It started out rainy today
but the sun has come out and it looks like we're in for a nice day. It's
supposed to go near 50 degrees today so it should be a Jim Dandy day!
Holy cats we only have one more day until 2003 is over! Did you stick to
any of your new year's resolutions that you made last year? We all start
out with great expectations but they become difficult to really stick to,
don't they? Well I think the best thing is NOT to make any. Then you
don't have to have that pressure on you to adhere to them.
The only thing I want to try harder at is to increase my business this year to
at least double last year's earnings.... I'm trying to get my residual
commission checks up high enough that I can at least go into a semi retired
state. That way Betty and I will be able to do more things and maybe get
around a little more. I won't be tied to this office almost 7 days a week! If
I can get it down to working 3 or even 4 days a week, I'll be happy as a
clam..... (Come to think about it, just how happy are clams?.... hmmmmmm...)
Yesterday I received a ton of mail and although I've got it opened and sorted,
I have a lot to do before I can finish it.
What I'm really getting behind on is writing letters.... It's so time
consuming.... I wish everyone had Email. It would make it a lot faster
to write them and also a lot cheaper.. You wouldn't even have to address
or stamp and envelope. Oh well, I doubt I'll see that in my lifetime,
but someday, not too awful far into the future, most folks will have a
way to get email.
As tomorrow is New Years Eve, the Computer and I are taking the day off, (at
least the internet off), to concentrate on getting done the monthly "stuff"
for the
Once A Month Association. But unlike last week, the Computer and I will be
right back here at the daily post on Friday morning.........
I want to see you back here too on Friday, so if you drive over the holiday,
watch out for the other driver. Drive defensively and have a
Happy, Save and Prosperous New Year!!!
For me, right now, it's back to work and YOU, YOU take care
until Friday!!!

It's a beautiful, cold but
sunny day here in central Pennsylvania. Looks like we're in for a GREAT week.
We only have a couple of days left to 2003 and then this year will be history.
There's a lot that happened this year for the history books thanks to Iraq and
other major events. We'll just have to concentrate on the brighter things that
has happened this year. There have to be a few, right?
We had a GREAT Christmas here at our house this year. Lot's of fun and lot's
of presents to give out. We spent all day Christmas going from house to house
and delivering gifts. Boy was that fun. We're now thinking of doing that every
year. We visited the whole crew, (kids, grandkids etc.) except for 2 families
that were doing other things themselves and we visited them on Saturday. It
sure is fun going around passing out gifts.
I hope your Christmas turned out as nice as ours did. Now is REALLY when all
the sales begin so if you didn't get quite exactly just what you wanted, now's
the time that you may be able to pick it up for a good discount. I know I
still haven't bought a new digital camera for myself. With the sales before
Christmas I really was tempted but I thought just wait until after Christmas
and see what's on sale.... I do have a digital camera so there is no big push
to get one. I want to get one with plenty of "optical" zoom. I don't have zoom
on the camera I have now and when I see wildlife that I want to "capture" on
it, sometimes like a groundhog will look like a little brown spot in the
middle of a field. With plenty of "zoom" I'll be able to get a decent picture
that you'll be able to tell just what the object your taking a picture of
"really is"..... Anyway, that's the plan.
Well, there's plenty of "stuff" to get done here, at the office before I make
a trip to the post office so for now, it's back to work for me, and YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Monday!!!!

Another beautiful sunny day
here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania! Winter has just arrived
and today the weather man is telling us it's going clear up to a balmy 50
degrees! (Talk about weird weather!)
We finished putting our tree up yesterday and Betty decorated the house some
so today is clean up day... Plus, I've got a lot of orders etc. that I
want to get out before Christmas witch means they must be out by tomorrow to
get in the mail. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve so the
Computer and I will be taking the rest of the week off. If I get time over the
Christmas holiday I will put up a post or two here..... Otherwise the
Computer and I will see you back here on Monday.
If you have to work tomorrow be very careful on the highways as there are a
lot of last minute shoppers out and also some dumb people who begin their
celebration early and then hit the roads. Drive defensively!!!
Betty and I, (and the Computer), wish you a very Merry
Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of the year!!!
For the moment, it's back to work for me and YOU, YOU have a
SAFE one!!!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania to begin a brand new week. Cold.....
Brrrrrrr ..... but nice out.
This weekend went a good bit better than last weekend... We have the
"stuff" down from the attic and Betty is decorating. The tree is up, (it's my
job to put the lights on", so I'll have to get to that today. The house is a
mess at the moment with boxes everywhere. Pretty soon I'll have to make a map
to be able to find the bathroom! Hopefully must of it will be cleaned up by
this evening.
Yesterday I took time to work on a computer I'm fixing up for one of Betty's
granddaughters. I had it mostly done but she wanted more memory and also
wanted a CD Burner drive installed. Holy cats I worked on if from about 2:30
until 6:30 last night before I finally got the drive working properly. I still
must put it together today and put the finishing touches on it. My
advice is, NEVER trust the instructions.. When I first
unwrapped the drive I read the instructions and they said the the drive was
set as a "slave" drive from the factory. As the CD Rom already installed is
always set to "master" I just put it in. When I "booted" up, I lost both
drives. Now the computer didn't recognize either of the drives and when I
tried to load the drivers it kept telling me to put in the 98 Second Edition
Windows disk into the CD Rom drive, (which of course it didn't recognize was
there), and continually proceeded to tell me that it couldn't find the drive!
What a mess! I took it all apart again and checked all the wiring, put it back
together, didn't work..... Took it apart again tried different wiring
etc., etc., etc., ...... Finally I took out both drives and started
checking everything on them again and guess what I found? Yep, the new Burner
drive was set to "master"! I then changed the jumper to "slave"... Reinstalled
everything and bingo! They both work just fine... I installed the
software and now it's ready for the case to go back together..
Whew...... the 1˝ hour job, that turned into 4 hours, still isn't quite done!
I'll finish that today and maybe get the computer to her before Christmas.
I still have plenty of work left over from last week that I'm trying to catch
up on as I do want to take at least one day off for Christmas..... ( I was
hoping for two!) Who says being in business for yourself is easy? Oh
sure you can take off practically anytime you want, but don't forget you'll be
burning the midnight oil to make up for it!!!
Well that's enough chit - chat to begin this week,
Christmas week. I sure hope you're ready for your Christmas as I don't
think, as usual, we'll ever be fully ready!
For me, it's back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Monday!!!

T.G.I.F. Another week is
gone and we're another week closer to Christmas....
Are you in the spirit yet???? It's a beautiful sunny but cold morning here at
the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania.
It sure is beautiful to drive at night these days. Lot's of homes have their
Christmas displays lit up. Some folks really get
"into" it. Their home and yards are lit up like a
Christmas trees!
Isn't it funny how they only sell Chia Pets and Light "clappers" only at
Christmas time? Apparently this manufacturers
spend the entire year making these items and then only "push" them at
Christmas time. It must work though as they are
back on the store shelves and on TV every year.
Here it is at the end of the week and I'm just finally getting caught up with
my mail from being sick last weekend.. Boy, get sick for a few days and
REALLY fall behind! I hope to get caught up by Monday with just about
everything! Thank goodness! The mail has slowed up just a bit, probably
because of the holidays, but that's okay as I can use the break. I know after
the holidays everything will be back to "normal."
As of now, I'd better get back to "it", and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT Weekend!!!!

It's a nice sunny morning
here in Central Pennsylvania.. We're getting a break from the snow, ice and
rain...
We're only a week away from Christmas. I hope you have all your decorations up
and your shopping done. In other words, I hope you're better off than we are..
We haven't even gotten the decorations down from the attic yet, let alone get
them up! We STILL have a couple of folks to buy for..... Are we EVER
really ready for Christmas? I'm starting to wonder about that. Here in our
small cottage we don't have a lot of storage space and it seems like
everywhere I go there are presents wrapped up and ready to be delivered. Every
year we say now we're going to have to stop somewhere in this growing chain of
people we buy presents for as it's getting to be too much.. It NEVER
happens! Oh well I guess giving is what Christmas is all about....
I did get back home pretty early yesterday and worked here in the office until
about 10 last night so I did get pretty much done.. I think I've put a dent in
all the work that got behind while I was playing sick.
I have a large pile of applications for the
$2 Buck Downline Builder, and
the 2 bucks
for SUCCESS Program on my desks right now.... so for me it's back to work
and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!!!

It's a rainy day here in
central Pennsylvania and a nippy one as well....
This morning's post will be pretty short as I must take Betty to the dentist.
I've already made the trip to the post office for stamps. 300 of them to get
out the mailing for statements for the
$2 Buck Downline Builder. They
are done and all we must do is place the stamps on them and we'll drop them
off on the way.
I'm still running behind on all of my orders and my mail but am catching up
slowly. Boy, get sick for a few days and things DO pile up.
Now that I'm feeling better, I want to take a trip up to the neighbors to see
if they have seen our neighborhood pet deer,
Verne. I want to
make sure that he's survived deer season. He has his big, wide reflective
collar on but I'm not sure that would deter all of the hunters.. Heck, with
Verne, all they'd
have to do is call him and he'd come to them for a petting job and they could
kill him with a hammer and save a bullet! Yep, that's how tame he is..
Anyway, as soon as I find out, I'll let you know here.
Well, as I glance at the clock I've got to get to work stamping that mailing
so we can get out of here and head for the Dentist's office. Now, for YOU,
YOU have a GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania! It's supposed to go up to near 50 degrees today
so that means a lot of the snow we just received over the weekend will be
melting. Unfortunately the mighty Susquehanna river that runs through our back
yard is still not back in it's banks from all the rain we had last week. Oh
well, this year has been a very wet in these parts. We'll just have to keep an
eye on the river...
I feel a lot better today and I think I'm finally getting back to my old self,
(whatever that may be.)
I did get all the statements ran yesterday for the
$2 Buck Downline Builder, and
the envelope labels, however I had about twice as many statements as I thought
I would. That's GREAT as that means we have a lot of folks that are actually
promoting the program!
I'll be printing the envelopes for them this morning and have them in the mail
by this afternoon. I sure have a lot of mail to catch up on but really feel
like sneaking out this afternoon to take Betty to lunch. I haven't been out of
the house since Friday and am starting to get the "cooped up" feeling..
I'm not sure if I can steal the time or not but just maybe.........
After all, I can do as I usually do and work late tonight.....
Thanks to our neighbors we haven't been snowed in as they've been up and down
our lane with snow plows and have been keeping them pretty well open through
the last two snows.. Seems funny to talk about the two major snow storms
we've had so far this year as I remember a many a year we didn't even get
any snow until after Christmas. Well, like I said, this has bee a VERY wet
year!
Just when you think you've just about covered everyone that you usually send
Christmas Cards to, by golly you get one from someone that you haven't heard
from for awhile and off goes another one.. Some people have moved a
couple of years ago but don't bother to bring anyone up to date until they
send that Christmas Card greeting.. NO, I'm not complaining as we
love to hear from all of our friends..... so..... keep those cards coming!!!
Well, looking at this accumulated mess on my desks, for me it better be back
to work, and YOU, YOU have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!!!

Monday, the beginning of a
brand new week. What a weekend!
It's snowed, rained and sleeted most of the weekend here, in Central
Pennsylvania. We didn't have to worry about braving the roads though as I was
sick all weekend. Yes, I got nothing done over the weekend but stay alive! Boy
the way I felt, I I'm not sure there a couple of times I wasn't sure I'd make
it.... Later, Friday afternoon I started to feel lousy and by the end of
Friday evening I WAS SICK. Boy was I sick.... I have no idea what I had
as this morning I finally feel a heck of a lot better, just weak. It started
with an upset belly and progressed to bend over pain. No appetite, and if I
did try to eat anything it wouldn't stay down and then yesterday the next step
turned out to be diarrhea. Geez, I don't even like writing that word! At any
rate that lasted most of yesterday but by evening I was keeping down some
noodle soup. I don't know what I caught but thank goodness it didn't last that
long.
I haven't even opened Saturday's mail. Heck this is the first time I've even
booted up the computers since Friday. And believe me, that really
unusual around here.
I sure hope that your weekend went much, much better than mine.. The
only bright spot of my whole weekend is when I learned they had caught Saddam
Hussein. Congratulations to our troops! A job well done!!!
I am now running a bit late on getting out downline reports for folks in the
$2 Buck Downline Builder, but
if I can hang in here today, I'll get it done..
Well, I think I'd better get to work and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT day!

T.G.I.F. Yes, another week
has passed and it's time for a break. The weekend is almost here! You may want
to use some of the weekend to finish your Christmas shopping and wrapping.
Remember there's only 13 shopping days left until Christmas and that
includes Christmas Eve! Every time I think we're done with our shopping Betty
reminds me that we have yet to get so & so a gift... It's a never ending
battle and I'm sure before Christmas is over someone will stop in that we
don't have a gift for..... Maybe it pays to keep 3 bags with some gifts
in.. One for ladies gifts, one for men, and of course one for children.
Then if someone stops that you haven't seen for awhile or that you were not
expecting, you'll have a gift for them....
It's a beautiful sunny Friday here in central Pennsylvania. The mighty
Susquehenna river that runs through our back yard is on the rise!
Day before yesterday the river was about 7 feet. Now it's at 11.5 feet and
rising. They are predicting it to be over 14 feet tomorrow at 7 AM. Yep,
we're keeping an eye on it.... (Flood stage, here at our place, is about 20
feet!)
We are working on a bulk mail and should have it done by a little after noon.
Everything is printed and folded and Betty is assembling it right now. I'll be
working on and printing the mailing list as soon as I post this. That will be
a load off my mind for this week.
I will also be preparing an mailing downline statements before the
weekend is over to everyone who signed someone into their
$2 Buck Downline Builder since
September the 30th. That's going to be quite a job but I must get it done.
So if you're working the 2 bucks
for SUCCESS Program, look for a downline statement next week sometime.
Well, I've got plenty to get done before the trip to the post office
so for me it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Weekend!!!

It's a rainy morning here
in Central Pennsylvania but is supposed to clear up and get windy. We still
have flood warnings issued and lots of streets in the city and rural areas are
flooded. The huge Susquehenna river that runs though our back yard it still
very safe but is on the rise. I tried to check with the Penn State River Watch
and all they say about the Susquehenna is that it's "rapidly rising!" Duh, I
knew that, I thought we may get an idea of how far it's going to
rise! Looks like we'll just have to wait it out!
Each day I do the "Joke Page", (you'll find at link at the bottom of each
daily post), I print out a copy for Betty to read and then take them with us
when her and I go out to eat. I usually take a couple with me when we go to
our favorite restaurants. Last evening we stopped at the "Country Buffet",
here in the east shore for supper. I gave a copy to the cashier when we went
in as she likes to read them when she gets the time and I carried the other to
our table. While we were eating a young man, a "D A" (Dining Room Attendant),
stopped when he saw the joke sheet and asked if I was Chuck. "Yes", I said. He
said, "I've been reading your joke sheets for over 3 years and have always
seem to miss you when your here. I'm always told that you were here but have
just left or something to that effect." So, I picked up the last joke sheet
and said here, take this as you apparently like to read them. He did and left
for a couple of minutes and then came back. "Here, he said can you sign this
for me?" "Why, yes - yes, I stuttered, I sure can." He this young fella wanted
me to autograph one of my joke sheets! I was very surprised. Before we left he
came over to our table and we shook hands. "I'm going to get a frame for this
and hang it," he said.. I was still stunned. As we left I said to Betty,
"Well I'll be darned", "yes", she said, "Wasn't that nice?" You know a
couple of weeks ago we were at another restaurant, the same kind, "The Country
Buffet" on the west shore and a young fella, another DA saw one of the joke
sheets on the table and asked if I was Chuck. "Yes," I said, "I am".
I gave him the copy and he said, "You know, you don't know it, but you are a
legend around here because of your joke sheets!" Again, I was dumbfounded!
Wow, isn't it surprising how such a small thing can have such a huge effect. I
used to wonder if anyone ever "really" read them and if I wasn't wasting my
time passing them out. Well it seems that they not only pass them around to
other DA's but also some even make a trip in the kitchen where a lot of nice
people work to make our bellies happy! That REALLY made my day!
Thank you Kenton!
Oops... the time is slipping by and the phone keeps ringing, so for me,
I'd better get back to work, and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Thursday!!!

It's a beautiful sunny
morning here in Central Pennsylvania. But.... according to the weather
man it's supposed to start raining this afternoon and continue all night. They
already have the flood warnings issued.... With the rain falling and the
temperature rise the snow that fell last week, looks like we're in for an
awful lot of water. The streams and rivers will be rising. I'll have to
keep an eye on the Susquehenna River that runs though our back yard for the
rest of this week..... (If it isn't one thing, it's another!)
I thought Betty and I were about done Christmas shopping but it seems every
time I turn around there is someone else to buy for that we forgot about. Then
of course we have those two or three that are almost impossible to buy for.
You know what I mean, as you probably have at least a couple on your shopping
list as well. I really don't like giving money or even gift certificates as it
looks like you just didn't want to take the time to shop for them. But,
sometimes that's the only way out because if you can't please them, the only
thing left to do is give them something so they can go buy something that they
truly like.
We have a couple of folks that just love to go out to eat so shopping for them
is a snap... We just get them gift certificates from their favorite
Restaurant. Heck that works for most come to think of it.. Everybody likes a
FREE meal at a nice place to eat and some even prefer McDonalds, Hardie's or
another fast food place, etc.
Yesterday turned out pretty good and I did get pretty much done, here in the
office. More and more applications are coming in for the
$9.95
introductory offer from the Coin
Savers Club. That's been keeping me busy on the phone, more so than usual
answering questions. That's okay as the company is really getting a lot of new
members though the offer and that means a bigger check for all of us!!!
The new Phase II of the Tape of the
Month downline builder is really moving along as well with more and more
joiners every day. It's a hassle just getting out all of these Welcome
Packets... I try and get them out with in 24 hours after I receive the
application and boy sometimes that means working late into the night. I have
come up with a new policy and that is after 9:PM eastern time I stop answering
the phone and let the machine take over. This way I can get a lot done in a
couple of hours and still be taking calls late enough for my west coast
friends to call if they have any questions.
By the looks of my desks I sure didn't get everything done yesterday so for me
it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

It's a cloudy but great day
here in Central Pennsylvania. It's supposed to reach 40 degrees here today and
if that happens some of our snow storm will melt... Sounds good to me. The
snow is beautiful when it first gets here but it gets to be a pain in the neck
in short order..
Yep, I'm still here and feelin' pretty good today. My colonoscopy test went
well yesterday with only one small polyp and the doctor took care of that one
with the laser.
So while I was there I made another appointment for the second part of the
throat operation I had recently. Not looking forward to that.....
Oh well things are going well here in the office. They told me to go home and
take it easy but to be honest I felt pretty good so I did get a bit more done,
here in the office, than I though I would.. Plenty of mail and work left
over for today as Monday is the day of the week that brings the largest amount
of mail.
If this cold weather keeps up we will pretty soon see ice on the river and the
river will then come to a complete halt. (At least on the surface.) That's
always a sight and very pretty except when it warms up and the ice breaks as
there is always a chance of severe ice jams. When that happens the river can
raise several feet in just minutes! I've already stood on our back deck and
literally watched the river rising.... (and this is a BIG river, about a half
mile wide where I live), It started to get pretty hairy and then all of
a sudden I heard a huge noise almost like a dynamite blast and the river went
down so fast it looked like a bath tub of water that someone had just pulled
the plug on. Yes, living along the river is never dull, summer or
winter!
Well, looking at the piles of work on my desk looks like it's back to work for
me and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!

The beginning of a brand
new week and any new weather is welcome, here in Central Pennsylvania. We've
made it through the snow storm and things are supposed to warm up here a bit
today.
I did get a good bit done over the weekend and even got some done yesterday
although I was running to the bathroom most of the day. Yes, I was preparing
for today's colonoscopy test. Even though Betty's had it done 5 times over the
years, (since her oldest daughter, Betsey, passed away from colon cancer),
this is my first. I understand the test itself is not as bad as the prep for
it. Boy, I sure hope so. The prep is not for the weak hearted. The
starving is bad enough but by golly the "cleaning" out procedure is definitely
"for the birds!"
At any rate that part is behind me and this morning I'm off to the doctor's
facility to get the test. I understand they "put you to sleep" for the test.
That's okay with me... once under you don't "feel" a thing. Then later in the
day.... it's time for some grub! I'm looking forward to that already.
I'm still receiving "stragglers" for the
Tape of the Month program from the
Tape of the Month downline builder
that ended on October 31st. It's fine as we need all the applications we can
get! The more applications, the more "overspill" for all of us including the
new sign ups.
I'm going to have to cut this post a bit short this morning as I must get
ready for my Doctor's appointment.. (Wish me luck!)
I must do a couple of minor things before I leave and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. It's a beautiful,
snowy day here at the Blue Bird Cottage in Central Pennsylvania. Yes, it's
snowing and we're supposed to get a heck of a lot more of it by tomorrow
afternoon. We may even get snowed in as it wouldn't be the first time. Matter
of fact, that's why I bought the Jeep. We used to be the only folks back here
along the river that didn't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Every one would be
moving in and out our lane easily except us. We haven't had that problem since
we bought it though. That's a good thing, as Martha says.
Betty got to her dentist's appointment on time yesterday and she goes back
again next week for more. I wonder if she's havin' fun yet???
I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Monday. I'm, right now, just hoping that we
don't get snowed in. I'd hate to go through all of that preparation and clean
out process, (and starving), on Sunday and then not be able to get to the
doctor's facility. That WOULD be a bummer! It's always something, isn't
it?
I guess I'd better make an early trip to the post office to pick up my mail as
the snow is really coming down fast!!!
I hope you're ready for a wonderful weekend and I do hope you have your
Christmas shop in hand. We shopped some more last evening and I think we only
have one or two more to get for.. I'll be glad when this part is over. I
love watching everyone open up their gifts but boy it sure is a hassle to get
them all and wrap them. Don't forget to get your Christmas cards out as
the mail is already slowing up some...
With that in mind, I'd better get some work done and YOU, YOU have a GREAT
Weekend!!!

It's a nice, sunny, but
very cold morning here in Central Pennsylvania. A prelude to a snow storm
that's supposed to arrive here tonight and last through until Saturday
morning. It will be our first snow storm of the year. I don't mind as it's
still before Christmas and early snows always get me in the Christmas mood.
The real down side is the traffic accidents that the snow always causes.
Betty has an appointment at the Dentists in a couple of hours so I'll be
hurrying to get some stuff ready for the post office until we have to leave. I
do have quite a few things to catch up on and also some applications for the
2 Bucks for Success downline
builder for the Coin Savers Club
that I didn't get done yesterday that must be done this morning. Things are
really jumping since we began promoting the Club with the
new $9.95
special enrollment offer! There's not a day goes by that someone doesn't
take the $9.95 tour at my website. As soon as someone joins, a $9.95 website
is created for them and they are notified by email. We had one member that has
placed over 200 people in this way!!! At any rate this program is growing so
fast, actually anyone who joins now will literally be at the top of the
company! This time next year there will be thousands in the company.
Deer hunting season has been going on since Monday and I've not heard that
anyone has tagged our pet deer,
Verne as of yet, so
hopefully he's doing okay. There are a lot of deer being harvested here in
Pennsylvania this year. Only a few hunters have been hurt so far and I hope it
stays that way.
Well, looking at my desks, to my right, there sure is a lot of work lying
there just waiting for me, so for me it's back to work, and YOU, YOU
have a GREAT day!!!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania but a cold one. It's colder here than the
nude statue in front of the court house in Harrisburg! Weather folks are
calling for a snow storm to begin tomorrow night. Oh well winter is close.
Betty and I did finish processing the applications for the
Tape of the Month program from the
Tape of the Month downline builder
that ended on October 31st yesterday. But did we ever cut it pretty short.
As I was working on the yesterday afternoon Betty called around to the various
places that could overnight them to Texas and see how late they would be open.
She found a UPS place below Harrisburg that said as long as we get our
"package" there before 6 PM they would definitely be in Texas by tomorrow
afternoon. (Today). I was working on them myself when Betty walked in the
office and asked if there was anything she could do to help. Boy thank
goodness for that. We quickly worked out a plan that she would work the
applications and read me what I needed to place them properly from the
computer. Things really started to move after that, however the clock kept
ticking also. It was getting close but finally at 5:31 it was done. I ran to
change clothes quickly and Betty the same. I stuffed them into a large
envelope and out the door we headed. Thank goodness we didn't run into any
traffic tie ups and I pulled in front of the UPS building at 3 minutes to 6! I
rushed in and explained to the girl at the counter that we had called earlier
and they had told us that as long as we got the package to them by 6 that it
would be in Texas tomorrow. I sure will be, she chimed and I felt a lot
better. After the paperwork I went to leave and the front door was locked. She
was right, we had to be there by 6 or we would have been locked out! Whew,
that was close.
From there we went to the Country Buffet for supper and lunch as we had not
eaten since breakfast. That was just too close....... But the applications are
in to the company as long as UPS does their job.
I put a lot of work aside yesterday to get the applications done so I have
plenty to do today before I even pick up the mail. Betty will be off to do our
laundry pretty soon so I will be able to concentrate on getting some of this
work done. She will be picking up the mail so I won't have to worry about that
until she returns.
Hunting season for deer started on Monday of this week and every time I go out
on the highway I see many deer on pickups and cars that weren't too lucky this
year. Every time I see one I think of our pet deer,
Verne. I hope he's
doing okay.
That's the story for this morning... With the pile of work left over
from yesterday, it's back to work for me, and YOU, YOU have a
GREAT Wednesday!!!

It's a snowy day here in
Central Pennsylvania. I don't think we'll receive any appreciable amount but
it's coming down heavily as I write this.
Betty's feeling much better today. She has been feeling lousy since the day
after Thanksgiving Day. Must have been a touch of something that doesn't last
too long as she is just about back up to par.
Sorry I'm late getting this post out this morning as it's been a mad house
around this office this morning.. All of the applications
to join the
Tape of the Month program from the
Tape of the Month downline builder
that ended on October 31st must be processed by about 4 this afternoon
at the latest.... Because of this situation I'm going to make this post
very short today.... I'll be back tomorrow with more. I did take the
time to put together a super joke sheet today... don't forget to check it out,
below...... Have a GOOD one today!

It's a beautiful sunny day
here in Central Pennsylvania...... (A bit on the nippy side though!)
I hope you had a GREAT holiday! I know we sure did!
We really got a ton of work done over the weekend including all the end of the
month stuff for the
Once A Month Association. That was a load off my mind as yesterday was the
deadline to join the
Tape of the Month program from the
Tape of the Month downline builder
that ended on October 31st. We have a load of applications to go through and
place where they belong and then forward them "over night" to the company in
Texas. It's going to take hours, maybe more than a day, to get them all done
and I'm sure there is a load of mail at the post office waiting my attention.
We had a GREAT time down at Betty's son John's on Thanksgiving. A
GREAT dinner and a wonderful visit.. Of course John and I spent most
of the afternoon on his computers....
That left Friday Saturday and Sunday to catch up here in the office as it was
pretty cold to get anything done out doors...
Looks like we're in for a very productive day here at the office.... So for me
it's back to work and YOU, YOU have a GREAT day!!!
