It's a cloudy morning here in Central Pennsylvania with yet another snow storm forecast for today. It's supposed to start any minute now and continue throughout the day. Before the whole thing is over tomorrow they are calling for between 8" and 12" of the white stuff. Looks like I'll be headed for the post office early today before the snow becomes really heavy.
I got a lot done, here in the office, over the weekend, and it's a good thing as today is the end of the month. I'm still working on our "end of the month" Once A Month Association stuff like the newsletter, Member Benefit Directory, statements, and checks etc. Everything must be done no later than today so Betty and I are in for a busy day here in the office.  Also today is the last day for you folks that our in our 2=SUCCESS downline builder, Phase VI that ended January 31st to get your application in to join the Tape of the Month program. If you haven't sent it yet, you'll have to FAX it.... Check out the Answer Page for the Downline builder for my FAX number and instructions.
I ran into a news item over the weekend that I thought must be one of the most unusual stories I've EVER heard. This happened down in St. Petersburg, Florida. Would you believe that a guy was running late for work when he opened the toilet to throw out a tissue. Inside was a snake as thick as a child's wrist, its diamond-shaped head sticking 10 inches out of the toilet! The snake was about six feet long! (Not a small one!) It was later identified as an African rock python. Snake experts said the python, which isn't venomous, must have escaped someone's home and slithered down a drain into the city sewer system.
Now that would certainly be enough to wake anyone up! No coffee necessary. If you'd like to read the whole story and a picture of the snake, click here: Snake Story
Living along the mighty Susquehanna River that runs through our back yard we see plenty of snakes in our area of Pennsylvania. Thank goodness we don't see that many poisonous snakes, but once in a while maybe a copper-head or rattle snake will show up. Mostly we see black snakes, garters, and water snakes. Did you know that although water snakes our not poisonous, they are the most vicious snakes in Pennsylvania?
Yeah, I guess you needed that bit of information to through the rest of your day, right? I though so. (Oh, one thing, if you click the black snakes above to see a picture, you'll see a picture of a black snake on a tree. They can climb trees! I once saw a black snake about 50 feet up a tree in just several seconds! So, when you're in the woods, don't forget to look up as well as ahead!)
Well, as I mentioned above, I must get to the post office early today so for me it's back to work.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F
The sun is trying to peek though here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and we DID have snow! About 8 inches of it! Not a real big GIANT snow storm but the biggest this year, so far anyway.
Here's a picture of our back deck. The squirrels are already knocking off the snow from the railing. If you look real hard through the railing you'll see my bass boat covered up with a tarp. As you can see the river in the background has no ice left on it at all!
We kind of hibernated here yesterday in the house and here in my home office.. I did get out for a few minutes to make my daily trip to the post office.  Had a pretty good mail day yesterday too. I received 3 more entries for
Tape of the Month program generated by our $2=SUCCESS downline builder, Phase VI that ended January 31st. Of course Phase VII is now in effect and we all have until the end of April to build our downlines before we load them in to the main Tape of the Month program on the next mail out in May.  I also received another entry yesterday for our Once A Month Association generated by member Douglas Wallace. Way to go Doug! That will be another $10 per month added to Doug's already growing monthly commission check!
I think Betty and I will take some time early this afternoon to go eat at our favorite Chinese Buffet. We're overdo for that. Got to have that Chinese/American food to look forward to. Besides that, I must make a trip to my bank and that's in the Harrisburg Area... Got to pay some bills, you know....
The end of the month is almost here and I always have a lot of work to get done so I'll be working most of the weekend on my OAMA program.... I must run the statements, write the commission checks, write the Newsletter, Update and print the Monthly Member Benefit Directory, and then get the mailings together and get 'em all out! Whew! I'm tired already!
Well, there is a bunch of "stuff" I need to get done before we leave, so for me..... I'm back to work.. and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Weekend!!!

It's a cloudy morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania because they are calling from 3" to 6" of snow before this evening. It's supposed to start this morning and continue throughout the day.
On TV this morning at the top of the screen our local TV station was running delays and closures of Schools and all kinds of Events. That kind of struck a funny note on me as we didn't even get one snowflake yet and they were closing the schools! Unbelievable!
At least it's unbelievable to me as I remember, (Yes, here we go again, back to the golden oldie days), when I went to school, the roads had to be completely impassable before any radial action, like closing our school, would take place..  I remember many a morning trudging through well over a foot of snow on our "mile long lane" that ran back to our Dairy Farm to get to the school bus that turned around at the end of our lane.
Our school bus driver would have has tire chains already on his bus in these conditions and believe me it took a LOT of snow to stop that big school bus with tire chains on.
I remember also while riding the bus to school on some days that it began to snow and snow so intently that the bus driver would stop the bus and install the chains right there along the road to insure our safe arrival to school..  Did we appreciate it? I doubt it as all we were concerned about was getting a "snow day" off. But back then, a "snow day" was rare because our bus driver worded very hard to get us to school. We didn't always arrive on time, but I don't remember ever having many problems even in blizzard conditions.
Our Bus drivers didn't have cell phones or radios to call the school and "check in".... If the busses were late and it was snowing, the "powers" at school, using their "common sense," knew that it was because of the inclement weather.
Another thing, "back then" when we had a snow storm the roads would eventually get plowed but it may be a week until the snow was actually "cleared" from the roadway as they didn't spend millions of dollars on salt to melt everything immediately.
I get a kick out of today's folks rushing to the stores to stock up on bread and milk at the slightest hint of a couple of inches of snow, like they will be "trapped" in their homes for days until they get "plowed" out...  The truth is, around these parts, usually the roads are open for save travel within hours of a snow "event."
Must be from a lot of us that remember when you had to get some extra supplies that we pass it on to our children or something like that.... They really have no reason as they will not be inconvenienced more than cleaning their drive ways and side walks when a snow storm occurs... Yep, must be us old folks fault!
Click here for a look at some photos from here in Pennsylvania showing the "good Ole days".....  Snow pics and stories.
I think I'll be making an early trip to the post office, before the BIG storm arrives so I guess for me, I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's the middle of the week, here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania, and a bit on the chilly side. It's supposed to go up near 40 so it won't be too bad. We did have snow flurries a little earlier this morning...
There is no ice left on the mighty Susquehanna River that runs through our back yard, here at the cottage, so it may be that Spring is definitely on it's way. Unless we get a terrible freeze for about a week I doubt we'll have much more ice on the river. That's okay with me as looks like we will not have any ice jams and flooding from them this year..  Maybe we're getting a break this year and escape them.....
I have an appointment to get our Jeep inspected this morning. Our once a year state inspection that is.. It was so much easier when I had my own repair garage years ago. Now we also have to have an emission check! The emission check, in most cases costs 4 times what the normal state inspection runs..  I guess we have to be concerned about our environment but to be honest with you after seeing how the test is done, I don't think it's even accurate! Last year the garage where I'm taking the Jeep for inspection did the first "emission test" on it. The first time it didn't pass. The garage man said that I may have to take it back to the dealer for repairs. Then he made an appointment to bring it back after the weekend... He said he'd re-check it again. Well, the following Monday I took it back and the test started to go bad right away.... The test equipment was very new to him and I mentioned to him and asked if he had a Tech he could call and ask for help..  Yeah, he said, but he's never in as he's always out on the road.. I said "what the heck" we have nothing to lose. Well, he called him, the Tech was in and he suggested to have an assistant "hold the plug into the socket with some hand pressure" under the dash board while he performed the test. "Bingo" that did the trick and the Jeep passed the emission test with flying colors! (Apparently a poor connection!)  Something as small as that cost me two trips instead of one to the garage to get and inspection sticker, and now an emission sticker as well...  I'm kind of anxious this morning to see just how things turn out..  I've only put about 6,000 miles on it since last year so I kind of doubt if there is a whole lot wrong with it..  We'll see pretty shortly though...
Actually the emission test is so new in Pennsylvania we only have it instituted in some of our counties...  Yep, I lucked out, ours is one of them...  As far as I'm concerned it's just another expense that helps nothing...
I swear that sometimes our legislators, here in Pennsylvania, get bored down at the Capitol and for something to do, come up with new laws to make them look like they're busy. There is a bill up now, here in Pennsylvania, to be voted on that will make "self serve" gasoline pumps illegal. The gas stations will have to have people pumping the gas for you..  Of course the price of gas is already outrageous.... what do you think hiring and paying people to "pump gas" will do to the prices...
On our local radio a commentator called and asked the senator why he and proposed such a ludicrous bill? The senator's explanation was that he felt it would create more jobs...  A job like that would probably pay even less that a hamburger slinger's job!  What an "idle" idiot!!! Like I said, Too much time on their hands!
There's a few things I'll have to get done, here in the office, before I leave as I want to stop at the post office on the way to the garage and "kill two birds with one stone."  So with that in mind, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day, here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go up into the 40s! Wow! Maybe Spring is going to show a bit today.
I just got off the phone with Jeff Charlton, CEO and owner of the most lucrative program/company I'm with, Elements. Boy, over the next 30 days big things are changing and will be a big boon to the company and to all the company associates that are promoting and working the program. If you're thinking of your own home business you may want to get involved with this company NOW before all the new changes that will bring in thousands under you takes place! As of now you can still get a 1 ounce pure Silver Eagle Coin and all the information about the program for only $9.95, (less than what the Silver Eagle cost!). Just click here Elements and then click on the button where it says, "Click Here For More Information" and then click on the "$9.95 Button!" There is absolutely NO OBLIGATION WHAT-SO-EVER! If you don't like the business idea or all the stuff you get in the package, then just keep the Silver Eagle and forget about the whole thing!!!
As I look out the front, glass door of my office almost no green can be seen... It kind of looks like a different, dead planet. It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks it will turn into an array of colors and especially lots of green. Pretty soon I'll be "digging" out the lawnmower and tuning it up for the Summer. Last year we had such a wet year here in Central Pennsylvania I had to mow the lawn practically every week or so through out the Summer. I know it sounds stupid but now, after this very cold winter, I am kind of looking forward to getting out and mow....  Don't tell Betty though....  I'll still be able to complain about mowing to her....  Kinda makes it all worth while!  The best of both worlds....
I didn't have to make a "run" to the post office yesterday, as a matter of fact, I didn't have to leave the office/house at all and consequently I got a load of work done... That's a good thing as today, after the weekend and holiday, I should be receiving a "ton" of mail. I'll have plenty to do after my trip to the post office....  I'm looking forward to that too... I'm just ready to work today... must be the sunshine outside!
I do have a couple of things to get done before my daily trip to the post office though, so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful snowy day here in Central Pennsylvania to start our week off with. Yep, we had a big snow storm here in the east. Well, not really, they were calling for from 3" to 6" of snow but in reality we received here about an 1", at the most 2".
What a GREAT weekend I had! Didn't get a darn thing done out doors but I DID get plenty of rest, and did get a good bit done, here in the office.
On Saturday I picked up two new pair of eyeglasses from Sears Optical Department. Both pair were only $95.00! A sale they had on. Not bad, not bad at all.....
I can actually see better with both of these glasses than I can from my much more expensive pair that I got at Pearle Vision. That pair, from Pearle, costs over three times what both the other two pair cost! It's a prime example that you DON'T always "get what you pay for!" Sometimes the bargain items turn out to be better than the premium items......  The secret is to be able to find out which is the best for the money, which evidently I can't do or I would not have had to buy both.....  I'll have to do more studying when I buy more "high end" items...
We also ran into a couple at the library in Harrisburg on Saturday that live in town here in Dauphin... We talked with them for some time and it just reminded me that I do want to start a web site for the small town of Dauphin but I'd like to find one or two people who could write me a small piece each day about the "happenings" in and around Dauphin...  If you are one or know anyone please contact me by email..  Address is at the bottom of this post....
If you look at today's "Joke Page" you'll see, at the top, where I post upcoming events up to 30 days in advance that the Spring Equinox has finally hit the list! Yep, Spring is almost here! Hot Dog!
Well, you may be off work today, President's Day, and I sure hope you are... I don't have to worry about getting to the Post Office today as it is closed so I have plenty of time to get my mailings together before tomorrow. So I'm running a bit slow on everything today...  I think I have that lazy streak showing up again....
I am going to get some things done today so to do that I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Day!!!

T.G.I.F.
It's another beautiful sunny morning, here in Central Pennsylvania, and another a very cold one as well. A repeat of yesterday morning.
Whoa, I just received a phone call and was on the phone for about an hour and a half. I must apologize for this post being late today. But the fellow who called me is Jeff Charlton CEO and owner of the most lucrative program/company I'm with, Elements!
Jeff is always coming up with new ideas to improve his program and make it easier for us to earn money with it. This guy IS on the cutting edge of anything new he can use to make that happen.
As of now you can get a 1 ounce pure Silver Eagle Coin and all the information about the program for only $9.95, (less than what the Silver Eagle cost!). Do it NOW while you're thinking about it!
We are right at the beginning of a brand new Phase VII that will last 3 months for our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program so now is the time for you to get into that as well..  Just click here: $2=SUCCESS print out the application, fill it out and send back to me along with $2 so I can get you on our data base and send you your custom promotional package. Why try and build a downline yourself when you can use us to help you do it?
It's a great time of the year to start your own business.... Spring is almost here and everything is new..... wouldn't it be nice if you had a new business with NEW commission checks coming in to your mail box too????
I'm looking forward to a nice weekend here at the Blue Bird Cottage along the Susquehanna River that runs though our back yard... Although it's supposed to stay pretty cold all weekend, I'm hoping that I get time to get outdoors and get some clean up work done. I sure won't get it all done but maybe at least put a dent in it. At least it would make me feel better.
I know Betty feels the same way.... She's "chompin" at the bit to get out doors as well... She has her own list of things to get done, (which usually involve me gathering some of the tools for her.) Hopefully it's not all just wishful thinking.
If I don't get outdoors there sure is plenty to get done indoors and in this office.... Most of the time it looks like a hurricane hit it.....  It sure could stand some straightening up! I keep threatening to it but I always have something else that needs done first... I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I keep telling Betty that I think my best attribute is "screwing off!" I DO know that I'm darn good at that!
Sometimes I think I was born lazy and then I think, "Naw, I worked hard to get this lazy!" (Just kidding, 'I Hope!')
Well I know for sure it's time for me to stop screwing off now and get my butt back to work as I must get some "stuff" ready to take along on my daily trip to the post office, so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's a beautiful sunny morning, here in Central Pennsylvania, but a very cold one. Yep, apparently we're definitely back into the Winter season here in the mid-state. Oh well we did get a reprieve for almost a week and I did enjoy the unseasonable mild weather. Yes, but now that's over and it's back to reality. Yeah, leave it up to reality to bring my wandering "spring fever" mind back down to earth!
Betty's Valentine's gift and card finally arrived this morning by UPS...  Yes, I should have ordered it earlier..  That's why on Monday I bought her the 20" gold rope necklace..  However, I still gave her the gift that arrived today. What was it? Well it was 3.3 oz of her favorite perfume, Royal Secret. She just loves that perfume and always receives compliments on it. It's a hair expensive and she only used to get it once a year when her sister bought it for her. Well she and her sister doesn't exchange gifts anymore as her sister now has Alzheimer's Disease. They stopped buying each other gifts last year... Not Betty's idea but her sister's. It's fine though as to be honest she doesn't even remember that we stopped to visit her 5 minutes after we leave! It's a shame.....
I mentioned last Friday that Betty had an appointment for a mammogram. I just wanted to mention that everything turned out just fine. She did tell me that they had to take another picture of her left breast as the first one didn't turn out good enough. Boy that really gets me as she left them take two pictures of her breasts and she won't even let me take one picture!!!  What a rip!!!
The applications are coming in on a daily basis now from the recent mailing of downline reports and letters to our members of Phase VI of our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program that ended on January 31st. Some of our members are going to be very happy with the increase in their downlines. Hot dog!
Yesterday bought a ton of mail and a lot of it still resides on my desks without even being opened so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!  See you back here tomorrow morning!

It's a bit cloudy this morning, again, here in Central Pennsylvania, but it's supposed to be on the warm side again with temperatures near 60 degrees. However it will be short lived as tomorrow highs are only predicted to be in the 30s.... brrrrrr..... back to Winter weather....
We stayed home yesterday and I spent the entire day here in my office..  I did get a good bit done and enjoyed the nice long day. The only thing I did take time for was a nice "heart" walk out our lane and up over the bridge above Highway route 322/22. It was pretty nice as the temperatures was in the 50s....  No bugs yet so it was a real nice walk.
Talking about bugs.....  I have only written to my state senator on two occasions and one of them was yesterday.
It seems like our Governor, Ed Rendell, who is not even from Central Pennsylvania has decided that we here in the Susquehanna Valley do not need our waterways sprayed for the black files, (gnats), any more after 2 decades of enjoying living without a zillion of the devils eating us alive when we go out doors for anything.
In my letter, to my state Senator, Jeffrey E. Piccola, I suggested that the governor's opinion would be a lot more viable to me if he could experience the mid-state with the black flies. So I suggested that this Spring about mid-May or mid-June we put the governor in shorts and T-shirt and put him on one of the islands in the Susquehanna River. Of course give him a tent to sleep in but during the daytime he must stay out of doors and "enjoy" himself. He could even take his golf clubs along and practice his putting. (That is of course if he can SEE his ball for the BLACK FLIES!) I also mentioned that I'm sure I could guess what his first order of business would be, at this office, on the Monday after he emerges from his stay on the island. I don't think we'd ever have to worry about him trying to "shut down" the annual spraying program again... I swear some of our government employees even as high as the Governor has too much time on their hands. Especially this Governor. He's convinced me that he sits up at night thinking of different ways to tax us! He was responsible for a very recent increase in our gasoline tax of 4˘ a gallon. He said he thought, "No one would take notice." Yeah, the gasoline prices are higher than they ever been, so no one would notice.  In other words, the public is already bent over from the fuel companies giving them the shaft.... I guess the Governor figures that he too may as well get them, (the public), before they get into an upright position!
Anyway, will it help the situation.... (My writing the Senator?) Of course I don't know for sure, but I figure when those darn gnats are eating me alive this spring as I'm trying to mow the yard or even take a walk, I'll have the satisfaction of knowing at least I complained!
We're starting to receive applications, back here at the office, from the recent mailing of downline reports and letters to our members of Phase VI of our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program that ended on January 31st. Don't forget, those of you who are in the downline builder and as of yet have not joined the main program, have until February 28th to get your application in. You can FAX it in if you are paying by check or credit card. The instructions are right on the application that you've received. Also, if you have any more questions, click here at our $2-SUCCESS Answer Page. Also, don't forget if your question is not covered there or in the material you've received, you can always Email me at chuck@homebucks.com ......
I just took time and fetched another cup of coffee and fed the squirrels out on the back deck and as I look around here at my desks, I guess for this morning, I'd better get my butt back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

Tuesday, February 15, 2005

It's a cloudy morning here in Central Pennsylvania but far from cold. It's starting the day out in the lower forties and it's supposed to go up to almost 60 degrees! Wow, that's warm for this time of the year. It looks like were back into another warm spell again.
When I went out onto the back deck this morning to feed the birds and squirrels there were even bugs on the sliding glass door. They're starting to wake up, that means it must be getting warm!
Betty and I went to our favorite feed spot yesterday, The Chinese Grand Buffet. We no sooner got in the door than our Chinese Friend, Jason, came over and gave Betty a red rose. A few weeks ago we we talking to Jason about when he lived in Japan for a year before he came to the United States and he was telling us about the Japanese tradition surrounding Valentine's Day. According to Jason the girls/ladies in Japan are supposed to give all the men they know a chocolate on Valentines Day. Just if they know them. Now for their special guy they usually give a whole box of chocolates. The boys/men are not required to give anything to the girls/ladies! Jason really liked that part...  We got a kick out of him explaining this to us....  Betty and I have really gotten close to Jason over the last year and she considers him like a grandson. So Betty got Jason a box of chocolates and a card yesterday so when he handed her a rose, she countered with her "gift." Both of them got a real kick out of it! The Chinese restaurant is kind of like the old TV program, Cheers. It's nice to frequent a place where "everybody knows your name!" Anyway we enjoy it there and also enjoy the food..
Of course my gift for Betty never arrived here by UPS yesterday and after running a tracker on it this morning it's not supposed to get here until Thursday. So.... I'm glad when we were out yesterday I decided to go to "Costco's" a discount buying store that you must join to buy there. It costs $45 a year to belong. I wanted to check out their prices as I've been planning on quitting "Sam's Club" and joining that. Since I buy a lot of my home office stuff there I wanted to make sure that "Costco's" would carry it. "Costco's" is closer to us and I buy all my gasoline at Sam's as well and "Costco's" has discount gasoline as well. I can save enough over the year to pay for the membership just by buying my fuel there. At any rate we stopped there and got a "pass" to walk around the store. One of the first things we ran into was the jewelry counter. Last week Betty's favorite necklace just plain wore out and broke. So I got her up looking at the vitamins at the far side of the store and told her that, as they only except American Express there, I had to run out to the Jeep and get that card so I could join. It was raining "cats and dogs" but I got to the Jeep and retrieved the card and a copy of my sales tax certificate and went back in and joined as a business. I got her a card that all she had to do was stop on the way out of the store and get her picture put on it. Then I quickly went to the jewelry counter found some sales help and bought her a new rope 14 karat gold 20" necklace to replace the one that had broken....  I got it out of the store without her seeing it and presented it to her last night, still under the wire for Valentine's Day! Whew! That was close....  Now, when her original gift arrives on Thursday, I'll get extra "brownie points" for being so "thoughtful".....  Okay... I know that's not quite that kosher, but hey, at my age I'll take brownies whenever I can "rack" 'em up!!!
I'll bring up my mail order friends on my business tomorrow as I'm out of time now and must get back to work.....  and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a cloudy, cold, snowy morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania to start off our new week.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!  I know just another day for the Retailers to be happy about selling their flowers, candy, gifts and especially their cards. But if you have a female any where in your life, from Grandmothers down to daughters, you'd better bite your lip, and reach down and get out that "moth bitten" wallet of yours and do a little shopping. Otherwise, you'll turn into the BIG ogre in their lives and you sure as heck don't want that now, do you? No, of course not. My only problem is my gift to Betty is on a UPS truck, plane, or maybe a dock somewhere and it's not HERE! Yes, I'm in BIG trouble..... I know better late than never may be okay but today I'm in the dog house and that's going to be an understatement!!! I'm going to run a searc0h on the package and find out just where it is as soon as I finish this post.....  Hopefully it's near.....  I can't mention what it is as she may read this post.... She doesn't too often as she does not like computers....  Yep, as much as I'm "into" them, that as far away from them as she is. Oh sure, she'll look at them to see some Email someone sent her of a batch of pictures I've snapped with the digital camera, but that's about as close as she wants to be to them. When something goes wrong with one of mine, she's the first to remind me that's why she doesn't have one! Heck one year I wanted to buy her one for her birthday and she refused me flat out.... She didn't want one! Oh well to each his/her own. Personally, I couldn't run my business without at least one computer. At the moment I always have 3 networked and on and running in my office..  One is a 17" laptop that I can "cart" just about anywhere with me to work. I like it because in the summer I can take it out on the deck by the river and work. That way I'm not completely trapped here in the office.
My next step is to go wireless. At the moment everything is "wired" together and when I go out on the deck with the laptop I must run a 100' network cord out there to stay connected. Once I go wireless, of course it will be much easier to "stay connected." Probably this Summer, sometime that will happen.
There are a lot of sites on the WEB devoted to Valentine's Day but most are just planned, pretty, places to get your money. Here's a place that gives a little more than the sales pitch, (although they still have that there as well), with other "stuff" about Valentine's Day: Valentine's Day Love Guide and all kinds of goodies.
I got a little work done here in the office over this weekend, apparently darn little as the piles on my desks did not seem to diminish whatsoever. We are, at the moment, putting together a pretty large mailing and I'll also be sending out some ads to be placed today as well as doing some of my regular chores like answer inquiries and filling orders. I'm also making plans to completely revamp my main web site at HomeBucks.com and make it easier for folks that work from their homes to find "stuff" they can use and need to run their businesses that I have to offer them.
Over the years I've helped a lot of people start their own home businesses and helped get them into profit and in this day and age, (the computer age that is), is more easier than it EVER was and I'm not taking full advantage of it..  I'll keep you up to date....
Well, I guess it's time for me to get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F.
It's beautiful sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania!
We're almost half way through February already. Where does the time go? When we're young and in school time seems to drag along. Especially the week days... Then of course the Weekend, (just like now), flies by and it's time to go back to school.... But as we get older the weekdays, even though we must work, seems to fly by as well. If just seems like time is moving so darn fast. I've read at different places, stop and smell the roses. Stop what, time is moving so darn fast it's tough to see the darn roses let alone smell them!
Oh well something to think about when I have more time.....  (uh-oh), there's that time thing again... I just can't escape it!
Betty has an appointment this afternoon for a mammogram. She's not looking forward to it but says it's not that big of a deal. Best to be safe than sorry.
Personally I just hate these "preventive tests" that darn near kill you! Like a few months ago when I had that test where they put a "giant" piece of equipment down my throat and "banded" off some veins in my esophagus. First of all the entire deal was not a very comfortable deal as the hospital that I went to, (and I was not aware of this at the time), did not have an anesthesiologist on duty so they couldn't put me completely to sleep and just gave me medicine to "knock" me out a bit. That wasn't fun at all as not only was I aware of what was happening but could feel all the pain as well! But that night I woke up about 12:30 AM to get up for one of my regular trips to the bathroom when I became nauseous and passed out. To make a long story short Betty had heard me and I did wake back up to find that she had called the ambulance and they were preparing me for a trip to the hospital as I was tossing up pure blood, lots of it!
That was a real scary experience.... that's what I meant by the "preventive tests" that darn near kill you! That reminds me I'm due to go back in for another one of those deals again this month! Wow, I can't wait!, Not!
Lots to get done here in my home office before I head off to the post office. So as I look around my desks at the piles of "stuff" that needs to be done, for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's another cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania and the temps are dropping. Looks we are heading into our predicted cold spell. Rain and maybe snow flurries this afternoon here at the Blue Bird Cottage. Oh well, it IS still February!
Yesterday, here at my office, proved to be a very productive day and we did get out all of the downline statements and Invitation packets for Phase VI of our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program. Those of you who are in Phase VI should see your packets in a day or so. Phew! I'm glad that job's done! It makes me feel good to get any project done that takes so much time.
I am REALLY looking forward to a few real warm days so I can start cleaning up here, around the cottage..  Our back yard looks like a dump from all the "goodies" the recent high waters of the mighty Susquehanna River that runs though our back yard has deposited since this cold season began. That coupled with the wind storms has our yard all the way around the house littered with tree limbs and other "garbage" that needs cleaned up and burned. Yep, I'm "stomping at the bit" waiting for Spring to emerge!
I ran into a GREAT piece the other day, as a matter of fact a friend of mine Emailed it to me, that deals mainly with us "geezers" oh, excuse me, us older folks....
It's called "Wisdom from Grandpa"

"Whether a man winds up with a nest egg, or a goose egg, depends a lot on the kind of chick he marries.
Trouble in marriage often starts when a man gets so busy earnin' his salt, that he forgets his sugar.
Too many couples marry for better, or for worse, but not for good.
When a man marries a woman, they become one: but the trouble starts when they try to decide which one.
If a man has enough horse sense to treat this wife like a thoroughbred, she will never turn into an old nag.
On anniversaries, the wise husband always forgets the past - but never the present.
A foolish husband says to his wife, 'Honey, you stick to the washin', ironin', cookin', and scrubbin'. No wife of mine is gonna work.
The bonds of matrimony are a good investment, only when the interest is kept up.
Many girls like to marry a military man - he can cook, sew, and make beds, and is in good health, and he's already used to taking orders.
Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age, and start bragging about it.
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the reads weren't paved.
How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are" (good question)
When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to your youth... Remember about Algebra.
You know you are getting old, when everything either dries up, or leaks.
I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.
One of the many things no one tells you about aging is comfortable.
Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.
Old age is when former classmates are so gray and wrinkled and bald, they don't recognize you.
If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to laugh at when you are old.

Have a GREAT day ...... and keep Laughing."
That was from my Friend, Ralph, down in Georgia.... Thanks Ralph, we're always ready for a good laugh!
Looks like I'd better get my butt back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's another cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania but it's still in the 40s here. That apparently will all end tomorrow evening when they are calling for another cold spell to set in and probably bring some snow..  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
Don't forget, today is the
Chinese New Year and is the "Year Of The Rooster."
I didn't even realize that we had a "Chinatown" here in Pennsylvania until I found this web site based in Philadelphia: Philly China Town Lots of cool links here and lots to learn from this site...  Happy New Year to our Chinese friends!!!
I took a good look at the surrounding mountains here where I live on my daily trip to the post office yesterday. Boy do they look bare, dead, and brown. I can't wait until Spring when they start to stir and the green starts to show though the gloomy brown colors. No leaves on the trees, shrubs, etc.... no flowers... either. It's just a "dead" time of the year. Uh oh, I'm day dreaming again.... I think that Spring fever may be setting in again for me... Just a little bit perhaps. Pretty soon I'll be bitching that I have to mow the grass every other day. Heck, when I look outside now, I kind of miss it....  At least it was more colorful than it is now, that's for sure! Oh well, it shouldn't be too long now!
Do you live in a fairly large town and practically know no one or did you move recently and don't know of any playmates for your kids? Then this cool site might be of use to you: Meet The Neighbors It may not be a complete cure for everything but it may help you at least locate playmates for your kids..
I really like this time of the month here at my home office as this is when most of my ongoing monthly commission checks arrive. I just received my commission check from my main program and business, Elements. This check continues to grow each and every month and to be very honest by this time next year may grow enough to match the earnings of a regular full time job!!!  I am SO glad that I joined this program and worked it as those commission checks make me feel all warm and fuzzy when I open the monthly envelopes.....  You can experience this feeling as well.... It's never too late to get started. Just click here: Elements or click on the banner ad at the top of this page. Read and study what you find there..... Try it out for less than 10 bucks.... If it looks like "your cup of tea" have a go at it and get ready for the "ride of your life." Join me and I can help you get your own business with Elements started. I'm working on a downline building program right now that should be "ready to go" in the next week or so. I also signed up a new business partner yesterday that is committed to make his Elements business his main source of income over a two year period... If you like, I could place you right under him and besides me, he would also be able to help you build your Elements business. If all this sounds like something you would like to do..... and give up that daily grind just waiting on T.G.I.F., than click that link and get going...  At least click it and have a "look see". I've already studied the program and it's stable, well put together, well organized, and well run and best of all it will be around a long, long time. I've been with them for over a year and I've made money since my second month. My commission check has NEVER been late.... Sounds good????  Click this link! Elements
Why do you think I like to get my mail so much each day? Well, besides the inquiries and orders, those wonderful commission checks, that's why!!!
I also received two other commission checks so far this week.... They weren't that big though but did total almost $700!!!  Not bad but they have a long way to GROW!!!
Here I am running on again... as I look at the piles of "stuff" on my desks that must be done before my trip to the post office it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!

It's a cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania but it supposed to clear up some this afternoon and stay a little on the warm side for this time of the year. In the 40s is not really that bad!
Do you love your job? I do because I really love what I'm doing and also where I'm doing it. I love working in mail order and MLM and I just love my morning and evening commute from my kitchen to the end of the cottage where I have my office. The ideal job situation for me.
Check out how to love your job and read a great article here: How to Love Your Job
If you'd like to start your own home business on a shoe string check out some of the "stuff" I deal in on this page....  Check out the listings on the left side of this page..
If you'd like to receive some information by mail on MLM and Mail Order plans and programs that I'm working that are making me money, (with some, lot's of it!), just mail me at least 2 first class stamps. The more stamps you mail the bigger the information packet! Mail to: Chuck's Best Money Makers, PO Box 370, Dauphin, PA 17018-0370
I almost have the downline statements and Invitation packets ready to mail out for Phase VI of our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program. I'm hoping to have all of them in the mail by the end of today. So if you are in the $2=SUCCESS downline builder for Phase VI you should be receiving your mailing packet in a couple or three days..  Check out our latest Phase VII circular by clicking here: $2=SUCCESS. If you're not in yet, you can print it, fill it out, and mail it back to me with 2 bucks. I'll put you in our database and send you off a 9" X 12" envelope with your custom camera/ready circular and instructions packet within 24 hours. That's about as cheap as it gets to get started with your own home business....
Now's a good time to get started in the mail order business before the postage increase that's almost guaranteed at the beginning of next year. I'm sure that not only first class postage will go up but so will Standard, (bulk), mail as well.
Besides advertising, postage in this business is our largest expense.
Betty and I stopped in at our favorite Chinese Buffet Restaurant yesterday, The Grand Buffet. Our friend, Jason, Chinese name, Lan Tian, was there managing the front, and manning the cash register. Tomorrow, February the ninth, the Chinese folks will be celebrating their New Year! Jason said that after the Restaurant closes tomorrow night, they will have a New Year Party to celebrate the New Year. He also said that other Chinese restaurant workers that are near them and the folks from their sister restaurant in Hershey Pennsylvania will also attend the party. Learn more about the Chinese New Year by clicking here: Chinese New Year This will be the "Year Of The Rooster" They have very interesting customs. If Betty or I have any questions, Jason is always eager to answer them for us. I've never seen a more "hard working" race of people. It seems that the few Chinese folks that we know seem to work "all the time." Well, at any rate, Happy New Year to all of our Chinese friends!
Well, with all this work I have to get done today for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania to start a new week and it's supposed to go up to 50 degrees! Well I've got my mind set that I'm not planning to get used to this beautiful weather as I know that Winter is far from over in these parts but I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
We did have a beautiful weekend around here and we did get a good bit done. There's a lot that I had wanted to do that I never did get around to doing but all in all my weekend was very productive.
We have the two squirrels, that frequent our back deck, really spoiled as even though most of the snow is gone and they could probably find a lot of food on their own. If we don't put out some food on the back deck for them they have a "hissy fit!" Yep, they sure do.... If we don't put out some squirrel feed, (a mixture of grains and nuts), for them in the morning "in time" they come up to the sliding glass door and actually tap on the window to remind us. Oh sure that usually gets our attention and we take some "stuff" out for them but as soon as we open the door, they run for the nearest tree to run up it until we place their food and go back into the house..  No sense for them to get too friendly, I guess they figure..  They don't want a relationship, they just want their "easy" daily meal!
That's okay with us as we doing enjoy watching them fight with each other and the various birds that try to "steal" some of their precious food. It's actually more entertaining than watching television!
I came up with a new promotional idea for one of my favorite programs,
American Bill Money (ID #3766). For a while I'm going to offer to pay the second month's dues for the program, a $75.00 value!) This will give the folks who join the program and extra month to get it into profit! For everyone they introduce into the program, they make a monthly commission of $50 so they will only need two people to break even and be $25 ahead each month. Any extras are all gravy. Only 10 people equal $500 a month!!!  This is a GREAT program and it's working well for me. Well enough to offer to pay the second month's fees of $75.00!!!
Well, the beginning of a brand new week and plenty of work left over to get done before my daily trip to the post office, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!

T.G.I.F
It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go up into the 40s again today. Looks like we're in for a beautiful Friday!!! Hot Dog!!!
I've really been feeling on the "up side" lately and I think it's the warmer weather. No, I don't think is Spring fever, oh heck maybe it is! All I know is lately, the last few days, I've been feeling all warm and "fuzzy" inside and it feels good!
I love our 4 distinct seasons here in Central Pennsylvania but I think Winter is the one that I quickly tire of. Oh, the snow is cool, and all the rest, but it wears out it's welcome real fast around here. As I get older that window shortens even more. About this time of year I'm really looking forward to Spring.
I was reading a piece in this month's issue of Wired Magazine about a Smartbot on the WEB called SmarterChild.
SmarterChild is an interactive agent built by Coversagent, Inc. Interactive agents are software applications, often call "bots," that interact with users on Instant Messaging or other test messaging services. You can "chat" with an interactive agent, whether on the web, over IM, or on a wireless device, the same way you talk to any other contact. To talk with SmarterChild, just send him a message saying "hi!"
You can download SmarterChild for your AIM, ICQ, or other networks including your cell phone! It's all FREE!!! You can check it out here: SmarterChild
Of course the entire magazine is not on line but there are a lot of articles that are in the new issue there at: Wired Magazine
I didn't get a chance to work on my home site, www.homebucks.com yesterday but hopefully I will today.
Lot's of "stuff" to get done before my weekend starts, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend. Oh! Check out today's jokes.... some REAL GOOD ones in there today! Take care......

It's a cloudy day here in Central Pennsylvania. Although they, (the weather people),  are calling for it to reach 40 degrees today they are also calling for snow flurries as well.
I was just outdoors feeding our 2 resident squirrels that frequent our back deck, daily, and the birds, and it's darn chilly out. I'll have to see it get to 40 today to actually believe it! Heck you'd think I was from the "Show Me!" state, Missouri. Did you ever wonder how the states got their nicknames? Well there's an interesting site that not only tells you the nickname of each state, but who or what was responsible for the state to get the "nick name" in the first place. Just click here for some good stories: State Nick Names
I've really seen the WEB and Internet grow over the last 12 years to an amazing source of information. I remember when the Internet first became available to us "peons" and all that was on the WEB was text. No pictures at all. It was fascinating to me back then so you can imagine how I feel about it now! There's a good site with a ton of information and charts on how the Internet has grown since 1993 right here: Internet Growth This guy has invested a lot of time in his site.
I shut down my main computer yesterday and I could not restart it. It seems that my battery back up system is not working up to par. I have no idea what the "life span" of one of these units are but sure enough when I plugged everything back into the direct current, it all started just fine. So I unplugged my printer, cable modem, and external hard drive from the unit and just plugged in the computer. It's working fine now, but I guess I'll have to purchase a new one as soon as possible. I've had this one for at least 2 years so I know I've gotten my money's worth several times that it saved me lot's of time that I would have had to spend re-typing and re-writing stuff! You're probably thinking why did he have all of that stuff plugged in anyway. Well if the juice went off or flashed off and on and I was in the middle of downloading something or printing something it would not affect anything. It would run all of these for up to 5 minutes or until I could save my work, finish downloading or printing and shut down properly. Now, I won't lose any work that I'm working on but I'm at risk with the rest. I haven't checked the company's site yet, but I doubt you can just replace the back up battery in them. Most of the time, they charge more to repair the darn thing than what it costs to just buy a replacement!
I've mentioned in the "daily post" before that most of my life, before I started my own "in home" business, that I was in the "automotive field." For years I had an automotive repair shop and an auto parts store across the street from it. It used to be that many of my customer's from the repair shop would "fix" the simple things that went wrong with their cars themselves...  Now a days there are not that many "simple" things that one can repair on their own! Ah.... for the good ole days! Technology is great but it kind of takes the fun out of a lot of things, don't you think so????
Oh well the time is flying by here this morning and I still have a ton of stuff to get done that I didn't finish yesterday, plus I want to take some time to work on my home site: www.homebucks.com and put up a few pages on it, so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Thursday... (It's been nice chatting with you this morning!)

It's another absolutely beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go all the way up into the 40s today! This warm spell is certainly not affecting night time temperatures though as last night we went down to 14 degrees here, along the river!. Brrrrrrrrrrr......
Well, it's official... we are going to have 6 more weeks of winter! Punxsutawney Phil lives on Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Punxsutawney Phil, King of the Groundhogs, Father of all Marmota, Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of Prognosticators has been summoned by Groundhog President William Cooper. Phil gleefully exited his burrow at 7:31 A.M. to be greeted by his longtime friend and handler, Bill Deeley, who held him high so he would greet the large throng of Faithful Followers. He wished them all a "Happy Groundhog Day." Bill placed him atop the old oak stump where he surveyed his surroundings. He then turned to President William and in Groundhogese directed him to the scroll which reads:
"Natural disasters have been a terrible thing; tsunamis, downpours, floods, landslides, heavy snowstorms, avalanches, frigid temperatures, sleet and freezing rain. They all cause much destruction, suffering and pain.
When it seems like too much with which to cope, The coming of spring brings us new hope. Changing seasons is a wonderful thing.
Now it's Groundhog Day and we think of Spring. Will Spring come early or will it come late??????
It's time for me to prognosticate. As I study the sun... It's all about fun. But I'm sorry to say..... I see my shadow today. When my shadow I see, Six more weeks of winter there will be!

Yep, that makes it official, I'm sorry to say the Phil has predicted six more weeks of winter... (I hate when that happens!)
If you'd like to join in on the celebration, join the groundhog club, read more about our famous groundhog, watch an Official Documentary, etc. click here: Punxsutawney Groundhog Club.
Yesterday I did get the new online circular for the
$2=SUCCESS downline builder done, uploaded and on the web. As our brand new Phase VII started yesterday I thought I'd better. If you are not yet a member go here $2=SUCCESS read it over, print it out, fill it out, and mail it along with 2 bucks to the address and begin your own way to a nice monthly income!
Looks like we're in for a great day here at my home office today, hopefully I'll get some time to spend on the back deck and soak up some sun. I sure have plenty to do though, and with that in mind, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!

It's another absolutely beautiful sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go all the way up to 38 degrees today! Way above freezing!
It's the first day of a brand new month for 2005. Wow! we've already expended a full month of the brand new year already. I guess time DOES fly when you're havin' fun! It's hard to believe as it just seems like we were celebrating a brand new year. Incidentally, don't forget there are only 327 days until Christmas 2005! Get your shopping done early...  (Ha-Ha)...
Betty and I went out to eat yesterday to our favorite Chinese Restaurant, (buffet), The Brand Buffet in Harrisburg. Our friend, Ken, that owns the place wasn't there as he and his wife had made a trip to New York's Chinatown to buy things for their Chinese New Year celebration on February the 8th, but our very good friend, Jason, the manager, was there on duty as usual. Boy talk about putting in hours, these young people work 12 hour days all week and usually only get one day off a week. That usually falls on a week day as the weekends are too busy with customers. Betty and I love it there as they have a GREAT selection of food and at VERY reasonable prices. If you live locally, click here and get a 10% off coupon: The Brand Buffet
Another thing we love about the restaurant, other than the obvious things like cleanliness, fresh food, etc., is the pleasant attitude of the folks who work there. They are always smiling and welcome you with a big smile. We could learn a lot from these people. As usual we had a great time there.
Big deal! >>>>>>>>>>
Yesterday we got something in the mail that I've been waiting for for several years..... The title to our Jeep Cherokee! Yep the darn thing is FINALLY paid for and belongs to us instead of the bank! Hot dog, it's about time. There is over 50,000 miles on it so now that it's finally paid for, it's half worn out! That's okay though as it will finally feel good to go awhile without those darn car payments. This month it's due for State Inspection and emission checking so I'll probably laying out most of the car payment for that anyway...  It just never quits, does it? Oh well, it still feels good to pay something off every once in a while!
All of the
OAMA "stuff", the Newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory, Statements, and Checks, etc., went into the mail yesterday so if you're a member, you should have your monthly mailing, check, and what ever else you get from the Once A Month Association program in a couple of days. Also, the FREE World Wide Web commission circular went out along with the mailing as well.
I'll be starting to work today on the
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the Tape of the Month program downline reports for the January 31st ending of our Phase VI downline builder. This Phase we had a good many new members join and I'm looking forward to a lot of them joining the main program, the Tape of the Month. Lot's of folks already in the program and they will see a nice rise in their monthly commission checks after this "batch" joins. Of course the deadline to get their applications back here so we can forward them to the Tape of the Month program in the order they belong, will be the end of this month, February 28th. We are really looking forward to a LOT of sign ups..
Hopefully before the end of today I will be updating the online circular here, $2=SUCCESS to the new Phase that starts today, Phase VII! If you'd like to get in on some of the action and start to build your downline for the Tape of the Month program, go there and print the application and sign up for only $2.00. As soon as we receive your application will mail you back a package with a custom promotional circular in it so you can promote and build your own downlines for this Phase VII. It's that easy...... (Names and addresses sources will be provided with your package.)
Well, a quick look at the clock tells me it's time for me to get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!  If you missed yesterday's jokes click here,
