T.G.I.F. Boy what a week! It was a roller coaster ride for me. I was supposed to go in the hospital on Monday and that got canceled at the last minute and I've been flooded all week with applications for the ICL program that we're developed from our pre-launch program. Whew! I'll be working here in my home office probably this entire weekend as I've placed a load of work on the rear burner to get ahead of the mails.. with not much luck... so I'll continue to burn the mid-night oil....
The big snow storm we were supposed to get from yesterday into day kind of fizzled as we ended up with about 3/4 of an inch. That's okay with me as I've had enough snow. We need coal and this winter the coal company is so busy the only time they can deliver it is Sunday morning! So I'll be busy Sunday morning cleaning out around the coal bin so they can get their chute to it.. I hope your weekend it not near as full as mine and that you can get some relaxing time in..  I hope sometime next week I can get caught up enough to at least take a half a day off.
About a half hour ago I tossed some bird seed out front for the birds and now as I look out there 5 squirrels are out stuffing themselves with bird seed! Oh well, I guess they have to eat too.
Well with me, I must get back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend! I'll be posting the Jokes up here in an hour or so....

Still in a deep freeze here in Central Pennsylvania and they're calling for another snow storm starting this afternoon and lasting into tomorrow. Wow! We haven't received much snow since 1997 until this year. It must have been saving it up to dump on us all at once..  Boy, here lately, I think my "get up and go, has got up and went". No energy what-so-ever! I get up and I'm ready to head back to the sack an hour later....  Oh well I know when Spring hits it will give me and a lot of others a pick-me-up!

This office has been busier than flies on a cow's behind all this week as our pre-launch for the ICL program came to an end and now applications are coming in for the main program. I have converted the pre-launch program to a downline building program and that will now end on May 31st. So if you missed out on the pre-launch, don't miss out on the downline builder or if you were in the pre-launch you can now join the downline builder and continue to expand your downline!

Don't believe we've been having snow around here? Check Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 7 on the left side of this page. That's what I call snow! Well, with all the work coming in and I must get out the Once A Month Association statements, newsletter, and Monthly Member Benefit Directory before the end of the month, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!

Back again on a very cold Wednesday here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. I'm back up and running and even have a joke sheet up for today. Will wonders never cease?
To explain what's been happening the last few days. I received a call from the Cardiologists office Friday evening telling me that I was to report to his office Monday morning at 7:30 for blood tests and set up to go into the hospital on Tuesday morning for a Heart Catheter procedure as the doctor felt that at least one of the stents he placed in my heart back in November is failing. I must say it got me excited....
I showed up for the tests etc. and came back home with the idea that I was to report to the hospital the very next morning. Later in the day I received a call from them telling me that I could not get the procedure done on Tuesday as the Blood Doctor wanted me to stop taking my aspirin each day for seven days. Okay.... then I was to go on Monday March 3rd. Another hour later I receive a call from them that if I wanted my regular heart guy to do the job it would have to be March 13th so now I'm going in then. Whew! Boy the way things has been going I hope they don't change it again...
As I was expecting not to be here today all my work is really screwed up so I'd better get back to it, and YOU, YOU have a Wonderful Day!!!

I received a reprieve and did not have to go to the hospital today. It's been a real hassle around here for the past couple of days though..  That's why I haven't had time to get up here and let you know what's happening...  I've been getting overwhelmed by entries for the ICL program from our pre-launch program which has now turned into a downline builder for the ICL program, plus what's going down with the  the doctor's office it's really been hectic..... I'll know more by tomorrow and I'll let you know what's happening...  Sorry I didn't have time to do a joke sheet today I hope to get a new one up tomorrow and I'll also let you know what else is happening...  Hang in there and don't lose interest as I am working to get back on track...

Hello, if you're new to this site Welcome! Those of you who stop back and visit me I'm afraid I found out Friday night that I must go back in the hospital this week.. I should be back in my office on Friday....  Sorry for the inconvenience. I will tell you all about it on Friday..  Have a GREAT week!
Take care.....

T.G.I.F. Yep, here we are again at the beginning of a great weekend. We actually had a small thaw around here yesterday. Here and there where paths were shoveled the grass is peeking through. Snow is melting off the roofs. We are supposed to get above freezing here again today.
Betty and I are in for a small break this morning as we have an appointment to get the Jeep serviced and inspected. Well, I don't know how much of a break it will be as I'll take the laptop along and key in some database names while we wait but then we'll have a nice lunch somewhere and do some shopping for the weekend..
So I'll have to leave for garage this morning before too long....  I do have some things I must get done before I go so for me, at the moment, it's back to work, and for YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

What another GREAT day here in central Pennsylvania.... we're supposed to go up into the 40's today... Wow! we won't know how to act...  It will feel like spring compared to what it's been the last several weeks.... and that's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say......
My Nuclear stress test at the Cardiologist went well yesterday and they are supposed to call me between 3 and 5 PM today and let me know how it turned out..  Got my fingers crossed!
Everyone here in central Pennsylvania are still in snow clean up mode...  The main highways are in great shape but a lot of business places, schools, and secondary roads leave a lot to be desired... Don't forget to see some photos with our snow storm.. check out our Chuck's Daily Phone Gallery 7 ..
Yesterday Betty and I got done 150 statements and mailings for Mark Smith and my Pre-launch for the
International Coin Liquidators and today with about 250 to go we will finish them and get them in today's mail..... With that thought and mind.... for me it's back to work and for YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!

Another beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania! We did get dug out of our snow bank yesterday afternoon thanks to Betty's son and his son.  They did a bank up job and were back in business, so to speak, here again.
That sure worked out fine as I must go for a Nuclear stress test at the Cardiologist first thing this morning and wasn't sure if we'd be able to get out because of the snow storm.. I'm a little antsy about the test but I usually am. Have a few things to get done before we go and only have a few minutes so for me, I'm off, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day! Check out today's jokes there are some good ones in there!

Here it is, Tuesday and we're still snowed in. Betty and I did get a lot done over the weekend and holiday, while we were trapped here in the cottage though. We have a bulk mail ready to go to the post office and I have 100 downline statements ready to go out also for our downline building program for International Coin Liquidators. I only have about 500 more to go and will be working very hard today on them. This snow storm is something else! I'm not supposed to be shoveling anything with my heart problems but I did have fun yesterday shoveling some paths anyway. Today we're going to get some help from one of Betty's sons to dig us out...  I measured that we got 21˝ inches of snow fall here at the Bluebird Cottage on the Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania. With just the little shoveling I did yesterday, I now feel like a truck ran over me!
Want to see some pictures of the situation around here? Just click on the left side of this site on Chuck's Daily Photo Gallery 7. You'll not only see pictures of the snowfall around here but also pictures of our starving "Wild" Rabbit. Poor guy is in a heck of a shape.  Any comments about pictures or anything on this site is very much appreciated... Just click here and email me, Chuck. It's always good to hear from you!
To my mail order friends, we will be starting a pre-launch program for the tape of the month program around the end of this month.
Want to get in at the top of the "forced 5 X 5 matrix?", then click on this to check out the company and to sign up: http://www.tomdanley.com/ Don't forget if you sign up to write in my name and ID sponsoring number : Chuck Rollason #14338. So much to do... statements, also must get the bulk mail to the post office if and when Betty's son gets here..... at any rate it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Day!!!!!!

The beginning of a brand new week and we're in the middle of a huge snow storm here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania.. As I write this it's still snowing and it's been coming down since yesterday morning! We now have over 2 feet and it's growing by the minute!!!
Maybe it's lucky that today is Presidents Day as most people could not get to work, school or what ever. Things have some to a stand still around here and it's no wonder. We are sure not used to this much snow..  I've been bragging that since we bought the Jeep new in 1997 I've only had it in 4 wheel drive for about 10 minutes! That was before the start of this winter though! The four wheel drive is getting a work out this year!
Here's something I thought you may enjoy with Valentine's Day just past:
Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when
asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral
years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.  For lovely eyes,
seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your
food with the hungry.  For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her
fingers through it once a day.  For poise, walk with the
knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than
things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and
redeemed; never throw out anyone.  Remember, if you ever
need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of
your arms.  As you grow older, you will discover that you have
two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping
others.
Lots to get done here in my small office today, holiday or no holiday, so it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day and if your off work, enjoy yourself!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

T.G.I.F. Yep, it's Friday, the weekend is just about here, ready or not! Are you ready for a nice, relaxing, no responsibly weekend? No kids, grandkids,  children, relations, in-laws, to worry about? Just a dream isn't it!  Well, maybe not... all depends where you stand in this wonderful world..
Looks like we're in for a snowy weekend. Snow tonight, snow tomorrow, and then snow again on Sunday.  Looks like the only place I'll be going over the weekend will be via the Internet! I hope it's nice, sunny, and WARM where you are. The cold weather never used to bother me but that was before I reached geezer status..  Now it brings out all of the aches and pains. Well, enough good stuff about me...  Don't forget, take your sweetie out to eat and how about a movie?

In the meantime... it's time for me to get ready for our weekend.... I have a million things to get done... soooooooo..... for me it's back to work and for YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!!!

A VERY cold night last night. I sure hope if anyone had any outside animal pets around our area made sure they had a way to keep warm last night as it was a Real freezer here in Central Pennsylvania...  I think, at least in this area, we're all ready for Spring! I know I sure am! I hope it's warmer where you are and you're nice and comfy.
I received an email newsletter yesterday that had something in it I'd like to pass on to you.  Some fun, help and much more......

Be our Valentine
As you may have heard, Valentine's Day is fast approaching. What better way to warm the winter chill than with this collection of screensavers, wallpapers, poems, music, and images? Even you romantic traditionalists need an occasional break from bouquets and romantic cards. Show that special someone how much you care the Download.com way.

There's a lot there to enjoy. Go ahead take a few minutes and have some fun...
I stopped at the hardware store yesterday and picked up another 22 lbs. of wild bird seed. If it's cold and snowy where you are don't forget about our feathered friends. They can use some extra help this time of the year to find some food..
I'm looking forward to get a lot of stuff done here, today at my home office so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!

A beautiful but cold day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. It was snowing right up until dark here last evening and the birds and our "Wild Rabbit", was eating food we had put out for them like there was to be no tomorrow. Maybe the snow had them scared that it would be awhile before they were able to find food again..  Who knows what birds think and especially that darned rabbit! At any rate they sure did stuff themselves..
I did a lot of printing yesterday with my state of the art Japanese printer. I got a lot of print jobs and stuff I needed for myself to print for the office...  Also, got a lot of other work that needed to be done and mailed that had to go out. It turned out to be a pretty good day.
Today I'll be working on my magazine/newsletter and bulk mail. I must get those done to concentrate on the pre-launch program and get out the statements for that... Whew!  Sounds like a busy day so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Yesterday was a GREAT day! I managed to get a ton of stuff done. Things are going well here in my small home office.
It's hard to believe but
officially Mark Smith & My New Pre-Launch For International Coin Liquidators ended on the 31st day of January but would you believe folks are still joining the program. Today I received 23 more entries! We now have over 500 entries! That's a good thing as Martha Stewart would say.
We're back into another freeze here in Central Pennsylvania and had a couple of inches of snow yesterday. Just enough to make some streets slippery and cause a bunch of fender benders. Things are more back to normal around this area today. I'll be staying home and be working in the office all day today. Plenty around here to get done that's for sure. So for me it's back to work and for YOU, YOU have  a GREAT day!!!
Check out today's jokes if you get a chance.... there are some good ones in there today!

The beginning of a brand new week! Hot dog! It's going to be a good one too! I have that feeling again. It's great to be back on the web again...  Well, I really wasn't off that long but as I explained Friday I had a multitude of sins after my Web Domain was switched from one server to another. I had to upload each and every file that was on my original site. That's about 5 years worth. I have over 4 times the room on my new server that I had on the old one so I guess in a way it was all worth it. I just wish it would have been a smoother move. It wasn't just this, Chuck's Daily, that was down, but my entire site: www.homebucks.com  I was worried there for awhile but I had it all back up except a few pages about 10 of 'em that I really had a problem getting back where they belonged and I had a lot of graphics that I had to re-upload. I think I have about all back in shape now. (At least I sure hope so!)
Here are some GREAT facts that I ran into that I thought may interest you and pick up your day:

Q. What occurs more often in December than any other month?
A. Conception.

Q. What separates "60 Minutes," on CBS from every other TV show?
A. No theme song

Q. Half of all Americans live within 50 miles of what?
A. Their birthplace.

Q. Most boat owners name their boats. What is the most popular
boat name requested?
A. Obsession

Q. If you were to spell out numbers, how far would you have to go
until you would find the letter "A"?
A. One thousand

Q. What do bulletproof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers, and
laser printers all have in common?
A. All invented by women.

Q. What is the only food that doesn't spoil?
A. Honey

Q. There are more collect calls on this day than any other day of
the year?
A. Father's Day

Q. What trivia fact about Mel Blanc (voice of Bugs Bunny) is the
most ironic?
A. He is allergic to carrots.

Q. What is an activity performed by 40% of all people at a party?
A. Snoop in your medicine cabinet.

I thought you'd get a kick out of them. They are all true..  Well, lots of work to get done today, here in my small home office so for me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. Boy I'll say! I've finally got most of my stuff back up on the site and in proper order. I sure hope this darn new server works out as that is a mess! I thought I'd put this up to let you know that we ARE back up and running. If you click around my site and find anything missing, a picture, a bad link, etc. I would appreciate it if you would email me at: chuck@homebucks.com and let me know about it.. Thanks, in advance. Well, you can imagine how far I'm behind on work now that I've spent most of the day working on my site....  Boy am I ever glad that I'm on high speed Internet connection as if I was on dial up, I'd be here for at least a week getting done what I've just done!  Listen, it's almost 3:30 in the afternoon and my post office closes at 4:30 so I'd better get back to work and get a couple of things done so I can head for the post office and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

Sorry for the inconvenience as late yesterday afternoon I had my domain switched from one server to another and have lost many, many files... I'm working on it now and expect to have everything back up and running properly by Monday morning.. Please bear with me.. It's about 1 in the morning now and I see I'm not going to get it all done without taking a sleep break...  I'll be working on it throughout today.. You can keep checking back and see my progress.....  Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Thursday, February 6, 2003

It's a beautiful, cold morning here in Central Pennsylvania but by tonight we are supposed to get snow.... (Again)  Oh well, it is pretty when it snows around here.
Al lot of folks are starting to receive their income tax refund checks and folks are buying stuff right and left.. Especially the younger crowd. Seems like no one mentioned to them that they could stash some of it back for a rainy day or for the future. They have it and it's burning a hole in their pockets! This time of the year more big gifts are purchased than around Christmas I think. I swear they act like it's FREE money, and it's just there to be spent, and the sooner the better!
Oh well, after all it IS their money! And they can do what they want with it! If you don't believe me, just try suggesting to your kid or grand kid to do something constructive with their income tax return and they'll sure as heck tell you!

Income tax tip...... don't fall for rumors ... here's one that has been going around for quite some time.....
***************
The pre-printed label on your federal tax forms contains a secret code that tells the IRS auditors whether or not to audit you. If you throw the label away, you won't be audited.
*******************
This rumor was spread from one worried (and hopeful) taxpayer to another, especially in the weeks leading up to April 15.
*******************
The Truth is..... The label is actually there to reduce processing costs, lower the risk for error, and speed the delivery of tax refunds. "It does contain coding information," says Mary Turville, an accountant with the National Society of Accountants, "but it has to do with mail routes and the form package you used in the past. There is no way to trace your tax return from the label."

As I look around the office and outside my sliding glass door, I can't decide who is the busiest, me or the 3 squirrels eating some squirrel food I placed out on the sidewalk for them. I'm not sure but they can't seem to decide to eat it all where they are, or carry some of it back to their nests for later. Well, I don't know about the squirrels, but for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

The middle of the week and all is going smoothly here at the Blue Bird Cottage along the mighty Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania. It's a beautiful day here but it becoming much colder. We did enjoy a few warm days.
All went well at the doctor yesterday and got a few blood tests that I must wait for for the results..
Received a good many orders yesterday including name orders and typesetting for ads on labels orders. Then too, the entries are still coming in for our pre-launch program so all in all it's keeping be very busy. Today will be a great day to get caught up with this work... and I'm really looking forward to it.
To my mail order friends.... if you'd like to get "in at the beginning" for a change when a program is just starting to be presented now's your chance! I've just joined the "Tape of the Month" program, (name: Chuck Rollason, ID # 14338). I will be forming a "Pre-Launch program by the end of this month for this program and expect to get hundreds in it before the end of the pre-launch. If you'd like to "get in at the beginning", now's you chance. To get more information and sign up, click on the site above..
Lot's to get done today, here in my small office for for me it's back to work.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Good Morning! It's going to be a GREAT day today. I won't be in the office much until this afternoon as it's another trip to the doctor for some tests....  Nothing radical....  so afterward we'll have to do some grocery shopping. I have tons of work that I didn't get done from yesterday but it will have to wait 'til later today. I'm probably be pulling another long night tonight. Probably 'til about midnight. Oh well, I'll be out today for awhile... It's worth it!
It's been much warmer here for the last couple of days but it looks like that is coming to an end this afternoon as colder air is supposed to move in. Oh well, it IS still winter time here in the mid state...
Here are some more loony laws to pick up your day:

In Columbus, Montana, it's a misdemeanor to pass the Mayor on the street without tipping your hat!

It's illegal to throw an onion in Princeton, Texas!

Kentucky law requires that every person in the state take a bath at least once a year!

It's against the law to pawn your wooden leg in Delaware!

I received a one dollar bill today with "www.wheresgeorge.com" written on the top of it. I went to the site and entered the serial number of the dollar bill and found out where it had been last..  Several states away! It's pretty neat. You can enter one of your own bills and then check often to find out where you bill goes... Check it out sounds like fun!

Well, it's about time to leave for my appointment so for me, I'm gone.... and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!

Here we are in a brand new month. We're out of the deep freeze here at the Blue Bird cottage in Central Pennsylvania at least for a few days! It feels great to be able to take a walk outside! Yesterday was the first time I was able to take an outdoors walk in over 3 weeks and it really felt good!
Here is the weather forecast from our most prominent Pennsylvania weather forecaster!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

On Gobbler's Knob, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania at 7:27 a.m. this Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2003, Punxsutawney Phil, King of Groundhogs, Seer of Seers, imitated but never equaled, responded to the summons of Groundhog President Bill Cooper. Bill Deeley, his friend and Handler greeted him affectionately and placed him atop his domicile, the old oak stump. From this lofty seat he addressed the large enthusiastic throng of faithful followers, wishing them a "Happy Groundhog Day." Phil may be as cute as a Beanie Baby but when he predicts in his Groundhogese there is no maybe. He directed president Bill to the appropriate scroll which reads:

Governor Rendell joins this joyful throng
of several thousand strong
and he like everyone will thrill
at seeing the magic on this hill
as I make my prognostication
and give my justification:
I see my shadow beside me
and that is that magic you see.
It causes this midwinter revelry,
six more weeks of winter there will be.

Well, there you go... who can contest it? It must be true.... darn.... 6 more weeks of winter.... Oh well, best to get it right from the groundhog's mouth!
Beginning of a brand new month and a Monday which is a really big mail day.. so I'd better get my butt back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. Yep ready or not the weekend is almost here. I'm really not ready for it yet as I did get plenty done yesterday, however I did not finish all of the OAMA stuff... so it's the nose to the grind stone today. It's going to be a great day today! The weather here in Central Pennsylvania is a little on the rough side with freezing rain and snow for today and tomorrow... but you can't have everything....

With our government in the news a lot lately, here's some real "Old Time" humor to pick up your day!

Will Rogers on the Government and Politics

* "I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the
  facts."

* "With Congress, every time they make a joke it's a law, and
every time they make a law it's a joke."

* "Never blame a legislative body for not doing something. When
they do nothing, that don't hurt anybody. When they do something
is when they become dangerous."

* "Be thankful we're not getting all the government we're paying
  for."

* "The trouble with practical jokes is that very often they get
  elected."

* "The short memories of American voters is what keeps our
  politicians in office."

* "The more you read and observe about this Politics thing, you
got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one
that's out always looks the best."

* "Our public men are speaking every day on something, but they
  ain't saying anything."

* "The budget is a mythical bean bag. Congress votes mythical
beans into it, and then tries to reach in and pull real beans out."

* "If you ever injected truth into politics you have no politics."

* "Everything is changing. People are taking the comedians
seriously and the politicians as a joke."

* "The income tax has made liars out of more Americans than golf."

* "The only difference between death and taxes is that death
doesn't get worse every time Congress meets."

* "I don't want to complain, but every time they build a tax
structure, the first thing they nail is me.

For me it's back to the grindstone here, but YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend! (I'll see you back here Monday, in February!)

Another beautiful but cold day here, in Central Pennsylvania at the Blue Bird Cottage. It's cold and crisp out. I guess that's the best way to describe it here. It's supposed to warm up a little today near the freezing mark of 32 degrees. Sounds good to me. The birds and squirrels must already know this as they are out moving around early here looking for food.
Everything is going smoothly here in my small office on the east side of the cottage and I'll be working all day today on the Once A Month Association writing a Newsletter, revising the Monthly Member Benefit Directory, and Revising the Quarterly Dealer Directory. I'm not sure If I'll get to running the statements and checks today but if I can finish the rest, I'll be a happy camper.

Here are some more goofy laws that believe it or not, are still on the books to hopefully brighten your day:

California law forbids sleeping in the kitchen.. but allows cooking in the bedroom!

It's a felony in Montana for a wife to open a telegram addressed to her husband. (It's not a crime for the husband to open telegrams addressed to his wife!)

You can gargle in Louisiana if you want to, but it's against the law to do it in public!

In Maryland it's against the law for grandchildren to marry their grandparents!

It's against the law to anchor your boat to the train tracks in Jefferson City, Missouri!

Mail order friends, don't miss tomorrow Daily as I'll be putting up an opportunity that if you like it and take advantage, you can pretty well be assured of success!

That's about it for today and I'd better get to work on the OAMA stuff so for me I'm back to work, and for YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!
