FOR COUNTDOWN TO NEW YEAR!
T.G.I.F.
It's another cloudy morning here in Central Pennsylvania to finish up the last
day of 2004. Another year has gone by. Wow! Seems like it flew by.
I hope you're ready for a brand new year because, ready or not, it's almost
here. Just a few more hours. If you are going out tonight to do any partying,
for goodness sakes be careful on the roads. If you're going to do any
drinking, get yourself a designated driver and go somewhere where you can take
a cab to get home. Don't take any chances with your life or with others.. It's
not worth it just to have a little fun.
I was reading an article in, (of all places), the Enquirer Tabloid about
Spyware. They estimate that the average computer has about 500 pieces of
Spyware on it! Spyware can keep track of what sites you visit on-line, and
steal MP3s and other items you've downloaded, and snatch your e-mail
addresses. What's worse, it can be used for identity theft by stealing your
banking information and passwords. You usually pick up Spyware when you
download freeware or shareware programs. They can make your computer run
slower, crash your computer more often, or even take you to search engines
you've never heard of.
There is a bright side, however.... There are two FREE programs that you can
download from the Internet to help rid your computer of these woes. Spybot or
S&D (Search & Destroy) at
www.safer-networking.org and you can also download Ad-Aware at
www.lavasoftusa.com It's up to you to
take care of your good ole computer... Start the new year right and
check yours out.
Are you going to make any resolutions for the new year? I think I'll make just
two... Walk more and try to listen to more books. Yep, you read it right,
"listen" to more books. I really don't have the time to read that many books
although I do read several a year. But I can listen to audio books while I'm
doing something else. I have tons of audio books on tape, CD, and digital
media. If I run out, it's no problem as I can get them at my library at NO
CHARGE! They loan them to me for 14 days with no charge at all and they
have hundreds if not thousands of them. Many kinds of genre, like mystery,
detective, non fiction, sci-fi and the list goes on and on. They record all
kinds of books even biographies! Try it, you'll like it.......
Well, today is the end of the year and I have tons of stuff to get done before
we head up to our neighbors to see in the New Year. Thank goodness that
neighbor is only about 1,000 feet up our lane so we won't have far to drive
home after midnight. As far as drinking goes, I don't any more, so there is no
worry there, but that late with others that do, on the road, I'm still glad I
don't have to drive out on the main highway!
I'm getting back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Friday
and a GREAT New Year Weekend!!!! Drive safely and defensively!
The Computer and I will see you, right back here, on Monday. The first Monday
of the year 2005!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

It's a cloudy morning here
at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. We are supposed to see some
sun off and on today. It is warming up a bit and supposed to be in the mid 40s
today. Looks like we are going into the New Year with above normal
temperatures. That's okay with me as I'm tired of Winter already. After the
Christmas season, I've had enough. I know, we have January, February and most
of March before we see anything that resembles really nice, warm weather, but
I can still dream, can't I?
Here's the latest pictures of the ice on the river that I promised you
yesterday. I took only 3 to give you an idea of just how much more has formed.
However, if we get warmer temperatures over the next week as the weatherman
promises, the ice will disappear for awhile. Click here, they are the last 3
pictures at the bottom:

Looks like we're getting a
tiny break on gasoline prices here in Pennsylvania so our PA legislators
decided that now is a great time to raise taxes on gasoline. They figure since
the prices have dropped a little, most people who drive won't notice it! Where
the heck are they living! Prices are already up about 50 to 60 cents of what
they were last year! Oh sure they been up around $2 bucks for a few months so
now I guess the legislators figure that must be the normal price of gasoline.
Bull!!! It's still not down where it should be... I has a long way to go
to get back to "normal", that's for sure! Of course these "eggheads" that run
our government are provided with FREE cars and FREE gasoline because they're
government "big shots", so what the heck do they care?
I truly think it's time to "clean house" (and Senate), and dump them and put
all new people in their jobs.. Let's make a new rule, NO LAWYERS ARE
ALLOWED TO RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE! That won't guarantee that we will get all
honest people in public offices, but by golly it will give us a better chance
of it!!!
Things are going to be very busy in this home office and in our house here
'til after New Year's day. I still have the
OAMA "stuff", the Newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory,
Statements, and Checks, etc.,
to do and get out by January 1, 2004. I was going to take a long weekend so
now that's out of the question. I should be back here tomorrow with a last
post before the New Year. Until then it's back to work for me and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's overcast and cloudy
here in Central Pennsylvania this morning. The sun is supposed to peak through
from time to time and it's supposed to warm up into the 40s today! A lot
better than it has been for awhile.
The river has a lot more ice on it than yesterday and if it doesn't soon warm
up around here it will be solid in a few more days. I'll try to get a picture
of it today to post up here for you to see.. Click here to see when the
ice first started to form on the river last week.

Thank goodness we just got
a new load of coal last week as the furnace/stoker stove is really "chewing"
it up. I don't mind though as long as we keep nice in toasty here along the
mighty Susquehanna River that runs through our back yard. Boy, when the ice
gets on the river and the wind blows across it, when it reaches here it's can
be might blustery and cold. As our cottage is surrounded by windows.... it's
tough to keep all of the wind outside. So when the wind kicks up, we can feel
it in here and our stocker has to kick into a higher gear to keep up with it.
I wouldn't trade where we live though, even though we we through another flood
back in September. Check out
Chuck's Daily Photo
Gallery 16-A and
Chuck's Daily Photo
Gallery 16-B to see the
pictures, it's still a wonderful place to live most of the year, and a
beautiful one at that!
Betty and I were invited up to the neighbors for New Year's Eve again this
year. It's really great as they always put on a big "feed" and everyone has a
great time. They also play the game charades and everyone is supposed to
participate. The only thing about that is Betty hates to play charades! She
does it anyway to "go along" with the flow but she even said she may not go
this year as she doesn't want to play the game.. I told her to tell them
she had a headache or something... after all she's a woman and could get away
with that one easily.... (I'm not sure if that suggestion set good or not?)
I need some more good excuses for her so if you have a good one, let me know
about it.. Just drop me an email, address is right below at the end of this
post.
Well the month is winding down and all of my "end of the month" stuff is due
to be done by Friday evening. The one that takes up the most time is the
OAMA "stuff", the Newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory,
Statements, and Checks, etc.
I hope to be starting some of that stuff today.. With that in mind, I guess
it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT

The sun's coming out and
back in here in Central Pennsylvania this morning. It's supposed to go all the
way up to 32 degrees above here today. Looks like it may be a pretty good day
to get a lot done here in my home office.
We went out yesterday afternoon and stopped for lunch. We then went for a walk
through Circuit City to see the sales they had going on. It really wasn't that
terrific. The parking lots were stuffed to the max with people. I think we'll
do better when the dust settles..... Then they will have more sales on
as they'll be fighting for customers. Looks like a lot of folks had the same
idea as we did.....
I did get my Christmas presents from Betty yesterday.. I got a stack of 100
DVD blanks for my DVD burner and also another CD/DVD wallet that holds 128
DVDs or CDs or both.. Two things that I can really use.. I decided to
get her another pair of good shoes from
Zappo's on the WEB. They had a nice sale going on.... I bought her a
pair of walking shoes for her birthday, Brooks Addiction Walker Velcro -
white. They normally retail for $88.00 but were on sale for $64.90. She liked
them so much that she asked if I would get her another pair just like them....
Two weeks ago I tried to order a pair, they were on sale even more for $60.90,
(4 bucks cheaper!), but they were out of the color white. I was disappointed
but they said to check a box and they would let me know when they got them
back in stock which I did. To my surprise in 4 days later they sent me an
email that they were now back in stock. I ordered them immediately and within
3 days they were at my door! They are a GREAT place to do business with.
Shipping was FREE... If not satisfied, they don't fit, or anything,
return is also FREE! You can't beat service like that! It's better than
standing in line at the brick and mortar store!
I did get a mess of mail yesterday and I must get to work on it.... so for me
it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Monday the beginning of a
brand new week.... and it's a beautiful sunny one, but a very cold morning
here in Central Pennsylvania. It's going to be a very productive day though as
I'm ready to get back to work now after a break over the weekend.
We had a GREAT Christmas here at the Blue Bird Cottage and I hope you did as
well.. We still have a bunch of gifts under our tree that we didn't get
a chance to distribute over the Christmas weekend but I'm sure we'll get it
done this week. It's really hard to get to see the whole family, when your
family gets as big as ours, in just a couple of days.. Oh, we could do
it, but finding everyone at home so we can stop in and pass out gifts, that's
the hard part!
I took a few pictures on Saturday and Sunday and you can see them if you click
right here:
Chuck's
Christmas Photos - 2004
I only put up a few but it'll give you an idea what it's like around our
house..
I originally put them up on the Comcast Server as I do have some free picture
space there because they ARE my high speed internet supplier. Then I went to
there to put up a link for you. I realized that for someone to check out the
pictures they would have to "jump through hoops" to get to them! Heck, you
have to put in your email address and then create a password..... etc...
that's bull crap so I just put them up on my own site. Now all you have to do
is click the link
Chuck's
Christmas Photos and
bingo, you're at the pictures.. I guess nothing is really for FREE. In
this case it's not even a good perk for one of their customers as far as I'm
concerned. Oh well, such is life!
Today should be a fantastic day at the post office... I should be getting
plenty of mail and I love it! That's what keeps me in business... here at my
home office.
I still have some things to get done before my trip to the post office so for
me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Monday!!!!

T.G.I.F.
The day before Christmas and it's a
beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania. Although there is another cold
snap moving back in we look forward to having a GREAT
Christmas!
We used to have a big get together Christmas Eve
and all the kids, grandkids and great grandkids would come to eat and exchange
gifts. However, as we got older, we've sort of given that up as the kids have
kids of their own, etc. more and more of them wanted to stay at their own
homes on Christmas. Then we decided we'd
all get together the Sunday after Christmas.
That worked about half the time as it was tough for everyone to show up. Some
worked, some had other schedules and some just couldn't make it. So we gave
that idea up.
Now, on Christmas Day, Betty and I load up
the Jeep with all the gifts for everyone and we play Santa Claus. We try to
visit everyone's houses to pass out the gifts and visit for a few minutes. I
kind of like it better this way as it gives us a chance to see how everyone
else's trees are decorated and their homes. We have a ball.
Looking at tomorrow's weather it looks like it will be pretty good except it's
supposed to really be quite cold. That shouldn't be too bad though..... after
all it is Christmas. We can't expect it to
be balmy.
If you have small kids or grand kids and you think they might enjoy "tracking
Santa Claus" in his travels tonight, check out the place to do it right here:
Track Santa
You'll probably have as much fun as the kids!
Well I know, this post is pretty short today... but I have a million things to
get done as well before the BIG day so for me, right now, it's back to work,
and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Christmas!!! If
you are traveling over the holiday weekend, PLEASE drive safely! The
Computer and I want to see you, right back here, on Monday Morning!
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a GREAT
Holiday!!!!!!!

It's a cloudy, rainy, and
very windy morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. We
should be able to get a lot done here in my home office today as going
outdoors will be out of the question.
The coal man got here last night to deliver our 3 tons of coal. Boy I'm glad
that's over with.... Looks like 3 tons is shrinking as it doesn't even
begin to fill my 3 ton bin by a long shot... of course the coal man offered
for me to go down to his scales to check the weight. No, I didn't feel
like re-loading it onto the truck for a trip down to his scales....
Bah, humbug! I asked him why coal
shot up in price so much since we got it last time, 10 months ago and his
reply was, "You can't get it anymore!" I asked him what the heck he was
talking about as they "grew" it in Pennsylvania! I don't care he said, I've
had customers waiting on nut coal, (we get Rice Coal), since early November.
Well, I said, if it's in short supply, although I have no idea why, except the
coal man said "They can't get it out of the mines." Whatever the hell that
means????? They had no problem "getting it out of the mines" for the
last couple of hundred years, now all of a sudden that's a problem?
Hmmmmmm... sounds fishy to me.... The reason I was upset about the
whole deal is that only 3 tons of coal went up $53.00 in just 10 months!
That's a heck of a rise in price.. Of course, personally, I think they
just upped it as they know that heating oil and gas has risen dramatically
this year so they, (the coal industry), as usual, is just "jumping on the
bandwagon!) Bah, Humbug!
Heck gasoline alone is up an average of 53˘ more a gallon than it was last
year at this time.....
I'm sure glad that the Social Security Administration, (The Government), gave
our seniors their usual couple of percent increase for the "cost of living"
increase for last year as they're really going to need it this year! Oops, I
forgot they, (the government), took the raise back by upping the cost in
Medicare deductions they are now taking from the Seniors. That covered the
increase plus, Geez, I guess the Seniors didn't get any raise at all. I guess
they'll just have to shut their heat off a couple of days a week to make up
for the increase in costs..... Bah, Humbug!
I guess I should be happy today, as at least we missed the big snow storms
here in the east. Our poor neighbors in Ohio and the mid west was not so lucky
and really got "dumped on!".. Well, look at the bright side, they WILL
have a White Christmas. We'll have a wet one here but not the frozen kind of
precipitation....
I was going to shut down early this week and not put up a post for tomorrow,
but I figure I'll have to do some work tomorrow anyway so I WILL put up
a post tomorrow here, along with a new Joke sheet.. I figure I'm not the
only one who will have to work tomorrow... Maybe you can stop by and read the
Joke sheet at least.... Some great chuckles in today's as there will be
tomorrow.....Just click below.....
Well, for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
day!!!!

It's a beautiful sunny
morning here in Central Pennsylvania and it's supposed to go all the way up to
around 45 degrees today! Definitely going to be a GREAT day!
We were supposed to get a load of coal in Monday here at the Blue Bird
Cottage. A lady called from the coal company to say that all the coal was
frozen into a large pile and they would not be able to deliver it on Monday. I
asked her when it could be delivered.... well, she just couldn't deliver it
any more this week as this was was Christmas. I asked about next Monday as we
have enough to last that long.... She said she'd check with the owner
and get back to me... I waited until this morning and after no word I
thought I'd better call. I got the owner and after some deliberation he
decided he could deliver it tonight around 6:30PM. That will be long after
dark but I said okay as I sure don't want to run out this time of the year...
I just can't believe how high the price of coal has risen. I guess I should
though as every time gasoline and fuel oil goes up the coal people "jump on
the band wagon" and raise their prices. I asked them, up at the coal mines, a
few years ago, why their prices keep going up outrageously and the guy said
well, "We have to use gasoline to dig the coal." Oh yeah sure.... that's about
the lamest excuse I've ever heard. Oh well, I don't know what I expected to
hear. He sure as heck wasn't going to say, "Well if you had oil or gas heat,
you'd be paying a fortune so why shouldn't we "screw" you too? I think that's
the going thing today. "Screw your fellow Americans."
The big oil companies do it all the time. "Screw" us that is... They
tell us OPEC has cut down production to raise oil prices, (which of course
they use to refine gasoline from), and right away they start to raise their
prices at the pumps. But when OPEC steps up production and the oil prices
drop, the oil companies say they can't drop the prices at the pumps for awhile
because the oil they are now buying cheaper has not been delivered yet, and is
in tankers on the ocean. Yeah right...
Well, I found out that there are oil companies who do not import crude oil
from over seas. Even though they apparently ride the prices up and down with
what they can get, I may still feel better if I didn't buy gas to support
people who are trying to kill us... You know, like the Saudis.
If you'd like to see the oil companies that DO NOT buy any oil from the Middle
East, click here:
Gasoline Solutions
We can all do something to support American companies that do not depend on
foreign oil. If you're tired of the Arabs deciding if you can afford to go on
an auto trip to visit relatives, then do your part!
So.... hopefully we'll get stocked up on coal tonight... $439 for 3 tons of
coal.... Like I mentioned the other day it only sounds, real bad, as I
do remember when coal was about $12 bucks a ton..... A heck of a
difference..... isn't it????? I must say though, that is the delivered
price..... Actually that's not even a truck load as when he delivers coal to
us he always waits till he has at least one other delivery for our area. He
still charges the same delivery rate though!
I guess that enough bitching for today and maybe even the rest of this year!
I doubt it though.... I like to bitch too much just to quit, "cold
turkey!"
That's about it for today as I must get back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT Wednesday!!

It's a cloudy morning here
at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania.... It was really cold again
last night and is only 18 degrees above as I write this post. The mighty
Susquehanna River, (that runs through our back yard), is full of ice. Not
quite enough to stop the flow as of yet though. It may not stop just yet, as
it's supposed to warm up above freezing today and tomorrow. Now they are
calling for rain Thursday instead of snow so it looks like we will not have a
white Christmas here in Central Pennsylvania.... Oh well, can't have
everything.....
There's only a couple of shopping days left before Christmas is upon us.....
The sales are REALLY coming out now... If you're not done shopping as
of yet, you may be in luck and save some money as the retailers are going all
out with "last minute" sales this week! The local paper is filled with new ads
every day!!!
Today is Tuesday, the first day of Winter! It's also the shortest day of the
year. It's called WINTER SOLSTICE. Click here for a more
scientific explanation of the shortest day in the Northern Hemisphere:
WINTER
SOLSTICE Of course there are also lots of celebrations all over
the world for this time of the year.... Even "Stonehenge" had one. Check here
to read more about it:
Stonehenge Yep, it's a great time of the year... Actually, the
best thing I like about it is the fact that after today, the days will be
getting longer. I hate short winter days!
Can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit? Here are a few Christmas links
that may spark the "fuzzy warm feeling" for you:
Christmas.com,
Santa.com,
Christmas On The Net,
Merry-Christmas.com, and here's
a GREAT one! Santa Claus and Christmas at
the North Pole.
There's a lot more but these few should get a little stir of the "fuzzy
feeling" going for you....
Lot's of work to get done today here in my home office as the mail yesterday
was REALLY big for Christmas week. I'm still getting lots of applications for
our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the
Tape of the Month program. The rate of sign-up has really been GREAT
lately! More and more folks are starting to realize that a home business is
crucial for, if nothing else, necessary to supplement Social Security checks
when you get old enough to receive them, (If it's still around by then! Social
Security that is!)
The
Tape of the Month company is now in it's 7th year and doing quite well. I
should surely be around many years to come... This isn't a bad company
to start your home business portfolio with. There are many more good ones
around, some being listed right here, on this site.... Check around it
while you're here. If you don't have the time, right now, bookmark this site
and come back later when you do!
Well, as I look around at the piles of work on my desks.... it's time for me
to get my butt back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT Tuesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny
morning here in Central Pennsylvania but it is VERY burrrrrrrr, COLD!!!!! It
went down to 8 degrees last night and it's only 11 degrees here as I write!
That is COLD for Central Pennsylvania!!!
It's going to get worse, here at the Blue Bird Cottage a little after noon as
we have coal ordered and the coal man is due here then. Our coal bin is in the
small attached garage at the end of our cottage and for him to get coal into
it we must open a pretty big door to run the coal chute in and it will be open
for a least a half an hour. That's where our pump and hot water heater and a
lot of pipes are located and it's not supposed to go above 20 degrees here
today. So after he leaves I'm going to have to put my propane heater out there
for awhile to warm it up a bit. We're getting 3 tons of coal so that coal will
be like a giant ice cube out there. It will take days for it to warm up.....
Can you believe, $439.00 for only 3 tons of coal! No, I'm not going to
rant today about costs going up but that's a hard pill to swallow when I can
remember buying coal for $12 Bucks a ton!!!
Our new coal furnace did great overnight also. It kept it pretty comfortable
in the main part of the cottage and it was even running at top speed.....
I did finally get a chance to "fine tune" the coal feed etc., as this was the
first time it was actually cold enough to keep it running long enough at full
tilt to adjust it.
We also had some snow over night but not that much. Actually less than three
quarters of an inch, I would say. There was some rain before it turned to snow
so it made the highways around here very slippery and we had plenty of wreaks
and "fender benders".... Thank goodness we didn't have to go anywhere
and thank goodness also that I didn't have to get up this morning and "fight"
my way to work. That's another nice "perk" for having my own home
business...... I just walk to the end of the Cottage and "bingo", I'm at
work!
I should be getting a lot of mail today, you know, Monday's mail bag, so it
should be busy as soon as I can get to the post office. Also the coal man is
on his way and I must clean up some stuff in the garage so he can get his coal
chute in..... Soooooooo ..... for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT Monday!!!!

T.G.I.F.
It's another beautiful, sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania and it's
supposed to warm up into the 40s today. Wow, not real good, but I'll take what
I can get!
We had a GREAT day here yesterday and got a good bit done.....
This is the last weekend before Christmas and if you don't have all of your
shopping done as of yet, now's the time to get it done. There are better sales
out there now than there were on Black Friday. All the stores want to grab all
the business they can before the Christmas season is over and hordes of people
are back in their stores returning items. If it's sales and good buys you
want, this is the weekend to shop.
Thank goodness we have all of our shopping done, (I think), and Betty has
everything wrapped and under the tree. We had to get a smaller tree so
we had more room for presents.
I was dumb enough to believe, back when I was raising 4 children that when
they grew up, we would get a break from buying all the gifts....
The real truth is that the gift buying becomes larger and larger as the kids'
families keep growing... Now we have the kids, plus the grandkids, and now we
even have great grand children. It's really fun, but boy is it every
exhausting!
Every year Betty is wrapping more and more gifts and our Christmas list just
keeps growing and growing.....
We drove home last night, after dark, and really got a beautiful light shows
from all the houses we passed with nice Christmas light displays. It was
really cool. Me, I want to get out of the car and take pictures of them
all.... If that was the case though, we'd probably still be on our way
home.....
Betty gets tired of Christmas after a while but I'm the kind that would like
it to stay Christmas all year long... I know, every year I'm begging her for
us to let the tree up, just one more day. But eventually, she puts her foot
down and the the tree comes down with it. I know she's right but still I hate
to see it come down. It's good we have an artificial tree as a real one would
shed till there was nothing left but the stump waiting for me to take it down.
When the kids were small we always had a real tree, but it always worried me
that a fire may occur because of the tree drying out. Now, thank goodness,
that's one worry I don't have to deal with.
At any rate.... by the looks of the piles on my desks, I have a load of stuff
to get done before my weekend starts, so for me, it's time to get back to
work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

And yet another beautiful
sunny day here in Central Pennsylvania... We're still in a cold snap
though and it is VERY cold here.
We ate at our favorite
Chinese Restaurant yesterday and our friend, Jason, the manager's
Sony notebook computer was very sick so he gave it to me to bring home and see
what I could do with it.... Seems he upgraded to Windows XP and since then has
had nothing but problems. Mainly his Windows Media player would not recognize
his DVD drive to play movies and this apparently his his only entertainment as
he does not watch TV. I brought it home and spent several hours on it but did
get it repaired and working in tip top shape. Seems that when he upgraded the
DVD decoder supplied by Sony was not compatible with Win XP and was worthless.
No decoder, no DVD.... I checked Sony for an update... No such luck... After
searching the WEB for "quite a while" hunting for a FREE decoder that was
compatible, I finally threw up my hands and bought and downloaded one from the
company, "Interactive". Now everything is working fine so we'll have to drop
off Jason's computer.... I'm sure Jason, (Lan Tian), will be happy but I
didn't get a chance to even get my mail looked at yesterday! Today, around
here in this home office, will be VERY busy!
I received a two day delivery package from my favorite company to promote
yesterday, "Elements" with
a load of the new large promotional postcards in it. Boy they sure are
colorful and do catch your eye. Jeff Charlton in the monthly newsletter did
say that so far they some to be "drawing" a good response. I sure hope so as
it's 37˘ to mail the larger postcard. They better draw to make it worth it.
Number one, those full color postcards must cost a bundle to print, as just an
extra hundred costs $29 or 29˘ a piece + the 37˘ postage.... That's a
total of 66˘ a piece to get them out. I'm hoping they are getting a GREAT
draw! Betty and I will be mailing another 200 of them this week. 100 for her
and 200 for me.... I guess only time will tell... If you haven't checked
out this re-invented company that sprang from the old Coin Saver's Club click
here to have a look,
"Elements". If you like silver and gold coins and also quality gold and
silver jewelry, you'll love this company's products. Also, the business
opportunity can't be beat. Even if you're not interested in the business
opportunity, you can purchase products directly from the web site...
Have a look, you'll love it!
Well, lots to get done around here, so it's back to work for me, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Thursday!!!

It's another beautiful
sunny but very cold morning here at the Blue Bird Cottage, in Central
Pennsylvania. Looks like we're in for a very productive day here in my home
office as I have lots of orders and inquiries to take care of. (The piles on
the desks are rising!)
Betty and I finally finished decorating the Christmas tree yesterday. I know
it sounds like a big deal to me, but to me I guess it is. We both have our own
jobs to get the tree ready. We both assemble it. Then with Betty checking
them, I put on the lights. Then she hangs the garland and puts on all the
balls. Then it's my turn to finish it up by putting on all the icicles and
"Walla" it's done! I'll try and get a picture of it and put it up here because
I just know "you cant wait to see it!" ("Yeah, sure.")
I swear as we get older, we do revert back to our childhood days... Hear
lately, as it gets closer and closer to Christmas, the more excited I'm
getting.... (Just like when I was a kid.) Oh sure, lots has changed.... Now
we're the ones giving out the presents instead of the other way around but
still the excitement is there. I remember when I was a kid, I really wanted
Christmas to get here fast on the one hand as that meant Santa would come, but
on the other hand that meant the Christmas season was over faster.....
(But the excitement never left!) I guess it's nice to have such "warm & fuzzy"
feelings...
Now when I hear a Christmas song I DO get the "fuzzy feeling" inside.
Not the new singers singing the old ballads but the older singers like Bing
Crosby, Dean Martin and yes, even Elvis Presley. It seems like the newer
singers, not all, but most of them just must give their "own rendition" of the
old songs and usually they come out awful. I call it "butchering the songs."
No, I'll still with the "golden oldies". But then... I guess I'm a "golden
oldie" as well!
I'm back..... didn't know I was gone? Well I just got two phone calls in a row
and they were pretty long which means the day is getting older... so I guess
I'd better rap up this chat and get my butt back to work and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny
morning here in Central Pennsylvania. It is VERY cold..... though....It's
supposed to go all the way up around the freezing mark today... Burrrrrrrrrrrr.....
We had a good day yesterday. Made the trip to the Doctor's for the blood test,
stopped and ate at the Chinese Restaurant and dropped off some gifts for our
Chinese friend's birthday, stopped at the library to pick up a couple of
movies and then back home. We did some decorating on the Christmas tree. No,
it's not done yet as I had to stop to get some work done here, in the office.
Betty had plenty to do decorating the house and by then it was time for
supper.
I had a great mail day yesterday that brought a bag full. I still haven't
opened all of it so I'll be working on that this morning. I'll also, hopefully
be working on the Christmas tree later on today. We must get the decorating
done so we can get the boxes back into the attic. Our house is too darn small
with all that stuff all over the place.. We have to move some every time you
want to do something... What a mess.... I think it's driving us nuts, and
believe me it doesn't have to work too hard on that!
The applications are continually picking up for our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the
Tape of the Month program. I'm sure not complaining but I am surprised as
I thought maybe things would slack down, here, right before Christmas but it
seems like it's picking up more and more! GREAT!
Well, I'm afraid I'm going to have a short post here today as I really must
get back to getting some of the piles on my desks leveled, so for me, it's
back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

The beginning of a brand
new week and it's starting off really cold! Burrrrr.... It's not even
supposed to get up to 40 degrees here in Central Pennsylvania here today.
That's cold and it looks like Winter has arrived early. At this rate we're
sure to have a White Christmas here at the Blue Bird Cottage...
We had a GREAT weekend and really got a lot done.. We got all the
Christmas "stuff" down from the attic, which in itself is a job as we don't
have stairs to our attic but must get up there through a trap door on a
ladder. We then remove the ladder and I hand the boxes of Christmas "stuff"
down to Betty.
We had bought a new artificial tree this year and we got that up yesterday.
Not decorated, but assembled. Betty did get up some decorations throughout the
house. Not as many as usual but some.. Hopefully sometime today we'll get back
to the tree and get that finished as well.... We've been putting out food
stuff on the porch for the squirrels on the back porch and deck. We can be see
right out there through the dining room sliding glass door where we've been
working on the tree. Actually junk food like potato chips and some toasted
wheat bread. There have been two squirrels fighting over it. Boy are they ever
funny.... They actually look more like they are playing with each other at
times than fighting... Between them and the Christmas music we had going
in the background we had a ball yesterday afternoon.
I have an appointment at the doctor's office this morning for blood tests...
That won't take long and then we'll be making a trip to our favorite Chinese
restaurant to eat and see our friend Jason, who is the manager there as his
birthday is today and we got a couple of gifts for him. I know he will surely
be surprised. It should be fun.
That shouldn't take long though and we should be home early so I can get back
to work and Betty has plenty to do as well..
I must get another bulk mailing together this week so I'll also be doing some
printing today as well.... Lot's to get done and few things that must be
done before we head out today so for me it's back to work and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

T.G.I.F
It's another drizzly, cloudy, rainy day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in
Central Pennsylvania. Another GREAT day to work indoors, here at my home
office. Looks like I should get a good bit done here today and this week end
as the weather is supposed to be this way for the next 4 days except toward
the end of that period when the rain is supposed to change into snow! It just
might be our fist snow of the Fall/Winter season this year!
We have about 3 squirrels visiting our back porch and deck each day. Of course
the fact that Betty puts out nuts, potato chips, and bread for them just my
help a little bit. I must get some sunflower seeds for them as they love them
and they are good for them as well. Yesterday, we we getting ready to go to
Betty's doctor's appointment, (for blood work), and I heard this tapping
noise. It took me about a minute to figure out it was tapping on the sliding
glass door that opens onto our porch and deck at the back of the house.... You
guessed it, it was one of the squirrels... Those guys are pretty darn smart as
he probably got what he wanted when Betty put out some stale bread for them.
She even toasts it first to give it some crunch. When we got home it was all
gone so they must have liked it....
To my mail order friends:
Don't slack off on your promo mailings over the Christmas and New Year holiday
season. Sometimes I find this the best time of the year to get responses to my
services, products and even getting more associates into my programs.
Our downline builder,
$2=SUCCESS, for the
Tape of the Month program has lately really developed lots of new
interest. The applications are coming in daily to join the
$2=SUCCESS downline builder! Those of you who are already in the downline
builder and are not mailing, now's a good time to get some circulars printed
and begin mailing for it again. Folks are still looking for a good,
honest program that will be around for awhile and the
Tape of the Month program has been around for six years and paying out
commissions each and every month without, EVER, missing a payment! Longevity
is one of the biggest assets for any program these days.... There are a
lot of folks who need passive incomes if nothing else to help support their
social security checks... God know the SS checks aren't even keeping up
with inflation.. Beginning next year people on social security will
receive a 2.7% increase supposedly to cover the "Cost of Living" increases.
This means that retiree who earns $930 a month will get $955 next year.... Not
much to go on... Many, many people draw much less than $930 a month and
many will only see much less than a $20 a month increase.
Also, a 17% Medicare
increase is scheduled for next year that will completely "wipe out" the
supposed "cost of living increase", in most cases! I'm not even going to
mention that gasoline and heating oil is up about 60% from last year! (oops!)
Yes, in this day and age, we all better have some "irons in the fire" as my
dad used to say or we will be, as a lot are now, when we reach retirement age,
struggling just to say healthily and eat! Believe me, that's no joke as there
are still older folks eating dog food to stay alive in the good ole USA..
Back to other "stuff":
While we spend billions of dollars destroying Iraq and now billions more to
police it and rebuild the country, we have a lot of older Americans just
barely eking by!
Sorry, but here comes one of my favorite sayings once again, "LET'S MAKE SURE
AMERICANS ARE ALL IN GOOD HEALTH AND DOING WELL, THEN OPEN THE BOARDERS FOR
"SOME" FOREIGNERS. UNTIL THEN PULL ALL OUR TROOPS BACK HOME TO PROTEST OUR
BOARDERS AND SPEND THE TAX MONEY TAKING CARE OF AMERICA AND AMERICANS!"
Simple, but then usually most solutions to most problems are.
When many countries have natural disasters we jump in right away with goods,
money and people to help get them back on their feet. When their governments
are threatened we send in our troops, money, and weapons to help them out.
After all this most foreigners "HATE OUR GUTS!" Why, because the main thing
is, "WE CAN'T SEEM TO MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS!
Let's keep
ALL of our resources at home and take care of our own people, you remember
them, the poor "Smucks" that are footing the darn bill for all of this crap!
That's my RANT for today and for this week! With lot's of "stuff" to get done
before my weekend starts, for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's cloudy this morning
here in Central Pennsylvania and no rain 'til this afternoon so it looks like
we're in for another good day!
When I get to thinking about my age I find myself thinking that, "Boy am I
getting old." Well now that I check the famous birthdays everyday on my Excite
home page I don't feel too bad. Let's take today for example.... Today
is actor Kirk Douglas' birthday and he was born in 1916. Wow, that means that
Kirk is 88 years old! (I don't feel too old now.) Also, I noticed that Beau
Bridges was born in the year of 1941 and that makes Beau is 63 years old
today! (That makes me feel even better!) Now I feel better all around....
I'm not going to list the stars that are younger than me. (I don't feel THAT
good!)
Do you believe that today is the 9th of December already? Wow, Christmas IS
just around the corner and Betty just told me we're STILL not done buying
gifts. We still have a few more to get for. It seems like it's never done...
But it's worth it.... When Christmas day comes and we load up the Jeep
for our visits to deliver gifts..... it'll be GREAT!
Things are going GREAT here at my home business office but I can see that my
mail is slowing up a bit... That can be expected 'til Christmas week...
Usually Christmas week will be good for receiving mail. Personally, I haven't
slacked up on sending out promo mail what-so-ever as I've found that when
people are too busy with a holiday to read their business mail, they just put
it aside and look at it when they get a chance... Actually my mail gets a
better look this time of the year as I'm running up against less competition.
Actually I guess I really should up my mailings.... hmmmmmmmmm... now there
just may be a good idea....
I do have a lot to finish today before my trip to the post office, so for me
it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Finally, it's a beautiful,
sunny morning here in Central Pennsylvania. We're supposed to get some high
winds today but other than that we're in for a GREAT day!
When Betty and I went shopping yesterday we stopped at Wal-Mart for some
groceries and that's also where we buy our drinking water. We only get
distilled water for drinking and mixing like for orange juice etc. With
distilled water it's the purest H2O you can get and the flavor of what ever
you are mixing with it is all you taste.. Plus there are no bacteria, minerals
or anything in it.
Betty did a little Christmas shopping while we were there and as I already
have all the "guys" gifts bought mostly just browsed around. Boy, it's
unbelievable all the different toys they have for children now days.... Of
course, as usual, I'm comparing it to what was available when I was young. I
remember what my brother and I used to hope to get from Santa..... I
don't remember much about Sis as she was 8 years older than me and pretty much
grown up. But we used to look forward to getting a BB gun or a Wagon and later
maybe even a Bicycle or a snow sled. There are so many choices now of great
gifts for kids I can't even imagine what they would wish for.
Christmas was a big deal at our house and mom spent weeks preparing for it.
She always put up a big display on a platform. I think it was like a big 4' X
8' piece of plywood and she would always put up 2 trees on it and then set up
a big yard underneath that covered the entire platform. She spent hours even a
few days to make sure everything was in the right place. We, my brother and I,
were not allowed to touch anything but mom would always allow us to hang one
or two balls, after, of course she told us exactly where to put them! Yes,
when she was done, it was quite a site.
Now, here at our house, Betty and I were deciding if we were going to put up
our regular big tree or a smaller one as we haven't had the big,
"get-togethers" for the last couple of years here. Betty always went around
the entire house and decorated. When she was done it looked like you were
walking into Santa's house. It's just getting to be too much work for her so
this year, she went along with the big tree idea, but said she will only do a
minimum of decorating on the rest of the house.....
That's okay with me because now, instead of a big, "get-together" at Christmas
with all the kids and grand kids, we load up the Jeep and go to each of their
homes and play Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus by delivering their gifts right to
their doors! We have a GREAT time!!!
So, today, I'm hoping to get some time to get up into our attic and get down
our Christmas decorations. If it's as usual, we'll be working getting the tree
up etc., for several days. Getting into our attic in itself is a big deal and
we have a trap door, (we live in a cottage), to access it and must put a
ladder up and crawl up. Then I hand the boxes etc., down to Betty....
That's why it such a big deal just for us to get our "stuff" to start
preparing for Christmas... Anyway, that's the plan for today...
It's hard to believe that a week has already gone by in December.... Not
a long time left.... Every time we go out after dark we are now seeing more
and more homes that are decorated outside for Christmas... What a GREAT time
of the year!
I haven't mentioned much about business today but I have plenty of work in my
home office to get done today as well.... sooooooo for me it's back to work,
and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's another cold and rainy
day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Looks like it may
be this way all day.
Today marks the 63rd anniversary of
Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor
located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, was attacked by nearly 200 Japanese
warplanes.
The attack resulted in the U.S.
entering into World War II.
Take a moment today to reflect on the loss of our guys and gals at Pearl
Harbor so many years ago. To refresh your memory with pictures and commentary
Pearl Harbor Raid December 7, 1941.
I received a lot of mail yesterday and am still going through some of it,
sorting and placing them on piles to be done. Orders, inquiries, etc. all the
"stuff" my mail can bring me. I love it all. There is no "junk" mail for me.
Opportunity mail, offers, advertising, I love it all. I just love to get
mail...... If fun and doesn't cost a cent.
Before last year, we HAD to have a post office box as we did not have mail
delivered to our house. I know it sounds unbelievable but it's true. For years
we had to drive about a two miles to the post office and back to pick up our
mail. Contrary to popular belief, the post office does NOT deliver to everyone
in the good ole U.S. I remember when I first started doing business through
the mail reading some articles that stated all people doing business through
the mails who had a post office box must be hiding. I thought these writers
have no idea what their talking about. Now days though it's more acceptable to
use PO Boxes.... I still keep a post office box for my business so I still
must make the daily trip to the post office each day. I've had that address
for 20 years and have tons of advertising out with it on. It would now be
impractical for me to try to change my business address.
We must sneak away from here for a few hours today to do some shopping. I
swear that for just the two of us we do buy a lot of supplies and groceries
considering we do eat out a good bit... The good side is that it will give us
a break to get out, the bad side is we'll be running around in the rain... Oh
well, such is life!
In the meantime I do have several things that I must get done before we take
off, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Tuesday!!!

It's cold and rainy here in
Central Pennsylvania this morning to start our week but it looks like it may
still be a good day to get work done inside. Mainly here in my home office.
I was really surprised that the DollarMonster program closed down so fast! I
don't know why I should be as these guys have jumped from one thing to
another..
Just a few days ago they had instigated more changes to improve that program
and touted that they were paying out money. About 2 days later they sent out
an email and said that they had closed down both of their money doubling
programs.
I wasn't in the other but I've got about $250 in the DollarMonster one. They
also sent in the same email that they announced the closings that they had
another program they were going to place everyone in that had not recovered
their original investment in the Dollar Monster program. They will place
people under you and you would be able to get your money back, plus make a
profit. (Of course this new scheme costs $10 bucks a month.)
I still haven't decided if I'm going to get in that one or not. At least they
didn't quietly close the program and fade into the wood work. Their company
chat room is still up and running, however this new plan they have is pretty
elaborate and I'm sure it was not devised in just a couple of days which makes
me think that they knew they were shutting down the doubler programs long
before they did but keep leading us all on anyway. That alone is enough for me
to cut my losses and move on.
It's my own greed that I may have lost my investment as I did have a chance
one time to recoup my original investment and instead I reinvested it...
I was going to wait for the second time and then I would draw it out, which
never happened.... so in a way it was my greed that was the reason I lost the
money.
I felt sure the way the program was set up that they would be in business at
least 6 months.... I was wrong! Of course me being wrong is not
new, but it's still a hard pill to swallow....
If you'd like to read the Email announcing the closure of the programs, click
here: DollarMonster
Closes. (Keep in mind the the folks who ran the program is called the
"Easy Chair Club."
I'll keep you updated on what happens with this mess and what I decide to do
with it.. If you have any comments about it drop me an Email:

I received my monthly commission check from my downline in the
Tape of the Month program that I built with my downline builder,
$2=SUCCESS and it's sure going to come in handy for Christmas shopping.
Have you taken some time and effort to build yourself some passive income
checks? If not you may want to consider the
Tape of the Month business. You can begin to build your downline even
before you join the company by joining the small $2 program:
$2=SUCCESS. Maybe this time next year, you'll have your own
commission check coming every month.
Of course if you don't like this company I have a few more that I'm in and
bringing me in a nice check each month. Just check this daily post page
your on now out and also check out my main site at:
http://www.homebucks.com
I'm sure I'm going to receive a lot of mail today as I always do on Monday.
Coupled with some things I still must get done on my desks is enough to make
me think that it's time for me to get my butt back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful sunny VERY chilly morning here in Central Pennsylvania to
close the first week of December 2004. (Here comes
Santa Claus!)
Our new coal furnace got a bit of a work out last night as it went down to 27
degrees. I know, that's not extremely cold, but as cold as it's been this
year, so far, and it performed very well. It was nice and toasty in here all
night. I woke up around 2:30AM this morning and just could not fall back
asleep so I know it got pretty cold out as I checked the out door temperature.
I don't think we'll have to worry about the new coal furnace doing it's job,
I'm sure it will do just fine. Boy am I glad we went with coal again as the
price of alternative heat is getting outrageous! I really pity the poor folks
who have oil heat as unless something radical happens they are in for an
expensive winter! Betty's one son just got coal and it did go up since last
year but it was only about $40 bucks more for 3 tons. He gets off the same
fellow as we do so I guess that's what ours will be as well. I'll be needing
coal in about 2 weeks so I'll find out first hand.
People in Florida went through hell this summer with all the hurricanes and
storms, but they can now laugh at us up here in the northern states as we
fight to stay warm. Same with California and a few other places... O
well, you can't have everything. Pretty soon we'll be fighting the snow
storms..... while our Florida and California friends will be basking in the
sun in their back yards!
In The News:
Looks like Tom Ridge is stepping down as director of the new government
division, The Department of Homeland Security. He used to be our governor
here, in Pennsylvania. He did a good job as governor.
Am I the only one that is worried about BIG government? I thought
I'd check out this new department to our government.
Did you know that the Homeland Security Department that did not even exist a
few years ago has over 183,000 employees and has a budget for 2005 of $33.8
billion dollars? Keep in mind that a billion dollars is one thousand million
dollars! The figure looks like this: $33,800,000,000! Is that unbelievable?
It's already been proven that if our FBI had been on their toes the 9-11
catastrophe would never had happened. Why wasn't the FBI given a good shaken
up and then beefed up with more employees and equipment? Seems to me that
would have been the more sensible way to go... but then I'm using common
sense. Click here for more information on
The
Department of Homeland Security.
I've just begun my 60 years decade of life but I pity our kids and grand
children as they will be footing the bill for all of this WASTE! Not only the
billions the war is costing us and the billions it's costing now, and will be
costing in the future to rebuild Iraq but this agency as well.... and the
country is already running a deficit, is there anyone that is addressing this
situation? Did I miss something????? That's my rant for today......
I sometime don't think we need a new president every 4 or 8 years but an
entire new government. Some of the people have been Representatives and
Senators for so long that they have lost sight of the real world out here, you
know, away from the White House and the government in Washington. Would you
believe that we STILL have children in the United States that don't get
enough to eat on a daily basis? It's true..... More Information? Click
here at Children International
Things are going well, here around my home office and I'm getting caught up...
I may even be able to take a nice weekend off but I really don't think that
will happen as there is always something to do and I have no idea what will
come in today's mail. Yesterday we picked up just one new member for the
Once A Month Association and
it usually takes about an hour to get a custom promotional kit ready so
there's an hour accounted for already. We also have a batch of folks that came
into our
$2=SUCCESS downline builder that feeds the
Tape of the Month program so I'll be working on getting them into the data
base and get off their custom promo circulars etc... So looks like I'm
in for a full day before my weekend starts so for me, it's back to work, and
YOU, YOU have a GREAT weekend!!!

It's a beautiful. sunny,
chilly morning here, at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. The
winds have subsided and it looks like we're in for a beautiful day. The mighty
Susquehanna River that runs through our back yard is up and running high and
fast but should be on it's way back down today. Looking down into our back
yard looks like it's leaving a lot of debris for me to clean up and burn...
What else is new???? The river's been up more than it's been down this
summer and I guess the Fall season is not to be any different.
In The News:
I know I complain a lot about our legal system but when you see things that's
been happening lately, it's no wonder. We have a SERIOUS problem with the
system.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has temporarily stayed the execution of an
animal named George E. Banks that slaughtered 13 people in Wilkes-Barre
Pennsylvania 22 years ago. Yep, you read it right, this convicted
murderer has been in jail awaiting his sentence of death for over 22 years!
Some of the folks he's shot did not die.... 13 of them did. The folks that
survived has been waiting for justice all this time and has again been denied
it. Banks was supposed to be put to death today but got yet another stay for
the powers that be to determine if he nut's. Oops, excuse me, insane. Now
think about that for a minute.... This is where everything gets a little
"out of kilter" for me.... Do you know anyone who would slaughter 13 people,
who IS sane????
He killed 13 people, including seven children, five of them his own; his three
live-in girl friends, an ex-girlfriend, her mother and a bystander in the
street!
Don't you think if we wait for this animal to get sane we'll be feeding him,
providing him shelter, doing his laundry and taking care of him until he dies
at a nice ripe old age? What a catastrophe! The system really needs a
"shaking up"... We've got to get the lawyers out of the system and get
regular people with good common sense to deal out justice.. Read about
the story here,
ANIMAL.
I'll have to get off of that subject as it drives me nuts that this guy is
still around after 22 years!!!
It's hard to believe that Thursday is here already and it's December 2nd as
well... We'll have to get up into our attic to get our decorations down and
start to get them up. Last year we waited 'til just a few days before
Christmas and it seemed like we no sooner got them up than we were taking them
back down again. I like to enjoy them for awhile so the plan for this year to
get 'em up as soon as possible!
To my friends that are in their own home businesses and are in some of the
programs I'm in I just wanted to comment on
DollarMonster program. It's up and running and doubling people's money..
So far so good.... Looks like it just may be around for awhile.
Also, I wanted to mention that if you're in the
Once A Month Association,
the monthly mailings for it with the Newsletter, Member Benefit Directory,
Statements, and checks went out in yesterday's mail. So you should be
receiving your mailing in a day or so.
Looks like, by the piles on my desks, that I have plenty to get done before my
daily trip to the post office, so for me, it's back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It started out rainy today
but now the sun is shining brightly, but the winds are really wild. The
weather bureau is calling for high winds until 8 PM tonight. The mighty
Susquehanna River that runs through our back yard is on the rise, again, from
all the rain we've had lately. It's already half way up our back yard but
should be cresting around 11 feet which is well below flood stage. Normal is
around 3 to 4 feet.
We finished all the
OAMA "stuff", the Newsletter, Monthly Member Benefit Directory,
Statements, and Checks, etc., and it will all be in this morning's mail. Thank
goodness as that's quite a job at the end over every month.
Well, Christmas is not that far off as now we are in December. I was going to
say that I hope you have all of your Christmas shopping done but we are far
from done ourselves. We have gotten a good bit done but it just seems that
there is always someone else to buy for. Betty and I have decided this year
NOT to buy anything for each other until after Christmas.
We are thinking that like every other year we can remember, after Christmas,
the stores will be having sales galore and prices will be a heck of a lot
cheaper than now as they will be back fighting just to make sales....
My brother in law used to tell me about a friend he used to work with that
every year his family would have their Christmas exactly one week later than
everyone else. They would of course celebrate their religious ceremonies
on time, but they would not exchange gifts until a week later. That way they
took advantage of all the "after Christmas" sales. He said that people called
him "cheap" but he didn't think that way. The attitude he took was that if he
had $20 to spend on someone, after Christmas for the same $20 he could get
about $30 worth of stuff! Not a bad philosophy. However, I don't think our
Kids, grand kids, and great grand kids would understand that idea.... I'm sure
they would definitely think, "CHEAP!" But we can at least use the idea
for ourselves... So that's our "plan" for this year..... I'll
probably be getting her at least a card so she can "open" something from me on
Christmas......
I did get some of yesterday's mail opened and sorted but didn't finish as I
had to get the end of the month stuff done. I have plenty to catch up with
today.... sooooooo with that in mind for me it's back to work, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT day!!!
