T.G.I.F. Are you
ready for the weekend? Well this week I'm ready and then some. This has been a
miserable week as far as health goes around this house. Plus, with the work
that HAD to be done, well, let me say that if nothing else, it was
trying...... I am glad it's over... I would not want to do this week
over again. NO WAY! Looks like we're in for a beautiful weekend.. Let's
just enjoy that. I must go to the doctor in an hour or so and I'm not looking
forward to that. Did you ever take notice that the doctor patiently waits
until your done telling him what you think is wrong with you and then tells
you what he thinks.. Nothing near what the heck you think though is it? No, at
least not in our situations....... Why do we even bother to go to the
doctor's? I guess we just don't want to trust our own judgment. We want
to think that these dudes know much more than we do and that they will
actually help us. Yes, I'm sure that's what we think. But did you ever notice
that if you abstain from going to the Doctor that most of what you have
does actually just go away? Yes, it does.... Do they help? Yes, I'm sure
at times they really do... It's just that in most times the only one that is
going to help your condition is you! Your own attitude and your own
resolve.... And for god's sake check out the WEB site:
http://my.webmd.com/ for help. You can even
Email a real doctor for help and get an answer!!! Use your own good
sense but then use whatever is available to you to resolve your problem.. Just
use your own good judgment!!! Use your common sense!!! Take care of
yourself I want to see you back here tomorrow and many tomorrows after.......
To my mail order friends... Don't forget the $1 pre-launch
program! Go there and join now as you do NOT want to be left out. My
main MAN in the program, Mark Smith, just called me and told me that he
has sent out another 40 mailings, first class, since yesterday! Get in on
Mark and my overspill. Join NOW!

It's actually chilly
outside today! Unbelievable! After record high temperatures over the last
couple of weeks it's not even expected to reach 70 degrees here, in Central
Pennsylvania today. That should be a lesson to me. Be careful what you wish
for.
I've been feeling better day by day here lately trying to shake a bad Summer
cold. However, it seems now that I have a bit of a snag. I'm pretty sure that
I have a sinus infection. I even have some swelling on my face. So I called
the doctor. I figured I'd better make a trip to him for some diagnosing and
perhaps a prescription for some antibiotics. However, it seems that today is
my Doctor's day off. (I sometimes wander that If I didn't have bad luck I
wouldn't have any at all!) At any rate all I accomplished is to get an
appointment for tomorrow. I sure as heck didn't want to mention that I was in
"Bad Shape". They would immediately send me to the emergency room at the
hospital. There I would sit until this evening before someone had the time to
look at me and then I'd be there all night before they would even find a bed.
Besides if you're sick the emergency room or the hospital is NO place to be.
The last time I drove, (yes I drove the car there), just to speak with my
heart doctor. Well, before midnight that day I went into cardiac arrest twice
and ended up in the ICU, (Intensive Care Unit), for nine days and while there
had two more cardiac arrests! All that because when in the Emergency room to
"talk" to my surgeon, they put me on an IV and then put a medicine in it that
I was allergic to! No, I think it's best just to wait 'til tomorrow and visit
the doctor. These days I'm a bit chicken to go to the hospital's ER Room.
I've added some new products and A web
business to my business, check them out by clicking on the yellow link above,
in the masthead.
To my mail order friends... Don't forget about the $1 pre-launch
program. Check out yesterday's post for more details. Also, I want to let you
know that Herb Ehlers is closing his mail order business due to Health
Reasons. It seems that Herb has been Ill for the last couple of months and
they are still running tests to pinpoint his problem. He's already lost 25
pounds and is sick constantly. Under these conditions he can no longer operate
his one man mail order business. We're going to miss Herb and I'm going to
miss his unique programs that I promote.. If you have Herb on your data base
please remove his name and address. If you are promoting any of his programs
please STOP! If you receive any orders as a broker, please return the
orders to your customers. Do not forward any more orders to Herb! Take
care Herb and please get well!!!

Isn't it amazing how
someone can mention something and it will bring back to you a rush of
memories. They are advertising on TV about a movie when President John Kennedy
was assassinated. All of a sudden I was remembering what I was doing years ago
when I heard of him being shot. Now I realize that you may not even have been
born when this event took place. But it you were around then, I'll bet you can
remember what you were doing then. If we can remember something that impresses
us so easily, why can't we recall everything that happened to us on any given
date. Yet, the memories must be there. They claim that when you're
hypnotized that you can recall details better. Now there would be a real
invention. A memory pill. Want to remember something, here, take this pill!
I'll get to work on that right away. Who say's everything has already been
invented?
Things are very busy around my office as more and more inquiries and small
orders arrive. Looks like the FALL rush is starting early this year.
To my mail order friends the $1 pre-launch
program is growing by the hour. I was talking to Mark Smith last evening, who
is on my first level and Mark is promoting the program with all of his
resources. Mark is not only signing folks up by the bucket loads but he is
also following up with them to insure that the join the main program. So If
you are in the program be assured that you are receiving spillover from
myself and Mark's efforts. If you are not in the program click here: $1 pre-launch.
Then print out the circular with your printer, fill it out and send it along
with a buck to the Harry Cross Group. Then print out another copy white out my
name and put your name on the circular and begin promoting right away. It's
only a buck and I'm sure you'll sign up a good many people. There are a lot of
folks out there who do still recognize a good solid money making program.
Don't be left out in the cold with this one. Well, it's back to work for me
and you have a GREAT day!

It's a beautiful day here,
in Central Pennsylvania. Temperatures in the 80s with low humidity.
Can't beat that! I spoke of our
"wild" rabbit
yesterday. That we haven't seen him for a few days. Well, I guess that's all
it took as this morning when Betty went out to get the paper, there was
Thumper. Oh, that's another thing, we'll have to change "his" name as it seems
the "he" is a "she"..... The neighbor thinks she looks like an Annabelle so
that's her new name. Betty and I are both feeling a little better today
so that must mean that our colds must now be on the downslide and none too
soon. I'll be glad to be rid of it.
I think I'll clean off the deck out back and do a little barbequing this
afternoon. Chicken that is as we don't eat red meant any more. Not for 9 years
now. Every year for 3 years in a row starting in 1991 I would develop a clog
in one of my heart arteries. I gave up smoking the first year and developed an
exercise program. After the 3rd trip to the hospital I knew I'd have to come
up with something else. So after a lot of reading I decided to give up red
meat, altogether. The only meat I eat are chicken breast, turkey breast, and
fish. That's it. Since 1993 until today I have not developed any more clogs.
(Knock on wood). As I was getting one each year I can only attribute it
to the no red meat diet. If you have any circulatory problems, you may want to
consider it. It's kind of like smoking, as the first few months are the
hardest. It's a little easier now than it was then as they now have veggie
burgers etc.. They also now make "all turkey white meat" hot dogs. They're
expensive but they are truly good for you. Well that's my story... At least
about our diet. There are a few things that you must give up like "pig
roasts", etc. (ha ha)... Like your system really needs a hog roast!
Okay, okay, I'll shut up now and you can eat what you like...
For my mail order friends.... The bulk mail went out yesterday. If you
have an ad or circular in it you should see a checking copy in a few days.
I'll be catching up with other orders and inquiries today as I must soon start
getting the
Once A Month Association end
of the month stuff over the next few days. NOW, I'll get back to work and YOU
have a Great day!!!

The beginning of a brand
new week! Hot dog! Are you rearing to go? I've still got a little of my Summer
cold hanging on but Betty is still about in the middle of the course of her
cold. She did get moving some yesterday and worked assembling a bulk mailing.
She finished this morning so I'll be taking that to the post office. We of
course stayed home on Saturday. That's the first we stayed at home on Saturday
for a long time. I worked most of yesterday and got a good bit done. Looks
like my week is off to a great start. We're still hoping for some rain
here, in Central Pennsylvania. We really need it. I still have lot's of left
over work to finish today and the UPS driver was already here and dropped off
a box with 1,000 circulars for me to mail. I'll start mailing them before the
end of this week. We haven't seen the
"wild" rabbit
since Thursday of last week. That's okay cause Betty hasn't been up to even
sitting on the front steps and feeding the little devil.
The $1 pre-launch is
really taking off. More and more are joining the program. It looks already
like it's going to be a successful promotion. If you haven't joined this one
yet now's the time! Click here,
$1 pre-launch, print the
circular, fill it out and send it in with a buck. Then print a second copy,
white out my name, put your name on the circular and start promoting
immediately! You will get assigned a number for the Harry Cross office
but you can start promoting with just your name. Also, email me with your
number when you get it and I'll make you a custom circular, print it with my
laser printer and mail it to you in an unfolded 9 X 12" Envelope. If you'd
like to check out the company that the pre-launch is for click here:
International Coin Liquidators.
The company is well constructed and has products that everyone enjoys
collecting! I must now do the paper work and box up the bulk mail so I'll get
back to work. YOU have a good one!

T.G.I.F. Another weekend is
almost upon us. Are you ready? I know I am for this one. The mighty summer
cold still reigns in our household. Betty is still sick as a dog and I'm not
feelin' so great myself. We'll need the weekend to hopefully rest up and shake
this darn illness. I think this is about the worse cold I've ever had. It's
almost like the cold germs are getting stronger. We received a little rain
last night with the promise of more today. I sure hope so. About one half of
Pennsylvania is under a drought warning. Things are drying up around here.
I think we've run the air conditioners more this summer than any other than I
can remember.
I'm still working to get out another bulk mailing but I don't think I'm going
to make it before the weekend. With my helper, Betty, on sick leave, and me
not feeling so good myself, I'm not moving at top speed. Usually I'd have
things ready to assemble by now but I only have about half of it ready.
Actually, I think I'm going to take a couple of hours off this afternoon and
just try and get a nap.. Maybe that will make me feel better. I still have a
bunch of things that must be done before the weekend so I guess I'll get to 'em.
YOU Have a GREAT weekend!!!

We're on the back side of
the week. Today and tomorrow and bingo, we're into another great weekend. In
the meantime just enjoy today. Never wish your life away! When you feel
yourself wishing it was 5 o'clock so you can go home, just imagine what you
would think about if you were sitting on death row and had just 2 hours left
of your life. I'm sure you wouldn't wish that the 2 hours were up so you could
get it over with, would you? I know I wouldn't. You've got to teach yourself
to enjoy all times of your life. What's the old adage? "You must take the bad
with the good." Well in this case you must enjoy the "not so good times" with
the "good times." Always try and look at the bright side. Around our house
today, it isn't so bright. The cold that Betty caught from me has set in with
all of it's misery. Not much sleep for her last night with all the coughing
etc. She's feeling tired and miserable. I'm still fighting my cold but I
think mine is on the down side. At any rate, I think I've lost my helper for a
few days. I was hoping to get out two bulk mailings this week but I don't
think she's up to it at all. Oh well, I don't think the world will end if we
don't get another out.
I did receive two more entries for the
Once A Month Association
so I have two Welcome and Promotional Kits to get out this afternoon. It take
me about 45 minutes each to do them. Plus, I must get out the receipts for the
monthly auto charges for OAMA dues and I also must work on my mailing lists. I
know you're probably busy too.... sooooooo.... I'll get my butt back to work
and let you get on with your day. Have a GOOD one!!!!!

Another beautiful day here,
in Central Pennsylvania. My cold is really breaking up just fine, however, a
new fly in the ointment.... Betty has caught a cold from me and today she's in
bad shape. Same as mine started extremely sore throat and some one turned the
sprinklers on for the nose, etc. I hope hers doesn't hang on as long as mine
has. She has a better immune system then me so hopefully she'll shake it
faster. We're better off without visitors as of now... I'd hate to
spread this misery around. At least outside our house, I'm afraid the damage
has already been done here.
The last time I stopped at "Harrisburg Copier" I had ordered 4 bottles of ink
for my printer from them. Each bottle is about a pint and a half and will do
about 5,000 to 8,000 8˝" X 11" sheets one sided, all depends how much
coverage. At any rate when I went to pick up the ink they had only 2 bottles
but had charged me for 4. I told them that's fine but give me a call when the
other 2 bottles came from their supplier. Okay they said, be about 2 days.
That was around 3 weeks ago and yesterday when I put the "last" bottle in the
printer, I started to think, I can't believe that I've run out of ink already
and then it hit me, they had never called! I called them and the lady went to
check her stock. When she returned to the phone she said, "He said he'll save
you a couple of bottles." Oh, I said then they ARE in. "Oh sure", she
said. She never even mentioned that someone had forgotten to call me. I wonder
how some of these businesses stay open now days. Seems like no one cares about
what the customer thinks any more. Betty and I were talking the other day just
about that. Remember years ago, it seemed that no matter where you went to
shop they provided rest rooms. Now, you're lucky to shop somewhere where they
provide restrooms for their customer's convenience. It's like they don't gave
a darn. Then they wander why they are going bankrupt! Very few think of
customer service anymore except one that comes to mind, "Walmart", and look
how they ARE growing! They remember the secret.
Plenty to get done, here in my home office today, so it's back to work for me.
YOU have a GREAT day!!!!

Welcome to a more pleasant
day here, in Central Pennsylvania, than we've seen in almost 2 weeks..
Yes, finally we got a break in the hot, humid weather. However still no good
substantial rain. We need rain badly.
I don't normally say anything about the news, but I've got to mention this as
it's another prime example of frivolous law suits.
Robert
DeNiro filed notice of a $1 million lawsuit Monday over a photograph of him
and fellow actor Sean Penn blowing out their birthday candles at a private
party last year. He claims that someone snuck in and snapped a picture of him
and Sean. BIG DEAL! Even if someone didn't sneak in that just means that one
of his guests did it. Is it such a big deal to have a picture of them
celebrating their birthdays? Grow up! That's one of BIG the reasons why prices
on just about everything
are so outrageously priced! If people were allowed to bring these kinds of
stupid lawsuits years ago, there would have been a lot of things that we now
enjoy that would never had been invented. How far do you thing the Wright
Brothers would have gotten with the invention of the airplane if they would
have had to worry about people suing them for getting hurt from flying or from
walking into a running propeller? They would have been out of business before
they got started! How about the invention of the car? Boy there's another that
people are still trying to bring stupid law suits. How about the lady who
sued, (and won), for dumping hot coffee on herself? If Mc Donald's would have
had this kind of dumb suit when they had opened their first hamburger stand
they would have been shot down before they even thought of a franchise
business! If people would be a little less greedy the world be a better place
for all of us to get along with each other.... Boy, I do go off on some
things...
I received two more members for the
Once A Month Association
yesterday. I must get out a welcome kit to each this afternoon plus some more
printing and folding here in the office so I'll get back to work.. YOU
have a GREAT day!

The beginning of a brand
new week! I'm still fighting my summer cold. Even though I do feel somewhat
better it's still hanging on for dear life. We had a pretty good weekend.
(Other than the cold.) Yesterday one of our neighbors, Jeff Reed pulled in on
an ATV, (All Terrain Vehicle), with a big box of tomatoes. Said he was going
around to the neighbors passing them out as his family couldn't eat them fast
enough. For as dry as it's been, he said it's the best tomato year he's had in
quite awhile. Soooooo we ended up with some good tasty home grown tomato's!
Good neighbors are hard to come by.
Our weatherman lied to us on Saturday. He said by today we'd have much cooler
and less humid weather. Not so.. It's still hot and very humid. Now he's
saying tomorrow it will be cooler. Did you ever take notice that these days
with all the sophisticated equipment the weather forecasters have, including
even space stations... they can't forecast even forty eight hours and
sometimes even twenty four hours ahead! I remember when I was a lad, yes I can
remember that far back, when the weatherman called for snow, it snowed, and he
had the amount pretty close, most of the time. Maybe they should start using
the methods they used to use. They might do a better job!
I did finish writing and pasting up the magazine/newsletter,
Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities, over the weekend and should
have a new issue in the mail today or tomorrow. Whew, that's a job and a half.
The river is still going down lower and lower. Even so though, there was a lot
of activity out there yesterday. A lot of folks on canoe trips going down the
river and a lot of fisherman although now they can walk around in the river to
fish. They don't really need a boat to get to the good spots with the river
this low.
Well, I have a few orders and inquiries to get out plus some more circular
printing and a lot of folding to do today so I'll get back to work. YOU have a
Good one!!!

T.G.I.F. Yep, we're at the
end of the week again. A VERY hot, humid week and it looks like we're in for a
hot, humid weekend also. That's okay I guess because my Summer Cold is really
set in me now and I can't even think straight. I had a bad night last night
and ended up with 2˝ hours sleep. Hopefully I can catch a nap later on this
afternoon. I sure do need it. If I could just get a break in the coughing for
awhile. I'd be glad just for that. Oh well, that aside, with it so hot and
uncomfortable outside maybe I'll get some time to rest up and try to shake
this thing. I'm right in the middle of writing, setting up, and printing my
magazine,
Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities, I was really hoping that by
now that would be done and we would be assembling and mailing out the weekly
issue but I didn't get as much done as I thought I would yesterday even though
I did work until after 10 PM last night. Oh well, we should be done with
everything by Monday and hopefully get it in the mail then.
I haven't seen that many animals around here lately. I think the weather is
making them listless as well. I think they are holed up in the nests, holes,
whatever... Even the birds don't sound as cheery as they usually are.
Just think in a couple or three months I'll be complaining how cold it is!
Right now it's back to work for me to get ready for the weekend. I hope
you have a Wonderful Weekend!!! (See ya right back here, on the Daily, Monday,
unless something radical happens that I'll have to post before then.)

Another hot, hazy, humid
day here in Central Pennsylvania. I'm still feeling miserable. I think people
are right when they say a Summer cold is worse than one in the Winter! At
least that's the way I feel at the moment. My nose is sore from blowing it.
Thank goodness for "Puffs". That is one soft hankie!
The river is still falling, I just called the River Watch at the Penn State
University and the river is at exactly 3 feet, (at Harrisburg.) That's not too
impressive for boating and/or fishing. Oh sure there are deeper spots in the
river. Right out from our back yard about 75 feet out in the river is a
trench, or they call it a channel that was formed years ago when they used to
float logs down the river to the saw mills. That channel is now about 5 foot
deep, plenty deep enough for some good swimming. Just getting to it though you
have to wade through a lot of rocks. Also, down near Harrisburg there is a dam
across the Susquehanna that makes it nice for boating and fishing year round.
If it's hot where you are for goodness sakes don't forget to crack your car
windows a bit before you lock and leave it. Oh yeah, and let the dog at home.
He may not like it at the moment but it's better for him to stay home until
the weather breaks.
This afternoon and evening I'll be writing some articles, pasting up, and
printing my small magazine,
Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities, between the sneezing and
blowing my bugle. YOU have a good one!

The middle of the week has
arrived here in central Pennsylvania to another scorching, hot, humid,
scalding day! Calling for at least 98 degrees today which if reached will be a
record! Well, whatever I thought I was coming down with yesterday has NOT gone
away. It has gained momentum and set in good. Sore throat, fever, headaches,
bones ache and even my eyeballs hurt. I must have got a total of about 3 hours
sleep last night. In other words, I feel like heck. It's probably one of those
things that's going to have to run it's course. I'm not looking forward to it,
but I have no choice.
I was reading the following in another publication and believe me I've seen my
share of hospital bills etc. I don't know what this has to do with it but I
thought it was interesting. It was called "THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!" ----
It is pretty much illegal to offer "ANY" part of the human body for money. Ask
any prostitute! Still, it is perfectly alright for the doctors to charge
$40,000 or $50,000 for the eight hour surgical procedure to replace a body
part, right? Notice, the prostitute isn't really selling anything --- merely a
service, for when she sells her body part, it is still there, okay? So, where
am I going with this? I'll be dad-burned if I Know!
This does have a funny side though. Anyone can donate an organ or organs and
it is perfectly legal. You cannot charge for it. BUT---even though it is your
organ being donated, only the doctors are allowed to profit from your organ!!!
And the hospitals. And, the taxman! Just like the prostitute, it is perfectly
legal to give it away free--- just don't charge for it! Does something sound
wrong here?
When you start thinking that deep..... maybe it's time to get a life???
I'll be stumbling around the office here today trying to get a few things
done. Even though I feel miserable, some things MUST be done. You can bet your
bippies that I'll have both air conditioners on HIGH! You keep cool
too!!!

Looks like we're in for
another steamy day here, in Central Pennsylvania. I got up this morning with a
very sore throat and I feel like I've been run over by a truck. I sure hope
I'm not catching a cold as I hate a summer cold. It can be miserable. At any
rate it looks like one of those days that I'm going to wish was over before it
gets started right. I don't like wishing my life away. I'm going to take some
medicine and hope for the best day I can have, feeling miserable. One of the
good things about working from home is maybe this afternoon I'll take a half
hour and lie down. Hopefully between that and the medicine I'll get the jump
on whatever is hitting me. ----- Whoa, I just took a few minutes and
gargled with some warm salt water. It supposed to help but at the moment it
hasn't helped that much... I'll have to try some other things.
Oh well, at any rate I still should be able to get some work done today. More
printing and also I must write some articles today and one typesetting job.
Certainly enough to keep me busy. Today's river report for the Susquehanna is
that it looks like it dropped another 2 inches since yesterday even though we
had a real hard downpour last night. However, we found out this morning that
it must have been localized rain as a friend who lives only a mile from here
"as the crow flies" had no rain at all last night. Rains like that will not
help the mighty Susquehanna recover much, if any. I'd better get my butt to
work. You have a Good one today!

The beginning of a brand
new very hot and humid week. We had a great break from the humidity last week
so I guess we have to take the bad with the good. John, Betty's son, stopped
in Saturday evening to work on his boat. While he was here I took a couple of
pictures of John and of the river so you can see how low it's getting. I've
put them in another photo album on the left side of this page in the column. I
also took pictures of a ground hog, (woodchuck), that decided to visit us
right out side my office's sliding glass doors. The pictures turning out
pretty good considering they were taken through the glass. If I would have
opened the door he would have run off fast. It's called
Chuck's Daily
Photo Gallery 5. Just click for a look. For a larger view of pictures just
click on the picture itself. That will bring it up to normal size on your
screen. Yesterday Betty and I just lounged around most of the day. We did take
time to clean out the rain gutters though and I cooked on the deck. It was a
really nice day with plenty of traffic on the river to hold our interest. Lots
of kids on tubing trips yesterday.
Today I have several printing jobs to get done and several orders to catch up
and I haven't even picked up today's mail. So I have plenty to keep me busy
today. I'll be getting back to work now and YOU have a GREAT day!!!

T.G.I.F. Yep, we're in for
another weekend. I have nothing special planned for this weekend but I hope to
just get some time off. I will get a little work done, here in the office
hopefully as I am a little behind with some things. Other than that... I am
just going to relax. Maybe do some cooking out on the deck on the grill. I may
do some tidying up here in the office. Now, now don't get all bent out of
shape. I know some of you won't believe me. Those that has visited this
catastrophe, (my office), probably won't as most of the time it looks as
though a hurricane has struck within the last 5 minutes. But once in a
while..... I get the urge to just clean up.. The only back draw from that is
when I try to find something. I can never find anything after I tidy up...
Some kind of spell someone has cast on me I guess.
We visited the farmer's market at the Farm Show Building in Harrisburg and I
picked up a nice box of home grown tomatoes. Boy are they ever tasty! They had
"seconds" marked on the side of the box and indeed there were a few than
didn't look that great but most were not only in good shape but the taste is
out of this world! Must have been at least 20 pounds of them and I got 'em all
for only 5 bucks! What a deal. We've already shared them with some family and
neighbors. Last year I had a small tomato patch down in the "lower 40" along
the river. But when you get buys like this, it makes you wonder if it's worth
all of the trouble to grow them yourself.
I've got some printing to do this afternoon and also a few small orders to get
out so I'd better get to it. YOU have a Great weekend!!!

I know you're sick of
hearing me brag up the weather here, in Central Pennsylvania, so I won't
mention it this morning. (But it is a GREAT day!) It's nice to be able to open
the sliding glass door here in my office right beside where my main computer
sits. It's a little chilly but I don't mind it at all. What I do mind is the
traffic noise from the nearby new highway that has by-passed Dauphin. Now that
the new highway is a "limited access" highway the noise has really increased.
The highway is about 500 yards "as the crow flies" from the front of our
cottage. In the Summer a lot of greenery grows up between our place and the
road and does muffle the sound to some extent but it's still pretty
loud. Out back where the deck is, the noise is blocked by the house, and we
don't mind it at all. However, sometimes in my office, when the door is open,
and I get a phone call, I must close the door to hear the telephone properly.
It's like a drone. It is surprising just how loud the traffic gets when it
speeds up and maintains a high speed. They did build sound barriers though the
small town of Dauphin and you really don't have much noise at all in town.
However, we're about a mile from town and they didn't put up and sound
barriers out here in the boonies. Oh well progress marches on. I still
wouldn't trade our place for any other.
The week is drawing to a close pretty fast and I hope to get a lot more work
done before that happens. Later today Betty and I will head across the mighty
Susquehanna River to eat lunch in Mechanicsburg and we must do some shopping
for the house and for my office both. It seems no matter how much you stock of
anything you're constantly running out of things. Just when I think I'm pretty
well stocked up on say paper for printing circulars, someone will order a
color that I'm low on or I'll get two or three orders right in a row for the
same color and bingo, it's time for another trip to the supply house. It would
be nice if I had the room for storage, and also the money, to really stock
ahead on these things but I don't see that happening in the near future.
It's kind of hand to mouth on some things... Especially on expensive things. I
did however find a deal on toner cartridges for my laser printer. Normally
they sell for $59.95 but I think it was "Staples" who decided to "go out of
stock" on this particular cartridge. They had them for $29.95 so I bought the
last 3 they had in stock. That should last me quite awhile. You almost must
take advantage when something like this comes up. However, this does tie up
operating cash. Well, I must get several things done before we head for the
"big city" so I'll be getting back to work. YOU have a GREAT day!!!

Wow, this weather could
last all year long and you'd never hear a peep out of me. It's another
beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania! Had a good report for Betty
yesterday at the doctor's. Seems her blood pressure is under control and he
doesn't have to see her for 3 months. Great! I finally got all the lawn mowed,
even the "lower forty." Boy with weather like this I not only don't mind
working outside, I love it! Now, I can take my heart walks again. It was just
too darn hot there, for awhile. Even in the early morning or late evening. My
favorite time of the year will be here before long, Fall. It will almost be
time to clean the stoker and get ready for the heating season. We'll have to
order coal right away this year as we are almost out in the big coal bin in
the "shop" at the end of our cottage. I don't mind though as when furnace
cleaning time comes I know my favorite time of the year is almost here.
Betty's headed to the launder mat this morning to do the wash. That should
take a few hours as she was waiting for the weather to break to do the major
wash. Now she's in for a GIANT wash day! We saw some friends yesterday in a
dollar store that we don't see too often but do keep track here in the WEB.
Kathy Fouse and husband Bill. Great to see them again and Kathy looks good
after the operation she had. Geez, she's going back to work on Monday already.
Time really does fly! Good luck Kathy and take it easy for awhile. The river
is beautiful as usual but it's really getting low. If I can get a
chance today I'll snap a picture of it and put it up here for you to see.
To my mail order friends: Just when I thought we were getting slow because of
Summer, the orders are still coming in on a regular basis. I still say
it pays to advertise and do business all year round and not take the
Summer off. If you haven't jumped in the
Pre-Launch Buck deal, do
it now. We only have a almost 2 months to push it but should be able to
develop a GREAT bonus check in that time! It's back to work for me. Have
a GOOD one!!!

It's a beautiful day
here today in Central Pennsylvania. Betty has a Doctor's appointment this
morning so I'm a little pressed for time. Should be back home in good time
this afternoon to get some work done. The appointment is a follow up for the
new blood pressure medicine the doctor put her on a few months ago so nothing
serious.
The Susquehanna River that runs in my back yard is really getting low. Lack of
enough rain has taken it down so low that it's really not fit for good
boating. I did see some kids on a tubing trip yesterday afternoon and I'm
seeing more and more canoes and kayaks on the river. It's so low that the
current is pretty slow and it's fit for navigating with the smaller crafts.
It's still not bad swimming but you have to walk out about a 100 feet to get
in the "channel" that is about 5 to 7 feet deep. I'm looking forward to the
river rising.
Yesterday the mailman was good to me as I received some good Print & Mail
orders along with a few smaller orders for various things. I look forward to
getting home this afternoon and getting to work on these orders. I better get
my butt in gear as we must leave in a few minutes.. You have a GREAT
day!

A brand new week and it's
going to me a nice one here in Central Pennsylvania. Today is supposed to be
the last VERY hot and humid day in this week as there is a cold front
predicted to roll in this afternoon along with thunder storms. The rest of the
week looks real good! Friday afternoon we had some storms roll through here
and our electric was out for almost 3 hours. Betty was worried about her
tropical fish not having enough air in the tank as she has quite a few babies
so I dug out my generator. Took some work to get it going as I haven't used it
for about 2 and a half years but it did fire up although I had to run it with
the choke on some. I hooked up the fish tank lights, pump, and filter. I also
plugged in the kitchen light above the table and the TV in the kitchen. I
didn't bother to hook up any of my computers as the electric company said the
juice would only be out for a few hours. So Betty and I sat in the kitchen and
worked some crossword puzzles. (One of our favorite pastimes.)
Things are looking good here around my home office today. I have several small
orders to get out plus whatever today's mail brings. I finally have Norton
Anti-Virus installed in all 3 of my networked computers. Hopefully that will
keep them pretty safe. All of the updates have been downloaded and installed
in all of them.
I still must archive last month's Chuck's Daily posts and shrink this page to
just this month's posts before I'm done with this page today, so I'd better
get back to work and let you get back to whatever you where doing. Have a GOOD
one!

T.G.I.F. I'll say! I don't
know about you, but I'm ready for a nice relaxing weekend. Er... well, at
least a weekend that takes me out of this office for awhile. I know I'll be
back in here off and on doing this and that but hopefully most of the time
I'll be elsewhere doing chores or whatever around the house. It's been a long
hard week. Most days I've worked 'til midnight and past, the rest, except last
night, was 'til after 11 PM. Too late to work... But if you must get "stuff"
done then you must do what it takes!
I'm running a little late today as when I got up and went out for the paper it
seemed pretty bearable as far as the heat and humidity goes so I decided to
dig out the lawnmower and have a go at the yard. I got most of it done accept
the "lower 40" down along the river as that was in full sun. In the hour or so
that I mowed, the temperature shot up 6 degrees. It's supposed to go to 96 to
98 degrees here in Central Pennsylvania and feel like between 105 and 110 with
the humidity factored in! I know to some, like folks in Phoenix that's not a
big deal, but I don't think Phoenix, AZ has the humidity we have here, in the
east. This afternoon is predicted to bring Thunder and lightning storms and
maybe hail as a cool front moves through. I don't think that will last long
though as they are still calling for hot and humid tomorrow in the 90's! I do
feel a little better though as the yard was getting unsightly as it's been too
hot to mow, (At least for me.) Now if I can get another little break in the
heat to mow the lower 40 I'll feel MUCH better.
I'm still playing catch up here in the office for the "to do" things I had sat
aside to get the end of the month stuff done. Slowly but surely I'm getting
caught up. As soon as that happens I'll be writing and pasting up another
edition of my small publication,
Chuck's Mail Order News & Opportunities. I doubt I'll even get to that
before Monday though as I plan to take some hours off this weekend. I know you
probably have "stuff" to get done so you can get on with your weekend...
so..... You have a GREAT weekend and I'll get my butt back to work!

We're on the backside of
the week already. This week is really shooting by. Time always goes fast when
you're busy. Why is that? I guess it only goes fast if you like what you're
doing. If you don't like something time just drags by, doesn't it? Speaking of
time, or ageing, same thing I guess, did you ever take notice the older you
get the more you mind the temperature extremes? The heat seems to be a bigger
problem when you reach geezer status like me. My age, plus the doctor tells
me, some of my heart medicine reacts badly to sunshine. I guess I'm in better
shape at night, just like Dracula. I'm a prime candidate to become a Vampire!
That would be okay for Summer but I don't think I'd like wandering around at
night looking for food, (blood), on the cold Winter nights. (Brrrrrrrr...) No
that's definitely not for me. How did I get off on this subject?
It's been a long, long week... This is the way I get when I need a weekend
break. I hope it gets here soon...
Everything got in the mail yesterday for the
Once A Month Association
plus some small orders but plenty more here on my desk waiting my attention.
So with that in mind... you have a GREAT day and I'll get back to work!!!
