM happy!
I stopped at the library the other day and rented 6 movies so we'll have
plenty of entertainment even if the cable goes out. We don't have a local
library here in Dauphin, we mostly use the one in Harrisburg. We use that one
a lot.... They have a lot of neat "stuff" at the library. Also, they get
in a lot of the latest movies. Sometimes you have to "wait in line" to get a
copy, but usually that doesn't take too long. It only costs $1.50 each to rent
them and you get to keep them for an entire week! That's a great deal! I
rented 6 movies, fairly late ones, for an entire week for only $9 bucks! You
can't beat that with a stick! Next time you're near your local library, stop
in and check it out, most of them now carry not only tapes but DVD's as well.
We rent both, whatever has the movie on that we're looking for. They also
carry a ton of classic movies.... Our main problem is that sometimes I
go nuts and rent too many so we can't find the time to watch them until they
are due. If that's the worse problem we have, though, we're in good shape.
This month is drawing to a close real fast and I have a ton of stuff to catch
up on and get done before it ends.... so on that note...... it's back to work
for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

It's another GREAT day here
in Central Pennsylvania!!! Looks like we had somewhat of an "ice storm"
over night. In the last week we've had two snowfalls and now an "ice" storm.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... Do you think mother nature is trying to tell us
something? Well, apparently that's not the end of it as we are supposed to get
another snow storm starting around 6 PM this evening! To add to that, again
it's not supposed to reach much more the 20 above in these parts, again
today... Brrrrrrrrrrr.... This is just about the longest cold spell I can
remember.... I remember we used to get a lot more snowstorms and bigger
ones, when I was a kid, but it never was it this cold for this long.... at
least not in my memory....
As I sit in my office and look out doors I don't see anything alive moving..
It's like all of the animals and birds are holed up somewhere waiting for a
break in the weather. I've come to the conclusion that the best thing about
winter, here in central Pennsylvania, is that there are no bugs to bother you.
I REALLY don't like bugs and at least they are out of commission in the
winter.... "A good thing," as Martha Stewart would say.
Yesterday was a GREAT day for mail as usual and it took me until late last
evening to get it all opened and sorted. Just when I think I'm just about
caught up another batch of work comes in. "Ain't it GREAT!" I'd sooner be busy
than sitting here twiddling my thumbs, that's for sure!
We've got only a few more days until the latest Phase II for
$2= $SUCCE$$, our downline
builder for the Tape Of The Month program, ends. If you're not in it
yet, now's the time to join. If you are in it, never stop promoting...
It DOES work! Our downlines are constantly building!
I just finished mailing out the downline reports for
$2 Buck Downline Builder. If
you are in that and have sponsored anyone into the downline builder from
December 1st to January 15th you'll see your copy in a day or so..... We
mailed out a total of 203 of them. Whew! That's a lot of work.... The
next downline report for the 2 Buck program will go out after February
15th....
Also, as our
$2= $SUCCE$$ ends at the end
of this week, I'll be mailing out downline reports and invitations for that
the 1st and 2nd week of February... Lots of work ahead for us......
For me now, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Tuesday!!!!

The beginning of the week
and it's a beautiful one that's for sure! Only thing is it's beautiful because
the outdoors around here is covered with snow! Yep it snowed again last night!
This is some start for a new week. I just got done cleaning the snow off our
Jeep as Betty has a dental appointment early this afternoon. Also had to do
some shoveling around the house. Boy, we're caught in a cold spell for sure as
it's not even supposed to get to 20 above here, at the Blue Bird Cottage
today!
I did take some pictures of the mighty Susquehenna River that flows through
our back yard and posted them here for you. They are at
Chuck's Daily Photo
Gallery 11 to the left of this post. I had said in Friday's post that I
thought the river ice would get so frozen that it would stop moving and it did
on Friday evening, I took a couple of pictures of the ice. That night we had
some snow so I took a few more pictures on Saturday and posted them up here...
Looks like we're living in Alaska instead of Central Pennsylvania!
I did get a lot done over the weekend, here in my home office, and only have a
few things to get caught up on. We have 276 pieces of mail to go to the
post office today! I told you we were working this weekend! We're also going
to have to leave a little early as I'm not sure how bad the roads are and we
may need extra time to get to the dental office. We'll also have to stop and
get some supplies while we're out. I guess with all of that in mind, I'm going
to have a short post here today. Don't forget to check out the pictures. For
me, I have to get a few things done before I leave and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. Yes, the sun is
out here this morning in Central Pennsylvania. However we have no heat! It's
10 above outside as I write this and only supposed to go to 20 degrees today!
That's getting too cold for me. The mighty Susquehenna river, that flow
through our back yard is just barely moving. The ice is from shore to shore
and just about solid. It will probably stop moving sometime today. Of course
the river will still be moving underneath the ice.
Things are going a little better here at the house as Betty is finally
starting to feel a little better. After getting some teeth pulled on Monday
I'm hoping she does a turn around pretty soon. I called the dentist's office
yesterday morning for her and had the dentist call the pharmacy with some new
medicine. It's not helping much though and she is going to try to get an
appointment to see the dentist today some time.. I sure hope so as it's tough
to see someone in misery and you can't do anything to help them.....
We'll see what happens....
I joined in on the Thursday evening conference call for the
Coin Savers Club last night
and was really surprised to learn that they have developed yet another great
way to help us build downlines. We have two web sites... one mostly for
developing our business and the other one is strictly for promotion. The two
are "linked" together and when a person signs into the one, the other sends
you and email. It's really complicated and I'm glad I don't have to run it but
it does work like a charm. Anyway, now you can actually buy qualified leads
from the company, they "load" them into your promotional site and the leads
are automatically contacted by the software and even run follow ups to the
leads and inform you how each is doing. It gives you the information to follow
up as well, if you like. You don't have to, mind you, as the software will do
follow ups itself etc., but you have that option. Anyway the company is
working so well for me, Betty decided to get involved and joined a short
time ago, so I'm going to get some leads loaded into her site and if they work
out as well as I think they will I'll do another load on my own site.
I'm finally getting caught up with a lot of work that's been piling up here
but I have tons to get done before the end of this month and time is marching
on.
I WILL get some pictures of the river and have them up here for you to see on
Monday. It REALLY is some sight!
In the meantime it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT weekend, (and get some rest!)

It's a little gloomy here
in Central Pennsylvania this morning. It's going to be a good day however as
the weather folks are predicting it to go above freezing! Boy we haven't seen
those balmy temperatures above freezing for awhile...
I took Betty to the dentist yesterday and he did whatever he does and she now
feels a little better. She is still "down and out" with a lot of pain though
and I sure wish she soon gets on a turn back to recovery.
Yesterday was a little slow, mail wise, and that's fine with me as it gave me
a little break to get caught up. I am now caught up opening and sorting the
mail. I wish everything else was caught up as well, but I am working on it.
I received 4 more applications for the $9.95 introductory offer to join the
Coin Savers Club! Boy that was
great considering it was a slow mail day!
Haven't seen many of our local animals out and about lately. I'm betting
they're "holed" up waiting for warmer weather. Very few squirrels and almost
no rabbits and I still haven't seen our neighborhood pet deer
"Verne".....
I sure hope he's doing okay in this extremely cold weather! As far as I know
he DID get through hunting season and was alive and well the last I heard, but
that was about a month ago.
I just bought a new digital camera with a "zoom" lens as I wanted to get a
good close-up of the huge groundhog, (woodchuck), among other things, that
lives under our outside shed. However, I'm afraid he's hibernating and
probably we won't see him for another month or so. I'll have to keep and eye
on Punxsutawney Phil, (our weather
predictor), here in the east. He's the one that tells us on February the 2nd
of each year if we have 6 more weeks of winter or not. If you're not familiar
with Phil, check out his official web site
for all the latest. Go ahead and get caught up in the excitement!
We all look forward to Phil's predictions here in Pennsylvania as it's quite
an event and is always telecast on all of our local TV and Radio Channels...
(Just goes to show you what kind of lives we lead here, in Pennsylvania.... or
should I say lack of lives!)
Oh well it's all in fun and there sure is nothing wrong with that...
Talk about fun.... looks like I'm NOT in for too much of it today so
it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
day!!!

Another sunny morning here
in Central Pennsylvania but boy it sure is cold! It's not even supposed to get
up to the freezing mark again. Looks like our high is supposed to be 25
degrees... I better pick up some more wild bird seed as my feathered
friends here at the Blue Bird Cottage are having a tough time finding food
with the snow on the ground and this unusual cold weather.
Looks like Betty & I will have to make another trip to her Dentist today. Her
lower jaw is really swollen and very "black & blue". I really pity her but
can't do much to help her out. I sure hope they can give her some relief. Even
the pain pills she's on aren't helping much any more. I've got my fingers
crossed......
Yesterday brought a huge pile of mail to my office. Instead of a weekend and
one holiday it looks like the post office saved it up for an entire week..
All of it barely fit in my mailbox and when I opened it, the mail over flowed
onto the post office floor! Needless to say I haven't got it all opened
and sorted as of yet.. I'll be working on that later as I still have a
few things to get done before we head down to Harrisburg to the Dentist.
Believe it or not I am getting caught up with some of my work and looks like
I'd better get back to it...... YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Wednesday!!!

It's another beautiful but
cold morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania.
I can finally see why folks move to Florida to retire. I do love it here and I
do love the changes in the seasons.... but by golly a lot of aches and pains
are brought on by those season changes when you reach an older age. Oh well,
no one promised me a rose garden!
Betty got though her dentist procedure yesterday but is, I'm afraid, still
suffering today. Among other things she had to have 3 teeth pulled and her jaw
is swollen. Coupled with not being allowed to eat normal food, (starving to
death), along with the pain and sore jaw..... just let me put it this
way...... she's not a happy camper!
No mail yesterday because of the holiday and that gave me some extra time to
catch up on some other work, however, I'm afraid I'll pay for it today.
My mail box is probably going to explode when I open the door on it.
Even though I have a box that's about mid size...... (it will easily hold
magazines and some packages with out folding them,) it wouldn't be the first
time I've opened it to just have the mail fall out onto the floor from being
so full. It's good it's on the last row at the floor level... Doesn't have far
to fall! I do have quite a few things to get done before I make my trip to the
post office including getting myself breakfast. I don't think it's fair to let
Betty get it for me, as she usually does, and then can't eat any herself, so
it's best if I just make it myself.
I've been hoping to get to some places, even walking, to try out my new
digital camera, but with this cold weather we been kinda' hanging around home.
Well, the weather has to break sometime and get a little warmer, doesn't it?
Our Phase II for the
$2= $SUCCE$$, that ends the
31st of this month, is still drawing a lot of sign ups. I think a lot of
people wait until the last minute to join. I even get a lot of applications
after the dead line..... Thank goodness it really doesn't matter though
as if their applications are a little late I just send them the new material
for the next Phase that in this case will be Phase III starting the first of
February. Keep an eye here, in this post, to find out just when I upload the
new camera/ready copy of the Phase III circular to the Internet and make it
available to those of you who are already in the program. Those who are not
and would like to get in on a nice home money making business click here to
print a copy an mail to me to join the program,
$2= $SUCCE$$. When it
comes time for you to actually join the company from your downline building
efforts, hopefully you'll be in immediate profit! My checks are growing
monthly with the company.
I guess I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT day!!!

It's another extremely cold
morning here in Central Pennsylvania to start a brand new week. Looks like
winter is not going to give us too much of a break here, this week in the
north east.
This post will be fairly short this morning as Betty has a Dental appointment.
Jeez.... here lately it's like I mentioned to Betty... between going to the
hospital, doctor's appointments, and Dentists...... I don't think I have the
time to run my home business! Too darn busy doing practically nothing! I
sometimes wonder how families do it now days with the wife and husband working
and with children. Boy I've got to hand it to these folks they must feel half
dead at the end of the day.
Well, I'm back to my favorite gripe.... if our governments keep making more
and more laws and more and more taxes, everyone will have to put in more and
more work hours to pay for everything. Everyone except the politicians of
course. They always seem to give themselves plenty for raises for putting in
the same amount of time. Yep, they sure take care of themselves..
It's no wonder they work their tails off trying to get elected to government
"service." It's one beautiful job if you make it. Heck even after you spend
only your elected term of 4 years, you still get a full salary for the REST OF
YOUR LIFE, plus full medical and dental FREE coverage for the rest of your
life! Yep, no wonder people are falling over themselves trying to get elected.
I think they should place a two term limit on elected positions and then at
the end of the terms, cut off their "benefits" and let them go back to work
like the rest of us and earn a living for the rest of their lives. If this
came about, you can bet your bippies that they would pass some decent changes
for social security and a lot more to make all of our lives better.
I did get some work done here in the office over the weekend but things are
picking up here for the new year and it looks like I'm in for more work than
usual for this week.
Oh, I was wrong on Friday.... Not only did the river NOT freeze over
but it looks like there is not as much ice on it this morning... Holy
cow this weather is really something else this year.
Well, I do have a couple of things that need to be done before Betty and I
head for the dentist's office.... so for me it's back to work and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

T.G.I.F. We're still in a
cold snap here in Central Pennsylvania and as I write this it is 10 degrees
above outside. Wow! That's cold for around here. Lot's of water pipes freezing
in Harrisburg which is the closest city to us. So far, with extra heaters
running, I've been able to keep our water system operating just fine. We have
our own pump so it's an extra challenge.
I finally got all of my mail caught up and sorted. Wow! A couple of days under
the weather and it really throws you behind. I have a lot of applications to
process for the
$2= $SUCCE$$ that ends the
31st of this month, and also the
$2 Buck Downline Builder
for the Coin Saver's Club. Plus, I have several applications here for both
programs to process and get off to the companies. Business is certainly at
it's peak here in my office at the frozen Blue Bird Cottage! I really love it
when it's busy like this. Just never seems like there's enough time, however,
to get everything done. The neat thing about this business is that just when
you think it's a lot of work, and nothing is happening, you receive a nice
sized commission check in the mail and it makes it all worth it, (and then
some.)
Yep, I do think that's the best part of it all, the checks!
Well, it looks like I lost my nickel bet yesterday that I made saying the
river would be completely frozen over this morning. I just checked and it has
ice completely covering it but by golly it' still moving. With temperatures of
just 7 degrees over night l would think it WOULD be completely frozen. It's
okay with me as I hate ice jams. With ice jams the river rises and falls very
quickly. I'll see if I can get some up-to-date pictures over the weekend and
post them up here for you to look at. There are a couple of pictures of the
river from earlier this week when it first started to ice up, just click
here and scroll to
the bottom of the Photo Gallery.
I have plenty here to get done before I go to my doctor's appointment this
afternoon and I also want to get ready for the weekend. So for me it's back to
work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

Another sunny day here in
Central Pennsylvania.... We are REALLY in a cold spell as it's only
supposed to reach 16 degrees as a high today! Wow!
I've been having trouble with my Internet cable connection this morning so I'm
not really sure when this will get posted. If I can't get it back soon, I'll
have to call the cable company. However, when I call them they never admit
that loss of service is "their" fault. Their doggone building would blow up
and they'll still tell me to re-boot my system to see if my cable comes back!
I guess it's bad for business for them to admit any wrong or failure at all.
Things are still running a bit behind here in the office as I'm still trying
to get caught up from my "rest" over the weekend when I felt miserable from
Friday's trip to the hospital. I am supposed to go the the doctor's
tomorrow for a follow up. I guess I'll find out then for sure just how well or
not I am. I don't look forward to it. The nurse said it would only
take about 10 minutes but the doctor is ALWAYS late, usually about an hour,
and the appointment is not until mid afternoon. Just about the right time to
screw up at least a half day of work. Oh well got to take care of what's left
of my body. What's that old saying? "If I would have known that I'd live
this long, I would have took care of my body better!" Boy that's the
truth..... at least in my case... Isn't it weird when you're young that
you feel nothing can happen to you and old people moping around are just a
"pain in the ass" to you. Oh well if you're lucky to live long enough, the
tables DO turn!
The ice on the river is still moving but after today and tonight I'll bet my
last nickel that tomorrow morning it will be entirely frozen over. As it gets
more and more ice on it, it will begin to back up when it hits that large bend
about a half mile down river from where we live and then it will stop moving
out in back of our house too. Of course the river doesn't stop, it just runs
underneath the ice.
I'm now looking at a pile of work on my desks so for now, it's back to work
for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania but a cold one, brrrrrrrrrrr! (18 degrees above
as I write this!) Check
out Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 10 for pictures of the ice on the river.
The weather man is calling for snow to start this afternoon. It's not supposed
to be that bad with only about 5 inches predicted.
As long as we're stocked up on fuel and food, let it snow!!! At least I
don't have to worry about fighting the snow and ice to get to work. All I have
to do is walk from my living room to the end of the cottage where my office is
located. I don't even have to open the door to check and see how cold out it
is. I work long hours but there are compensations to working for yourself!
Every free minute I get lately I've been trying to learn how to use my new
digital camera. Boy is that thing complicated! Meantime on about the same day
I received my new cell phone as I changed cell phone companies and received a
brand new, up to date, phone from them,
Veriuni's Wireless, which is serviced by Cingular. I had a choice of
several phones when I ordered the service over the WEB so of course I chose
one with a color screen and all the latest gadgets and services on it. May as
well get the works, I thought. I'm not sure it that's such a great idea either
as boy that darn thing is about as complicated as the new digital camera! Both
have excellent instruction booklets and also real people help if needed so I
guess it will just take time. It wouldn't be so darn bad if I had the time to
just set down and study the booklets until I learned it all. However with my
work, that's impossible as I must do it in small increments as I have the
time. One good thing about the phone is that the battery lasts a long time
before it needs recharged. So far, by the looks of it, I may only have to
recharge it once or twice for a whole week of use. I just love the long
distance phone calls built right into the calling plan I chose. I not only get
600 anytime minutes, (daytime minutes) to anywhere in the United States with
FREE Long Distance, (that's 10 full hours!), I also get 5,000 minutes,
(including FREE long distance), for nights and weekends per month!!! (That's
over 83 hours of long or short distance talking!!!) Now that's a lot of time.
But here's the real kicker..... if I don't use all of my 600 minutes they roll
over into the next month! I don't lose them! If I would have had perk with my
old plan, I would now have thousands of minutes to use up!
Anyhow, that's what's been taking up all of my "free" time lately.
Still trying to catch up from being ill over the weekend. I got a lot done
yesterday but barely put a dent in the work that needs to be done.
So..... for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Wednesday!

It's a cloudy day here at
the Blue Bird Cottage, in Central Pennsylvania. It's still supposed to get
pretty warm today. Probably in the 30s but tonight another cold spell is
moving in and there will be no relief from that until next week. Oh well, this
IS winter time here in the northeast.
Things are really picking up again at my home office. I think it's because the
holidays are over and folks are trying to make some extra money to pay for
them. I didn't get through yesterday's mail at all yet and will start on that
as soon as I post this.
I had to take some time to go get some extra propane last night to help
supplement our stoker with this extra cold weather on the way. We do live in a
cottage and it really takes a lot of heat to keep it warm. Most of the time
the stoker stove will keep up with the job but when it falls below 25 degrees
it needs a little extra help. We use kerosene heaters and a propane heater for
that job. A pain in the rear, but better than being cold!
I'm going to make this post short today as I really have to get back to work
but I did want to give you a tip before I leave. I subscribe to "PC WORLD"
magazine and they mentioned a great tip that I want to pass on. "Google" has a
brand new search helper called the "Google Deskbar" that rides in your tray at
the bottom of your desktop. It is really a great tool for searching anything
and even boasts a Thesaurus, Dictionary, etc. That you can search without even
having your browser open! It's absolutely FREE!
I've only had in in since last night and have already used it 3 times. Just go
to
http://toolbar.google.com/deskbar/ and click on download the
DESKBAR.... not
the "Toolbar"! I'm sure you'll really like it.
Well that's it for me today and it's back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!

It's a cloudy day here in
Central Pennsylvania but it's supposed to go way up to 40 degrees here today!
Compared to what we've had here over the last week that's actually warm! I
can't get too excited however as it's only supposed to last for 2 days and
another cold front will be moving back in. Yep, we are definitely into Winter
here.
Well, I'm still here so everything went pretty good on Friday at the hospital.
My appointment was for 10:30 AM to have the procedure done but they wanted me
to get there an hour early at 9:30 AM to get me ready for it... (That's
to get you into the hospital gown run through your life's medical history, get
the IV into your arm, etc.). I was ready about 5 minutes after 10:00 AM. They
were quite full in the pre operating area so my gurney was placed along the
wall in more or less a hallway and there's where I stayed for the next hour.
Then about 11 AM they finally wheeled me into the operating room. GREAT I
thought, I'm going to get this thing over with. Well, it seems the the doctor
was backed up with other patients and he didn't get to me 'til about 5 minutes
after 12 noon! By this time all I could think of was my stomach moaning and
groaning because I hadn't eaten since Thursday night. As soon as he arrived
before everything got started, I reminded him that the last time I had this
procedure done, (back in November), that they hadn't given me enough "sleepy"
medicine to put me completely under and that I could feel and hear all that
was going on including the pain! He said he'd give me more of the stuff and
not to worry. That sounded pretty good.... Also, I asked him to give me a
prescription for some pain medicine because like last time it was Friday and
his offices were closed over the weekend and I had to go through the weekend
with nothing for it as I wasn't even allowed to take aspirin. With all that
out of the way I figured I was ready.
Well, apparently everyone forgot about the extra "sleepy" medicine as it was
the same as last time and I was fully aware of everything that went on. A VERY
BAD experience. Then after it was over I was informed that I would have to be
on a clear liquid diet for 2 more full days. Now, think about that. What the
heck can you eat to satisfy you that is a clear liquid? Yeah, that's what I
came up with also... Just about nothing.. I was allowed to drink
soda though and that pretty much got me through that.
The good thing is that now, Monday, the pain has really subsided and I feel
much better. The last time it took almost a month for all the pain to go away
but at least it's now bearable.... If you are ever up for this kind of
procedure, (see Friday's post), I'm sorry to scare you but I hope your doctor
at least gets you "under" before he goes to work.
I did take about an hour yesterday and assemble my new digital camera that
arrived here on Friday. I took a couple of pictures to check it out of the ice
on the river. I posted them up here in Chuck's
Daily Photo Gallery 10
at the bottom for you to look at. Just click the
Photo Gallery 10
and scroll to the bottom. I still have a lot of studying before I'll know how
to make the camera do what it actually can. It's a Fuji S3000 series with 6
optical zoom and 3 digital zoom. It is really cool but it's very
complicated to use. At least now I'll be able to get some decent shots of or
local wildlife to share with you.
Look's like I'm rambling again and I really must get a good bit done before my
trip to the post office today so for me it's back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. It's sunny
and super cold here again in Central Pennsylvania. I sure hope I'm in for a
good day today.
I'll be headed to the hospital early this morning for a Esophagogastroduodenoscopy or EGD test
& banding procedure. Ouch, I'm sure not looking forward to it. This is a test
where a long, thin and flexible tube is passed through the mouth and back of
the throat into the upper digestive tract. It will allow the doctor to examine
the lining of my
esophagus, stomach, strictures, polyps, tumors, ulcers, and inflammation. It
can confirm abnormalities seen on x-ray and detect others too small to be seen
on the x-ray.
Then the doctor is going to "band" some enlarged blood vessels.... I had this
same test and had 5 nodes on my esophagus "banded" about 2 months ago and the
Doc said that I had about 5 more to do but he didn't want to do them all at
once because it would be too painful. Well the last time it took over a month
for the pain to go away so I'm really not looking forward to this job
today. The last time I wasn't the entire way "under" when he did the job. I've
spoken with him since and he promises to give me more of the "sleepy" medicine
to put me "under" further. Also it was Friday the last time also that I had
this done and of course after it was over the doctor took off. When everything
wore off I had quite a bit of pain but since the doctors office was closed
over the weekend I couldn't get a prescription for pain pills. I'll have to
"nail" him today before he does the procedure to give me a prescription.
Sorry I haven't covered much else, here this morning but this darn thing is
working on my mind. Hopefully I'll feel well enough this afternoon to get some
work done here in the office as I sure don't want to save it all for this
weekend!
For me I have a couple of things to do BEFORE we head for the hospital and
YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's another beautiful,
sunny day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It is
COLD however, as we are locked in a cold
front.. Right now there is no ice on the mighty Susquehenna River that runs
through our back yard but another couple of days of this extremely cold
weather and it WILL freeze over! No higher than 24 degrees today and down to 8
degrees tonight according to our local weatherman! Baby that's cold!!!
My new cell phone arrived here yesterday by UPS. Hot dog... Yes, I
changed cell companies and my monthly bill actually went up! I had been with
Verizon Wireless for the past 3 years and the service wasn't bad but I wasn't
getting much for my money. I got 100 minutes a month and 1,000 minutes on
nights and weekends. (These are what they call "anywhere" minutes as it
includes the long distance charge.) This plan ran me $27.95 a month.
Now, I signed a new contract with a company with "Cingular" service where I
get not only 600 minutes a month and 5,000 minutes night and weekend but also
the minutes that I don't use are rolled over into the next month!!!!
This plan was only $39.95 a month and I got a brand new up-to-date phone with
it!!! Veriuni is the
name of the company I joined through to get all the perks and I love it... If
you're about due for a cell phone and/or an upgrade to your telephone and
service just click here,
Veriuni's Wireless, and check out the plans for your area. Oh, I forgot to
mention that I was allowed to keep my old cell phone number so everyone that
has it will still be able to reach me! Looks like my biggest job will be to
program my frequently called numbers into it. Even though I ordered it over
the Internet, the phone was here in two days, (it will be activated on
Saturday), and I called their number for more information and they were very
fast and helpful. A good experience and a GREAT phone and Plan!!! I was
afraid I'd have to commit to two years but only had to sign up for one.
I still don't have my new camera that I ordered from the WEB even though it
went out on the Fed Ex truck yesterday. I wish Fed Ex was like UPS and when
you're not home, place it in a bag and just let it at your front door. Betty
and I had to leave yesterday at 2 PM to do a few things. I only took us 3
hours 'til we were back home, but would you believe it, the Fed Ex guy was
here at 3:03 PM. He left a note saying that he would be back today between 2
and 3 PM. I'll be here! I don't want to miss delivery on my camera as I want
to take some pictures over the weekend with it..
Yesterday was another GREAT day for mail and although I was caught up
by then I still have yesterday's mail to go through... Applications are
really increasing for the Tape of the Month downline builder,
$2= $SUCCE$$ that ends the
31st of this month. That's a good thing, as Martha Stewart would say.
Looking at this pile of work on my desks it's back to work for me and YOU,
YOU have a WONDERFUL day!!!
Oh! I almost forgot... Looks like yesterday I had the wrong date in the
Joke link. I fixed that so you can check yesterday's jokes out also if you
like.

It's a beautiful but
ca-ca-cold day here in central Pennsylvania. It's supposed to go all the way
up to 26 degrees today!
I just checked the Fed Ex site to see where my new camera is and apparently
it's on the delivery truck as of this morning headed for my door. So I should
see that before noon today. Wow, I wish I had more time to "play" with it when
it arrives but by the looks of the work around here I probably won't even get
it out of the box today. I've been shopping for a digital camera upgrade for
well over 6 months and I'm kind of excited about the one I finally choose to
buy. I'm sure now that I've bought this one that the prices on it will dive
over the next several months. With my luck that's what seems to happen more
often than not. (I know, as usual, I'm being pessimistic.)
I'm getting caught up on my mail some. I'm up to yesterday's. I have that to
go though yet and I'll be up-to-date with my mail. At least the opening and
sorting part.
Oh, I forgot to mention that when Betty and I went up to our neighbors for
their New Year's Eve party I did ask him if he has seen
Verne, our
neighborhood pet deer, lately. I've been worried about him since hunting
season arrived here, in Pennsylvania. He told me that he just saw
Verne just last
week and he was with several other deer. That's great,
Verne has finally
found himself some buddies. Now he'll probably get wilder and wilder and will
not come when we call him but that's okay as he now will learn the skills to
take care of himself in the wild. Good luck
Verne!
Our Phase II downline builder for the Tape of the Month program,
$2= $SUCCE$$, ends the 31st of
this month and the applications are starting to pick up already. Many people
seem to join right at the end of the phase so if you're in the downline
builder and waiting for the new phase next month, DON'T, as you're have more
of a chance of signing up folks right now!!!
Well, the morning is progressing and as I look around my desks I see a
mountain of work to get done so for me it's back to work and YOU,
YOU, have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful day here
in Central Pennsylvania. Cold weather is settling back in here. It's not
supposed to go much over freezing today and tomorrow the highs will be in the
20s. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... Tonight it's going into the teens....
Yep, winter is definitely back!
I bought an external 80 gig hard drive yesterday and installed it on my main
computer.. It took all the way about 10 minutes. Boy, it's nice to
install something on your computer that actually installs the way it's
supposed to and works. I have been having some problems trying to network it
to my other 2 computers but I'm sure I'll figure that out without much
trouble. With this drive in the evenings, I'll be able to back up my computers
in just a few minutes.. There's plenty of room on this drive for that
and then some!
I finally ordered another digital camera yesterday. I decided to buy it on
line as it was so much cheaper than ANY of our local sales. I'll tell you more
about it when it arrives....
Yesterday I received a huge pile of mail from the post office and to be honest
with you I haven't gotten though half of it as yet. So much for messing around
with my new hard drive. The piles are rising on my desks so for me, I'd better
get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day today!!!!

It's a beautiful, rainy
morning here in central Pennsylvania. We're still in a warm spell here and
it's supposed to go up near 50 degrees today. In the mean time it's raining.
It's going to be a great day though.
This past weekend really ended up being a good one. My only problem was that
on Saturday I kept thinking it was Monday. Boy the holidays sure get your body
clock all messed up. Well, it looks like the holidays are over for a while and
we can get ourselves back on schedule. We still have our Christmas tree up as
Betty didn't feel like taking it down over the weekend. That's okay with me as
I turn it on every night. I just love the Christmas tree and hate to see it go
for another year. Oh well, I know for sure that it will be coming down this
week and be back up in the attic......
The last two weeks of December I received my commission checks from both of my
mail MLM companies. The 2 that I run a $2 downline builder programs for. The
$2 = Success Downline Builder, and
the 2 bucks
for SUCCESS Program. Both checks were really up from November. The one was
about $120 larger and the other was over $200 larger. These programs are
really growing by leaps and bounds and if you're interested in starting a home
business or getting a residual check, then you may want to consider joining
and promoting them. We have a cheap way that works for the promoting of them.
If you really think Social Security or your retirement is going to "cut the
ice" when you're are ready, you'd better do some rethinking. Talk to
some older people you know and see how they are doing. Most are scraping from
one month to the next just to survive! Wouldn't it be nice to have a check
coming in each month not only that you can use NOW, but when you reach your
retirement years? With a nice check coming in each month you can then do some
some of the things you dream about doing after you retire like traveling some
or going out to eat as much as you want. Buying gifts for your family and the
list goes on and on.. You know, living without scraping to make ends
meet. Check them out.
Looking around my desks it looks like there is plenty to get done before I
head for the post office today so for me, it's back to work and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F...... Yep,
it's Friday already. They come quickly when you have a holiday in the middle
of the week, don't they. It's a little on the rainy side here in Central
Pennsylvania but it's supposed to warm up near 50 degrees today. Quite warm
for this time of the year.
I didn't get much work done on New Years Eve, but made up for it yesterday.
Betty and I finished the monthly "stuff" for the
Once A Month Association late last night and that's all ready to go to the
post office today. Still plenty to do as I've left other stuff undone to make
sure we got out what had to go. That's okay as we're in a brand new year and
it really looks like it's going to be a very profitable one as the MLM
companies I've aligned myself with are growing by leaps and bounds! Yes, I'm
looking forward to a profitable and exciting year!
I was kind of hoping that the New Year would bring less "spam" to my email
box. I don't know why.... just wishful thinking I suppose... I can't
give up my email addresses and start new ones. If I could I would. I bought a
great mailing program that allows me to "block" messages once I've received
them the first time.
However, now I spend most of my time blocking messages. The people who send
them keep changing the senders name and the subject content and my email
program doesn't recognize that it's a message from the same people. What the
heck is a matter with these people? I get at least 20 messages a day for some
kind of penis enlargement and that's not counting the many the come into
Betty's email box. This ad has been coming for months. You would think by now
they would know you're not interested. If a mailer DOES supply an email
address, (that works), that you can opt out of receiving their messages, it
seems like, when you do, the ads pick up even more! I was always against
any kind of Government control over the Internet and still am. I hope
that a software company comes up with a miracle program to stop these darn
things. I'll be the first one in line to buy it!!!! I did buy another spam
blocking program but have the same problem with that one. If you try to
"bounce back" the message to the people who are doing it, they have their
addresses so hidden the program can't find who to bounce it back to!!! I
hope something happens this year to cure this problem. There are always a few
people out of thousands that will just keep abusing something until they screw
it up for everyone. They're Hogs!!!!
Well as I look around me desks there is a lot of work to get done before my
weekend starts so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT weekend!!!!
